As a Lowe's employee, we agree. Don't buy online. Our software for online fulfillment is garbage and we really don't have any way to make it better for you.

FYI this is the same LOWES I bought a dishwasher from and paid for haul away but wife said she was told by delivery men that they do not do haul ways....Took almost 2months to get resolved. Totally Pathetic!

Original review posted by user Feb 13, 2018

Bought gas cooktop and got a call for delivery for Sunday...ok fine. First got a follow up message 2-4pm , then 4-6pm.(No show) Then I got a call on Monday morning to schedule for Tuesday. Told them I need the delivery today(Monday)....dude said he will call back once he organizes it. No call. Then I call customer service in the afternoon to find out what is going on and explained what had happened...Finally lady told me to call XPO delivery...am like, what is my business with XPO. U need to fix it not my job. She says ok she will get back to me asap. Ok now its Tuesday Afternoon, no delivery, no call no cooker! They must be employing the daftest people this side of the planet!

Why not just go to the store put it in your car and take it home? A cook top will easily fit in your back seat or trunk and they are light enough for one person to carry. Why bother with delivery?

@Anonymous

Well, firstly i always prefer that option but unfortunately they did not have one within 2hrs of my location.2nd, i was out of town when order was made to be back home in 2 days so i planned it to coincide with my return + 1day. I finally had to go pick same cook-top 1hr away at a Best Buy.2nd, they already messed up a previous haul away, so i guess i should have known their system was ***

Lowes in Lansdale, Pennsylvania - Animals

What is the store policy on bringing dogs into the store? Everytime we are in there someone has their pet dog along. This is not Petco!!! Leave them at home!

You know the funny part about the OP’s whine fest? Every time I see an pet in a store I see people flock to it to give it a petting.

Animals by their very presence can have an uplifting effect on people’s moods and change a *** attitude around. We can see you didn’t pet the animal by your attitude. Lowe’s isn’t a grocery store so the ONLY issue is your pisspoor complaint. Get over yourself buddy!!

It’s better to have them bring the animal inside then leave it to get stolen of killed by overheating. What is also obvious is you don’t like animals. YOU think they are lesser creatures and YOU think you are better then them. Typical of the American thought process.

Was a employee petting the animal instead of assisting YOU? I have had many animals in my store(electronics) and as stated by another person, I would rather have a giant dog in my store then peoples children. You have to watch a animal closely. I wish parents would watch their kids as well as the people watch their animals.

If a dog urinated on my floor it wasn’t as big of a deal as say some parent letting their three hellions run around breaking items. The pet owner would apologize, we have a good laugh, pet owner cleans up the mess. Do you think the parents of those children have EVER paid for what their children have broken or stolen? No, the parents blame the business because their children are running rampant around the store.

As if the parents will listen even 25% of what the pet owner does. Lighten up jerk, it’s a animal and not a bazooka. Just stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Intolerance even over a simple pet is way too much. Save that anger until you really need it and stop bashing people who are MORE responsible then 80% of the parents out there. The pet owners are more responsible then you for one simple fact. They didn’t come on a site and bash a company for trying to cater to everyone.

Are you going to tell us next which colored people are allowed to enter the store while YOU are there next?

Perhaps you will swing your giant club of ignorance at women in hardware stores as well. Fascist.

Lowe's is and will always be pet friendly.

IF YOU choose to read, there is by law a posted sign on both front entry and exit doors that indicate, that this is a Animal positive retail store.

Pets are to be leashed, and well behaved.

Pets, dont steal.

Pets, dont damage product.

Pets, dont yell at hourly associates. These are things that people do.

I'd rather see a well behaved pet in a store than an ill behaved child. I haven't seen a pet in a store that wasn't under control of it's owner.

On the other hand I've seen plenty of children running around stores screaming and playing around while their parents ignore them. Should stores ban children as well?

Lowes in Sandusky, Ohio - Truck broke down excuse again!

4.2
Details
Seems like every time we have a Lowe’s delivery they call and tell us their truck broke down! And to add insult on injury we have already waited the entire day! So the driver tells us we need to call the store right away and reschedule a new delivery date. So we call, and after the store clerk asks our name 4 times in the same conversation, she finally says she can’t reschedule our delivery until the truck comes back in! That makes no sense whatsoever! I’m so tired of dealing with this crap!! This same crap happened with my original whole household appliance order in 2001 and then again with my fence order a few years later. If their prices didn’t beat the competition I would not buy appliances from them ever again! Maybe it’s time to get new trucks or come up with a different excuse! So fed up with this crap!!

Lowes in Albany, Georgia - Lowe's demodel

1.0
Details
I am sending this to inform you of my total dissatisfaction and disappointment with the home renovations that were undertaken and are currently still being managed by the Albany, GA store (0491). While the initial meeting and planning with the store’s Project Specialist, Mr. Donald Whiteman went well; the overall management of this project has been unacceptable to say the least. My wife and I initially met with Donald back in April 2017. We had decided to do a complete makeover to our property and so met to discuss the feasibility of Lowe’s doing the work. We outlined the extent of the remodel project and Donald assured us that this was something the Albany Lowe’s was capable of doing. We also let Donald know that it was our intention to live on our enclosed back porch while the remodeling was underway. The project was extensive and included; the removal of a load bearing wall, removal of the popcorn ceiling throughout the house, moving the kitchen into the existing dining room, replacement of all the kitchen cabinets and counter tops, upgrade of the master bath, hardwood flooring installation throughout the house and other general renovations. We went over the kind and type of flooring, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, tiles, back splash, lighting and the general color scheme and the other details of the project. At one point my wife asked if Donald was going to write any of this down and he stated the he had it all in his head. Donald also explained to us that he and the chief contractor, Coy Porter would develop a project plan which would be provided to us in a project binder along with the rest of the details of the project for reference. We asked Donald for a quote. We were told the two checks were required due to the Albany stores inability to process one check for the total value. We were told that Lowe’s wasn’t willing to accept the liability for the replacement of the load bearing wall, so on 5/11/17, we cut a check to Kellerman Construction. This is when the project management began to abate. When we hadn’t heard anything after our checks had cleared, I contacted Donald on 5/18/17 for a status report. He informed us that it looked like things were already starting to come in and he would be meeting with Coy Porter the next day to come up with a start date and a project plan. Hearing nothing back, I contacted Donald a week later. He then informed us that he and Coy determined that 6/12/17 would be the start date. With demo beginning, my wife and I decided to spend some time with our grandkids. While away we were informed that our new cabinets would be delivered between 6/23/17 and 6/29/17. We confirmed this with Donald and said they would be delivered to the Albany store. Returning home on 6/18/17, we found our home partially demo’ed and work was being done to remove the popcorn ceilings. On 6/23/17 all work stopped. Wonder what was going on, I sent emails to both Donald and Coy On 6/28/17 requesting a status and a copy of the project plan that was promised us. Coy informed me that, “Jeremy and I do have a plan and a schedule we just don't have it wrote down we just knowing our heads and in our minds how everything should be going right now…” Coy eventually provided us with a notional plan on 7/5/17. The plan indicated a completion date of 9/1/17 Work continued and on 7/11/17, we went to visit our other grandkids, returning a week later only to find that very little had been accomplished inside the house other than some work by the plumber. This is when we discovered a leak under our guest bath sink which damaged the cabinet and the wood floor molding. Additionally, our irrigation system no longer worked and there were several holes dug in the yard as the plumber tried to identify how water got into the house. We also discovered that two of our new retractable hoses had been destroyed. On a good note, a brick mason (Scotty Engram) was on site and he did a superb job of removing and replacing the brick around our new windows. All of this was passed on to Jeremy Davis, the contractor foreman. The leak was rectified. At this point contractors on site were fairly scarce. My wife and I had to continuously contact Donald, Coy, or Jeremy to get someone to work on this project. We were never certain who at the Albany store was actually in charge. We repeatedly asked about the status of the wood flooring to ensure it was in the house long enough to acclimatize. The flooring installation could not be completed because not enough wood was ordered. We asked about the status of the cabinets. At one point Donald could not find them in the warehouse. The Albany Lowe’s was unable to deliver the cabinets to our house, so one of contractors picked them up in his personnel truck. Once here, they arrived with the wrong handles. When the new handles came in, there weren’t enough. Our old toilet was in the house for twelve weeks and we expected it to be reinstalled, then someone accidentally threw it away. We now have one of those new efficient toilets that require two flushes to get anything done. There was at least four weeks of accumulative time where there simply was no one working in our house. We contacted the corporate offices on two occasions for some assistance, only to be told that the Albany store manager would get back to us. We have never heard from him. Donald did contact us to let us know “He was working on it.” Today our countertops were to be installed. They were the wrong color. There will now be at least another two week delay. It also appears that our hardwood flooring is buckling. After redoing the floors, they began to buckle a second time. This has and continues to be a dreadful project. We are convinced that if we hadn’t been here to facilitate this project, we wouldn’t have this much work completed. We are now 24 weeks into a ten week project. It is my opinion that this project far exceeded the capability of the Albany Lowe’s and should never have been taken on, nor should they take on any other projects until they are better equipped at managing them. I certainly had expected something more from the from a company that vows to “ …provide customer-valued solutions with the best prices, products and services to make Lowe's the first choice for home improvement”.

Same happened to me , I went to store and the store mgr gave me my rebate. They of course said “I will make an exception this time”. She should have said , It’s the right thing to do.

#1448238

I also purchased two appliances during the Black Friday event and promptly submitted my rebate request. I received a letter dated 12/26/2017 stating my sales receipt did not indicate the purchase of at least two qualifying appliances.

How can that be when I submitted the receipt from Lowes clearly showing ITEMS QUALIFIED FOR REBATE and two appliances listed. I also included the actual purchase receipt. I copied the receipts and returned as instructed in the letter.

10 weeks later and nothing.Home Depot has pissed me off and now Lowes. Guess I'll be shopping at Menards.

From now on, always keep a copy of your submissions and follow up with whoever is running the rebate. Submit online too if possible.

Lowe's may not have even been running this particular rebate.

They may have hired another company to run it or it could be a completely separate deal. My last appliance rebate I had to follow up with the provider and they could see that I had submitted things correctly but the system hadn't paid me so they sent a refund.

A very bad experience in Clinton,NC Lowes store today

3.8
Details
I am very upset. I purchased a hot water heater over the phone and sent a man to pick it up. He was not given a receipt. Then I called about 6 times to try and get it installed. Spoke with Paula Smith that told me to come in and sign a contract. I drove 31 miles to sign the contract and when I got there, a man name Gary told me that I could not sign a contract because I had to pay another 58.00 dollars for a man to come out and detail the area and then another 229.00 dollars plus parts and labor. I am so disappointed with this type of service with Lowes. I have been a satisfied customer for a long time but this makes me think another way.
