Lowes in Silverthorne, Colorado - They closed my account for non use

This is an inconvenience and dings my credit report. Nobody contacted me first, they just closed it. The person in costumer service said it could not be reopened, and even suggested it was because of my credit rating. Not true at all..

The Lowe's credit card is through Synchrony Bank. Accounts are automatically closed after a period of inactivity. This is the bank's policy not Lowe's.

Why are you complain about Lowes? You never had an account with them that they could close.

You had an account with an independent credit company that issued a card with Lowes name on it that could be used at Lowes.

Lowes has no control over your account. Your complaint should be with the credit company.

You are wrong. When I called the number in the notification letter, Lowes answered the phone. Also, Lowes selected the credit company.

Lowes in Roeland Park, Kansas - Poor Service

Wanted to get a sheet of plywood cut. Asked an employee to help and he said they no longer cut plywood to size, only in half to fit it into car. He said that the policy had been in place for some time. But just last week had three pieces cut to size. I left the store and went to my truck and called the manager of the lumber department. He said that wasn't the policy and that they do cut plywood to size. I went back in and found the same guy. I told him his manager said they do and he again said they don't. Got pissed and left. This guy was too lazy to do anything and thought he could do as he pleased. I already don't like Lowe's due to the fact it is impossible to get anyone to help you or answer questions. I am done with the crap Lowes calls customer service and think I'll just drive the extra three miles to Home Depot. They seem to give a damn about their customers unlike Lowes. I will never spend another cent at this lousy store.

That's the problem that happens when you have people that follow the policy and those that don't. I worked for another company and we quit re-keying locks that people brought in from home.

The policy changed to only keying locks that we were selling off the shelf. Took a while for everyone to get on the same page, you had a few people that would key locks that people brought in and then they would get mad when someone following the policy told them we wouldn't key their lock.

Lowes - Poor customer service

Went to buy a bathroom toilet no available help in plumbing dept. Associate called for help no one came finally cabinet guy put one on cart for me but i wanted some advice on product but none was forthcoming. Then took over 10 minutes to find help to load it into my car. Wont be back any time soon

Lowes - Poorly made laundry room sink for $229.00

Purchased a laundry room sink for a property. Installed and in less than a month, the cold side faucet broke off. The cartridge broke (plastic part) and Lowes advised to call the manufacturer in Canada. Called, gave them the proper information and it took a week to get the replacement part which came in with no instructions. Fortunately, I am a DIYer and after some investigation, figured out how to install and tighten with an allen wrench (not everyone will have the correct size). The "fix" does not make me feel happy with only a one year warranty. This is a POS and I would not give anyone a recommendation to buy one of these. I will try to get Lowes to take it back and come install a proper one !!! Very disappointing purchase and I am a 29 year Lowes consumer..

Totally Dissatisfied with Lowes on all fronts

Will never shop there. I am a general contractor. Every employee Contracter etc that I do business with cannot bring any supplies from Lowes to the job. They know I want do business with them if any materials come from Lowes. Lowes employees are extremely unprofessional there customer service is worse. I have had to call the the home office on a number of occasions and they are a joke. You never get anywhere with them. I have taken all my money and my business else where and I’m extremely happy now. Even there competition Home Depot is better. I don’t know what I was thinking giving all my hard earned money to a company that is prejudice, not carrying and unprofessional. I am even saving money. I use to spend wasted time and energy making complaints to a non carrying company.

I hope people avoid using you as a general contractor. If they are suppling the materials they should be able to purchase them wherever they want. As long as the materials are at the job site and you are not picking them up it shouldn't make any difference to you where they came from.

Lowes - Horrible in-store pickup experience.

I get the email saying my order is ready fro pickup. I get to the store and wait at the unmanned pickup counter for 10 minutes until an associate at the CS counter asks me to come around so they can help me. It then takes over 5 minutes to get my paperwork printed and the whole time the associates are talking like they have no idea what they are doing. They then send me to the lumber station to pickup my order. The guy there takes my paperwork and disappears for 10 minutes only to return without my paperwork and tells me to go to CS station for my order. I get there wait another 5 minutes for new paperwork only to be sent back to the lumber station because they now "found" my order. I get to lumber and there is a cart with my stuff on it to push to the truck. The whole deal took almost 30 minutes and I brought my 4 year old son with because I thought it was gong to be easy, like it was at Home depot.

Lowes in South Bend, Indiana - Won't shop at Lowe's again

4/14/2018 - Lowes has been our go-to place for remodels and repairs for over 30 years. Saturday we spent over an hour shopping for materials for our bathroom remodel. When we finally found someone to wait on us, we felt that we were a bother to him and that he was not interested in helping us. He was not able to answer simple questions about in stock items and ordering, and didn't make an attempt to check the computer. He eventually whipped out some 3x5 cards that he had in his pocket and seemed to look through them searching for something. When we finally told him we would go elsewhere he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. After asking an employee at the front of the store to call a manager, we waited over 20 minutes without success. Menards was pretty happy to help us with our bathroom remodel and even happier when we spent a ton of money. I will continue to attempt to talk to someone in a management position at Lowe's but not holding my breath.

That's big box retail anymore and that includes Menards and Home Depot as well. You probably found someone that works in another department that really didn't know much about bathroom fixtures.

The on e person working i the plumbing area was probably on break or lunch. You have a manager covering a huge store and if they are talking to someone on one end of the store they sure aren't going to be running to the other end of the store because they got a page.

All three of these stores are competing on price and the only real way to cut costs anymore is to reduce the number of people working in the stores. Until people are willing to pay higher prices to cover more employees the situation is only going to get worse as if you don't need a salesperson you can buy it for less on the internet.

If they didn't care the day you were there they surely won't care now, ex post facto. If you found another place you liked, stay with that.

Lowes - Unhappy Camper

I ordered some things online to be picked up at the store closest to me. The online site clearly stated the items were available at that location. When I went to pick up the items, I was told that the items were at a store more than 20 miles away. What an assumption for the company to make that I'd be able to get to that other store I had already had to go to another company to get part of what I needed for my project because Lowes wasn't accommodating enough to help me cut the PVC I required into the lengths I needed. This was the last straw for me and I will be giving my business to the other companies in my area be they big box or the small independent hardware stores.

While cutting PVC pipe doesn't require specialized tools, it does require changing the blade on their saws from a rather coarse wood cutting blade to a finger tooth one. If not done correctly, a spinning circular saw blade coming loose and flying at your face is something that NOBODY wants to see.

So, for safety reasons, they don't allow regular employees to even operate the saws without specific training.

As for changing blades, it's a matter of risk/safety.PVC, CPVC and ABS can be cut with a regular hacksaw or jigsaw. A fine-tooth metal cutting blade is what I prefer to use, it makes a cleaner cut.

They don't cut PVC for the obvious reason. If you can't manage to do something as simple as cut the PVC yourself how the *** are able to manage to do anything else with the PVC?
