Lowes in Kingston, Massachusetts - Your company is GARBAGE.

1.0
Details
I recently purchased a home that is a fixer upper. To date, I have spent thousands of dollars with Lowe's in Kingston, MA and I regret every cent (if you don't believe me, look me up). My home renovations are only about 20% complete, and I will never spend another dime at your despicable company. How can you honestly look at yourself as a company and claim "good" customer service? I am not going to waste my time typing out an entire story about each appliance I purchased and how your company proved its incompetence; just know I will be going out of my way to make sure I express how poorly I have been treated, and every person/review site I encounter, I will suggest alternative companies just to make sure my circle of people do not make the same mistake I did by trusting your company. You are the very reason big box stores receive such a bad rapport.

How are you going to express how poorly you were treated if you won't take the time to provide any detail in your complaint?

Lowes - Frustrated Customer

Details
Bought a stove on June 3, 2017, was given date and time-frame for delivery of Monday, June 5, 2017. Stove was not delivered at specified time. I began to call Lowes and was given a runaround. I called various times and was told I would be called back. During one of the calls, I was actually told I was not on Lowes "Delivery Manifesto". During my last call, I informed the employee that I would not be home if stove was delivered later that evening as I had to go to work. He said would return my call but did not. At 8:30 that evening, I received a call from the delivery man stating he was at my house. No one was home so no delivery. After various calls to Lowes the next day, I was given a delivery date of Wednesday, June 7th. Stove was finally delivered one and a half later than time-frame I was given. It was a very annoying, time consuming and frustrating exoerience. The worse part is that the stove is for my tenant whom I now have to compensate for 2 and a half days without a stove.

Appliance purchase from Lowes

I have never had such a fiasco to buy a washer and dryer in my life. Their system is so screwed up and the ignorant people that you deal with and never mind the hours on hold! I will never buy anything from Lowes again! They can shove their store as far up their you know what as possible!!!!!!!!!! The aggravation of trying to get someone on the phone with some degree of intelligence is a joke. I miss the home town appliance companies that used to be in business. The Big Box stores ruined all of that! Like I said, I will never purchase anything from this *** operation as long as I live!

Don't blame the big box stores for driving the home town store out of business...consumers did it. Home town stores provide a level of service that big box stores don't, but it costs more to provide that level of service.

Consumers just looking at saving a few bucks buying at the big box stores are what is driving home town stores out of business. Consumers need to wake up and realize they are really getting something of value for the higher price they pay at a home town store. Not much different than all the made in China products filling the shelves of stores. People would rather save a buck than buy a quality product made in the USA that will last longer.

Where was the washer and dryer you purchased manufactured?

If your problem was delivery delays and you purchased one to the 2 big brands made in Korea that could be a problem, If their US warehouses are out of stock there may be delays getting them shipped from Korea. It's often hard for the people at the stores to get a straight answer from the manufacturer as to when the appliances will arrive.

Lowes - Not a honest place to do business with.

I was going to install new flooring in my living room. I usually install it myself, but they were running a half price deal on installation so I thought why not? They sent someone out to measure and do an estimate. When I contacted Lowe's back they said the installer guy who did the estimate only could do part of the job, that I would need to purchase a different more expensive product for him to do the whole job. I explained to the guy at Lowe's that I had some of the expensive product left from a previous installation that Lowe's had done a few years before. The product would work just fine to do the job. The guy at Lowe's told me I must purchase new expensive product or the installer could not do the job. I told the Lowe's guy I would do the installation and since the other installer person that they had do the estimate only provided a partial estimated, I wanted a refund for the cost to estimate or apply it toward my purchase. They Lowe's guy said he would do neither and it was to bad. Then he asked me if I was ready to place an order? I told him that was to bad.

You aren't going to find a lot of stores selling carpet and installation that will install carpet you have had sitting around for a few years. There is no way of knowing how it was stored and what condition it's in.

The only way they can warranty their installation is by selling new flooring. Your expectations are unreasonable.

Lowes - Poor Service

Yesterday I drove 35 miles to Espanola, New Mexico to purchase decking, windows and order a carpet estimate for my office. I was there for over an hour waiting for someone to help me. I finally found someone that said that was not their department and they could not help, however, he tried to call someone to help me. After a very long time of waiting no one came and he called again for help. Finally someone came and said they did not have enough help, etc, etc. I told him I was not interested in their problems and that I needed help and every time I came to this store I had to beg people to help me. He said he would get a manager. I waited and waited with the young gentlemen who was trying to help me, no one came. I told him I was going to continuing shopping and where I would be if the manager came, no one ever came . Finally I went to customer service and asked if anyone could help me. She said no. I said thank you for being honest. She tried to get a manager to no avail. I ask for a pen so I could get the numbers down on what I wanted and thought I would just order it on line. Can't do. Today, I called the Espanola Lowes again and was told my order was commercial and there was no one there to help until Monday. I told her the things I wanted were on sale and needed to order today as they went off sale tomorrow. No can do. I then called the 1-800 number for Lowes and placed an order. She said it would be a $78.00 delivery charge. I ask why because I had never been changed a delivery charged for things I had purchased before. She said this was lumber and that was why. After discussing this with my husband we decided to pay the delivery charge. After I gave her my address the delivery charged had been increased to over $150.00. I told her to forget it. It has been impossible to purchase anything from you and I think someone needs to know. I am the owner of a business and I know I appreciate it when someone tells me if they have a problem as I can correct it if I know, but if I don't know I can't do anything about it.

I have a friend that works for Lowe's in Lafayette Louisiana on Ambassador Caffery and the night manager is a woman she get in people's face and act like a kid but what is wrong with you she tell him one thing to do and then turn around and tell him not to do it let somebody else do the job for them everyone has another job to go to in the morning they should get out early but she won't unlock the door for the people to get out she waits until 6 sometime before she'll let the people out people got to be to work for 6 or 6:30 7 a.m. work all day at the next job and come back to work at Lowe's at night and still have to put up with her hollering and screaming then turn around she walk around eating but the rule is you eat on your break how is it that she can torment people and get away with it y'all have cameras why you not watching her she want people to go out in the stormy weather but she won't do it she want people to pick up other people's mess but she won't make the people that leave the mess pick it up before they leave what's wrong with that picture what are you running slavery I don't think it's right worker job and do it right don't turn other people against people she's doing that everybody is fussing do something about it everybody needs a job but they don't need to work in *** that lady don't need to be there she don't need to be in that kind of business Lowe's is out to make money like every other business is trying to please the people trying to get along with workers she's not doing that

HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL IN BUSINESS? Placed order online, waited several hours ( I should have gone in a shopped for it myself, but figured since they offer a service I should try it out.) Big mistake. Called local Lowes they were more than happy to cancel my order since they were so busy. I drove to the store to find out why my online order still shows in process and validate the *** claim they were busy. Sure enough, empty store with employees standing around talking and conversing with each other. No concerted effort to offer any assistance or acknowledge any customer in the store, there were about 15 of us in the store. That's not busy by any standards. Left and drove 28 miles each way to The Home Depot to get fulfill my needs. FYI - they never canceled the order so I was double charged. Pathetic experience. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. Apathy should be painful - ie closing stores and people losing jobs when they don't provide a quality service.

Lowes in Aransas Pass, Texas - Avoiding price match with online by falsely claiming different items

Lowes tries to avoid meeting it's own websites prices by claiming that the item on the website is different from the one in the store, but in my case it was a false claim. I had purchased a Larson storm door in black which had to be special-ordered. The in-stock white doors were labeled as $279 in the store, but I was told that the colored ones were $319. I subsequently noticed that the website price was $279 for all colors. When I went to the store to claim the difference I was told that the item number for the black one online was different than the one I ordered from the store, I pointed out that the website showed that there were 10 of the white ones in stock in the store. If the white ones in the store were the same as the white ones on the website then it stood to reason that the black ones were also. When I confronted the store manager about this I got several conflicting explanations all in 10 minutes. I was told that the ones ordered from the store were "custom made"; I pointed out that with a 14 day delivery time for both the store items and the online ones, none of them were custom made--they were being shipped from a warehouse. I was also told that it was simply because one was "special ordered" and one was from the website. I asked if that didn't connote that both were special ordered making it odd that one would cost more than the other. I told the manager that if he wasn't going to match the price then he would need to provide me, in writing, a description of the difference between the online item and the one I had ordered in the store. At this point he gave up and gave me my refund.

Lowes - Lowe's Won't Honor their Online Prices

1.0
Details
I placed an order for 3 patio chairs at a sale price. My order went through and got a confirmation email. I checked on the status of my order later that day only to see that my order was canceled. The chairs are still in stock, but the price has gone up considerably. I have contacted Lowe's through Facebook and email. I can't get anybody to talk to me like an actual person. Just a dumb form letter telling me the order was canceled due to "incorrect pricing". Most stores honor "incorrect pricing". Lowe's isn't even trying to make it right. I'm very disappointed. They have lost a customer.
