My daughter and her fiancé came up after Christmas. Gave me a Kobalt wrench set for Christmas. I already had one of the type and went down to exchange it for one I needed and didn’t have. Because I didn’t have the receipt I was unable to exchange it for what I wanted and needed. I had planned on spending almost another $50-60 for other tools needed, but because they refused to let me return the gift they lost a sale and farther sales. I’ll take my business now to Home Depot and do all I can to cost Lowe’s they customers. For Heavens sake, it was a Christmas gift, who gives receipts. An unopened package.

Some items require receipts. Chill out.

Home Depot has the same policies on certain items. But I guess we will just wait until HD does something reasonable to *** you off and launch you into another tantrum, after which you will return to Lowe's and still have the audacity to act like you're worth anything to people who make barely above minimum wage.

I take it you have never heard of a gift receipt. Unfortunately due to theft many retail stores are tightening their return polices and receipts are being required more often than in the past. Ask you daughter if she still has the receipt.

Received an apology phone call and after a couple of weeks, they finally pushed back their delivery date instead of misleading people into thinking they’ll have the item within a week. Too little, too late for me, but hopefully customers going forward will benefit.

I do not recommend Lowes for any installation

I paid over 5,000 dollars for about 500 square feet of laminate flooring and tile work. After we got it put in out home the contractor came about 2 weeks later. The installer was rude and found every excuses not to do or delay the project. First he stated that the floor was not level and when I got home the contract stated 1/2 inch but when I did it was 1/8 inch off in which the contactor stated if it not level then no warranty on the project or if they level it then no warranty. They want us to get a sub contactor to level the floor before the project start again. I call another contactor and they said don't worry about it a floating floor should be able to be installed. Then it was that he had to sand a 10' by 7' spot to get some mortar off the floor which would add $150 to the price. When Lowes management called me the installation issues all they were informed of was the sanding and not the leveling issue because the contactor never told them anything about it and possibly no warranty after the project is done. I am going to cancel the installation and go with an actual flooring store and preparing my self of going through arbitration. The installer was rude and after he left tacking strips for the rug still behind so if we walk and forget about it they would go through our feet, did not even bother telling us that he left for the day and leaving the open behind him. I will never get anything installed by lowes ever again. I believe why the contactor stated no warranty over and over again because it gives them an excess no to fix the floor if it comes apart.

Disappointed

Bought an electric range today at the riverview location. I was asked if I wanted the old range taken out and then asked if I wanted it installed. I said yes. I got a call to confirm delivery. They said they could leave the appliance in garage! What! I called and the person acted as if should have known I had to call another company to have it delivered. I cannot even tell you how upset I would be if they dropped it off and left. I had to cancel order.

They dont tell you a lot of things upfront that you should expect during and after your order. #1 after my order I found out from the confirmation that I wouldnt receive my order for a couple weeks and not a couple days which is what it said when I ordered it. #2 they sent me the wrong size and said it was my fault and then charged me substantially more for the replacement. I didnt really have much choice at this point since I needed matching blinds and I wouldnt be allowed to return them either. The warranty is misleading the way it reads that you could exchange them even if I measured wrong which I didnt but I would think this would take care of any disagreement. But when you dig down in the fine print...ah there it is. You have to pay the difference in the NEW sales price. Every time I have a problem with some company I end up looking up reviews after the fact and wish I had done so before. So hopefully youre reading this review before youre thinking of buying from these crooks. Because when you call custom service the representatives are about as rude as a bill collector and you will hang up feeling more upset than when you picked up the phone to call them. Trust me go somewhere else. Most major brands will replace your blinds no questions asked. I used budget blinds last time and was very happy with them. I only went to Lowes to save a buck. So much for that idea.

JD! Food for thought: Folks with poor people skills or bad attitudes should not be in a position that requires interfacing with the public. For the general public, the store management is the face of the corporate inanity and reflects the integrity of the organization.style=" There is one individual at the Lowes store on Bowman in Little Rock that simply must go. JD - hope your reading this! His attitude toward the public is the worst I have experienced anywhere. He is defensive he insists on arguing with the customers even if hes wrong and I mean factually wrong, ignorant of the products in the store and there application and apparently does not make an effort to know what inventory is available or the cost of such. If he is this bad with customers I cannot imagine what it must be like to work under him at that store. That may explain why employee turn over is so high at that store. Do not know his name, but his name tag has a big JD on it.

Oh for crying out loud GROW UP. Just because someone tells you that you are in the wrong, or that the customer is in the wrong does not mean that they work for the company.

This is a site for adults who have major complaints and concerns with companies, not for kids like you who ASSume that because someone is told that they are wrong that the person telling them works for the company. Mommy needs to take away your internet little kid and give you a good slap across the face for lying. He is right, the OP did not state what happened.

Bad service-sells item to you and says they have it in stock,pay and schedule delivery. Wait all day on delivery day no show. call store and they don't have record of purchase. I show cash register receipt and they say n record.. I went and found sales person who sold it to me and he found record. Was told the dryer would be 3 or more weeks away. I complained to day manager and he said it was not Lowes problem they use an outside company to fill orders and they have no control. WAIT you take my money for product and fail to deliver-it is your problem.

The change filter light on my LG side by side refregerator would not go out.

I have a Lowe's 3 year protection plus plan. I called them and they gave me a number to a repair shop. The shop came out and said they had to order a new panel. After two months and not hearing anything, I called Lowes and was told that the light wasn't covered!! Why didn't you tell me that two months ago! I ask for a suggestion. I was told to get a calendar!

Put a tiny square of black tape over the light. There's always some bizarre push-this-button-twice-while-holding-the-other-one-down ...

or some sort of motherboard nonsense. You're right - it is based upon time passed not volume used ; your calendar would do just fine if your usage is consistent.

Don't forget - with water dispensers and ice makers - the water lines become moldy quickly. Don't forget to keep an eye on them as well.

This is my personal and unique opinion of Lowes Home Centers, LLC 350 Diedrich Boulevard Ashland, KY 41101 also known as Store Number 1123. This opinion was formed based on my recent personal experience with Lowes.

On November 16, 2019, I purchased an LG WHT WT7300CW washer, MED663HW dryer and XHPC155XW dryer stand from Lowes.

When the salesperson rang up the sale, the total was $400 more than the advertised price. We had shopped the features and benefits of similar units and made our final selection based on the value of the advertised price displayed on the Lowes price card for each item.

The Lowes salesperson said not to worry, and that the price would be adjusted as promised using a mail-in rebate which would give us $400 in Visa Prepaid Cards. On November 18, 2019, we mailed our Lowes receipt and rebate forms as instructed and patiently waited the 8 weeks of processing time. By mid-January 2020, the promised $400 in Visa Prepaid Cards had not arrived.

In an attempt to resolve the situation, we visited the store twice. Lowes customer service couldnt find any registration of our rebate. Eventually we found a customer service staffer that directed us to contact the Lowes Rebate Center directly at (877) 204-****. The Lowes Rebate Center informed us that there wasnt a valid rebate offer for the items we purchased and that we would not be receiving the $400 in Visa Prepaid Cards.

On 2.14.2020 The new Lowes Store Manager Tracey told me that the former store manager and ½ of his staff in Appliances were terminated for similar complaints, but there wasnt anything she could do because it happened before she was assigned to that store.

In my opinion, Lowe's lied to me to sell appliances at a price $400 higher than I was willing to pay.

Knowing that Lowes staff had used this ploy to sell appliances is simply appalling. In my opinion, knowing that Lowes terminated the store manager and key employees for doing this to other customers is shocking, but honorable. However, in my opinion, knowing that Lowes wont make it right with their customers makes them complicit.

Lowes is no longer the friendly do-right retailer that Lucius Lowe founded. It is my opinion that their actions are unconscionable and possibly illegal.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! And by giving my truthful and honest opinion on this consumer complaint site, I hope to help Lowes improve its honesty, transparency, integrity and services in the future of dealing with me and its other customers.

Lowes delivered the wrong amount of flooring and charged me installation for it. Then they delivered the right amount of flooring and charged me (the additional installation charges) for that.

I returned the erroneous delivery and was credited for materials but have never been credited for the installation - which was never done.

I tried disputing the charges on my credit card after talking and talking to the store. Then I reached out to Lowes corporate customer service when it was not credited on my credit card, which has also gotten me nowhere in over 4 months despite my diligence, patience, and trying to work things out amicably.

I made an order online order and the delivery date on the order was originally 3/8/2020 10a-10p. We left our whole day open yesterday anticipating on getting this delivery. I called today and it takes forever to get someone on the phone to talk to. When I do get someone, its almost like oh well you will have to accept the next available date. I am LIVID because no one was courteous enough to call us to let us know we were not receiving our merchandise yesterday on 3/8/2020. In my mind, it shouldve been on the truck for the first delivery today 3/9/2020. Its 1246 and I shouldnt have to call a company to see when I will receive a delivery that was scheduled for the day before. I spoke with someone on today and she did set an appointment for 3/10/2020, but like I told her, for one that day is my anniversary and I will be very busy, and two why am I doing all the accommodating, its not my fault that it wasnt delivered on the day as promised. The store that ls providing the delivery is not very accommodating. At this point after this order, I dont plan on doing business with Lowes again!!

Could be a number of reasons for yesterday's non-delivery---someone didn't show up for work or the merchandise didn't. They gave you a new delivery date of 3-10.

If they don't deliver then, you need to just cancel the order and buy whatever it is consists of from some other store. If you don't see a reversal of the charge on your charge card after 3-5 days, just dispute it, etc.

Some items are limited and are no longer on sale online and in store so duplicating an order in my case would be impossible. Was hopping for helpful information. Note that with the current state of emergency our country is facing that a lot of things maybe delayed.

If you are wondering what was charged to your account over 90 days ago, why have you waited so long to inquire. If you are just looking for a receipt they aren't responsible for keeping track of your receipts.

Visited our local store to purchase around $8000 on Pella windows and doors. After stating they would call me and e-mail me back I returned after 5 days to see why they didn't. They say they have no record of my request. What *** I said I was going to another local lumber yard. Their response, OK BUD!!

Seriously upset and concerned

You guys are beyond despicable. We are in the middle of a pandemic and you run a huge door buster sale. I feel so bad for your employees. As well as anyone who shops there. Stop worrying about your shareholders and do the right thing. I used to hate home depot, but they are at least limiting customers at one tine. I think thats where we will be taking are future business. We just bought a house that needs alot of work. I would rather give my business to someone who cares about its employees and general public

If you really wanted to help you'd shut down the store so people have no place to congregate and take only online and phone orders for critical items, just like other retailers are doing. Not ALL items in ALL departments at Lowes are life sustaining. STOP creating a situation for the people who cannot fing understand what a 100 year event..a Pandemic means.

It does not mean go to the home improvement store and hang out. Plesse put public health and safety and that of your employees before profit.
