Lowes - Lowe's Extended Warranty is a ripoff!

I purchased the Lowe's extended warranty for my fridge, dishwasher, and microwave back in 2012. At the time, LOWE'S serviced their own extended warranty work. They have since contracted with A&E to do the work. My dishwasher wasn't draining, so I called for service. The customer service rep. made an appointment for me the next day, but the technician never showed up. I called, and they said the appointment was in their system for 2 1/2 WEEKS later! That's NOT what I was told! I never received an email confirmation from them, and even called them the morning of the appointment to ask them to CALL ME when they were on their way! *** I rescheduled the appointment for the following day. The Tech never called me to let me know they were on their way to my house, as I only work a few minutes away. So I missed them and my dishwasher is STILL broken. Their customer service is just horrible. I feel like I've been screwed over, as Lowe's gave me the old "bait and switch" by selling the warranty contracts and not notifying their customers. I'm definitely not getting what I paid for! Don't buy a Lowe's extended warranty! It's a waste of money and time!

Lowes - Shipping Service Review

I purchased a stove,washer, dryer and refrigerator. This was a month ago I have bed trying to get the refrigerator over a month. When the refrigerator came in to lowes one of the service rep. Call me and said the refrigerator had dents would I accept for ten percent off I said no I didn't want a refrigerator with dents it's was on a Saturday . I called lowes three days later thought he had ordered me another refrigerator later on when I spoke with the manager he had not. Jeff the manager said he would Oder a refrigerator, when he order a refrigerator he said there was dents in the one he ordered. Then he order a refrigerator and was sent to me it was a black refrigerator not stainless steel. Whereas the wrong refrigerator was ordered. Finally Jeff said he had ordered the stainless steel refrigerator and it would be delivered on Thursday 4/20 delivere time would be 6pm to 9pm I waited and called the delivered company the rep. Kept saying the deliver men would be to my home to bring the refrigerator they never came. I called the delver company again the rep stated the would not be able to deliver last night. I called Jeff at the store he said the refrigerator was still in the warehouse . I said thought you said that it was going to be delivered today . Called the deliver company to day several times and they had no record of the refrigerator being delivered today. The manger on duty today he said it was to be delivered today. I have taken food out of my frigerator which I is iced to the top. Goof thawed out. I brougt food thinking I was get my refrigerator. I am kidney patient , I need the refrigerator to keep medicine . Paid for Lowe's to deliver and still sitting and waiting 2 days later. Was promised to have next day but that did not happen. Was promised to be first on delivery following day and guess what still waiting. Purchase $2300 worth of materials and was going to purchase another $5000 worth of material. Will go somewhere else because of lousy service. Spaetanburg sc store needs some Management. Never could get an approximate time of delivery. I lost work time and my contractor and help lost approximately 24 manhours sitting and waiting. Please respond with Lowe's comment on this sorry service to: joepeace@charter.net

To whom it may concern: LG Refrigerator Problem I purchased an LG Model #LSC27925ST, on 8/23/14, side by side Stainless Steel refrigerator through a Lowe's Store in Cape Coral, Florida. I also purchased a 5 year extended warranty contract through Lowe's. Before year end of 2015 the plastic liner in the inside wall of the freezer developed a crack (approx. 22inch) across the liner. We contacted Lowe's to have it repair, in which they referred us to Best Service of America ,Inc the technician stated that it was a cosmetic problem not covered by the warranty. We contacted Lowe's again they referred us to A & E Factory Service, after they cancelled 5 appointments, the technician finally showed up and again claimed it was cosmetic, it did not affect the freezer, therefore it was not covered. Now the crack is bigger and wider and we now have an ice build up from the crack running down to the bottom of the freezer.

If you are not satisfied with how a product hols up why do you balm the store rather than the manufacturer that built it? The store had nothing to do with how LG built the refrigerator. What aren't you complaining about LG?

Read the warranty. It will repair items that are a functional problem but you will find that cosmetic items (cracks, dents, parts that fall of but don't affect the cooling) are not covered. Always look at what you are paying for before you buy an extended warranty.

You were so worried about getting a stainless steel exterior that you failed to examine the hopelessly plastic interior. Duh.

You fell for the "extended warranty" scam. Every store sells these things for any and all appliances, electronics, etc.

They are only useful as a means of padding the bottom line of the retailer. Best to avoid them, as you now should realize.

I decided to shop the southgate Lowes for cellular window shades, after selecting (3) window shades I waited for them to be cut and employee walks away for a while and comes back to help someone else that just walked up. I let her know I was next and she ignored me. This woman has way to poor of attitude to be representing lowes. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available to speak with me. # disappointed customer

Resolved: Lowes - Flooring Installation Review from Palm Bay, Florida

Friday, March 24th, Lowes came out to estimate foor tile to be installed in kitchen. Here's where things went wrong: #1 went to pick out tile/materials on Saturday, March 25th. Was told couldn't until the estimate came in, and that be on Monday, March 27th  #2 Monday came and heard nothing , Tuesday came and heard nothing , Wednesday came and heard nothing, Thursday called to see what was going on #3 Told they were waiting for me to pick out tile.  Explained what happened. They they apologized and said they'd fix it  that I needed to come in and pick out the materials/tile #4 went in on that Friday, March 31st picked out supplies and paid on Lowes Credit Card.  They asked if the next Saturday, April 1, in the MORNING  was ok to drop supplies/materials off. I said yes.  Then, I was told installer would call to set up appt to install, and if I hadn't heard anything by that Following Tuesday, to call them.I said, "OK".  #5 Woke up at 730 am Saturday, April 1 waited until 11:30 am and hadn't heard anything. #6  I Called the store, and they asked if delivery had contacted me. I said,"No."They said they'd find out whats going on and call me back. They Called me back saying delivery hadn't left yet store yet. I said I had to reschedule then because I had errands to run. I also said if they messed up the reschedule, I'm done and want my money back. She said, "Ok", and she'd have delivery call me or she would call me.  I never heard back after that. So I left and ran errands. While on my way home from runnings errands, I called the store to see what was going on. I Had to leave a message with a male because the 2  females had been working  with since the first problem was at lunch.  #7 I Came home to find supplies and materials left in my  driveway. I Had to break it all down to carry it in since it was all on a pallet and too heavy.  #8 i waited until Tuesday, April 4th, as advised for installers to call to make appt.They never called. I called the store, and she she said installers should've called me. She said she'd see what was going on and call me back. I, then, explained how the materials were left on my driveway. She said she told delivery to do that because  I didn't answer my phone (lie from them, they never called me). She called me back, and said installer said my file was on their desk to be called and they'd go ahead and call since I called. They called and set up appt for Thursday, April 20th  #9 April 20th: install day, and hadn't heard anything. I got a phone call at 8:30 am because installers went to my old house after I told them in the store 3 times to change my address. #10 Installer said they gave us unsanded instead of sanded grout, and gave us a metal piece we didn't need.  #11 to add fuel to the fire, installer said this will be a 3 day job now because they told him we had floating hardwood instead of glued hardwood. #12 Installer called the store to tell them about the flooring, and they said that it's more money to take up the glued hardwood and they'd call me. He said he told them that wasn't a good idea because I'm upset already.  Installers will be returning for next 2 days to finish this job.

Has made a big mistake . First of all if l was a dead beat and didn't pay my bill l can understand this .

However always since l was a card holder since 2007 lve always paid my bill . The credit was lowered . And l called the center and someone named samatha told me that oh yes this was done just recently . And would be getting a letter .

As a *** man whom just recently purchased a new home they have lost my business and l will make sure to let my friends whom shop in oak lawn dallas Tx that Lowes doesn't want our business . Period !

Did you ever consider that purchasing that new home could affect your credit? With the new mortgage your total debt increased.

You are probably putting more of your income into your house payment therefore decreasing the amount you have to pay toward your other debt. What happened to your credit score when you purchased the new home?

Dig it go up or take a dip? Be willing to be it took a bit of a dip causing the change in credit limit.

Why is Lowes not giving discounts to all veterans? Facebook has an incident that sounds disgraceful. I will get all my fellow Veteran's to use Home Depot or any other competitor until the corporate rules are hanged. Perhaps like United Airlines there is a lesson to be taught here!

I wish vets would quit crying about not getting a discount. You should be thankful when one is offered but where do you get the idea that stores owe you a discount? It would be great to see vets thank the stores when they give a discount but trashing stores that don't offer a discount isn't honoring the good name of vets.

The reason I gave Lowes my fence business is because they install carpet for an apartment complex that I own. I never had a problem with the carpet contractors. So I hired Lowes for a fence install. They sent a contractor (Hollywood fence). in short they did a horrible job. I would never hire either company again. after waiting for 3 months for the installation. Part of the fence fell down. I then waited another 2 months for the reinstall. The fence is now reinstalled uneven and looks terrible. I will fix it myself at that point. if you choose to hire them, at least you've been warned. When you call the store they hand you over to the corporate office somewhere in North Carolina. No one from Lowes would come out to see the work. What a nightmare.

Lowes in Lumberton, North Carolina - The Worst Customer Service

I purchased a French door from Lowes on 11/16 and initially I let them know I was dissatisfied with the door and how it looked and it also leaks. When the installer came back out he even stated the door was warped and uneven. Four other installers came out, FOUR! They also said the door was warped and there wasn't anything they could so the job was left unconstitutional and Lowes blames us and will not do anything to help us solve the problem. I'm frustrated because I have been a loyal customer with Lowes for years and the top lock doesn't even lock completely. Corporate hasn't even attempted to help. I have tried to upload photos on here but it isn't working.
