Lowes - Customer service terrible, delivery unreliable

On 1/15 I have ordered a bath cabinet that was special order - 7 business days delivery. 2 days later received an e-mail that it will arrive 1/29. Several days later I get another e-mail saying it is delayed and it will now ship on 1/29. Meanwhile on 1/29 order shows as delivered in Lowes website. After a call to customer service, 20 min wait, useless rep I find out that the order will be shipped today and will take at least 7 business days to arrive. I could've bought in several places for the same price but I chose Lowes :-)

If it was the same cabinet being ordered from the same manufacturer you would have probably had delays as well. Stores sell products with an expected lead time supplied by their suppliers.

Once the supplier gets the order they either schedule it for shipping or if it is out of stock they will often let the store know there will be a delay. This is why you get notices that your product will be delayed.

I expect it showing being delivered on the 29th was an entry error in their system. If you need a product right away, shop for products that are in stock at the store, otherwise you need to realize the store can not guarantee when a supplier will deliver a product.

So what is the big hurry ?

How long have you had the old setup ?

Does a few more days one way or the other really affect your vast future ?

That said , I don't like Lowe's for my own reasons.

Lowes in North Little Rock, Arkansas - Lowe’s appliance extended protection plan and customer service is terrible

Purchased Maytag washer and dryer from Lowe’s August 2015. Washer stopped working. Called Lowe’s they setup an appointment for Friday of that week. We call service company to narrow down time. They don’t come to our area on Friday only Tuesday and some Thursdays. We have taken off work two afternoons and still have no working washing machine. Service company is difficult to work with. Technician won’t return calls. When you do get through they tell you parts are not in but Lowe’s tells you they are. Magically the tech can install parts the next day. We called the company who supplies parts they told us the service company has parts. Technician installed parts, told us that the parts would not to fix the issue and the washer needs to be replaced. Lowe’s says the technician said the washer can be repaired. Everything inside the washer has been replaced except transmission and tub. Technician has requested tub no transmission. Almost a month without washing machine and we are still scheduling time off work. How much time Lowe’s allow employees to take off to deal with repeated technician visits for something the tech can’t fix? According to the technician $900+ in parts have already been installed. We didnt pay $900 for the washer. Makes no sense why they are putting so much into this machine. Lowe’s doesn’t understand customer service. They do NOT take care of their customers. Forcing someone to take off work multiple days is ridiculous. We will tell everyone we know not to purchase appliances from Lowe’s.

Lowes in Honolulu, Hawaii - Delivery Service Unacceptable

We currently have a project under rehab. We ordered materials needed ahead of time to be delivered to job site. Original day of delivery was 1/24. Around 2pm, I called the store and ask about our delivery time just to find out It wasn’t on schedule to be delivered and claimed the soonest they can deliver was Friday, 1/26. Friday came, they only delivered half of our materials (wasn’t told about it). Saturday, 1/27 we went to customer service and ask them what happened to other half of our order. we were told the delivery coordinator was gone for the day and given advice call instead. Monday, 1/29, today I called them, delivery date wasn’t set yet and the soonest they can deliver now is Thursday. 1 week delay on our project in which we have to pay Hard money loan for $126 a day.

Lowes - The worst

We are first home owners and bought berber carpet for our living room.When the carpet guys left the carpet looked great. However, I didn't notice there was a 10 inch tear at the bottom of our stairway until a month later. We called Lowes to let them know it needed to be replaced- as there is a one year warranty and got a complete run around. 2 months later, and we are still waiting for our carpet to be replaced. Do not get your carpet installed by Lowes. Customer service is awful.

Never buy GE Dishwasher or use Lowes

I have been 5 weeks 4 scheduled appointments with no shows and two repairs and still no resolve. Warranty Service deemed it nonrepairable but GE required a second opinion, Dave's appliance came and they also deemed it nonrepairable. Now GE requires a third opinion. I have already missed 6 days of work for these repairman. I went to the store manager at Lowes and they said its still under GE Factory Warranty nothing he can do, GE says I purchased it at Lowes, its their problem. So I know have a $750 dishwasher that sprays water out of the left side all over my cabinets and manufactured hardwood flooring and no one will help me. I have spent hours upon on hours making phone calls only to be given different stories......to date not one person has ever called me back.

Lowes - Door installation

purchased a door on December 6th - yes they took our money that day - door was supposed to be installed December 28th. Nobody shows up to install, they call New Year's day to ask how the install went. Well obviously not to good since what we're looking at is the same old door. They try to "get their act together," and schedule an install date, they show up and guess what - they ordered the wrong size door. Now they say it will be FEBRUARY before the door comes in - our house is supposed to be on the market already and EVERYONE is waiting on them - painters, plumbers, photographer, real estate agent, etc. We say it needs to be in ASAP and we will be demanding compensation since they are pushing back our listing date - they say they cant' talk about compensation until after the installation. It is FINALLY installed January 26th - we are told to call on Monday (the 29th) about compensation - I just got off the phone with them and because two pieces of metal are sticking out of the door it has to be inspected by the installer first and confirmed it is correct before compensation can be granted - interesting, never heard that one before. EVERY person I have talked to has been rude and spoken to us like we are *** - Bobbie, Judy, Jimmy, Sunshine (was seriously her name), Alexis, etc. In the meantime we have ordered twelve other things to complete this project from Home Depot with not one issue - and of course we're still waiting on compensation from Lowe's. Don't use Lowe's - they are extremely corrupt - oh and each time I was on the phone with them 30 - 90 minutes and nothing was accomplished - NOTHING - they just like to sit around and take people's money then say "we can't do that because it's policy" even though I pointed out to them NUMEROUS times that they have not followed ANY of the policies listed in the agreement with us concerning our installation - but of course that doesn't matter because they only follow the policies that are convenient for them. Don't use them - they like to take advantage of their customers and the majority of their employees are just nasty people in general, ask around, you'll get the same opinion - every person we hired to help us fix up our old house (plumbers, painters, etc.) told us they don't use Lowe's for anything because they are so incompetent with what they do and just want to take money. Go to Home Depot, even if it cost a little more it will save you time and money in the long run and at least you'll be respected and know the job will get done correctly and on time.

I fell your pain, I had a similar situation and they promise to compensate but Lowe's does not follow through with it. its been 2 months for my compensation and haven't seen or heard anything despite calling all the time and a promise that someone will be contacting me.

Purchased a GE dishwasher mid Oct 2017. It was suppose to be delivered right before Halloween. Lowe's messed up the delivery so it didn't come until close to Thanksgiving. It work for about 2 weeks or so then it stopped. Repair company came out said no one was here, 11 people were home at the time. Scheduled another time for Jan 2 2018. They came replaced a valve and claimed it was working. Tried it on the 4th it wasnt working. Repairman came again said we needed to order a motor. So when motor came in a different repairman came and said it wasn't the motor it was the water line. We replaced it and that wasn't the problem. So again repair man came Jan 24th replaced the motor. I as able to run 3 loads the next day, but on the 26th it wasn't working again same problem. Lowe's said all they could do is put in a "request" to GE to have a return request. Today Jan 29th received an email stating the dishwasher didn't qualify for a return. So tired of this run around. Talked to Lowe's today scheduled the repairman to come out for the 5th time for the same problem. We do alot of business with Lowe's through our own appliance purchases and purchases for our electrical company. We will be taking all our business else where if things don't get rectified.

Bath remodel took over two months in stead of the projected three weeks. Damaged a wall they refuse to fix. Did not do a final walk thru with me to see if I was satisfied so I did not sign off on the project , yet they closed it out anyway.

The young lady with blue hair @ customer service is very rude. Tried to exchange lawn mower that I tried to pick up wouldn't go into gear, went to customer service and was treated like garbage by this lady, funny thing is she apologized for being rude, ha she knew it! I advise shopping elsewhere.

in a Lowes store yesterday to buy 2 led shop lights, ($100) showed my VA health card as always and was told I had to be in their data base to see customer service. The conversation ended after name , branch of svc, date of birth, stopped the girl and asked her for the exact info for my data base, surprise she got offended. Went to Home Depot right down the street in, out, got the same discount for the same lights and everybody was happy. I will never return and will bad mouth them every chance I get.

Yet another entitled vet crying about discounts. You should be thankful when a store makes a discount available.

There are a lot of deserving people out there that don't get one. If you don't like the fact that they verify the fact that you are the vet you say you are there must be something you are hiding.
