Lowes in Stockbridge, Georgia - No quality product, No quality service

I purchased a mower on 4.3.2017 from a local store. The unit was in a box - sealed when we picked this up. We were told that the mower company [Troy-Built] recommended special fuel for the unit. We purchased the fuel as recommended by the store. We assembled and used the mower that day. Over the next few weeks, the unit started and worked well. Then in June [2 months later] the unit stopped starting. We contacted the store and we were informed the return policy is 30 days for in store exchange. We were directed to contact the manufacturer to arrange a warranty repair. Lowe's also discovered that the mower was 2 years old! The date on the tag stated built in 2015. This was an issue with return and warranty, since they believed that I must have purchased this 2 years ago, came and purchased another one of the same units [since I have a receipt] and was attempting to return the older unit. I called Troy and received a return case# and they sent me to a warranty store 10 mile from my home address. After packing up the mower and delivering it to the store, The informed me that they no longer provide warranty service for Troy-Built mowers. I called the manufacturer back, they sent me to another shop 15 miles away. I delivered to this shop and they accepted the mower. After 60 days of waiting, I called the shop and they informed me that the fuel damaged the carburetor! I was very angry at this time, since I purchased expensive fuel when I got the mower so this would not happen. It seems the store, warranty service and the manufacturer all have a scam to get you to buy stuff that you do not need and it still will not work! Why do we have to buy an extended warranty to cover your product for a few months? If you would build a quality product, we would not need to spend more money to have it stay working. I am still without a mower, paying to get lawn cut and waiting for a resolve to this mess. DO NOT buy from Lowes! They do not stand behind what you pay for. DO NOT buy Troy-Built mowers or MTD products. They do not work and they do not offer any real warranty repair. So many red-flags from the mower date being 2 years after manufacturing and still being sold, only works with specialty fuel and not many shops willing to service the products tells me that there are issue. Stay away!!

2015 I were hired Lowe's Home Improvement installed siding, windows and gutter; It cost me $40,000. Last year I have observed that my ceiling was stain I have no clue what is happen now the ceiling paint peel and water drops on windows and floor so I have to go up attic to check where it leaks I have observed that is *** from nail full out cause by the installing guy were nail on roof to hold the scaffolding during they install siding and windows when they remove the scaffolding they forget caulk the roof so over time the shingle expanse that why it takes longer to see it leaks when I up the attic I had observed that other side of house has a nest of bird I did not why I had keep looking you get what I had find out the holes other side of the house when they had removed old siding it was tear off the install inside when they replaced the new siding but it is not go all the way up to the roof so they had leaved the holes they also not replace the soffit. I am a handy man usually I haven't call to complaint because my house is too high and the roof was a straight I have went up to the roof but barely to walk it is sliding. My neighbor told me that to call Lowes don't kill yourself so I have make a phone call to installation department on Monday 8/7/2017 one of the worker answer my phone call his name is David you know what is told me I am apologize the labor warranty only one year so my warranty is over nothing he can help me we talk back and forth about 5 minutes but the problem still the same so he had switched to his supervisor his name is Mike so the problem is not be solve he had said the same thing my apologize the labor warranty only one year; He keep repeat over and over like a record about 15 minutes. I have given him a last chance to solve my problem. He said that he can't do it I have said that this conversation is over and I hang up. In my situation a leaking will take over year to see it leaks and the missing siding no way I can see from the ground. My BIG QUESTION FOR LOWE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT why I have to hire you. You go out to hire another contractor we do not know them so we liable on Lowe's to behind your customer now I have stuck with one year labor warranty so you can hire the contractor do lousy job. Nothing can fall down and go bad in one year. I am so disappoint on Lowe's because I expect on Lowe's too much now on all my project never and ever go to Lowe's I will tell my all friend and my customer do not use installation from Lowe's.

I was asked for my email when I purchased an item so the they could send me promos (or so I thought). I received an email for $20 Off your next $100 purchase. I took the coupon down to my local Lowe's and they said they don't honor that type of coupon. So, who would have sent me the coupon? I was tricked into going to Lowe's and spending 100 dollars instead of to the cheaper and more variety selection of Home Depot. I was humiliated in front of other customers like a criminal making my own coupons!? What's wrong with them? I asked to see the manager and the same thing. I know its not the customer service you get in Wal-Mart but they shouldn't have been so snobby.

I purchased a storm door and it has small cracks on the glass and they refused to do anything about it they lie so much but GOD is watching and listening and u will have to answer to him I hope you don't treat all customers like I got treated I called so many time and the manufacturing company and all they did is play the blame game on each other I never got a call letting me know what was going on I asked to speak to managers never got one I have never experienced such poor salesmanship I'm letting everyone I know don't buy anything from lowes they never wanted to come out and look at the cracks

Have you tried scraping the "cracks" off with a razor blade? The glass used on a storm door is tempered.

Tempered glass won't have small cracks. If it gets hit hard enough to crack it will shatter into thousands of small beads.

If a bit of the sealant used in the manufacturer of the door gets strung across the glass it can look like a crack but is easily removed with a razor blade. Give it a try...might be an easy solution to your problem.

Worst experience We purchased a lowes refurbished refrigerator and had it installed by lowes.. the refrigerator never got cold.. we called customer service care they said that we will have to call lowes repair... lowes repair stated that based on the work order that we need a part that wouldnt come in for another 2 weeks without looking at the refrigerator .. we called customer care to let them that we would have to wait two weeks before they could come out with the part..customer care was very apologetic and said that they would replace the refrigerator with a new one knowing that the old one was refurbished and that the manager at the store will give us a call. We never received a call we had to call them and the manager Bill is refusing to give the ok to get a new one. To top it off when the refrigerator was delivered one of the deliver men (Kevin) was disrepectful knocked pictures of the wall, dropped one of the refrigerator doors and told us he wasnt doing *** and walked off the job. This happen in front of my elderly mother.

To start off I have to say that Lowes has the absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced! I bought a dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave on July 22nd (Thursday) was told the delivery date of the following Tuesday so I took off work to be there for them to deliver they never showed up never called or nothing. So called the delivery number to sit on hold for and hour for them to tell me they have to reschedule because they didn't have my stove in the warehouse so they rescheduled for that Wednesday, then got an automated call that night after talking with them saying it was rescheduled again. This has happened 6 or 7 times two of them me missing a days work! For two weeks I called the delivery hub, had to sit on hold EACH time for 30 mins to an hour, then got transferred to managers that would give me the run around and say they would call me back and never did! This matter got escalated to corporate as an emergency and everyday was told within 24 hrs I would be called back by Corporate, for them to never call! Then finally Ashley(Manager over delivery hub) left a voicemail saying they have all of my items and it would be delivered on Thursday again took off work to be there and they bring everything but the stove. But they send me an email saying all items were delivered so Once again called and sit on the phone for another hour for Joe to tell me that the warehouse didn't put the item on the truck so rescheduled for Saturday at 8 am. They never showed up, never called nothing. So call back that day sit on hold once again for over an hour to be told they never put the delivery in the system all the way and that he would find out what was going on and call me back and,once again esculated it to Corp to be contacted. I waited 2 days he never called and neither did Corp! So this past Sunday I go into the store and Dan the associate that helped me the day I bought the items called them to find out what was going on and I had to stand there for your and half for them to tell them they don't have my stove, that they would have to order it and it would be another WEEK before my stove would be in the warehouse. So Dan(sales associate) goes above and beyond and starts calling stores to find out that a store less than 20 miles has one. So he calls them ask them to hold it and calls a manager over to help get me my stove. So then Jeff and Eli(Store Managers) come over and schedule my stove to be delivered on Tuesday(today) so again I leave work early they never showed up never called!! Call the store talk to Eli and he said it didn't get put on the truck and so I would have to wait yet another day and *** early again for them to probably not show up once again. I ask where the responsibility falls on all of these Employees from Managers at the store, to delivery drivers to delivery managers all the way up to Corporate and no one can answer me to who this falls on all I get is excuses and lies and these people still have a job!! To me Corp is supposed to be the one that you go to when you can't get things done the way they are supposed to, but its sad when you can't even rely on Corp to even return a phone call!!! That's ok cause if my stove isn't here at 10 in the morning Channel 9 news will be called!! I will never buy another thing from Lowes! I would rather pay a thousand dollars more and go to Home Depot or Best buy!!!! LOWES SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE..

After many no shows and many many calls they delivered my appliances and gave me a discount for all the trouble. Wouldn't order anything else from them that has to be delivered. I learned my lesson.

Lowes built us a deck with poor quality lumber and a contractor that did shoddy work. We complained to Lowes and the contractor and they are not doing anything about it. I complained to the store, the salesman, and also to corporate. Still no results. I will never again have anything done by Lowes and recommend that no one else should go to Lowes for any contracted work, and if you do, read the contract really close. You could get ripped off. I went to Home Depot today and told them how Lowes treated me and showed them pictures of my deck that they really did not do properly, or safely. They were surprised. They said they would do everything they could to have me for their customer from now on. They have really nice lumber there and they will be my place to go from now on.

I have been in contact with Lowe's and with Corporate and they have told us that they are going to resolve our problem with our deck. They are sending a different contractor out to redo all the things that weren't done correctly.

We are very satisfied with their decision to resolve our problems.

Will let you know when it's finished (after the winter weather) in the spring how satisfied we are then. Everything has been approved from Corporate to begin.

My experience as a contractor doing mainly finish work, is that Home Depot's lumber and wood is far superior to Lowes. Have worked in several different cities with both stores available and I have noted this to be a consistent trend.

Lowes in Lowes, Kentucky - Lack of customer assistance

Stop in to see if lowes carried any metal hand rails or kits for outdoor entry steps for the back porch. Walked around the store for 25 minutes and not a single store employee asked if I needed help. Went to the lumber area where 3 employees were restocking the shelfs and could not get their attention either. Guess I'll have to find another place to shop since this store has gone way down hill on assisting their customers. When they first opened you couldn't walk 10 through the door without someone asking if you need help. I guess those days of customer service are long gone!

That's the way big box stores are now. If you want help you need to walk up to someone and ask for it. Walking around won't do anything for you unless you know what you want, where it is and can grab it yourself.

I ordered 2 American Standard Sanoma toilets on line. First I visited the store on Mavis Road, Mississauga and was told by an employee to purchase on line for the 20% discount. I promptly returned home to order them on line (10% off on each toilet) :). FREE shipping plastered on every page for orders over $49.00. The following day I received an email to pick-up the toilets within 4 business days and promptly called the customer service number provided. The Customer Service Rep explained there was an asterisk (*) next to FREE shipping that excludes anything over 100lbs...this was my responsibility to check. Angry I asked for the Manager and was passed to Kera Free who began rambling the same information. I advised her it was not up to the customer to check the asterisk if the order went through as a shipping order without prompting the customer to check. There is an additional $80,00 charge for delivery apparently and the savings was only $32.00 ha!!!!!! What a joke!!!!! She was rude and did not allow me to speak continuing to ramble her trained response. I have never been spoken to in this manner and CANCELLED my order immediately...not trusting at this point in time I awaited the emailed cancellation!!!! Never again...very rude and no attempt to appease their customer. I am no longer a customer.

Lowes - Store website is a terrible mess

Looked at the stores website for some fertilizer and it stated they had 7 bags. Also add other items to purchased and went. Went to garden area and could not find the fertilizer. Finally an associate came buy and he went to check on this and came back and stated they had none in stock. So no big deal I went to the other area of the store that gave me the aisle and bay location for item. Went there and there was nothing that looked like I wanted. I went to customer service, and waited while the clerk and the customer she was talking with were having a home town meeting about everybody and everything. I finally got to talk to her about the stores website and she told me she would pass this on to the manger. I laughed and stated this was the third time they told me they would do this about the stores website. An associate came by and contacted another Lowe's and asked if they had what I was looking for in stock. The individual at the other store asked why didn't he look it up with the hand held device. He told them he was sending a customer over for something and wanted to verify if it was in stock. I had to drive another 16 miles to this store and then back. My wife had called the same store and the same individual told her they had this product. She asked if he could please verify this and he said , right and I'll just tell these other customers here they will have to wait so he could have to go check on it. She hung up and called me. There were no carts in the garden center so I had to walk through the store to get one, and then I had hope to see someone come by to help me load this product ( I had a broken elbow) so I loaded it myself. Went to pay and used my military ID and was told I could go to customer service and link my ID to my phone number and I wouldn't have to pull my ID out all the time. After standing in line for customer service, he asked if I had ordered anything or had an account on line, or a Lowe's credit card. I told him no to all three and he told me he could not help me. But he said I could go home and create an account on line and then come back and they would then help me. I said you people need to get your facts and information together because I wasted my time in line for nothing.
