Lowes in Bedford, New Hampshire - Online order disaster

After placing an order on line on Tuesday of last week I never received a phone call to confirm delivery of the lawnmower and equipment. When I called the one 800 number Lowes had no record of my online order even though I had a confirmation and an order number. After over an hour on the phone they said that the order got hung up in processing it would need to be canceled and replaced. The next day I replaced the order, Once again I had to call the one 800 number to get my discount reapplied since the initial discount had been used on the previously canceled order. I was told I would receive a phone call within a couple of days to arrange for delivery. Four days later I still did not receive a phone call. Today I called the one 800 number again after being on the phone for over an hour they said that they were trying to arrange delivery for the products and that the stores do not have the proper inventory so they’re on able to deliver. After an hour goes by I was told that everything is all set and I should expect delivery tomorrow. I half-hour later I received a call from my local Lowes and the manager said they are not able to fill the order because they do not have the inventory. She suggested I cancel the order again and replace it at a different location. So I called the one 800 number for the fifth time and after being on hold for a half hour I was told that they would sort it out and call me back. I’m still waiting for a callback I will Order online at Lowe’s again. This is been the worst experience of my life trying to place an order that should be something simple and convenient.

Same experience. These people don't have two brain cells to rub together.The only difference is that my disaster scenario involved them charging my card 11 times for one order, maxing out my card, and causing my bank to call me incessantly while I'm at work to ask me if these charges are valid.Beyond that, the order was supposed to be delivered on Thursday...

then Friday...

now it's Saturday morning and they can't finalize the order because they maxed out my card yesterday and the card was stopped for fraud activity - these bastards had the audacity to ask me for another card and told me that my order wouldn't be delivered until Saturday evening. The brain trust at Lowe's must have not understood the previous 724 times I told them that I needed the order on Saturday morning to complete a customer's job.Typically, money is exchanged for goods and services; in this scenario, it was exchanged for broken promises, frustrations, idiocy, and 4 hours of my life spent dealing with insipid customer service that I'll never get back.Call it a broad generalization if you must, but every single person at Lowe's is 100%, pure, unadulterated, garbage.

Lowes - Just keep transferring me

What is it? "My Lowes", the credit card company (Stinkrany) or Customer Support? Opened up my account online. Recent purchases showed 2016 purchases. Just purchased several items in April and May 2018 and did not show up in recent purchases. Was transferred 3 times after which I hung up. Printed out statements but some were missing. I have no idea what my recent purchase might be but will save all receipts. How can a store the size of Lowes possibly in good conscientious, have such an awful website? Getting a 5% discount on purchases may not be worth it . Might they be worst than Verizon? Very close and right up there with Sears. (AKA Tears as that's what happens every time I talk with their Customer Support)

If I understand correctly, your complaint is with the credit card. If so, you'll have to complain to Synchrony Bank. Lowe's does not own the bank and neither can they control what the bank does.

Lowes - Trying to find out the details of an offer received by mail fiasco.!!

I received a card good for 10 % off , up to $ 5000 valid till May 31, 2018! I called my local store and talked to customer service who KNEW NOTHING..! I asked to speak to the appliances dept who was NOT SURE..! I called another store in my vicinity and demanded to speak to the manager on duty....she KNEW NOTHING..!! I started to chat with Vernon who told me about a 5 % discount now in place but, he too KNEW NOTHING about the 10 % and he told me to try on site (my store is in Farmington MO) the card I got says and I quote "10 % OFF ..LOWE'S (logo) your next purchase Limit one coupon per customer Valid through May 31, 2018 card number 470104168407444" end quote what is going on in your customer service dept..??

Stores are not told about coupons being mailed. There is no notification system for such things. Quite frankly, not sure what you're complaining about.

It's pretty simple actually. Lowe's contracted with a third party to do a promotion and they mailed you a discount card.

The people in the stores probably never knew about it because it is a nationwide direct mail offer.

The stores don't know about promotions unless they are told about them and they obviously weren't told about this one. Get a clue about how large companies do their marketing and maybe it will make sense to you.

What's so hard to understand. Hand it to the cashier the next time you go in and make a purchase. They will deduct 10% off the total bill for a maximum of $500 off a $5,000 purchase.

We purchased a Fridge from Lowe’s and were told delivery would be about 7 - 10 days. Out of the blue we got a call on a weeknight after 9pm that our Fridge was going to be delivered the next morning. Since we were not going to be home we called the store to reschedule. When we called to reschedule the store told us they did not even have the fridge yet and I was NOT going to be on the truck the next day. We tried to reschedule delivery but they had no idea when I would be in stock. After 3 weeks I called back and tried to schedule the delivery. However they could only specify delivery between 7am and 7pm! It is absolutely reticulous that they have a 12 hour delivery window. They told me they would give me a call the night before with a smaller window. I was told if I can not be home when they say they will be there just cancel the delivery and reschedule. SURE! That sounds like a horrible plan.

Fyi, employees are not allowed to give specific times for delivery. Judging by the times they called you, it was not the delivery manager making the calls.

In which case, it was an employee that was given a list and told to call each person on it (been there myself). This person had no idea what was going on. There is however, no excuse for what happened after that. If they didn't have it, you shouldn't have been on the list to call.

As a side note, it is policy for someone to be there at the house to accept delivery. Doesn't matter who that person is.

Lowes in Howell, New Jersey - Where's all your help

Stopped by lowes in Howell tonite on my way home for work, arrived around 9:40 pm. No one around to help, I went up front to the cashier, she paged Brian to the sprinkler head aisle, waited like an idiot for 10-15 minutes.........yup, you guessed it, no one ever came to help! It was almost closing time, and there was about 3 customers in the store. Saw employees walking around, but, no one there to help you!! I'll stick with Home Depot, always someone around to help!!! I could of hung out till closing ( another few minutes) to see if they wanted to go home they would had to help me but I was so disgusted I wouldn't waste another 5 minutes in that store! Bye Lowes.....hello Home Depot?

I will have to call bullpoop . as much as i don't like lowes the fact remains they do only use background approved people .

i know this because i work there and all my people have to have a badge to prove that .

2nd off the tile guy would not be hanging a glass door ( tile installer ) not door installer. And last off as of 2017 lowes did not offer tile installation in showers so i can't even understand who was working in your home but it wasn't a confirmed lowes installer !

I want an independent contractor, Tony Stewart, to step in and tear out the pitiful shower and re-build it at Lowes cost. This shower has cost me a fortune and it's not up to ADA code.

Lowes - J R Rogers

I paid Lowes to install the cabinets i purchased at their store only to have the subcontractor, did not know how to install cabinets. Unfortunately i didn't figure this out until he was done and i took a look at the final product. one top cabinet was 1 1/2 higher than the other, lower cabinet were not level, handle are crooked, and job site not cleaned when he left the job. Very nice young man, but did not have the experience needed for installing cabinets. Now going through the nightmare of working with lowes to correct the problems. i paid a good amount to have lowes install these cabinets, very sad.

Lowes - Expectations Not Met and Inexperienced Installation Services Staff

I have spent over 30k with Lowes and this 4th project (bathroom) renovation) was the last straw for me. First of all, the customer has to be their own project manager as they have a major issue with communication not only to the customer but to all those involved in the project. I had to keep them on track and constantly follow up with Lowes if I wanted to keep the project moving forward. It took 3 weeks to get the estimate from Lisa Ford. When I went in to review it on April 6th, I placed emphasis that the job has to be completed by May 12th as I have family coming down for a visit. I even requested that we should schedule the work now in expectation of the parts arriving on April 25th. She assured me that this is possible and that is the main reason I agreed to the contract. It has been my experience that once the material is delivered; the work begins within a day or two. I had to call your installation services twice to get an update because they never contacted me. During my last call with Kayla she stated that they would be arrive to inspect the parts on Friday May 4th at 4:30 and at that time, we can confirm the day. With that said, she stated that she understood my sense of urgency with regard to the job being completed by May 12th. Upon their arrival, is when I was told that there was no way that they could meet my date of May 12th. The excuse that the contractor stated was due to other projects that have had several delays. As you can imagine, I was pretty angry about the situation as I canceled a business trip for the week of May 7th in order to have this completed. Frankly I really don’t care about their delay issues as I was given an expectation and they should stand by it. I have a very busy schedule in May so the only available time I have is on May 29th. I called and spoke to your weekend manager on May 5th and he stated that he would look into it and (as usual) I have yet to be communicated with regarding my request. At this point, my wife and I have lost total confidence in their quality and ability to get the job done correctly the first time. We decided to cancel the installation potion of the project and keep the parts so we can seek a more reliable contractor.

The "Independent Contractors" are not Independent when working for Lowe's. The "Independent Contractors " brought suit against Lowe's for same benefits of in store employees.

These contractors were made to wear apparel with Lowe's logo and to represent themselves as working for Lowe's on any jobsite. These contact ARE indeed employees of Lowe's Home Improvement. This suit was won and they do have the same benefits and must follow the same rules as in store employees. If your situation is ever turned over to Lowe's Corporate for their insurance to cover any damages, it is then that it is proof that Lowe's IS responsible for any home improvements that have gone wrong.

I won't go into any details of a ruined window instulation although it was several years of trying to deal with a woman that decided she was my God and judge and jury. I will never have Lowe's install anything in my home nor would I ever recommend anyone else to do it. These "Contractors" that did an install of several thousand dollars in a complete window replacement, had never installed a window in their life. I had huge gaps between the sheetrock and Windows, broken brick from the sledgehammer they used to remove old windows and interior sheetrock completely missing and filled with caulk.

If this is acceptable for any homeowner, I suggest you have money to burn. If these situations are not acceptable to you, hire a local contractor that happens to be licensed within the state for further recourse. Lowe's leaves no options on recourse and it is their way or no way. I did not want the contractors back in my home so the store manager turned it over to their insurance.

If these contractors are independent, their own insurance would pay for any damages to your home and not Lowe's Insurance. Lowe's Home Improvement has become my home disaster and extreme stress. If they wanted to keep consumers of their products and installations, they would do anything to make us happy. Instead they want the money with little or no qualified employees to do the work.

In hindsight I wish I had hired an attorney to fight the corporate Lowe's. At least I would have known I put up a fight for my rights as a homeowner and so much less anxiety in talking to a woman who is a royal ***

I am having the same issue.. two months in and no communication.

the local store manager offering us additional discount on parts if we are willing to wait for backordered parts to come in. yikes i hope we have no further issues

After all the arguments with them I finally got my stuff but i actually had to call them numerous times and actually tell them i was going to channel 4 news than I received my bathroom vanity and other things within a half hour. But I shouldn't have had to go through all that aggravation.

You are looking at a self service home center. Do you really think they are going to test your soil?

They may sell a kit for you to test your own soil.

You should be looking for a local nursery or garden center if you want someone to test your soil. Self service stores just aren't trained or staffed to do such things.
