Lowes - THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!!

We are rehabbing a property in New Jersey and have tried to deal with Lowes to order our appliances. After 3 days of trying to get some help at the store we finally settled for what was abailable. That was a horrible experience but only the beginning of a series of screw ups by Lowes from calling us the day our stoves was to be delivered to tell us it was no longer available!!!!! Next, we were called to say our refrigerator was being delivered only to find that they were delivering it to our billing address in South Carolina NOT our home in New Jersey. When I called customer service, I was told that she did not have time to talk to me because she had a line of customers waiting!!!!!!!! Fuming!!! I explained that I am a customer and my merchandise has already been paid for! Days and day wasted on the phone trying to resolve these problems and NOW THE FINAL INSULT!!! WE ORDERED AND PAID FOR INSTOCK CARPET WHICH WAS IN EARLY MAY! As of today, carpet is STILL NOT IN. I have never experienced such a lack of customer service! I guess when you think your the only game in town customer service is not important! Your not the only game in town. I will never use Lowes again and, since I own a real estate company, I will be telling my customers about this nightmare experience and I'm sure they will not be using them either! I am Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I would strongly suggest anyone reading this NOT USE LOWES. Home Depot may not be perfect but I can guarantee that they could not possibly be worse than Lowes. Just read the reviews and they speak for themselves.

All of the previous posters are correct that Lowe's only accepts positive reviews and their review page means absolutely nothing. Here is my original review which does not violate any of their rules, has no profanity, and mentions no competitors, yet "something went wrong on their end" and it would not post. After reading previous experiences from others, I realize my one star review was not accepted for posting. You know what else is unacceptable? Censorship. "I purchased this washer on 5/9/18 and it was installed 5 days later on the 13th. (Pay no attention to those "Next Day Delivery!" signs plastered all over Lowe's appliance department. You will likely wait almost a week. I asked nicely about the signs posted and was told I should do a better job reading the fine print.) Installation day came and delivery guys inserted drain hose and left. My floor was flooded on the first load because drain hose didn't reach deep enough. Whirlpool drain hose extension kits were not available at Lowe's or the specialty appliance store in my town, so I ordered online and it was delivered the 16th. I had now been without a functioning washer for 8 days. We installed the drain hose extension kit ourselves and no more flooding. Success!! Wait...just kidding. The washer didn't spin or drain correctly and I was left with sopping wet towels and an indicator light that stopped at "Wash." After trying two more times and unplugging the unit to reset the computer, I called 888-77Lowes and the first available appointment was the 22nd....5 days later, which would make me unable to do laundry for a total of 2 weeks, even with a brand new washer sitting in my home for most of that time. The technician I was assigned told me over the phone that these models have notorious balance issues and washing heavy items like towels (5 towels and 3 washcloths in my case) was too much for it to handle and knocked it off balance which interrupted the cycle. I am now washing tiny loads to try and keep the washer doing a complete cycle. I have a gigantic mountain of laundry and I am hoping my tiny loads don't knock it out of balance and leave me with sopping wet laundry. By the way, this washer has an "Auto Sensor" feature they stamped on the front in name only. It means nothing. There are 2 water depth settings: "Auto Sensor" is 22 gallons no matter what, even if you wash one pair of underwear. "Deep Water Wash" is 26 gallons no matter what. I have no idea why Whirlpool would try to deceive the consumer by eluding to an Auto Sensing feature that simply doesn't exist. So if you are a person who likes to wash small loads, forget about it. You get 22 or 26 gallons on this unit. Another strange feature: The lid locks intermittently throughout the cycle. Sometimes it locks and then mid-cycle, it unlocks. The lid lock likes to keep me on my toes while I'm praying for my towels to finish their cycle. I love to spend 5 hours on a weekday trying to diagnose a myriad of problems on my BRAND NEW Whirlpool. I plan to return this unit as soon as possible."

Sounds like your complaint should be with Whirlpool, not Lowes.

They have people who's job it is to remove ALL negative reviews from as many internet sources as possible. They will remove them from their own website within 24 hours of them being posted OR will disallow them from being posted at all.

ALL MAJOR COMPANIES DO THIS! In fact there are companies they can hire that do this exclusively. That is why you really can't trust the reviews you read on the internet.

Unless you are reading a site such as this where such content is NOT removed by the company the review is about. Internet reviews are extremely untrustworthy sometimes, especially when it is that companies own website.

Lowes doesn't build houses. They do sell some of the materials need to build houses.

I have never seen them advertise that the sell complete homes.

How did you come up with the idea that they would build a house for you? Why don't you try going to a builder if you need a house built rather than to a supplier of building materials?

Lowes - Floor Installed

Well once again I am here to complain. Paid Lowes in Lawton Ok $10,000 for wood flooring. That was in September. Called and called got no response. Got on here and started getting phone calls and one visit. I was guaranteed that they would be here today to fix my floor. No show and no phone call telling us why. Once again called Lawton store and all they want to do is blame the installer. We bought at Lowes because of the name and that they would stand behind their products. Have bought all my appliances through them which is $$$$$$. Contacted attorney today guess we will let her deal with them. Bla-bla

The employ subcontractors. Now you know. Blaming the installer is technically accurate but ultimately the group who took your money is responsible for your satisfaction.

Never buy custom blinds from LOWES

This problem started back in January 2018 at which time we had purchased a new home and decided on custom window blinds. It took about 2 weeks for the "installation" department to send someone to measure the windows in the home. The window company that built the blinds PER LOWES MEASUREMENTS was Levolor ( who have done their very best to solve the problem). The time it took to make the blinds was excessive, but since they were custom we waited. It was about March 2018 when the blinds were finally delivered and installed. At the time of the install we informed the installer that the blinds were the wrong size - his answer was that he could only install what was sent. Shortly there after we decided we had had enough and called Lowes to come back and fix the problem (the problem was there is a bay window and only the 2 side blinds fit the window the center blind was mounted 6 inches forward of the window and did not flush mount like it was to have been measured for as agreed. Again Lowes "installation" department sent out yet another installer to fix the problem...his answer to the misfitting blind...."LOOKS OK TO ME". Our next call was to Jasmine Bradford, Customer Service Represenative Levolor Window Fashions. She and her team tried to find a resolution to the problem. But on 5/10/2018 I received a e-mail that read "Hi David I just want to apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have had my team lead also look at the pictures of the shades that were sent to see what we needed to do for you. Per my team lead, I have been instructed to advise you to go back to the store due to the installer needing to measure correctly so we can reorder the shades for you. When returning to the store I would take the pictures with you and ask to speak to their install team lead and let them know this is not how they should be installed especially with you ordering an inside mount and it look like they mounted them on the outside. which we all agree here is not correct and does not look good at all. If they need to call and ask for me I would gladly speak with them if needed to let them know what we see is wrong." I then made 3 phone calls to the install department none of which were answered. I also went to the store who was unwilling to assist except to "maybe remeasure" or to refund the money TO MY CREDIT CARD (which has been paid in full) Finally on May 15, 2018 at 4 pm I called Lowes Corporation customer service. At that time I was given an Incident number (1-24519430472) and was informed I would NOT have to deal with that store anymore and I would be contacted by a member of Lowes Corporate Management with in 24 hours to see how the problem could be solved. At 4:12 pm on May 16, 2018 I again call Lowes Corporate and was told the store would call me. I informed the young lady that is NOT what we were told 24 hours earlier. She then told me that the Market Director named "Thomas" would contact us in a few days. I informed me that they have till May 17, 2018 to call and she agreed to that. At this point we have 1 window cover that does not fit because it is to big, 1 that will not roll up or down. and NO answers at all to who the problem would be solved except to have the covering removed and us be given a "credit" on the paid off LOWES card. I would recomend that anyone considering doing business with LOWES in Pinellas Park Florida stay as far away as you can.

I was misled by Lowes associates that I earned a rebate on Olympic Maximum solid Stain by purchasing one at full price and the second at 50% off. The hanging sign advertising 50% off of second one is what drew our attention in the first place. We compared the sign with our purchase to make sure it was the correct item. I questioned the check-out associate about a rebate receipt and was told to fill out the form online using my reciept . Even after checking with customer service I was not told my rebate had expired 2 days earlier. I am very upset after spending $341 that I was misled, because the main factor in purchasing the Olympic Brand was the rebate. From now on I will go across the street to their competition.

Update: We returned to Lowes.After explaining what took place they refunded our purchase price. After reading so many reviews from disappointed users of Olympic brand products, I will purchase another brand.

My hot water heater started to leak out the bottom. Pan under heater was collecting the water which was dripping into a bucket. Installer showed up. It was evident he was in a hurry. He spoke a few words of English. Soon after, something he did caused water to gush out of tank causing it to run down wall (heater sits on a perch) and all over garage floor. He soldered adjoining pipes together crooked and left his mess. The paint has since peeled off the wall as well. Lowes came out last week to assess, after I placed a complaint. I recieved a call from them today stating the installer said there was water all over garage when he arrived. A complete lie !!! Lowes rep stated its a he said, she said at this point. WHAT ?!?! I will NEVER do business with Lowes again !!

Horrible customer service .really sorry lowes cant pay there employee enought to check into what is causing the customer to keep complaining with no resulitions.Corporate doesnt answer emails..and on passing the call to others that know less.then try to pass it off on LG. We bought washer and dryer and cant get any answers as to why we cant have both white .instead we have a off white grey washer and bright white dryer..why? Delivered two set and still same thing. Paid good money i work hard for to have to have these products not match or satisfy me as a consumer.

I ordered 2 packs of 200 t-post online. When I called to see if the store had them ready for pickup I was told they would NOT honor the online sell as there was a mistake on the listing. I was told to call the 800 number. I called the 800 number and after more than an hour of speaking an employee and her supervisor I was told that Lowes Marketing was notified and that there was a error in the listing online but my order would be honored at the store I ordered to pick up from and a note place on the order. I then called the store back and the Assistant Manager verified the note and said even with the note from Lowes saying my order was to be honored and filled that they WOULD NOT honor it. I was told my order was being canceled and if I had any further complaints to call Lowes. I explained I did what they told me and even Lowes customer service stated there was an error but my order that was placed was to be honored. Why is a customer being treated like this? I have the order number and names of people I spoke with.
