Lowes - Poor customer service!

I stopped at Lowes in Harrisburg, Pa. after running several other errands. I have health issues that cause exhaustion with even a mild amount of exertion so i was very tired but wanted to finish my last stop at Lowes to pick up the items i needed. There was not one cart available in the front of the store where carts are generally kept as they were scattered all over the parking lot. So I asked 2 employees standing in the checkout area to please find a cart for me to use so i could shop. The one told me I should "go out in the parking lot and find one because they are all out there". The second fellow added that my other option was to "walk around the store and see if there were any sitting around that weren't being used". At that point randomly walking around looking for a cart wasn't even an option and I really wanted to find the items I came for. I asked the first fellow to find one for me but his only interest was getting rid of me. And he may have succeeded. Because the next time I need something for my home I just may go elsewhere. There are plenty of places to buy the items that Lowes sells! Oh another customer removed her items from the cart she was using and gave it to me!

How many carts did you walk by in the parking lot on your way into the store? I always grab a cart in the parking lot and take it in with me.

When I read the OP's complaint, I gather that there were 2 cashiers at the front of the store.

Then the OP asked both cashiers to find a cart for him/her.

That would mean that there would have been no cashiers at the front of the store.

I hope the OP realizes that 1) someone could have complained about the fact that there were no cashiers at the front of the store; 2) store management may require the someone always be at the front no matter how slow it is or 3) someone could have easily walked out the store without paying for their purchase.

I realize that the OP considers what the cashiers did was poor customer service, but store management would not want any of the above to happen.

So the OP should just complain to Corporate Headquarters about this.

Cashiers in most any store you go to are expected to be at their registers to check out customers and keep people from leaving the store without paying for their products, as such they aren't allowed to go outside or walk around the store looking for carts for you. Unfortunately on busy days this cart situation can happen no matter where you shop. If you have a heath problem that makes it so difficult to get around a store you should talk to your doctor about getting a scooter to get around.

Lowes - In stock overnight delivery turned into out of stock 1 week and counting delivery

Purchased my items before noon on a Tuesday for a Sunday install. I paid the $50 overnight shipping to get items on Wednesday so I had time to inspect and prep them. Wednesday - no items and no shipping email. Call "customer care" on Thursday morning - items haven't even been processed yet. I specifically told the rep that I needed them Sunday for the install - I was told they would be to me by Friday. I said, well you are two days late, refund my $50 overnight shipping. Agent did that and assured me items would go out that day overnight shipping. Finally go my shipping email later in the day - with a ship date of Friday for half the order (the other half is now not in stock). The estimated arrival is now Tuesday next week for half the order via standard delivery. I call "customer care" at dinnertime Thursday and to ask what is going on. "Customer care" says I originally selected standard delivery. I said absolutely not - I paid $50 shipping for express. I made them pull the invoice - now they said I changed the shipping. I said absolutely not! Next answer, items were coming from Florida (I'm in NY) and items were too far away for overnight shipping. They said they will contact the store to see if they can drop it off at FedEX with overnight shipping since they missed the pickup. The store did. I get the revised shipping email on Friday - yep they got it out standard shipping - estimated earliest arrival Tuesday. In summary: 1) Ordered items on Tuesday with expedited shipping for a Sunday job. Estimated delivery date Wednesday. 2) Saturday - not one item made it. New estimated estimated delivery for Tuesday. 3) Half of the order hasn't even shipped yet! 4) Can't cancel the order since it is in progress. I will have to return when it arrives. 5) Charge is made to my company credit card (with payment holds for unshipped merchandise). 6) I know have to run around to 3 towns to grab one here and one there from other competitors. SO SAD - INVENTORY MANAGEMENT NOT ACCURATE, CANNOT FILL SHIPPING ESTIMATES BUT HAPPY TO TAKE EXTRA MONEY ANYWAY, CUSTOMER SERVICE INCOMPETENT AT BEST, LIARS AT WORST.

Kudos to local store management for offering a similar product for a price, while not as low as originally, still a substantial discount. Boos to corporate who really could not care less about the situation,

Local store offered Porter Cable impact driver for 75% off, web page notes 1 in stock. After placing the order, was called by the store and informed that the item was unavailable and the order was cancelled. Called Lowe's 1-800-MY Lowes and was informed that the records actually showed the store had 2 in stock. She called the store and told them to look everywhere for those 2 units. Received another call from local store, no item. Asked for a equivalent product for same price as a reasonable fulfillment of my order. Store Manager refused. Called Lowe's "Customer Care" line, same deal. No joy. Finally registered complaint with state AG, we'll see if that does any good.

Lowes - DANVILLE VA. TRIED TO BUY A 1500.00 GIFT CARD with a check.

It was denied - got on cell and called bank. 4770.00 in checking.

Asked for reason and got denied is all we know. After 45 minutes in customer service I told them that home Depot probably had what I needed.

HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE ! ORDERED A STORAGE SHED, RECEIVED ORDER CONFIRMATION . THE NEXT MORNING WENT TO LOWES AND BOUGHT ALL THE MATERIAL NEEDED FOR THE BASE ,CAME HOME AND MY WIFE SAID MY ORDER HAD BEEN CANCELLED! I HAD BEEN TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO SHEDS AVAILABLE IN THE SHIPPING AREA ! THERE HAD BEEN WHEN I ORDERED , AND HAD PAID 79 DOLLARS FOR DELIVERY ! CONTACTED LOWES ORDER DEPARTMENT WHICH HAPPENS TO BE IN WASHINGTON ! WAS GIVEN THE TYPICAL BS AND RUN AROUND FOR FOUR DAYS ! THERE HAD BEEN I SHED IN 6 SHEDS IN ONTARIO BUT WOULD NOT SHIP TO ME OR THE BARRIE STORE ! WILL NEVER BUY FROM LOWES AGAIN .

Lowes - I was ignored

I walk with a cane. I wanted to purchase a Shepard Hook (84") I parked as close as I could to the entrance to the Garden Shop area. As I entered a worker from the garden dept. was asking a customer who was leaving if he needed help.. The outgoing customer said, 'No I can manage.' With that I Said to the employee, 'I could use a hand. I want to get a Shepard Hook and they are at the back of the shop'. He said 'OK'. I walked all the way back to where the hooks were and found that there was no one following me. With difficulty I managed to get the hook off the rack, checked out and to my car. I never did see 'My Helper'. I guess it was his coffee break time It would have been better if he had told me in the beginning to go take a hike. At least that is better than on Wednesday when I went in to buy a few items and when I wanted to find wood dowels I couldn't even find a sales person to ask were they were located! And Lowes used to be such a pleasure to shop at! Robert J. Tabit

I ordered a refrigerator online 4/24 - 4/25, I believe it was around midnight so counts as 4/25. When I ordered it, it gave me a delivery date of 4/25 (only reason why I ordered it) because my tenant who rents my house needed a refrigerator ASAP because hers broke Saturday evening and she needed a refrigerator especially for her 9 month old baby's milk. They called and said sorry they could not deliver 4/25 sometimes the Internet gives info that is incorrect,  fine things happen.  They promised me a delivery date of 4/26 so I told my tenant again and she took off work again.  No one called or showed up. We called the your customer service line who said they were running behind that it was on the truck it would be there before 8pm. Before I called customer service my tenant and my self called the store directly and they said they called "our" numbers my tenant and my self and no one answered( I never received a call and my tenant said she didn't either ) but they were still going to deliver.  8 comes around no one comes or calls. We call back, says they are still one there way. 9:30 I get a call saying they went to the residents and knocked and no one answered? ?? Well my tenant was there all day and we have made several calls throughout the day,  waiting and no one called or knocked on the door?? So I called a manager again this time (Darren) before it was (Jerry) and several other employees plus their customer service line, he said he didn't know what happened that he was going to question the driver, and he was going to put the refrigerator on the truck first thing in the morning. So I told my tenant,  who called off of work for the 3rd day. Now today 4/27 no one has came or called. So we called to make sure our refrigerator was on its way,  they said (the store employee) that it was reschedule to be delivered on Saturday the 4/29!!!!!!! What is wrong with this company??  So again I had to call the store and talk to a manager this time( Kim ) he said the computer says a delivery date of tomorrow 4/28!!! First thing first, I got two different people within minutes of each other giving me a different date. Now it's not even being delivered again? ??? Kim said he doesn't know what's going on only what the computer says but that he "promises" it will be on the truck tomorrow morning.  We'll at this point their promises are bogus,  I don't even know if I should belive him. Plus this means my tenant will have to loss another day of work!!!. No one seems to know what they are doing, poor customer service, I'm almost at the point of canceling my order!!! I will never order from lowes again!!                                                                                                              Sent on the new Sprint Network from my Samsung Galaxy S®4.

Ordered a new dishwasher online because it said I woul recieve that product within 24 hrs. Since it was 10 45 pm on 4/24/17 i didnt expect anything that next day 4/25/17, on the morning of 4/26 I recieved an email stating my delivery was scheduled for 4/29/17. I immediately called Lowes Customer service and was promised it would be delivered on 4/26/17 Even recieved a new email stating the new delivery date. It said 2 hr delivery notification ok looking further down the page it said between 7am and 9pm which is 14hrs. At approx. 2 pm i called the c7stomer service dept. Again to check and was informed by a recorded messsge that my delivery was set up for 4/27/17. I waited on hold to speak to a live person for 10 min. Just to be told that there was nothing they could do and I had to wait for the delivery. I informed them that I expected delivery of the dishwasher on the day it was promised online and that I had cleared my schedule for that day and was completely booked the rest of the week and was not avail. the csr just stuck ti her story that nothing else could be done. I informed them that there was another alternative to it and gave two other solutions one they could hire a private courier to deliver it or I was willing to drive to the distributioncenter and pick it up she said that those wrre against policy and were not allowed that I just needed to wait for them to deliver it. At that point I had another option and used it.I cancelled the order.I will NEVER buy anything at Lowes again!

lowe's store in Clay N,Y, very poor customer service and even poorer management customer service, they are driving all the top employees out of the store for better jobs and replacing them with part time people that don't no anything or don't even care to help a customer, I will no longer shop this store until the store manager and the rest of upper management are replaced,the final straw was with a manager named Todd the guy is not only rude but dumb thank you lowes for running a good store and thank you for letting me spend my money now at home depot.

Lowes is not the place to buy Appliance

2 years ago I purchased a Washer, Drier, Stove top, and Dishwasher. All modern equipment all brand name. The washer was the first to go with only 3 months of use. It was under warrenty and it was fixed only to breakdown 6 months later for the same reason. lowes fixed it again. That lasted only 8 months but then lowes said the warranty expired. Then the stove top broke down with only one year of use lowes said the warranty was only for one year. The dishwasher and dryer broke down 2 years after lowe's said the warranties are expired. I am never buying anything domestic appliances from them again the total cost was around 3,000.00 they all break down I am still paying it and nothing works properly any more. the only thing working properly is my 22 year old refrigerator which I did not buy at lowes.

Why are you blaming Lowes? It is the manufacturer that stands behind their product with a warranty.

Most manufacturers of appliances cover them with a 1 year repair warranty. The manufacturer repaired the defects that occurred within that 1 year period. Why do you think Lowes is responsible for the appliances after the manufactures warranty expired? I can pretty well guarantee that they offered you the opportunity to purchase an extended service plan when you purchased the appliances.

If you had sent in your warranty cards the manufacturer more than likely offered you a chance to buy a service plan from them as well.

You got exactly the warranty coverage you were willing to pay for. Don't blame the retailer for your expecting more than you paid for.

Why would you blame them for building *** appliances so you can save a couple of bucks over a good appliance? Blame the company that made the *** things and stop blaming the "retailers".

The washer is one of your appliances you could win a Small Claims Court judgement for refund or replacement . It broke down twice with the same issue and was never repaired correctly within the warranty period.
