I AM SOOO PISSED!!!! I WENT TO CHECK OUT AND THERE WAS A BLOND GIRL WHO WAS HIGH ON SOMETHING. I HIGHLY BELIEVE IT IS SO TERRIBLE AND UNPROFESIONAL TO COME TO WORK ON DRUGS!!!!!! SHE WAS SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTED ME. IM SO UPSET. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE LETTING HER STILL WOR THERE. IT IS A DESCRACE TO THE COMPANY AND ITS DISRESPECTFUL TO ALL THE CUSTOMERS. I MEAN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A FAMILY PLACE TO SHOP NOT SOME DRUG RAVE!!!!! I WILL NECER GO THERE AGAIN!! I WILL DEFFINATLY NOT RECOMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE! WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I went to lowes in mccandless township on McKnight road aprox 2 weeks ago and here is my experience.. check out I present my veterans administration card to the cashier to receive what has always been a 10 % discount. instead this time I get told sorry sir you only quality for the discount on holidays. (being rated at 30 percent disabled by the va this did not sit well). I looked around saw the number for customer service and with out even a argument for the check out lady agreed to pay full price for my items. I took everything out to the car and called the customer service number briefly told them what had happened and they directed me to go back inside to the customer service department in the store to receive the discount. I entered the store and was greeted by a young lady that said she had received a call about my situation and was more then willing to help she just needed a managers override. she called for the manager and all of a sudden I was in the middle of world war 3.. here she came the exactly lady that had denied me the discount at check out.. her eyes where shooting right through me in what appeared to be disgust. she ordered the employee to check my veteran id again demanding I don't qualify for a discount being that she had already checked it. I inhaled deeply and tried to explain how I had called customer service described my id to them and got verification that I indeed do qualify for the discount. she only talked over me louder now. at this point in time several employees are gathered around and a spectacle is being made . the manager (ie original check out lady) demands im not a disabled vet. she says whats wrong with you anyhow you don't look disabled to me. again politely I begin to explain that not all disabilities are visible only to be talked over as she slammed her manager over ride information into the computer and then she stormed off leaving me standing there infront of what was now 3 or 4 other employees.. I looked up at the check out lady and laughed a little smiled at her and simply said wow your boss is a real nice lady isn't she. she smiled back and began to apologize for what had just happened of course it not being her fault I asked her to stop thanked her for her help and went on my way home. but wait it doesn't stop there. I told my wife and she was obviously upset calling the store and corporate writing emails and taking to face book to tell the story of a home improvement store that treats there vets horribly. her family owning a small family business themselves she did not put the name of lowes out there in any way shape or form but let people know that something happened. I too called to file a complaint and was told someone would get back to me in a few days..well 2 weeks later and no response no apology and for that no business from my extended family who now shops at home depot and I encourage everyone now to do the same

The policy on Veteran discounts needs to be clearer. Technically the discount is only for holidays, but many stores will automatically give it if shown ID. The issue with this is that when someone goes to a store where this is ok, then goes to a store where it isn't it causes conflict.

Worked at Lowes in Hampton Virginia. Many racists people at this store. I was treated very due to race. And the management knows all this is going on and does nothing if anything they engage int he racism from the delivery *** Manager Fred to another manager named Glen. I advise African Americans DO NO T WORK HERE. You will be degraded and treated highly unfair. Feel free to ask any African American there in private and I'm sure they will spill their guts. very racist. Unfair. And they will to anything to get rid of people who stand up for themselves

Sales trans#6424253 07/20/15 The local Lowes schedule delivery of a Refrigerator to my home this PM. When it was not delivered I went to the store to find out why. I was told the delivery was not in the system, nor my purchase was not recorded. Somehow the system failed. She was unable to determine the reason. Since it was past time to make delivery she rescheduled for tomorrow, 7/23/15. Having removed all contents of my frig I am going to have spoilage. This is my first bad experience with your stores, but it is enough. Some one dropped he ball. Bill Juett, Crestview, FL.

Lowes in Meridian, Mississippi - Employees say they can't remove security tags when item purchased

Altho I like Lowes, I'm upset with the store in Meridian, MS. I purchased a small item, just an outdoor faucet for a garden hose. It had a large security tag attached via a steel cable. After paying for it, I asked the cashier if they could remove the security device and she said "No". When I pressed her on it, she told me they could remove it at the Lumber checkout. Got down there & they said they couldn't do it. What?? So it looks like I've stolen it as I leave, & I have to get wire cutters too now.

I went to homedepot and and i bought a pair of gloves and i asked them to take the red security tag that read (SECURITY DEVICE) off and they said they can't take it off and if you the alarms sounds your fine

Lowes in Deltona, Florida - Installation of wood flooring

Details
Two white men installed the actual wood flooring in well, no problem with the actual floor boards. The problem was with everything else, starting with the trim. The trim along the floor was not mitred well so all the corners do not meet neatly. They also did not take the time to shave the other end that is supposed to butt up against the wall so there is an half inch gap and it looks ***. I had to fill it in with alot of puddy. In the closet they left holes where they for whatever reason did not bother to lay trim down. I had to stuff the holes with paper towels and I will puddy over that. The trim on one side does not really touch the wall or floor. It's like floating yet nailed into the wall. There is a small gap there. They work with this pink puddy (why pink I have no idea as it is very visible on white trim) and it looked like a kid that went finger painting. I talking really messy. I have yet to scrap up all the puddy that should not be there. They got that pink puddy all over my bathroom floor and fixtures. It comes off with a bit of scrubbing but common. They took the doors off their hinges and I believe were in such a hurry to leave forgot to replace them. My husband had to put them back up. Basically I did not feel like they cared, they were just in a hurry and did a half *** job so they could get in and get out as fast as they could. I know they would not have done their own homes in this fashion. what a mess. Oh and they broke a leg off a table we had with our tv on it when they pushed it out of the way. I noticed it after they left one of the legs was bent inward. Thank God the tv didn't fall off. I will not use Lowe's in the future. We had used them once before this and the men (these were different men then this time) Two black gentleman did a nice job installing our living room floor, they did leave a gap in front of the door to the bedroom but we didn't complain because these guys tried to do a good job. But this new guys should be fired. Disgraceful!

To train their installers better. I don't want my money back and I don't want the problem fixed if they could not get it correct the first time I will rather fix it myself. But it's important Lowes knows how their installers are working badly.

Lowes - Installation Review from Swedesboro, New Jersey

I purchased carpet/runner for my new home and it was to be installed in two separate visits. The carpet was installed without issue however the runner installation has become a DISASTER. The 3rd party installers called my husband to schedule installation for Thurs June 11 from 2-5pm. By 3 pm no one had arrived and my husband called the installers and they were closed. At 5 pm my husband called Lowes and was told he would be called back. When he was called back he was told they were an hour late (would be there at 6pm). No one called to tell us this before and we had to pick up our kids from school so could not wait for the installers. My husband is in sales so if he is not working he is not making money and he took off 3 hours to sit and wait as schedules for the installers who never called to say they were late. I came home early from work (and also had to lose money for leaving early to deal with this and get my kids), and spent 45 minutes trying to speak to someone at Lowes to find out what was going on. I was disconnected 3x before I spoke to a person. When I finally spoke to someone I was told that the installers were now running even later and could be there 6:45. I was asked what solution was acceptable and I told them that I was not willing to have my husband wait another 3 hours for installers and that I would need someone to come back with a tighter window and I would want compensation for my time wasted. I was told that someone from the install co. would call me the very next day at 8am (the owner) to reschedule and to offer me compensation. The next day (today) as promised, the owner called me and tried to reschedule for today (Fri), barely apologized for the fact that his installers were running 3 hours late and tried to tell me that they did call to say they were late. Which is a LIE. Neither my husband or I heard from anyone about anything and would not have known they were even late if we hadn't called ourselves. And then of course, he did not offer compensation. I called Lowes immediately and spoke to an assistant Mgr who attempted to resolve this and I then received more calls from install trying to schedule today which I declined and still no offer from anyone for compensation. I then received another call from a different Lowes asst mgr to tell me the best they can do is offer a measly $100 cash payout for my time. My runner was $800!. End result I cancelled the runner. This is too much frustration and too much time wasted. I don't want that lying install co back in my house after the rude treatment I received, nor do I want to do business with Lowes flooring any longer. The time my husband and I wasted dealing with this nonsense yesterday and today is worth more than $100... LOWE'S... SHAME ON YOU!
