My new one-week-old refrigerator was not making ice. Called Lowes, got a customer service number to call. After 34 minutes of waiting, I gave up. Went on-line, got another number and when I called, the girl who I talked to told me I need to do service while she was on the line. I bought warranty for what?

Can't file complaint with lowes

I have several issues at play re.lowes. One is that in attempting to file a complaint with their corporate office, I have found it impossible to reach anyone .

The customer service number gives you the email address, and vice versa. This is a tactic used by many corporations with hopes that you will just give up ergo...complaint resolved.

Secondly, I attempted to return some fruit trees to the lowes/Johnstown, Pa storeand despite their one year growing guarentee, the original SKUs and other identification on the trees, I was told by the return cashier, then the manager that unless I could provide a sales receipt for said items, that they could not be guaranteed.....Why not just advertise that you must keep your receipt in order to return the dead plants, but then that would show that the guarantee is for most parts, worthless!!! They said they could not look up the purchases in question because they did not keep records from as far back as last fall.

THEY WERE OF NO HELP WHATSOEVER, AND DID NOT EVEN TRY TO APPEASE ME IN ANY WAY. Well now they have yet another pissed consumer who will go to Home Depot!!!!

If you checked their return policy prior to making the purchase you would clearly see it does state receipt required . But then again, it’s easier to stage your little mini rebellion after the fact.

Warranty

My roof was change but it has filtration they come to fix it but still have the filtration. The wood have some water damage and I request for Lowes come in see the problem. I dont want to deal with the contractors since a pay Lowes I need you guys deal with this issue. Thank you,

Angry at purchase of pitiful product

I purchased a Craftsman lawnmower (Model # 11A-A2T2793) from Lowe's. It worked ONE time! I put oil prior to use and emptied the lawnmower of gas after but the Carburetor went out anyway. Turns out that the carburetor was not covered under the warranty. It was an expensive one-time use disposable lawnmower. Lowe's is refusing to take it back.

Refusal to deliver products

On 3/16/2021 purchased 12 patio doors to be delivered on 3/26/2021. doors did not arrive New delivery was 4/2.

received 4 on 4/5 and was told other 8 were being pulled from other stores to be delivered on 4/9. No delivery. Talked with Mark in millworks on Saturday and he said because doors had a in stock number they could not be specail ordered and we would have to wait for them to arrive with stock orders. Said they had 17 coming in but 23 sold so was a possibility wouldn't get my doors until the 16th or the 26th..told that was unacceptable as job has a deadline completion date of 4/26.

Talked wit Sean on 4/10 at 6:30 p.m. trying to get doors. We told him we had located doors at other Lowe's in the area and they needed to obtain them.

He suggested we cancel the order at Lowe's 232 and go purchase them at the other Lowes at the current price then said he would see if he could get them and call me by noon on Monday 4/12. He did no call and I spent 3 hours on the phone trying to speak with him to no avail.

Terrible Service

Hi,

My name is Ken Friel, a masonry contractor working in the Murfreesboro, Huntsville area.

A few weeks ago we visited your store in Fort Payne, AL. When we walked in there was only one cashier with several employees around the customer service desk.

I asked to see the store manger. He came and when asked if this is normal, he said someone should have called more cashiers. The line was past the paint dept. with over a dozen waiting to be checked out.

He did not even offer to let us check out at the customer service counter, even though, no customers were present there.

We came into the store at Fort Payne around 2 P.M. (CST) and witnessed some of the conditions from our last visit, with not as long a line as before (8-10). The customer service lady was helpful when asked to talk with the store manager again, even ringing up our purchase.

When the store manager came, he did not seemed pleased to see me. I told him what was going on like the last time.

He was asked by me if this is fair? He said not according to you.

Let me get to the point. We will not buy equipment and hardware as before with such an attitude from your people. Why would we?

If you cannot have a reasonable expectation of a simple transaction; why would we risk a problem we might have with a high ticket item?

There was no provocation on my part. However, if you un-reasonable time out of my schedule, going to ask why.

In short.

There is competition. When a "manager" acts like a teenager, we'll go somewhere else for our business needs.

I had a new roof installed the contractors destroyed the new lawn i just planted cars leaking oil on my new paved driveway also when taken the old roof off did not cover the hole house and one of my 6 month Andeson windows got damaged the white siding has tar marks on it now also they stomped the plants in the front of the house removed my gutters tore off some of the aluminum fascia i was told they would replace it with new they went in my garage with out my permission to get the old and put it back up on my house ive called and text lowes and still no return calls

That's what you get for being cheap and having a roof installed via a Big Box low-price hardware store. Had you spent a little more, you would have had a professional team in and out.

Hopefully, you learned a lesson. You got what you paid for and some.

Absolutely the worst customer service of any company! I have been a customer for over 20 years & have never been treated as badly by any company as I was treated today by a Lowes employee!! I will never go into another Lowes store!! Go to Home Depot they are a great bunch of people!! Home Depot personal is a pleasure to work with!! GOOD BYE lowes!!

Lowes requires registration (unlike Home Depot) to get discount. I entered info on web site. they wanted more so gave them discharge papers. still not happy wanted more. Got email from lowes telling me of need to enter info. Peace in my mind..

For the past 20+ years I've shopped and have received installation services from various Lowes outlets and have found no real issues to complain about. The contractor installation crew(s) have been prompt and professional, completing the delivery and installs as contracted for. Same goes for Home Depot, plus their very good equipment rental service. What I interpret from many complaints is simply misunderstanding that contract delivery crew and/or installers are rarely Lowes employees (staff) but, contractors. They operate within the guidelines of their contract with Lowes and their company policies. No I'm not a contractor, a builder or a construction worker. Just 30 years working full-time in the real estate profession and experience with any trade involving a home. Have a great day and be a little more forgiving.

As I write this review I have been on hold at Lowes Customer Service for almost an hour...smh. I ordered 2 security doors to be installed. Lowes has my old address on file and I asked the salesperson to remove it so that there would be no mistakes. He told me he could not remove it but it would not be a problem because of the installation address noted on contract. I took time off from work just to have the installer go to the old address. Now I have to miss my entire work day and over $300.00 for this avoidable mistake. I will never by anything from Lowes that requires an installation.
