Lowes - Balzac location

My husband and I have been searching for a vanity for our bathroom for quite a while and finally found on we could agree on. We required assistance to get it down off the shelving. After waiting 25 minutes, after pushing the assistance button, I decided the manager needed to be contacted. His name was Glen and in all my years of customer service have never before met a manager that does not give a *** about his customers, until I met Glen. I told him how long we have been waiting and that we pushed the assistance button multiple times. He didn't even know what the assistance button was. He told me he would get someone over to us as soon as they are finished doing what they are currently doing. Little did he know that I was advised by another associate that most staff was on break. I told him that another guy was waiting as well in the area and had his timer on his phone running , he set it after hitting the assistance button, and it was now at 35 minutes. I told that manager that we shop there all the time and that their customer service has gone severely downhill in the last 6 months. He didn't even care . He would not look me in the eye. I lefty full cart at the front of the store and walked out without any sort of satisfaction from any staff including the manager. I honestly think that Lowes should take a look at this manager and his behaviour. I do not feel that I cannot spend my hard earned money at store that does not care . Like I said before I shop there allot but there are many home improvement stores around that actually have staff and management that will go out of their was to help.

I too have had similar experience. In windows section I pushed call button and waited and waited.

So I decided to go look for an employee and could not find ONE...I then went to till and asked teller if she was the only one working, it was creepy,thinking I and a few customers were the only ones in building.

She the had to call store manager and he did meet us in windows after 5 min wait. I am from smalltown 1.5 hrs away and was very disappointed with Lowes!

Unfortunately the store manager doesn't have control over how many people the can have on staff. That is determined by a higher level of authority and he is probably just as frustrated about it as the customers are.

That is part of the whole "discount self-service do it yourself warehouse" market that Lowe's is a part of. Menard's, Home depot and all the others are in the same situation.

They have to make such small profit margins to keep cheap a55es coming to their stores that they can't afford to pay anyone to work there. Been going on for years and is only going to get much, much worse so get used to it.

Lowes floor installation disaster.
Installed Feb. 2017. Kitchen and utility room. Ripped out, June 2017. Installation error caused water damage including black mold to baseboards and drywall. Situation: Purchased Geospring Water Heater from Lowes in 2012. Very satisfied. Similar to an AC unit, these drain condensation through a condensation line. Code requires drain. Installer installed vinyl planks over the portion of the drain needed for the condensation. This caused water to go onto the floor, then under the baseboards, then under the floating floor and through the kitchen. Because of the location, I did not realize the problem for 4 months. Who would think a floor installation could cause a leak? Baseboards had some mold, but drywall had terrible black mold. Floor was ruined. A swimming pool underneath. Insurance company sent restoration out, they ripped up the floor, sealed the utility room until the mold issue was resolved. Between my deductible, and new seepage rules, 14 days to notify insurance company, even if concealed. I will be paying this myself. Lowes never came down to inspect. I am not handy. But, if I was installing a floor, and saw a black open end tube over a drain, I would not put a floor over any part of the drain. Will be going to court. Photos are of black tube blocked and open.

Never use the stores installers. Lowe’s and Home Depot Installers are usually not licensed.

So that makes them Jake legs.

We have gone behind and cleaned up their messes more than once. Their products are of a lesser quality.

Lowes - Very bad customer service

On June 12, 2017 I ordered hardwood floors from Lowe's in Dedham, MA. On June 13 I called them and agreed about delivery on Friday, June 16 and it was confirmed. At the end of the day I received a call from customer service stating that the delivery was rescheduled on Saturday, June 17. In reliance on that promise we removed our carpet in the bedroom. Yesterday at the end of the day at 9:15 pm I received another call from the store with different and senseless explanations that they are unable to deliver on Saturday and earliest delivery day is Monday, June 19. Now we are sitting at home in full and complete mess and don't know what to expect. I will never buy again from any of Lowe's stores and would not recommend this store to others.

Lowes in Valdosta, Georgia - Lowe's doesn't care about customers

Details
I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer from Lowe's in Ellijay, GA. Bought the extended warranty. Had to keep the pair in storage for a couple of years after moving to place that wasn't large enough. Recently took out of storage & started using. Extended warranty is still in effect. Clothing wasn't getting clean. Watched through clear lid to find that clothing wasn't even getting fully wet through entire wash cycle and not moving from the top. Lowe's sent repairman and then a Maytag factory rep. Both watched a load through cycle. Both said they agree does not wash properly, does not add enough water and is rough on more delicate clothing. Both said they wouldn't have it and both said I need to get another washer with tall agitator & deep water option. But both also said they would not tell Lowe's this - they would have to report that the "machine is working as it is DESIGNED TO WORK". I pulled up my model's manual online. It even states in the Troubleshooting section: If you experience - Not cleaning or removing stains Possible causes - Wash load not completely covered in water Solution - Washer senses load size and adds correct amount of water. This is normal and necessary for clothes to move. Do not add more water as this lifts garments off washplate, resulting in less effective cleaning. Hmmmm- To clean clothes & remove stains, it is necessary that the clothes be covered in water; but in this model it is normal that all the clothes are not covered through the entire cycle and they don't want you to add more water. THIS IS INSANE! Lowes will not do anything unless a repair person tells them the washer is unrepairable. I even tried to get them to send out a manager from the local store. "They don't do that."

Lowes in Anderson, Indiana - Lifetime warranty now 90 days?

In lowes parking lot right now trying to Google the warranty but can't find it anymore.. I bought a kobalt 25 steel tape about 12 months ago. It said on the package lifetime hassle free warranty no questions asked. I'm a dewalt guy and seeing as they don't make a tape yet and I go through them like candy it couldn't hurt to grab the warranty one.. about 4 months later my tape is all beat up so I take it into lowes and the guy says sure go grab a new one. Boom! Done! Great! New tape.. exact same one as I bought last time.. we today.. about 6-8 months later my tape is twisted and mangled. So I take it in. I grab the exact same kobalt 25 steel tape I have been buying and take it to the register and she says well what's wrong with it? I proceed to show her the twisted up tape and then turn the box over to point out the warranty . Well it's no longer There! It now says 90 day warranty with the receipt and they can fix or replace at their discretion? Well ***.. not a huge deal about the tape just kinda pissed I bought something with a lifetime warranty for the lifetime warranty and now they ha e switched it to 90 days? Wtf.

Lowes - Irresponsible management

I've already written to you about this, it's about a roof that I ordered that wasn't delivered 'til eight days after it's guaranteed delivery date' a manager that lied to me all the while he was accusing me of being a liar. You did respond asking me to name the managers, I did receive that correspondence and accidentally deleted it, or something. I do apologize for that. Anyhow,their names are; Jared Clark, and Rich Huddleston (hope I spelled them right). I told you about 'Clark' already, 'Huddleston called me on June 8 or 9, and he didn't lie to me, or at least not an original lie, he did iterate the already established lies, but his demeanor was also very adamant that store #2202 is absolutely blameless in all matters that sales that take place in their store and are made by certified Lowe's employees are not their responsibility.WOW now I feel enlighten-ed! WHAT AN EPIPHANY! So now I'm DEMANDING an admission of fault, an admission of guilt(for lying), an heart-felt apology, and an offer of compensation. I'm not going to tell you how to resolve YOUR wrong doing. My phone # is:(928)758-5490 I'd still like to refer to myself as a gentleman.

Lowes in Troutman, North Carolina - Worst Customer Service, Do NOT stand behind their warranty

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator and 3 year service plan. The fridge quit working and repair was made. Within 30 days fridge broke again. I called for service and was told they dont service Samsung products! I need to call Samsung. WHAT, I purchased at Lowes and with their warranty. I hung up and called again, this time I got scheduled for service, but 6 days later. After waiting all that time without a fridge the day of my service I took off work and waited and the repair person did not show up in the allotted 4 hour time frame I was given. I called Lowes customer service to see what happened and my options. I was treated very poorly and got no where further on getting a repair. I still have an unusable fridge and maybe a repair person coming. I dont know and they dont know. Also it gets worse since the claims are within 30 days its all one issue not two separate so no end in sight. If it was two separate the third incident I could look at lemon law. So between the two incidents for the last 30 days I have had a working fridge for about half the time.

It seems that Lowes makes it as difficult as possible to claim the benefit you pay for with the extended warranty. Their customer service numbers are a joke with people who do not listen to what you tell them but simply repeat the same pre-written answer over and over again.

I too have a Samsung refrigerator and bought the five year Lowes protection plan. I've had the refrigerator less than 3 years and have had to have it serviced at least 10 time so far and the customer service representative being smart said I will more than likely be making more calls within the next 2 years.

Retail stores do not warranty products. The manufacturer does.

If the problem was within the 1st year Samsung is responsible for the warranty, not Lowes.

If you purchased a service plan beyond the 1 year warranty it again is provided by an outside company that would be responsible for the repairs. Don't complain about the retail store, complain about the company responsible for the repairs.

@Anonymous

The service contract was sold by Lowe's and you are directed by the plan papers to call the given number. I did and they connected me to the local store manager.

He set up a service date. Thus my only organization I had contact with was the local store.

I feel that they then are the ones that must make good on the protection plan I was sold when I purchase the unit just as the person in this complaint! Lowe's took my money for the plan and thus responsible for living up the terms of the plan!

Companies need to protect themselves from people claiming discounts they don't deserve. That's why they have gone to a process of verifying those asking for discounts.

There is nothing that says any store owes vets a discount.

Be happy when you are offered one and if you don't like what is required to prove you are a vet don't expect the discount. Perhaps you aren't really a vet and are just upset that you won't get a discount because they won't be able to verify that you are what you claim to be.

@Anonymous

I am most certainly a vet,I have zero problem showing my I'd each and every time as I do at Home Depot. My issue is with submit my personally info on a web site to a company I have never heard of.

They are paying the third party company which in turn raises their prices so this is not affect just veterans discount this affects all of their customers they could keep it in house and it wouldn't cost them anything. And we could just continue to show ID as we have in the past...
