Lowes - Blackfriday appliance rebate is a scam

1.0
Details
I purchased 3 appliances and completed all the forms and resubmitted all as requested but never received a rebate card. Lowes does not deserve any of my future business!

Same happened to me , I went to store and the store mgr gave me my rebate. They of course said “I will make an exception this time”. She should have said , It’s the right thing to do.

I also purchased two appliances during the Black Friday event and promptly submitted my rebate request. I received a letter dated 12/26/2017 stating my sales receipt did not indicate the purchase of at least two qualifying appliances.

How can that be when I submitted the receipt from Lowes clearly showing ITEMS QUALIFIED FOR REBATE and two appliances listed. I also included the actual purchase receipt. I copied the receipts and returned as instructed in the letter.

10 weeks later and nothing.Home Depot has pissed me off and now Lowes. Guess I'll be shopping at Menards.

From now on, always keep a copy of your submissions and follow up with whoever is running the rebate. Submit online too if possible.

Lowe's may not have even been running this particular rebate.

They may have hired another company to run it or it could be a completely separate deal. My last appliance rebate I had to follow up with the provider and they could see that I had submitted things correctly but the system hadn't paid me so they sent a refund.

A very bad experience in Clinton,NC Lowes store today

Details
I am very upset. I purchased a hot water heater over the phone and sent a man to pick it up. He was not given a receipt. Then I called about 6 times to try and get it installed. Spoke with Paula Smith that told me to come in and sign a contract. I drove 31 miles to sign the contract and when I got there, a man name Gary told me that I could not sign a contract because I had to pay another 58.00 dollars for a man to come out and detail the area and then another 229.00 dollars plus parts and labor. I am so disappointed with this type of service with Lowes. I have been a satisfied customer for a long time but this makes me think another way.

Lowes in Wake Forest, North Carolina - Awful in-store and customer service experience, just awful

2.6
Details
Here’s what an awful in-store and then online customer service experience looks like. I couldn’t care less about the discount but that Lowe’s no longer cares about their customers. I’m never going back. Lowe’s: Hi. My name is Janna with Lowe's and I'll be helping you today. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. Can you tell me more about what happened? Me: How to lose a customer with one bad experience. Change the rules without communicating with your customers and not provide a work around. Hard-and-fast rule changes for long time loyal customers don't feel real good. I think I'll see how Home Depot treats their customers for a while. Lowe’s: I did read that in the first initial text. I was asking if you could provide any details as to what you are referring to. Me: Just a minute Lowe’s: Ok Me: Sorry, I just left the Lowe's and was driving so had to pull over. Lowe’s: Ok Me: 1. Wanted a 2.7 cubic ft refrigerator but the one I wanted was on the top shelf. 2. Had to wait about 15 minutes for an associate. 3. They had to go get a lift to get the refrigerator down. Another 10 minutes 4. The lift didn't work, wasn't charged. Had to get another associate to manually pull the item down. Another 10 minutes. That was also very dangerous for that associate. 5. Waited in line for almost 10 minutes 6. Was told that I couldn't use the military discount with my ID because it had to be tied to a MyLowes account. Manager was called over and would not allow the discount but told me I could go to customer service and tie it to my account. I just paid full price instead of impacting the rest of your customers in line behind me. What I should have done was just leave the refrigerator and go somewhere else. So, a transaction that should have taken 15 minutes took about an hour and I got to pay full price for the item. You know what, I think I will just return the item and go to Sears to buy it. Now keep in mind that I've use this discount at the same store for years. It's not the discount that irks me, it's the sudden change of rules with zero flexibility. Not a pleasant experience at all! Lowe’s: I do apologize about the long wait that you had to get your order. Since May 1, 2017 Lowe's has been requesting that people register for the military discount. Then effective 1/2/2018 the option to manually add the discount at the store was removed. This was not something that was just thrown at customers. The move was to make the discount available to be used online as some veterans are not able to go to the stores due to varying circumstances. Lowe's wanted to make sure that anyone that was eligible for the discount would be able to use the discount. Me: That's not true. I've shopped at the store several times this year, and today, waiting to pay, I'm told about the rule change. Lowe’s: I do apologize but those are the dates of when these changes were taken place. Me: And I've bought tons of landscaping and fencing over the summer and fall, again, no one ever mentioned it to me. Lowe’s: I do apologize Me: Like I said, great way to lose a long time, loyal customer who spends thousands of dollars a year for home improvements not to mention that I will relate this experience to all my friends and neighbors. Good luck . Lowe’s: I'm sorry that you feel that way. Lowes customer service has been deteriorating for a couple of years now but I think it’s hit rock bottom now.

Lowes in Dyersburg, Tennessee - Won’t be ordering again

1.0
Details
Ordered a 96 gal trash can back on 2/2 online to be sent to the Dyersburg Tn store with an expected delivery date of 2/9, called yesterday to see if order had arrived and the lady told me to call back tomorrow because it would probably be on that nights truck, I call back sat 2/10 and this time I’m told “it may be out on the truck just not in our system yet, so call back later or tomorrow” . At this point I’m getting frustrated because it had been since 2/2 that I have been waiting for this delivery so I call the 1-800 customer service number on the order confirmation, this lady ask me to hold while she checks on it only for her to come and tell ME to call vendor money to find out where it’s at...... UH NO, I told the lady to just cancel my order and issue my refund. Guess I’ll be shopping elsewhere! Dang Lowe’s was hoping you could do better than that

Lowes - No customer service at Lowe’s in Riverpark, Fresno

We are looking at kitchen fixtures. And for two days this week, two Lowe’s employees (ladies) sat as they watched us looking. Today we finally approached them and said we had questions about kitchen sinks. They said they would contact plumbing associate who never showed up.

Lowes - Retail Stores wont honor online prices

Lowes is the first company I have ever come across that will not honor THEIR OWN online prices. My husband and I were looking for inexpensive blinds for our new home and came across a real bargain online. Trouble was, some of these blinds needed to be trimmed down a bit- which obviously can only be done in the store (which was not an additional charge) and could not be ordered correctly online. We came in about an hour before closing, so we expected a little resistance, but only found it when we came to check out. The woman who assisted us and had the couple blinds trimmed down to size was lovely. When we got to the register, the total came up, and we noticed it was too high. My husband asked if we got the sale price, which did not ring up properly, so the gentleman at the register did it "manually" but didn't properly discount it to the correct price. We realized this mistake when we got home and looked up the online prices again and then calculated sales tax. My husband called THREE different locations including the store we purchased from, and were basically told to kick rocks- they don't honor their online prices unless you purchase online. Guess who will be ordering the items again ONLINE and then taking them right back to the store for a return? So unneccessary.

Lowes in Lexington, North Carolina - Carpet seams(plural) problems and poor corporate assistance

the following is my humble opinion and I believe the following: Lowes is NOT standing behind my carpet seams(plural) problems. denying and trying to say seam is within standards. I WILL NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR BUY LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT AGAIN. filed complaint with Better business bureau in North Carolina whom seams to protect lowes cause they closed my complaint as resolved when its NOT. filed complaint with my local consumer affairs, lowes corporate office 866-284-8989 and 704-758-2084 ext 6587741 was useless and refuses to help.what a disgusting experience with Lowes and I wish I had LOOKED AT LOWES REVIEWS GOOGLED IT TO SEE SO MANY NEGATIVES. does this seam look within standards to you? smh they sent Gemini Flooring Carpet and Flooring 120 Freeman Ln, Manorville, NY 11949 to view seam which owner had no tools and used his car key to run along seam to take out excess glue and fibers so he claimed which left a bigger seam opening and noticeable and told me Lowes stand behinds carpet when they are NOT in my case. he also said they need to open it up and re-trim it. so how can they say it needs to be re-trim then claim its within standards? hmmm.I will be leaving NEGATIVE REVIEWS ALL OVER INTERNET

Lowes in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Tile Back Splash Nightmare

Lowes - Tile Back Splash Nightmare
Took three months to get them in to do the back splash when it was supposed to be within 3 weeks. The job was horrendous with uneven grout lines, unfinished edges, and tiles not level. The installers also took left over supplies that we purchased with them so we couldn't even attempt to fix it. Took photos to Lowe's and they agreed it was a huge problem and Crystal Garcia (N Myrtle Beach store) said they would offer a refund and a re-do. I agreed, but Lowe's then back pedaled and said no, one or the other. When we ultimately decided we wanted a refund (and would find our own installer to re do it), they disappeared and wouldn't respond to us. It's been 9 months and counting ...

This complaintent needs to realize that it is ilegal to receive more than what they are entitled too... meaning, they may be entitled to a full refund but that is it. For the complaintent to ask for Lowe’s to pay for someone else to do the backsplash at Lowe’s exspense is inappropriate and illegal.

Are they not responsible for returning the wall to the state it was in before they messed it up? Why should I be out additional money to bring in a contractor to take down the tile and repair the wall so a new contractor can do the job the right way?

The value of my loss is the our cost to Lowe's plus the amount it will cost for a contractor to come in and return the wall to its pre-Lowe state so a new tile installer can do a correct job.

Lowes in Lancaster, Pennsylvania - Rude employee

The female at the self checkout was so unbelievably rude, I left the store not sure I ever wanted to shop at Lowe's again. I picked up 2 items and proceeded to the self checkout. After scanning them they were more expensive than I wanted to pay. (The price under them on the shelves was $11.?? but they scanned at $23.99) I tried to remove them from the order by following the voice instructions which said to scan the item to remove. I removed both items (my mistake) from the bag. Well the voice said "item removed from bag". The female started yelling at me to "put it back in the bag. She did not get up, she just sat there yelling at me. I took a step toward her to ask for help, she got up and came over (I'm sure she rolled her eyes). She never asked how she could help, just said again to put them back in the bag. I told her I no longer wanted them and why. She said someone probably put them in the wrong place. (ok, I know that happens.) I started to ask her what she wanted me to do with them and she interrupted me and said "I heard you, you can go now." The sad thing is the gentleman in the tile section and the woman at customer service were very nice and both helped me, but what I will remember is the rudeness from her at the end..

you were probably the 20th person that day that couldn't follow the on-screen directions. I'd be pretty rude too. And probably the 100th person that tried to price switch an item.
