Companies need to protect themselves from people claiming discounts they don't deserve. That's why they have gone to a process of verifying those asking for discounts.

There is nothing that says any store owes vets a discount.

Be happy when you are offered one and if you don't like what is required to prove you are a vet don't expect the discount. Perhaps you aren't really a vet and are just upset that you won't get a discount because they won't be able to verify that you are what you claim to be.

I am most certainly a vet,I have zero problem showing my I'd each and every time as I do at Home Depot. My issue is with submit my personally info on a web site to a company I have never heard of.

They are paying the third party company which in turn raises their prices so this is not affect just veterans discount this affects all of their customers they could keep it in house and it wouldn't cost them anything. And we could just continue to show ID as we have in the past...

Third time's the charm. I won't be screw again by Lowe's. I spent an hour of my life I will never get back on the phone with them tonight because I placed an online order to pick up items clearly marked in stock at the store. Today, two days after I placed the order, I check the status of the order and it says "in process." I call the 800-number, and they contact the manager of the store who can't "find the order." How is it that I get an email confirmation of the order, another email thanking me for the order, the customer service representative can pull the order up with the order number I provide, yet the mouth-breathing store manager has no clue about the order? The one item that wasn't in stock and was to be shipped is already en route and will be here tomorrow. To add salt to the wound, neither of the two representatives tonight could have cared less that I was frustrated and didn't get my order. I cancelled the order. This is actually the third time this has happened, twice with the same local store. I have NEVER had a negative experience at Home Depot so I must have had a moment of crazy to even try Lowe's again. I'm a permanent former customer. I'm from the old school, when customer service was actually a thing. It's a cliche, but it's true. Lowe's sucks and sucks big.

Ordering online and expecting excellent customer service? I guess you're not too "Old School".

Get used to it.

The people working at your local store do not benefit from sales on the internet. They earn their paychecks and therefor dependent upon customers purchasing at the store.

Sometimes the website can't update quickly enough for the actually inventory. People steal things, boxes go missing, *** happens.

You're the reason customer service isn't the same.

We try so hard to help everyone, but people always find room to ***.

Go "old school" and actually go to the store instead of ordering online.

I was in the plumbing department looking for a particular item for shower I knew exactly what I wanted the package had several items in it I went to a employee and asked if they sell just that one piece separately he asked what I wanted I told him that one piece by itself for a shower he says no the shower stuffs another cytisus bathtub only if I share it takes this size he argue with me and told me no go to the next aisle he refused to help me. The next day I went there to get another part again and Plumbing as I'm looking up parts employee walks by lets me tells me to move because I was looking at stuff and he was too lazy to move a shopping cart that they had trash out so I had to move my cart so we can get around me he was very rude also I've learned not to shop Plumbing at Lowe's anymore if I haven't shop at Lowe's again

Had a contract to do our roof. Did it in 2 days but on second day came home to find workers family members with children sitting on my front lawn! Fiesta time! Also had a hard time getting the info for our insurance company. This was Lowe's in Sanford NC

Lowe's Has Damaged my roof, cracked my front walk, covered my car in stones, and caused water damage in my home from roof leaks and has even failed city inspections and I currently have an open permit on my home. I signed my first contract with them on august 2, 2017 it is now march 21st 2018.

I paid Lowes in full and there subcontractor placed a lien on my home because lowe's did not pay them because of there failure to install the roof in a good workmanlike manner. The subcontractor exaggerated the lien a committed a 3rd degree felony. (And all of that just scratches the surface).

I have been on News Channel 9 wftv/ abc. (https://www.wftv.com/news/action-9/action-9-investigates-home-improvement-chain-contractor-complaints/695471946) This company is hurting hundreds if not thousands of people they need to be stopped and held accountable

terrible installation of washer and missing pieces of dryer. When When the delivery truck came they claimed didn't have the needed installation cord and couldn't install the dryer as promised. Also, they didn't have any tools and were asking me for pliers and a screwdriver. Then, when they installed the washer they didn't level it, or put it in the right place, or attach the hose guides. Next, when I called the store to fix the situation I was put on hold for an hour twice and told they would call me back which they didn't do, until I called corporate customer service. Also, 4 out of the 6 people I talked to at Lowe's either put me on a hold of longer than 20 min to get rid of me and were outright rude and clearly apathetic.

Lowes in Denver, North Carolina - Poor fence install

Details
Purchased a fence from them. They installed the fence too low in the ground. The bottom rail is just above the dirt. They kept delaying fixing it until the 1 year warranty expired. Spoke to corporate and they want to charge me to raise the fence to the proper height. The fence company they use is Price Family Fencing. I'm very disappointed that Lowes won't stand behind their work. The fence company should have realized their mistake. Come see the terrible job in villages of Denver.

Lowe's took my money and messed up two doors that we purchased. Now, after many months, they still haven't made it good with us. But I will not back down. For those of you who get the runaround from Lowe's like calling their corporate office only to have them call the store and put you back at aquare one, there are options. 1. Keep records and notes 2. File with the Attorney General in your state 3. Use your credit card from a reputable bank so you can dispute the charge and get your money back 4. Small claims court - it's not as expensive as you think. We consumer don't have to feel defeated when in fact we can take action on companies who intentionally blow us off.

Kobalt, Lowes and so called extended warranty

I bought the Kobalt mower and trimmer last year for ease of use and cord free usage. Big Mistake Within 11 months I had the mower battery replaced twice and the unit replaced. At 11 months the battery blew up. When I complained I got an email to go get store credit. When I took it back the clerk acted like I was trying to steal from them because I did not have a reciept with me even though I had the prof of return and the email with me. She even went so far as to say I had to have bout the unit on line because the store never sold the unit (Not true I bought the unit in store) The trimmer is heavy and the string does not feed . I have had to buy two more, rather expensive batteries and a charger to be able to complete my slightly above average yard. Cannot find replacement spools now so I have had to rewind the dual string spool and reuse, always a huge hassle. The parts finally broke this morning and I realize I do not want to go through the hassle again in the store because of defective merchandise they will not honor on warranty (even if you buy the extended warranty) and get treated like I am trying to get away with soimething. I have attempted to not use the word never because life makes for unexpected. Suffice it to say I will go gtravel and *** before getting anothe Kobalt unit and I cannot see myself wasting money on warranties Lowes does not honor.
