Lowes - Six months and still waiting

On May 2, 2016 we purchased a refrigerator at Lowes and a three year protection plan since our experience with products these days is that they are poorly constructed. In less than one year, we had problems. All of our food items were freezing up, dairy, vegetables etc. The repairman came out and determined it was the seal, so he fidgeted with it and it worked fine for a few days and then items began to freeze again. Once more we called him back and then it was determined the thermostat had failed, so he placed an order and then returned a week later to replace that item. So for most of April we had a giant freezer instead of refrigerator. As vegetarians we eat plenty of vegetables and it was impossible to keep them fresh. I sent a claim in for the damaged /lost food items and have been waiting for 6 months. Every time I call ,I sit on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes I get assurances that someone will contact me.... hasn't happened yet.. I'm on hold as I write this, in fact, this last gal said she would get her supervisor and then poof I'm disconnected... you think she'd call back. NOPE! This is a huge SCAM!!!

what does lowe's have to do with a faulty refrigerator? They didn't make it and the warranty doesn't have anything to do with them. They don't owe you anything and that's why you are being ignored.

Lowes in Medford, Oregon - Helpful and kind

They helped us with all our needs, also when we purchased our fridge and washer and dryer they have veterans discount for those who have served. They take the time to help the community when they can and also usually have friendly workers who ask if help is needed. I don't stay wondering for long, If I need help someone comes to me within 5 minutes . Scott helped us with discount plants for our yard recently and it means so much! I can't wait to have our yard up in running again. It's almost the last thing we need to finish up from our fire!

Lowes in Amherst, New York - Vinly flooring

Details
Order waterproof vinyl flooring at a Lowe's on Niagara falls Blvd. Amherst NY. Never received a call about the order for 9 days called left several messages to no avail. On the 12th day had to drive to Lowes and spoke a manager Rick who told me my order was in and has been in for days. The customer service at Lowes in Amherst NY is awful and young lady in flooring has terrible customer service skills and need to be retrained in the proper way to help customers. I spent a lot of money for the flooring and will I ever spend money at Lowes again NO.

They got you to come back to the store. The young lady in flooring actually did exactly what she was trained by Lowe's to do.

It's all about getting as many customers as possible to make as many trips as possible to the store. Figure it out.

Completely false. Lowe's although does track customer traffic, it values quality customer interactions far greater then overall traffic metrics.

We went into Lowe's at Clearwater mall to buy a dishwasher not one person came up to help us and then we went back to look at carpet and same thing not one person asked if they could help us. I realize our $1000 that we were going to spend there tonight is nothing to them but word if mouth about bad service is alot. Spending my money at Home Depot

9/24/2017 Monroe NC store # 0680- Returning a $3.99 toilet fitting that did not work. I actually tried to put on toilet therefore there was some dirt on the end Linda Jenkins front desk refused to process the return. I had several other items but she would not refund - she finally called the manager on duty and after a lot of heated discussion the manager decided to refund! Ridiculous that it was such a problem. When an customer is not satisfied with the service the last thing the employee needs to do say in a smirk tone "Have a nice Day"!!!! She had a very caddy attitude during the transaction and actually followed me outside the store still hollering have a nice day.

Would you buy a fitting that wasn't clean? Seems like some A wholes thing they can return products in a less than desirable condition.

Stores end up discarding products like this. Why should they take a loss because you couldn't figure out what you needed before you bought it and couldn't bring it back in new condition?

How do you consider this poor customer service? Being a better customer will always get you better service.

Well since I thought it was the correct item and it wasn't her attitude was the problem. I know that they are not going to go broke because they were asked to refund $3.99. I've spent plenty of money there and I can assure you I'm a good customer.

Lowes - Skin chemical burns

This saturday 9/23/17 I purchased a dewalt planner for $600 + the shrink wrap around it was very dirty ( not a problem) but the wrap gave me a chemical burn I got Hives and blisters on my arms . Also the car seat has it on also. anyone tell me what it might be. I have been always been happy with lowes for the most part.We are redoing the house and have spent thousands of dollars in the past few weeks. It was an allergic reaction. I'm allergic to a few things and there is no doubt in my mind you had an allergic response to whatever you came in contact with. You should be angry with your body no one else.

Sadly, Lowe's will have little recourse for you in terms of outcome and compensation for the injury. It will be reported, but if the reaction was caused by the product in its original packaging, Lowe's will pass the situation along to the corporate buyer for DeWalt products.

Lowe's will help you through the process of holding the correct people accountable for the issue, but there is actually very little the company itself can do.

Lowes - doesnt honor contract - Kitchen rehab

We hired lowes to remodel our kitchen. The coordination of the contractor and lowes delivery of materials was a mess. They sent the incorrect cabinets twice. Then failed to send the full arrangement. The floor has serious defect issues and the workmanship by the contractor is poor. Complaining to Lowes is very frustrating the "specialist" that were very interested in getting our business ignored the complaint initially. Only when corporate got involved did they come out to review the kitchen. Rude, indifferent and couldn't care less. It took 6 months for the kitchen to be completed, we are not happy with it. Continue to complain and asked that someone from management review the work. Delays delays delays. Corporate offers compensation that is about half of what it would take to fix their work. we continue to battle but be aware their strategy is to delay AND WEAR YOU DOWN, until you give up.

I bought a garage door opener. Paid 205.00. Took home and realized it said 1.25 horsepower, was really a 3/4 horsepower. So now to return. I went to store number 2738. Lacey, Washington. Jessie the manger was horrible. I walked in and said please i need to return. A young lady said wait. Never asked me for receipt. Jessie showes up.and asks me for receipt. I gave to him. He then gave me problems from start. So i went looking for something bigger and stronger. No luck. Came back. Jessie lost my receipt as he says. And said he had to witness me on camera to prove i actually bought it there. Took 30 minutes and walla he found receipt He is an idiot and deserves to be fired. Hate that store do to manger Jessie

Lowes in Trotwood, Ohio - Lowe's Refused to Install LVT

I had Lowe's quote LVT in one room (currently has carpet) and two bathrooms (both have linoleum). Lowe's contractor came out, took measurements, went through the scope of work, and provided us with a quote. SIX WEEKS later the product finally came in, the install was scheduled, installer showed up and within 10 minutes said the floor was not level. This is unacceptable. I paid for Lowe's to send out a qualified contractor, signed a contract, now Lowe's will not honor the contract. I have spoken to numerous Lowe's employees, trying to get resolution, and NO ONE returns my calls. I have since contacted a contractor that I know personally, and he leveled my floor, took him approximately 2 hours. he said that he believes that Lowe's just did not want to do the work, that my floor was very level, just a little compound needed in a couple of areas. Lowe's still has my money, has not returned my call since my last message (3 weeks ago). I think it's the old bait and switch routine, I bought the product yet they refuse to install due to being held liable for the warranty. Now I have no warranty, which is the reason why I contracted with Lowe's to begin with. I am not only extremely angry, but now more disappointed that Lowe's NEVER returned my calls, even after promising they would. Unbelievably poor customer service. I'm wondering how many other people have encountered the same issue....class action lawsuit comes to mind.

last friday I purchase a storm door and had the store (#0491) hold it for me to pick up this week-end, ok. now I go to pick up the door and go to customer service counter to get the door. only one person was work and she was at refund counter with at least 6 people waiting. as I am waiting other people are behind me (3-4) and we are still waiting. then this women comes strolling up working on her face and carrying a soft drink and just goes behind the counter and does say one word to anyone. so I address her for some help, her respond "I do not work here". she as a lowe's vest on and address the group with that responds. I then say could you try to get us some help here, it was like I ask her to do major surgery on her mouth. so at that I leave this area in search of help, as I walk around the store I count no more then 5 people and only 1 is really doing anything. so I as the only one working if she could help find some one to assisted at customer service counter. she did try and finally this person who we will address as an assistance to the store management, Travis. now he Travis is totally lost and by the way wearing a hat that has no relationship to lowe's. he ask if he could help and I respond yes, so instead of standing in the middle of the isle I as him to move over to a corner. which I start asking questions, which I see he has no idea. much longer store so I will cut to the chase, I got my money back from the store and just left. now if this is the way corporate america plans on running it stores, I am here to tell you, you are going to fail, so get ready america here it comes

That's a bummer, for I prefer Lowes over home Depot any day. I can never get anyone to help me at HD, but at my Lowes they are actually helpful.

You took the correct action by cancelling the order. Now, find the Lowe's website and send a complaint to corporate about this location.

What they do with it, who knows, but now get your door from Menard's, Home Depot, etc. The problem at this store is management at some level---either with corporate determining how many people should be working that day or store management not managing the employees or paying attention to what is going on in the store.

The sad thing is, tho that nowadays most employees could care less that the store lost a sale or that customers are provided bad customer service. After all, they don't own the store and if they provide *** service, "ain't my problem." We are doomed.
