Lowes in Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Management is horrendous

Treat customers and employees terrible. Have heard more than one manager yelling and then resorted to bullying the poor guy right in front of me!!! Pushed my cart out of the way ($500) tool cart mind you and left the store will never go back

Home Depot has self checkout too. What is your actual complaint?

You want low prices and you get them because Lowe's and Home depot have low overhead.

One of the ways to accomplish that is to have fewer people on staff, thus the self checkout. If you want full service, maybe you should have shopped at the locally owned businesses before they all went under 30 years ago!

Self checkouts are great. Home Depot haas them as well.

You can check out much faster at the self check out lanes. I always use them unless I have large items to scan and need a cashiers help.

Lowes - Rebates/Gift Cards

I purchased over 5500 in appliances on July 3rd, 2017. The associate told me as well as cashier that I qualified for 450 rebate gift card. All appliances on receipt were listed as qualified for total rebate. I received on 300 rebate/gift card.. I call was on the line an hour and a half but still was denied the balance of rebate (150) I was to get a call where I apealed the decision, that was two weeks ago and no return call or email about the difference in rebates. If only five of the appliances had been listed I would have been fine but all six said qualified, I didnt get the balance of rebate no the courtesy of a call or email. I just purchased a 3000 mowere and 7000 in flooring and a 14k kitchen from lowes and was very disappointed that I didnt event deserve a call about the discrepancy. Maybe i should look at a different home store next purchase, one that stands up to their word. Very disappointed

I have been working on replacing my Kitchen Cabinets, Counters and some new Appliances for 5 months and still not complete. Lowes on James Island, SC should not be in the business of dealing with the public. It took months to get the Cabinets and some were damaged and needed to be reordered. I was sent cabinets I didn't order and was forced to keep them, The Granit Counters were spliced together, 5 months later the over the Stove Microwave I was told can't be installed because the house has no studs ( Lowe's Knew 5 months ago ) and now the Kitchen Sink Leaks and the plumber was a no show no call to fix a problem he caused by forcing the connections. I called the Store Manager as a Curtesy Call to let him know the problems and his response was to blame me for the problem and the Install Sales lied to him and also Blamed me. I called Customer Service over 5 times and each time I was told to call back if nothing was getting dun, I am on hold with Lowe's Customer Service now with my 6 or 7 call, I lost count. I will never deal with Lowes again.

Lowes - Credit card line of credit- disappointing

So Ive paid a good paying Lowe's customer for about 2 years now. Opened a credit card with them in 2015 when I bought my house and use the card to purchase fixings for the house. Fast forward to 2017- again, no late payments, no payment issues, card balance $0.00 on an original credit line of $4300.00. Im trying to increase my credit line now to make a big ticket purchase so I went online and was looking to see if this would be considered a hard or soft credit check- if I increase my credit line to about $5000. nothing on the site. ok cool. So I called customer service and the rep is telling me credit increases are "always soft inquiries" great!! so I asked for where I can see what she is telling me as I have a 800 credit score and am very protective of my credit and don't just want to run it for no reason. She puts me on hold and comes back saying she couldn't see anything of the check being a soft check online but she knows its a soft inquiry. UMMMM no sweetie??? I don't need you to think, I need you to know and have it in writing. She puts me on hold to ask the "manager" if there is any documentation where I can see this and comes back saying the manager says it could be a hard or soft inquiry and she doesn't know and there is nothing she can send me or direct me to the website to see any of that. well guess what lowe's... customer lost because you cannot tell me that something so simple you either don't know, telling me its a soft inquiry and you don't know, have nothing in writing and cannot direct me to somewhere where I can get the answer ???? disappointing and disgusting. I will take my further business elsewhere to a company I can trust that has documentation.

Lowes Johnstown, Pa. Poor customer service

Went to lowes Johnstown, Pa. today to purchase 10 bags of red mulch. I entered the garden center to purchase and because it was going to storm. They closed the doors to that department. I asked the person who was closing the door if I could still get mulch and could someone load them for me. She assured me someone would meet me out there. But i had to go to the main registers to check out. So i did. Stephanie was my cashier. I asked her to be sure some one could load my car. She said i dont think there is anyone. I said well I guess I'll need to go some where else. I replied could you call someone please. She turned to the next cashier who said someone should be out there. Then the women who closed the garden center doors said someone is out there. I proceed to get my car and go to where the mulch is. Waited 15 minutes no one came. It was starting to rain. So I loaded my own car in the rain. It is a good thing I am honest I could have loaded as many as I wanted ! I am a single women of 67 and felt someone should have heped me. This is not the first time.

If there is a storm coming why are you shopping for things in the yard anyway. You can bet they are busy making sure products that can be damaged by the storm are undercover and protected.

They are closing doors and other precautions in preparation for the storm. Seems like your expectations are somewhat unreasonable considering the pending weather.

Load all you want. The garden center is utterly worthless.

I did a special order online 6/26/16 for LG 28.8 cu ft french door refrigerator with dual ice maker. The item was back-ordered. So it came in around the end of August first of September. With in first 5 months had issues with frig and repair came to fix it. Now having issue with cooling so I called repair Tuesday only to be told my warranty was out due to purchase date. I explained item was back-ordered. So repair said I need date of pick up. That is when problems began. I was told to call credit card company that they would have date. Called Lowes credit card, LG and store it was delivered and no one had the date we picked up the item. Now the local store said it was purged off their computer but they had paperwork they would go thru and get back with me. No one has ever called me back. I have talked to 2 customer service people and 2 managers of the store. I do not think I will ever do business again with Lowes or buy anything else LG.

Why do consumers always blame the stores for their inability to keep track of their receipts? Whether you picked it up at the store or you had it delivered, you would have been given a receipt with the delivery date for your records. You should have the proof you need in your records.

It was not the issue of receipt. I had my receipt.

It being backordered was the issue. They started my warranty date of purchase instead of when we picked up item.

I needed proof from the store as to when it picked up and the store could not give me the date. That was issue.

Lowes - Samsung dishwasher is a piece of junk - model DW80J3020UW

It doesn't clean the dishes at all. If there is food particles on the surface of plates it throws them around and they get inside glasses and cups and bottles. It's very quiet but that's where the niceties end. I absolutely positively do not recommend this dishwasher. I always have to rinse the dishes manually when I unload after a wash cycle. How could they sell this POS and where is the consumer protection agency in evaluating these pieces of junk before people spend their hard earned cash buying them? Samsung should stay away from dishwasher and stick with TVs. A quiet piece of junk.

How old is the dishwasher? Has it always had this problem?

My Kitchen-aid dishwasher developed a similar problem after 3 years. The fitting holding the chopper blade came loose so the disposer didn't work properly and the filters became plugged, reducing water pressure.

All of which caused the problem you describe. Have you had anyone look at it or are you just assuming it's a piece of junk without having it checked for a problem?

Lowes - Over charging for tiles and refusal by clerk to provide assistence

Clovis California store, asked clerk for assistance and was told she was to busy to provide help. Got assistance from another cleric to get the SKU Number for 2 tiles. When to check out and was charged for 20 tiles, then the clerk who refused to help came buy said that they were selling only in pack of 10. The check out clerk continued to charge want to charge me for 20 tiles even though I only had 2. The Tile clerk then took off and got "busy again". I refused to pay for 20 tiles when I only had 2 and told the check out clerk to keep the tiles. I think I will shop more now at Home Depot, they help their customers, don't mis-represent product prices, and the "True Value Store" just down the street is more helpful.

No, you should pay for 20 if you don't want 20, but if they are only sold in cartons of 10 you would need to buy 10. Just because you or someone else tore a carton oren doesn't mean they will sell them individually.

Lowes - *** blower gone bad....

july 22 went to lowes in Lancaster, ca on k st and 10th. we needed a cordless *** blower for are birthday. went to lawn mower dept. a girl with blond hair waited on us, sold us a dewalt 20 volt blower. she said all the stuff was in the box, the charger and the battery. we went home wanted to charge it up and there were no charger and battery. I was mad , I called the store talked to the store manager and stan the man talked to me. come on back I will sell you this for half price. I told him she said it was all there for that pric. a mistake was there, I bought the charger and battery for 44.00 and went home and said ok lets do this again. we got home opened the package and stan the store manager forgot to put the barreiy in the bag. now iam very mad icall the store manager and explain to him , angel told me to come back and he will give me a battery. what a bunch of bull ------ I fell this store needs help I feel I got cheeted on the price my time and my patience I will never shop at lowes again, I have new hardwood floors to do and a slider to put in well home depot here I come. please call me if you want to help this situation 661 718-2910 john ahern I am one pissed off customer

I'd be willing to bet that the box says the battery and charger are not included. Sounds to me like the store manager was pretty generous in selling you a battery and charger for have price to compensate you for the salesperson's error.

It's unfortunate the battery didn't get put in the bag .

Seems to me that a person buying 2 items would not only see that one didn't get put in the bag and also notice the bulk of the second item missing as the picked it up as well. From the problem you had with both trips it sounds like you aren't a very observant shopper.
