Repair of dishwasher

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have waited since 12/26/2020 to get my dishwasher repaired. They ordered parts. I have the parts, they are here. The service date has been changed three times. I feel that I am not getting the help or service form Lowes and the service company.

Unhappy with deck project

I do not recommend going through Lowes for any outdoor build. Heres my story and now Im reading plenty more just like it. Back in June 2020, I signed up for a quote for a new deck. Things started off so smoothly! The Lowes rep came by, looked it over, and then he came out with the construction company foreman to look it over. This was all done very quickly. Then they wrote up a contract and I had to pay all the money up front ($15,000). Once you sign your contract, you have 3 days after you sign to get out of the contract. The Lowes rep told me that the deck install would happen by August. I thought this was the easiest process and just figured everything would continue moving that quickly. Even got confirmation that supplies were in and at Lowes warehouse. This is when they forget about you. No one from Lowes will ever check up. That sales rep that first came out...that person has moved on. They got their money. They are not your liaison in this process at all. The person with the construction company has basically told me they will start the project next week. This has been said every week since August. Its now mid December and I have Lowes supplies just sitting in my driveway and still being told that mine will start next week. You wont get a call either saying if it will happen, so dont cancel anything going on to be there the first day. That day will come, and you will have to call and ask if they are still planning on coming out today and you will be told that they will be there next week. For instance, last week, they were supposed to start on Wednesday. Wednesday came around and once again, a no show. I called and told they would start next Thursday (which is today). This morning came around and still a no show. I called and now Im told they will start next week. See the cycle here! This has happened since August! We will see if next week comes. Since Ive been pushed back for so many weeks, I feel more confident each time that they will show because Im next in line. But this doesnt seem to be the case. My project keeps getting bumped out of the way. I was told 2 tiny little deck projects got bumped in front of mine because Lowes was missing 2 boxes of railings, but Lowes driver said all they had to do was pick up from another store because those are always in stock. Those 2 tiny little project started a month ago. When I called today to check in on what time they were showing up, she said they are still busy doing a project for the city, so I figured I bumped back again. Im wondering if all Lowes projects get bumped and the construction company will move its direct customers ahead of the line because the money for Lowes project has been paid for. I am listing my house for sell in January and they are aware. As things are moving now, I cant even do that until the deck is complete. I went to Lowes because I thought it would be reputable. And how quick they got things going definitely reassured me. I cant tell you how the actual project was....yet anyway. Im sure the company will do good work when my time comes. The construction company obviously stays busy and thats good. But Lowes should have more than one company that they use to help keep things moving. Im assuming customers in the area that have put in for an outdoor build after June is still waiting as well. I would not advise going through Lowes for a project. They will get your money, never follow up, and you will wait forever

Did the contract say you had 3 days to cancel ? 3 day cancel does not apply if you call for the salesman to come out.

So in this case that doesn't apply.

If they came out with out you inviting to come out it may apply. Did the contract say a certain time for the project to be completed you are bound by that.

Yes, the last page of the contract says I have 3 days from the date signed to get out of project. That was dated 7/23/20.

The projected build date was written as 8/23/20 with an estimated completion date of 10/23/20. Because completion date is an estimate, I’m not so sure that would get me out. I tried canceling on 10/25/20, and it sounded like No one knew what to do. Lots of they needed to talk to their manager.

Plus, I was told project was going to start next week. I figured I should stay since they came this far and we were so close to getting it done. That was the end of October. They even scheduled the Lowes delivery guy to drop off on 10/31/20, but something told me to not except the offer till things sounded more solid.

Well, things started to sound more solid and the person I was working with scheduled the delivery the beginning of last week because they were going to start the end of last week which then got pushed to today, and has now been pushed to next week. I’m really at a loss because I have waited so long and feel we are almost there, but I have had this feeling since October.

Lowes wouldn't honor the warrenty they sell with there 24 volt Kolbalt drill

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a 24 volt kolbalt impact drill. I bought the impact drill, charger and blue bag with one battery. 2 1/2 months after I bought it, it stopped working. I took it back with receipt, and it took 4 trips to a Lowes 35 miles away over a period of 2 weeks to get them to exchange it. I am a HVAC technician and stay busy. 1 month after they exchanged the impact it stopped working again. I took it back and the ladies that work at the desk where you return items were very nice and done everything to exchange it. They had done everything for the return and even had me go and get a new one that was like the one that I had purchased that stopped working 1 month after they exchanged the other one that stopped working after 2 1/2 months. When I returned to the desk they had to call someone that was above them, and they said to not honor the warranty. I didn't hear their exact words but the ladies that worked the return counter told me that they were sorry they couldn't give me a new drill. It isn't worth my time to run back and forth to Lowes to try and get them to honor a warranty that they sold me with the drill. The impact driver cost me somewhere between $120 and 150 dollars. Every hour I'm there I lose more money than the drill was worth. I even called Kolbalt, and they told me to take it back to Lowe's and give them a number they provided me, and they would return it. They still wouldn't return it. The drill comes with a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer, and they started making it about 5 years ago. They still wouldn't return it. I should have stayed with the drills that I have always purchased from Home Depot. Makita has always worked great for me and Home Depot has always honored everything they have sold me. Lowes lost a customer over this. My employees and I will never purchase another thing from Lowes. We will either use ho.e depot. True Value or somewhere else that we can find. I will do without before I purchase anything from them again.

Terrible Customer Service and Fraud

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered curbside pickup and a wrong item was included. After contacting management they retrieve the errant item and supplied the correct item. However, a second charge for the correct item was placed on my card. I now have paid twice for this item. Contacted Lowe's and called and sent a letter to Synchrony Bank. It has been 3 months, and they have yet to respond. The card had auto withdrawal from checking, and they pulled the funds already. They have my money and will not respond. Even a letter to Lowe's CEO has been ignored. Not one response of any kind.

they are horrible at customer service. My lowes card was charged $885 9/18/20 for 2 appliances that were never delivered after they failed to show 4 times, I made 6 calls to store - put on hold, hung up on, disrespected, then 5-6 calls to corp & promises to "escalate" for 24/48 hour response - all failed, but am told to CALM down when I complain LOL ...

not ONE response received 4 mo later. filed dispute with Synchrony and they lie too, don't send dispute letter as promised, said 30 then 60 days now it's past that & they need more time. Lowes sent them a receipt but no delivery proof.

It sounds like if yours was a bank card - file a charge back with your credit / debit card. Good luck & shop Home Depot & don't finance anything with SYNCHRONY.

Would not raise my credit.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Lowes - Would not raise my credit.
I have a credit score of over 725, and they only gave me $1000 credit. Had a card and only raised to $5000 over a span of 10 years. Always paid in full and on time. Got mad and canceled it. Two months later I applied for a new one, and they started me back over at $1000. I told them about my canceled card from two months ago that had $5000 credit. They still turned me down for increase saying insufficient experience at your current credit limit. I guess 10 years and $5000 limit two months ago isnt enough experience? Been a contractor with good credit for over 20 years. I have hundreds of thousands of dollars of credit at all my suppliers. Synchrony Bank and Lowes are a total joke. I cant wait to get a Home Depot closer yo where I am located!

Why are you claiming a $4000 loss? A loss is paying for something and not receiving it! That is not the case here!

Self employed. My ratio of work to material is at least 50%.

Most of the time 60/70% work to 30 or 40% material. If I lose $4000 of buying power, I lose $4000 of material, and subsequently lose at least $4000 of work. Therefore the $4000 loss.

It is really higher than that, but I used the minimum ratio. Sole Proprietors should understand if you don’t...

Perhaps your problem is having hundreds of thousands of credit hanging out there. Does your income support all that credit in a time companies are being cautious due to the economy?

Guest

My income supports it. One of the main reasons I am in shock that they only give me $1000 credit.

I received $1000 credit card in 1987 when I was in college and didn’t even have a job.

Synchrony bank is doing Lowe’s more bad than good. Lowe’s manager is contacting corporate about it to complain because he knows how much business he is losing.

Lowes Rebate Scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a John Deere mower with a 250 dollar rebate, from Lowes. I sent the rebate certificate (given to me at the register at purchase) and receipt CLEARLY reflecting the mower purchased, along with the form, well within the timeframe required initially. At expiration of the 8 weeks they said to allow, I called and within two days from the call, I had a denial for "receipt does not reflect a qualifying purchase", along with directive to resubmit by November 5th. Online would not allow resubmission because "there was an existing transaction number" , so I mailed certified with tracking , on November 4th. In the packet I mailed, I included copies of all emails from them, receipt and certificate copy, their form again as directed, and print screens from online attempts to resubmit. On the very first page, I added a synopsis along with itemized exhibits. Today, I receive an email stating it was denied yet again, because the packet "was not post marked by the required date". This is a scam, from top to bottom. Absolutely worthless, I will be purchasing everything from home depot from this point forward, having been a lifelong Lowes customer.

Extremely Disappointed

On yesterday April 10, 2021 at approximately 230p we were attempting to check out at the register. Now mind you Lowes has always been top of my shopping list for all of my home improvement endeavors, but yesterday was the most disappointing day with me for Lowes shopping.

There were only (2) lanes open in the entire store, one outside and the other inside with lines even longer than what you might experience in TJ Maxx. My husband and I did something we never do, but we left our basket right where we stood. Id heard that Lowes was cutting people and hours, but this is totally unacceptable.

I guess well need to turn to Home Depot - I really hate that, but customer service means a lot to us. This store is located off Seigen Lane in Baton Rouge, La.

So Lowes please get it together!!!

Dis agree on carpet installation pricing and being a loyal customer feel cheated and taken avantage of

My wife bought carpet and they insisted on measuring. They ended up with almost as much carpet left and asked us if we wanted it or not. When she asked why so much left over, she was told by her sales rep that is their policy is they do not like seems. My complaint is, something like that should have been disclosed before the installation as the carpet was being sold per Sq. Ft.with no mention of it being a seamless installation.

Did you use a debit or credit card as most people do? You could contact your bank or credit card company for date of purchase. Lowes should be able to locate your transaction with that information.

Carpeting nightmare

Ordered carpet June 29th for 2 rooms. Didn't arrive until October. Lowes knew that carpet was backordered but failed to tell us during the many times we called them about this. When they were ready to install they had the wrong room layout so could only do one room. Returned 1 month layer to install 2nd room. Installers damaged on large piece of furniture and left scrapes and gouges on our new oak wood trim. After many phone calls and emails someone finally came to see damage. His determination was that we should not be compensated for the damage because it wasn't that visible to him. He admitted his installers caused damage but it's ok since it didn't jump out at him. We are not finished with this but I'm urging everyone to avoid Lowes for major purchases. Their customer service is extremely difficult to work with.
