Try never seeing your wife or kids for weeks

Marvin, stocks down another 5% today, thanks. How are you going to get angry customers back now that the experience associates are gone because made their lives miserable? They are gone for good. Do you work the same shifts as associates never seeing the wife and kids for weeks? Do you think a 25 cent raise is great? You will soon be gone too.

Why aren't you seeing the wife and kids for 2 weeks? We all know it's getting harder to find someone to help you at Lowes so I doubt they have people working open to close 7 days a week. If the job is so bad that you spend your time off in a bar it may well be time to look for another job.

So I am a liar? Never heard any complaints about associate's schedule, you dim wit?

You stupid *** when I work until 11 I seldom see my family, duh. Then scheduled to work 3 weekends, you idiot. Home one weekday at a time, when others are working, you moron. Are you really this stupid?

Obviously you are management material.

I did quit. Best day of my life.

The whole stock market is down due to the virus. You can't blame the drop on anything Lowes is doing.

If they are so bad you should be looking for a job elsewhere rather than spending time tracking their stock price.

After reading other peoples stories, I wish I would have went else where with my business. Not sure it is lowes or synchrony bank. But they do not work with their customers at all. Their goal is to get as much money out of you no matter what. Cant ever talk to a real person. Every time i try to login into my acct. Im locked out. And no matter what there is nothing they can do to help you even thou you followed their procedure and submitted problem in writing. Which they say they never got. So everything is always the customers fault. Honestly dont know how they can do business this way. I will never spend another dime at Lowes!!

For every complaint you see about Lowes there is another person complaining about Home Depot. Why are you suggesting you run to them?

Both Lowes and Home Depot are companies that support the Republican Party, but Home Depot supports the far right-wing of the Republican Party while Lowes is more moderate. That may explain why they are bashing one compared to the other.

Everything is not about politics! The reason I said go to Home Depot is because they are right across the street from one another and if you have to choose between one or the other go to Home Depot!

We tried to order a sale item shop/garage item which sale was expiring on 1/31 so 4 days of having it ordered and shipped however order was canceled 3 times last minute. we moved half our garage waiting our delivery tomorrow paying help to top it off. so we had to call ourselves tonight to find out its not coming again! So we will have to go elsewhere to purchase same item. After days of being strung along. This last order went through customer care headquarters to top it off unbelievable. Well all is said and done with all they're delivery fees and such we just ordered from Home Depot comes out to be same price with free and next day delivery. How do they stay in business not my first issue with them had a couple hassles with customers of mine ordering 10,000 worth of decking material . Now I have to discourage customers from dealing with them.

My husband and I are reasonable people and don’t like to complain, but with that being said we are very dissatisfied with how the Riverton Utah Lowe’s has handled our whole situation. We went in this last Labor Day to order carpet as we knew they had some good deals. We worked with a guy whose name we will not write for privacy and respect of him. He was very nice upfront. He set up a appointment to get us a quote. We asked him if they would be able to get our carpet installed the first week of October as we are having a baby in the middle of October. His response would convince us to either buy carpet from them or go somewhere else. He said “We aren’t that busy so I don’t see why not. It takes about one to two weeks after the carpet has been delivered to get it scheduled and installed. So that would put you at the 4th of October.” So obviously with the time crunch at hand it was an easy decision and we didn’t feel like we had to go anywhere else. Fast forward a week, we get our quote back and we go in to talk to this associate about placing our order. Once he found out we were going to be financing and getting a Lowe’s card, he was all on board and making sure we only work with him. So I’m not sure what kind of commission he gets from that. Anyway, as we were placing our order he said the carpet should be at the manufacturer on September 30th. Then a week or two for scheduling and installing. We were very confused because that’s not what he told us the first time. I said well how long does it take to get installed after he carpet is in. He said “About 7 days since we aren’t that busy.”. So that pushed us off again to the 8-10th. So we still went ahead with the order since we are so short on time and due with our baby between the 15-19th. We just needed to get this done. We didn’t even look around at other places because of the promises that we were made. Fast forward another week. They called us and said “Good news your carpet got to us earlier then planned. We will get you on the schedule for the 15th and 16th of October.”. My husband asked if there was any chance to get it installed sooner and they said, “No, there isn’t because it is a big project and we prioritize smaller projects first to get them done.” and left it at that.... uh... so you’re telling me that we get pushed back because our project is bigger and we are paying you more money?! How does that make any sense?! So we didn’t have an option. They have now moved our dates 3 times. We felt stuck because we are out of time to look around and get something set up elsewhere. They won’t give my husband or I an answer besides “We don’t make promises. So that’s all we can do.” Completely infuriating. Then we get a call from the rep we were working with telling us about a rebate we qualified for, OH AND that he misquoted us by $200. He apologized but asked us to come in with the new Lowe’s card to put that on there as well. I’m sorry, we already signed the contract with the price we agreed to. I couldn’t believe this. I called the rep a few days later asking if there is anything we can do to get our carpet moved up because we need it in so we can refinance our house before our baby comes. He told me, “Let me call them and see what I can do and give you a call back tomorrow because I know you guys are in a time crunch with the baby coming.”. Low and behold, I never got a call back from him. So I called him to see if I could get an update, and immediately he said, “Let me have you talk to (this other guy who we hadn’t ever spoken to or worked with. Keep in mind he SPECIFICALLY told us to only work with him). So first he didn’t call me and second he wouldn’t even talk to me. That’s great customer service. The person I spoke to didn’t even really know what was going on and just told me, “Because it’s a big project it’s just how the process works. So we can’t move your install date.” What is going on and why are we getting the run around?! We can’t get solid answers from anyone. So ridiculous. I told my husband this and he called the store to talk with the Store Director, but she had just left for the day so he spoke with a Manager on duty. This manager was very nice and genuine. Finally someone that has basic customer service skills. He was very apologetic and told my husband that he would talk with the department manager over flooring to get some resolutions/answers and call him back in an hour. Luckily he did follow through and the department manager did reach back out to my husband. The department manager said that he would be having a conversation with his team and see what he can do about compensation for the trouble. He did call back the next day and said we did not owe the extra $200 that his rep misquoted us, and said he will call the installation team frequently to see if there is any way to move us up and will be in touch. I can’t believe it has had to go this far, but I felt the need to post about this experience because I don’t want this to happen to someone else. My husband and I were going to go get a quote for blinds from this Lowe’s, but now we are going to go somewhere else. As this has been nothing but a nightmare and a headache with these guys. My husband and I will be shopping at Home Depot from now on. We suggest you do the same.

In the store on Main Street in Las Cruces, left wallet in the bathroom sitting on the toliet paper dispenser, when I went back to try and retrieve it got the run, around, also when I went into use the facility there was a young man janitor, asked him to let me use the bathroom he left the ladies room, when done he had to have noticed my wallet, never turned in the purse=wallet, none of the clerks except the blond lady tried to help me so I could talk to the police concerning the matter what poor service one of the women at the return desk went even so far as to harass me, all in all a really poor bunch of knuckleheaded *** who have no intention of doing a good job or trying to help customers with issues like this=are they also a bunch of ripoffs, the woman with the suntan certainly acted like on. 3/19/20 around 5pm mountain time.

Jeez is this the best this corporation can do, we've spent alotta money at this store, extremely disappointing. Made a police report with office Thomas of the Las Cruces Police Department, seems we were never offered a chance to question the janitor who was cleaning the ladies room before+after I left the facility.

What do you want them to do? You left it in the bathroom, it isn't there anymore.

Must be stolen.

They can't go around emptying people's pockets or searching under every desk and aisle. Your wallet, your responsibility.

Today Lowes stock dropped 25%. It was an all day rout. What does the market know? How will the stock recover? What does this mean for the shareholders who saw that Marvin's cuts had originally pushed the stock higher? Customers are leaving, good employees are gone, kids will be running the place, China will not have their junk ready to ship in time. I see a Home Depot takeover on the horizon.

Are 4 French doors an essential item you need to be in a store purchasing? Stores that are open are working with skeleton crews and you can expect delays. Wait till the virus dies down to place your order.

Ordered a dishwasher and was contacted about when it would be in. An associate called to say it would be in by a certain date and that someone would call to set up an appointment for installation.

The day came and went. I called the local store #1151 and got no answer no matter which number I called or which extension I asked for. So I called the 800 customer service number. There I conveyed my concern and was told they would contact the store.

The store manager called and tried lying about the date I was told. Long story short, I set up a date for a Saturday delivery and was told I would be given a 4-hour window for the delivery. Waited all day until 6:30, got no call. Called the store and had to keep calling until someone finally answered the phone.

Manager did not answer the phone until I called from a different phone number. He first said a delivery had not been set up and the merchandise was not in. Looked into the records and discovered the merchandise was in, was out with the installer, but he had no way of contacting the installer until Monday. But ...

the installer still might call to let me know they would be here within 30 minutes. This situation has been so convoluted and unprofessional that I sincerely hope I can go to Home Depot and get what I need.

I walked into your store in Saugus, Ma. and walked by the shelves that carry the sanitary wipes and some other sanitary cleaners. There is a sign that says 10 per customer!! You people are so stupid. If ten customers walk in and buy ten each, that's 100 units gone for just ten customers. I spend a lot of money in your store every year - you will not see another dime of mine!! Response to COVID-19

Shut Lowes Down!! Breeding ground for COVID-19. There is a Global pandemic of COVID-19. You are not protecting your employees. No gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc. Your website says you are providing gloves and masks. Public is not seeing masks or gloves being worn, as pictures are being posted. How many employees will be infected for the sake of Lowes all mighty dollar? Corp. advertised a "Spring Black Friday Sale" in the middle or a pandemic. These are NOT essential items. You are putting thousands of lives at risk!! Governor, Mayor, Police Dept. and news stations are being contacted. Pictures of crowds at Lowes are being posted on social media. Lowes needs to be held accountable and their "essential business" status revoked.

Buyer Beware- Deck Installation

Lowes - Buyer Beware- Deck Installation
Lowes - Buyer Beware- Deck Installation - Image 2

BUYER BEWARE: Lowe’s Deck Installation

Be aware that if you purchase a new deck with installation from the Northport, AL Lowe’s, what you agreed on and signed a contract for does not mean what you think it means. We had the sales rep for decks visit to give us a quote on installing a new deck.

He stood on our old deck that needed replacing, took many measurements and answered our design questions. We asked if we could possibly save some money by doing the demo of the old deck ourselves and he said absolutely. After discussing our concerns about demo {what we would be able to do}, he told us to just make sure we removed all the top planks and anything left {framing} they would “work with us on”. So, that is what we did.

We removed each plank, took out all nails/screws and created a pile in our driveway with the understanding that Lowe’s/contractor would haul the old deck off once the job was complete. We even had the haul away written in to our contract {Complete final clean up. Haul away all job related debris} when we went to sign and pay for the job. Please note: at no time did he tell us “hey, by the way, you will be responsible for hauling away your old deck”.

If we had been told that, we would have made arrangements for it and since this was a concern, it was written in to the contract. The contractor demolished the larger frame pieces and tossed everything onto the existing plank pile. The issue occurred over the definition and understanding of the term “clean up/haul away.”

At the end of the deck build, the contractor did not haul away the old decking. When asked, he said he wasn’t told to do that.

We called the store a few times trying to figure out what was going on. It was difficult to get a call back, even from corporate who we called too. The project coordinator we were assigned to did not call back either. Corporate did finally explain that “clean up and haul away” means the contractor would clean up any mess he made and haul away any leftover lumber not used in the new build.

That explanation did not make any sense. We explained that we had Lowe’s replace our countertops before and when they did, they tore out the old counters and disposed of them along with the new install. How could that term mean anything but the way we understood it to mean? That all the old decking would be hauled away since that is what was stated in the contract and is only logical.

After a week with no further contact from Lowe’s we went to speak to the manager and explained the situation. He apologized for the confusion and told us he would take care of it. We were very relieved to hear this and went home waiting for his call to schedule the pick up. Another week went by with no contact so we visited the store again.

This time we spoke with a different manager. She was very understanding, said she had heard about our situation and assured us that “they would make it right”. We were told that the delivery manager would contact us to schedule his team to pick up the leftover debris. After another week with no contact, we called the delivery manager to find out when they would be out and he had no idea what we were talking about.

He said he would look in to it and call us back, which he did and scheduled a pick up in just a few days. We were very happy and relieved that this ordeal would soon be over. However, the day of the pick up arrived and a single man came with a flatbed and a forklift. He took one look at the pile, took a picture which he sent to his manager and told him he would not be able to pick it up.

The delivery manager agreed with him and the man left. And that’s it. That was three weeks ago and not one single person, the sales rep, either store manager, or the delivery manager has called to follow up. Someone must know that the situation has yet to be resolved but no one has contacted us to offer any further options or solutions and we are left with an unmanageable pile of old decking sitting in our driveway.

We are so disappointed and frustrated with the entire process now.

We love our new deck but the experience has resulted in a very negative relationship with our local Lowe’s. Buyer beware.

This is the Northport Lowe's, fyi. Don't know why it says Coker.

Machele Imf

The real problem nowadays is that these big box companies have become arrogant and pretty-much do as they please because even if they fail one customer others will still shop in their stores and have work done by Lowe's and their subcontractors. Anyone who has Lowe's or any other big box store do a job for them is misguided and not understanding just how badly they may be treated once they pay for the job.

In your case, you can pay someone to haul away the stuff and then sue Lowe's in small claims court for that amount plus any other expenses and inconvenience. However, that is a real "pain" and Lowe's counts on you not bothering. The other problem is that employees of these big box stores know that they can lie to customers with impunity and just ignore them, hoping they will go away. Best to get a local contractor to do a job for you and set the terms, etc.

and, of course never pay the full amount due until the job is done and you are satisfied.

Bottom line, again: stay away from Lowe's or any other big box store when you need a project requiring installation, etc. They can't be trusted.

Purchased Washer and Dryer on 9/21/2019Price I had to put on my Bank Credit Card was $1621.91Had to wait for 1 month until delivery was done to be able to credit my bank card and then get purchases put on new Lowe's Card.Took delivery of washer on Oct 9, 2019 and Dryer on Oct 24,2019 not Sept 24,2019.Not a happy camper here, but have been patient with process. Not happy about not getting $100 of on first purchase of over $600 on ne Lowes Advantage Credit Card. Was shorted $ 18,97 on my Bank Credit card.

Original review Oct 25, 2019
I signed up for a Lowes Credit Card online, then called the Lowes Credit card issuer and was told I was approved. Just go into the store and have them look you up in the system and you can charge your appliance on the Lowes Card. I wanted to get a new Lowes Credit Card because you can get $100 off on purchases of $ 600 or more I went to store #2554 in Franklin, Wi and they could not look me up, and they said it was too late to call the bank, it was 7:04 pm and they said the bank was probably closed. They tried an application for me in the store in the computer but I was denied. So I put the purchase of $1535,90 on my BMO Credit Card so I did not get any special offers. I went home that night and called the bank and they said at the Synchrony bank that I was approved and the store should have called to have me looked up and they at the bank could put me into the system to purchase with a Lowes Credit Card, and that I was denied on a credit card application because I had already made one online and was approved, They also said that they could have been called 24 hours a day. The next day I went to get my Bank Credit Card Credited and have them call the bank and get my purchase of my Washer and Dryer and accessories on my Lowe's Credit Card. The staff in customer service and the appliance department said that since the Washer and Dryer were not in stock that I should not get the order credited off of my BMO Credit Card because the would mess up the order and delivery of the appliances, to wait until the two appliance were delivered and installed. The Washer was delivered and installed on Oct 9, 2019 but the dryer was dented and I did not take delivery, The dryer was just delivered in Sept 24,2019. So today 10/25/2019 I went into the store to the purchase on my BMO Credit Card credited. They credited me $1600.79 on my card for a purchase of $1621.91 so I still need to be credited $18.97. They returned /credited my BMO Credit Card and charged everything yo my new Lowe's Advantage Credit Card-this was my first purchase so I should have got $ 100 of my purchase total, but I only got $30 off why? I was told when I bought the appliances that I could get the $100 off or %5 off my purchase whichever is higher, But I spent more than $ 600 and did not get the $100 off, and I have a scannable coupon sent in the mail for $100 off my first purchase with my Lowe's Credit Card, when the Lowes Card came in the mail to my home. So why did I not get the $100 off. There seems to always be a trick to something and I waited patiently since 9/21/2019 till 10/25/2019 to get this $100 credit. Angry
