Lowes in Denver, North Carolina - Poor fence install

Details
Purchased a fence from them. They installed the fence too low in the ground. The bottom rail is just above the dirt. They kept delaying fixing it until the 1 year warranty expired. Spoke to corporate and they want to charge me to raise the fence to the proper height. The fence company they use is Price Family Fencing. I'm very disappointed that Lowes won't stand behind their work. The fence company should have realized their mistake. Come see the terrible job in villages of Denver.

Lowe's took my money and messed up two doors that we purchased. Now, after many months, they still haven't made it good with us. But I will not back down. For those of you who get the runaround from Lowe's like calling their corporate office only to have them call the store and put you back at aquare one, there are options. 1. Keep records and notes 2. File with the Attorney General in your state 3. Use your credit card from a reputable bank so you can dispute the charge and get your money back 4. Small claims court - it's not as expensive as you think. We consumer don't have to feel defeated when in fact we can take action on companies who intentionally blow us off.

Kobalt, Lowes and so called extended warranty

I bought the Kobalt mower and trimmer last year for ease of use and cord free usage. Big Mistake Within 11 months I had the mower battery replaced twice and the unit replaced. At 11 months the battery blew up. When I complained I got an email to go get store credit. When I took it back the clerk acted like I was trying to steal from them because I did not have a reciept with me even though I had the prof of return and the email with me. She even went so far as to say I had to have bout the unit on line because the store never sold the unit (Not true I bought the unit in store) The trimmer is heavy and the string does not feed . I have had to buy two more, rather expensive batteries and a charger to be able to complete my slightly above average yard. Cannot find replacement spools now so I have had to rewind the dual string spool and reuse, always a huge hassle. The parts finally broke this morning and I realize I do not want to go through the hassle again in the store because of defective merchandise they will not honor on warranty (even if you buy the extended warranty) and get treated like I am trying to get away with soimething. I have attempted to not use the word never because life makes for unexpected. Suffice it to say I will go gtravel and *** before getting anothe Kobalt unit and I cannot see myself wasting money on warranties Lowes does not honor.

Lowes - Delivery of lawn mower & lawn cart

XPO Home Delivery apparently facilitates delivery of large products for Lowes. Had a Troybilt lawnmower not sold in the store sent to the local Lowes for assembly & delivery. XPO Home Delivery called & left a message the night before stating delivery would be between 5-7pm the next day. By 8am the next day the delivery had already been changed to 6-8pm. At 7:45 I called XPO to inquire about the delivery. Only a message machine to leave a number for call back. Played that game every 10 minutes because I didn't get a call back or a delivery. At 8:15 I finally called Lowes and express my concern. I was put on hold & when person returned explained there hadbeeb an issue with another delivery & they'd be at my home in about 1/2 hour. 5 minutes later XPO calls to regret that my delivery will not happen today. I pressed for a verification that it WOULD be delivered first the next day and the person could not verify that. Had to speak to a manager. I requested a call back that night with a solution to the problem. No call by 9:50pm so I again called Lowes to find out if XPO brought back any undelivered merchandise at the end of the day. He said the did & I told him to NOT reload for delivery, I would find someone to pick it up. I am not a happy camper. Apparently "free" delivery from Lowes involves delivering at the convenience of the delivery company, not the convenience of their paying customer. Was a huge Lowes fan before this debacle. Rethinking my stance. They WILL lose customers over situations like this.

Lowes - Military Discount Requirement

Lowes states that it is proud to offer millitary members and veterans a 10% discount but now wants you to register on their site where a third party will be verifying your military status. This is a major insult! Our Id card is not replicable and has noticeable features on it thatr warrants validity of its own merit! Those of you doing this with Lowes failerd to learn while you were in the military! REALLY! Do you really want all these entites knowing all your information??? If you do this, they know where you live and know your personal information; far too much information for for a store to need to know. Not sure about anyone else, I will "NOT!" be shopping at Lowes until they get their head out and eliminate this extremely *** idea. If their employies are cheating the system they need to put cameras up and moniter transactions! Needless to say, they won't be getting any of my inform,ation. Going to Home Depot from now on, they don't pull *** like this!

Yet another vet crying about a discount. You are NOT entitled to a discount.

Be thankful for the stores that offer a discount and abide by the program they have set up to get the discount.

There are far to many ways to abuse a system and their verification is to prevent fraud. Why is it that vets seem to be the only group of deserving people that complain about discounts?

It's not about the discount it's about lowes wanting our personal information to submit it to a third party there is way to much spam and fraud this information shouldn't have to be submitted to additional companies to verify ...btw name another job that you leave your family for endless months not knowing if you could for all for about 2k a month!! Their website states they can deliver lumber AS SOON AS TOMORROW - this is not true, 3 orders in a row I have been told they can not deliver for up to a WEEK after the order. The Lowe's 1-800 # told me it was my fault , I should have read the terms and conditions...."I'm sorry you failed to read the terms and conditions" MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP MISLEADING YOUR CUSTOMERS! Once, they said it couldn't be delivered so I offered to pick it up instead. They refunded my delivery fee - after spending about 1.5hrs driving to a friends to borrow a trailer, I get a call from Lowe's saying the delivery was on its way - make up your mind people! Twice, they called and told me the delivery driver called in sick - but 2 hours later I see my neighbors up the street getting appliances delivered.......FROM LOWES Third, this time the delivery team is backed up for a week and a half..... The store was nice enough to refund my delivery fee the first two times, but today being the THIRD instance and not being able to get my lumber for 9 days after ordering I am done doing business with this Lowe's.

Lowes - Never ever again!

This company is a joke, and if you don't ask the right questions you will get screwed. I ordered a custom island for my kitchen, I was told that because of the size of the island it would be delivered in 3 pieces that I would have to screw together. I was also told that the drawers and cupboard doors would be installed already but the panel for the back of the island I would have to install along with the front kicker panel. It seemed easy enough and I have a good drill so figured no problem. When I finally received the island (almost 2 months later than I was told I would) I was now rushed to get it together because I had contractors scheduled to install stone on the island and my counters, not to mention my husband is military so by the time it finally arrived he was out of town on a course, so I'm left by myself to get this all ready for the stone. As I'm opening boxes and getting the placement right in my kitchen I notice that the back panel and kicker panel are about a foot longer than the island. I called kitchen kraft (the company that Lowe's uses) and was informed that I needed to have a table saw to cut the panels, they purposely supply them longer for spacing reasons? apparently they typically only do custom orders for contractors therefore it's never an issue. Well I'm not a contractor, I'm not a carpenter, and I do not own a table saw. Then I notice that the lining in the drawers are all bubbled, so I call lowes.... a month later they send some reps from kitchen kraft to take a look, they seem soooo shocked and have never seen this happen before, go figure. So now they are looking into ordering replacement drawers but will let me know if they are allowed or not. A week later and I still haven't heard anything back. So now I basically have to hire a carpenter to fix the island and cut it and put it together, which is nearly impossible because contractors typically wont take on such small jobs. At the same time that I ordered the island Lowes also ordered me a bunch of stain so that I can stain my kitchen cupboards to match the island, 4 months later I get a call from a warehouse telling me that my stain has arrived and they want to deliver this to my house, which is great except I have a job and my hours are almost the same as this warehouse that has my stain. I asked if they are able to deliver the stain to the store location and I can pick it up there instead, apparently they can't do that. I ask if they can deliver the stain to my office? No to that one also. They are only allowed to deliver to my house and I have to be home during their 4 hour delivery window. So now I need to take a day off of work to receive $60 worth of stain that I ordered 4 months ago.... right on. Then I realize that this is going to be the same situation for my replacement drawers that I may or may not get approval for along with the edging tape that I also had to order because when I do get the panels cut that are too long there will be a rough unstained edge left. So now I'm looking at 3 to 4 days off to receive these items, and will likely have to wait a few more months for the rest of the items ordered. After spending over $5000 on an island that is incomplete and looks like I purchased used off of kijiji, and now add a few days off work to deal with Lowe's delivery schedules I'm completely fed up. I want my money back, I want that *** island out of my house and I never want to step foot into another lowes again in my life.

to bad all the locally owned cabinet shops that would have given you good service have been driven out of business by people just like you that only care about saving money by shopping at the "discount home improvement warehouses." That would be your first clue to what the issue actually is.

Lowes in Kingston, Massachusetts - Your company is GARBAGE.

I recently purchased a home that is a fixer upper. To date, I have spent thousands of dollars with Lowe's in Kingston, MA and I regret every cent (if you don't believe me, look me up). My home renovations are only about 20% complete, and I will never spend another dime at your despicable company. How can you honestly look at yourself as a company and claim "good" customer service? I am not going to waste my time typing out an entire story about each appliance I purchased and how your company proved its incompetence; just know I will be going out of my way to make sure I express how poorly I have been treated, and every person/review site I encounter, I will suggest alternative companies just to make sure my circle of people do not make the same mistake I did by trusting your company. You are the very reason big box stores receive such a bad rapport.

Lowes - Frustrated Customer

Bought a stove on June 3, 2017, was given date and time-frame for delivery of Monday, June 5, 2017. Stove was not delivered at specified time. I began to call Lowes and was given a runaround. I called various times and was told I would be called back. During one of the calls, I was actually told I was not on Lowes "Delivery Manifesto". During my last call, I informed the employee that I would not be home if stove was delivered later that evening as I had to go to work. He said would return my call but did not. At 8:30 that evening, I received a call from the delivery man stating he was at my house. No one was home so no delivery. After various calls to Lowes the next day, I was given a delivery date of Wednesday, June 7th. Stove was finally delivered one and a half later than time-frame I was given. It was a very annoying, time consuming and frustrating exoerience. The worse part is that the stove is for my tenant whom I now have to compensate for 2 and a half days without a stove.
