Lowes in Amsterdam, New York - Rude Employee

My company usually conducts its business at the Utica NY store #0523. We have been contracted to complete several large projects in the Amsterdam area and have been utilizing store #1880 for most of our material needs. This stores customer service is by far the worst my company has ever experienced. On two (2) separate occasions, while needing assistance in the stores electrical department our company employees and I were carelessly ignored by the electrical dept. employee named "Sue" This Employee with the name "Sue" presented on her tag was aimlessly having a personal conversation with another Lowes employee. While three (3) of my Employees and I waited (While on the clock ) for assistance. the lowes electrical assistant remained engrossed in her conversation while disregarding my waiting, paid and very annoyed employees. After 20 Min of waiting, "Sue" walked past my employees and I to reset the "Special assistance needed in electrical button" and proceeded to inform us that she would be, "Right with us" returning to her very important conversation with another smiling employee. We promptly left the store leaving our items behind. our first encounter with this "Sue" On a previous occasion, while requiring assistance in the same electrical dept. we waited for someone to respond to the assistance button. After waiting a few moments, we proceeded to the Pro desk to request assistance. Low and behold, there was the Electrical dept. assistant having a personal conversation with another employee. (How do I know this conversation was personal? Because it took both of those employees several minutes to acknowledge us and we overheard their entire conversation.) We were told that she would be right there. After a 15 minute wait we approached this Sue once again, and were met with annoyance for interrupting her complaints to another employee. Your employee did follow us back to her dept but was not helpful to say the least. I assumed she was having a bad day, after all we all do sometimes, until the second encounter I realized that this employee was just a rude, ornery and unknowledgeable person. This poor service forced us to experience your competitor the Home Depot where we found the employees in their electrical dept, professional, courteous and very willing to help. I regret that after years of conducting business at lowes we will now spend our money at a more contractor friendly establishment.

Lowes - Ordered Product Not Delivered

I have been a long time customer of Lowes and have made many purchases from Lowes including appliances, and the windows and doors for my house. I am not sure I will do business with Lowes in the future. I ordered a range online and was guaranteed it would arrive at store number 0461 (Baton Rouge) on May 2, 2017. On May 3rd I went to the store to pick it up. Upon speaking with the customer service rep at the counter I was told I would have to wait a few minutes, which I considered reasonable. After an extended period of time I was told that my purchase had not arrived. When I asked when it might arrive I overheard an employee tell the customer service rep that the store manager had pushed all appliance deliveries back two weeks. I asked if Lowes would contact me when the item came in. The customer rep said I would have to speak to the manager who she would summon. After an ridiculously extended wait I finally was able to speak to an individual who's name tag indicated "Service Manager". He looked at the computer and told me "it hasn't come in yet". I told him I was aware of that and asked when could I expect it to come in. He mumbled that if they had another appliance truck come in soon it could possibly be the first part of next week. At that point it was obvious to me that at least this Lowes store and employee didn't give a hoot about me as a customer so I requested and received a refund. I will have to think long and hard about doing business with Lowe's on major items in the future.

Lowes in Lynnwood, Washington - Screwed up appliance delivery with no notice to customer

Purchased a clothes washer and gas dryer for original delivery date of Saturday, April 22, 2017. Called several days prior to push out delivery. I was given a new delivery date of Wednesday, May 3. On the original delivery date of April 22 I get a call from a guy advising me he was delivering my order. I told him it was rescheduled to Wednesday May 3. After waiting around all morning, I call the store on Wednesday May 3 to verify I am on the delivery schedule. I was told I was NOT and that their record shows that I am scheduled for delivery on Monday, May 8. So someone at the store rescheduled me for a new delivery date and neglected to inform me. This is the Lynnwood, WA store. Apparently they have a terrible communication problem not only between their employees and worst of all with their customers. I am not a happy Lowe's customer and will definitely remember this in deciding where to make my next purchases.

Lowes - Luxery Vinyl Flooring installed now full of bubbles.

Called installer they came looked it over said nothing they could do, never seen this before. Must register complaint with store. OK go to store register complaint this was a Saturday, was told must call the corp, office on Monday. Ok registered complaint also sent pictures. I hear NOTHING, so I call & email person who I sent picture too. Was to 4 - 6 weeks before I hear from manufacture. 4 weeks in go back to store demand to speak to manager "JIM" he will look into this BLAH BLAH Still nothing heard. Now 5 weeks in & still nothing from "ANYONE". Why does the manufacture have to contact me, I went through Lowes for the purchase & install, Lowes should stand behind the product & make it right. Very pissed off, disappointed tired of run around. My warranty will be up in 4 mths now. Blame the installer, blame the manufacture etc... that's all I get. I called the credit card carrier & disputed charges too & of course that can take 60 days until they follow up with Lowes as well. I also had carpet installed at same time as the Vinyl flooring so I had made a huge purchase. What can I do from here. Considering an attorney, Get Marty at KDKA, Better Business .

Lowes in Las Vegas, Nevada - Door installation

I went to the Lowe’s store in Summerlin Nevada and explained clearly to the doors seller person that I needed a door on the second floor to the balcony with 2 purposes: (1) to get some fresh air and (2) the door can stop the bugs from getting in the house. The seller said the security door design that I chose would do the job. I had it installed, but there are some really big gaps at the bottom of the door. This is really a sloppy job by the installer not measuring it properly as compared to two other security doors that I had installed in our house. I talked to the Installation Department at Lowe’s and the manager there had an attitude and told me that the door was mine after the installation and she could do nothing about it. One of the sellers at Lowe’s suggested me to buy the door seals at Home Depot. I went to Home Depot to ask if they sold any door seals that could cover those big gaps. They showed me the door seals which Lowe’s doesn’t sell. I talked to the manager at Lowe’s again and she said she could not have the installer to come back installing whatever Lowe’s doesn’t sell. The Doors Department at Lowe’s was willing to sell me a storm door to replace to security door, but the manager of the Installation Department refused to replace the door. Even though I was willing to pay the price difference between the storm door and the security door, in addition to the installation. The Installation Department Manager continued with the same attitude and refused to work with me to fix this problem!

Lowes - Mistake in delivery, customer service, double payment

Here is more details. 2016 December We were replacing all our appliances. We went to Lowe's store in Dale City Virginia, order the appliances we liked (Microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher) we paid for it same day few thousands. Delivery was scheduled few days later, without dishwasher they said " very popular model they have to order from manufacturer we were Okay with date Feb.22 almost 2 months. And day before delivery some body and confirmed. We were expecting delivery of microwave and refrigerator but only refrigerator come out truck they did not have microwave. Delivery driver told me "I should get in touch with store." I called the store, (here we started) the person who answer the phone did not mention it was Lowe's Store, and she was talking like I just wake her up.(of course this how I felt, it was only my opinion I could be wrong but??????) after listen my problem she put me on HOLD maybe 10 min. and some other person came on line asked phone number first could not find my order put on HOLD again maybe 10 min. more and came back told me that micro- wave was their and they forgot to put in truck. I said to myself " go pick it up." They after not next they I went to store to get my microwave after waiting about 15 to 20 minutes they could not find the micro. I said " I talked with some one micro. was there and forgot to load on." They told me wait little and went funded Manager and talked to him he was sorry but micro. never arrived to store. I end up complaining to him. He said he was sorry but NO result, when micro. arrives they would call us. This unsolved prob- lem take few days and least 4 to 5 phone calls and stay on hold for few hours. Next problem, about week or 10 days pasted some body calls us left some massage on phone from Lowe's (before Feb 22) we called back person said "why we were waiting till Feb.22 they had micro and dishwasher in store, they want to schedule delivery for us." We said " great " here we schedule for 5 or 6 days later but day before delivery some one called they said they do not have the products. I wanted to talk with person, who called and we schedule date. Was not there. Again put me on hold few times and few diff- rent person finally I end up meeting on the phone store manager that is how he introduce him self. I had to explained my self again. He started saying, or explain things to me, we were having some kind of talk between us and HE CALLS ME " BUDDY " Buddy is not a bad word, but while I was talking with him (about 10-15 minutes) with his words and way he was carrying conversation made feel un- comfortable. Because of my accent he started talking to little foreigner guy. I felt that is why he called me BUDDY, I WAS NOT. And problem was not solved they were going to call me. Same they I complain some lady called us and she was really understanding and nice which is I really appreciate. Few days later I received phone call Micro. was arrived I decided to go pick it up myself. Went to store they had hard time finding the micro. Waiting 20 minutes or so some came micro was not there I had enough disgusted, frustrated I want to get my money back but I really want my product I asked for manager but he was not there manager on duty was front end/customer service manager have to handle the problem. Some how micro. was there some corner they fund it, and I learned dishwasher (that model) was discontinuous I wonder how much longer I would wait it. And she offer me replacing the dishwasher with different one (better one). Last problem my wife stop by and pay the bill in same store from her debit/checking account, some how cashier made mistake charged twice that is in my bank statement but Lowe's credit department says there is only one payment was made ($42.28) now I am running around to correct this problem. Of course many phone calls, put on holds, few different person. Very tiring, and discussed solved the problem. (wait and see this is the advice they give me.) I still shop in the Lowe's bought other refrigerator but more careful. I am still hoping it will get better. with the date.

he added that they would call me the next Monday to set up a date when the carpet would be installed. Since then I have called four times, every time they changed the date when the carpet arrived at the store, first it was Saturday, then Monday, and Tuesday... last call the woman who answered the call said she will call the installers so they would call me the same day. That was on the 26th. On May 1st, today I have left a message in Lowe's voice mail, three hours ago and have not heard anything yet. I have told them I was not going to shop at Lowes anymore, so maybe that is the reason they are plying games with me?

I have been waiting for 6 months for them to replace a carpet that was poorly installed. They keep coming up with excuses that lead to more and more delays.

I had purchased three keys for my home, get home and none worked so I brought them back and they cut me three new ones, get home they didn't work, bring them back and this time asked for the manger so we get to make a third set to find out there key machine is not up to par, so I finally had enough and said I'm done I will take my key to home depot, I got no response just a look from the manger and the worker like sorry about your luck and go get your refund, well I will never be shopping at Lowes again, went to Home Depot the lady was so nice and new her business got the right keys made up came home and they worked the first time, So as we remodel are kitchen we will be getting are appliances at the home depot and all other supply's due to the lack of customer service and the bad attitudes!

Seems like you would have looked at the keys when you went back the 2nd time to see if they lined up with your original. You need to take part of the blame for the 3rd trip.

Had made a special order for a window which took two weeks to come! The window came in broke and dirty and a piece missing. My husband is a contractor this delayed his job. He reorder the window the manager said he would take care of the problem. Went back the next week same problem the window was cracked! The manager never handle the problem! My husband was very upset! He saided that Lowes will not get his business like I saided he's a contractor and your company is going to lose customers! Someone needs to talk to the day manager at the Easton,PA Lowes the customer service there sucks!!! I'm going to get in touch with corporate office about the situation

I stopped at Lowes in Harrisburg, Pa. after running several other errands. I have health issues that cause exhaustion with even a mild amount of exertion so i was very tired but wanted to finish my last stop at Lowes to pick up the items i needed. There was not one cart available in the front of the store where carts are generally kept as they were scattered all over the parking lot. So I asked 2 employees standing in the checkout area to please find a cart for me to use so i could shop. The one told me I should "go out in the parking lot and find one because they are all out there". The second fellow added that my other option was to "walk around the store and see if there were any sitting around that weren't being used". At that point randomly walking around looking for a cart wasn't even an option and I really wanted to find the items I came for. I asked the first fellow to find one for me but his only interest was getting rid of me. And he may have succeeded. Because the next time I need something for my home I just may go elsewhere. There are plenty of places to buy the items that Lowes sells! Oh another customer removed her items from the cart she was using and gave it to me!

How many carts did you walk by in the parking lot on your way into the store? I always grab a cart in the parking lot and take it in with me.

When I read the OP's complaint, I gather that there were 2 cashiers at the front of the store.

Then the OP asked both cashiers to find a cart for him/her.

That would mean that there would have been no cashiers at the front of the store.

I hope the OP realizes that 1) someone could have complained about the fact that there were no cashiers at the front of the store; 2) store management may require the someone always be at the front no matter how slow it is or 3) someone could have easily walked out the store without paying for their purchase.

I realize that the OP considers what the cashiers did was poor customer service, but store management would not want any of the above to happen.

So the OP should just complain to Corporate Headquarters about this.

Cashiers in most any store you go to are expected to be at their registers to check out customers and keep people from leaving the store without paying for their products, as such they aren't allowed to go outside or walk around the store looking for carts for you. Unfortunately on busy days this cart situation can happen no matter where you shop. If you have a heath problem that makes it so difficult to get around a store you should talk to your doctor about getting a scooter to get around.
