Lowes - Loves Sold Ranges On Black Friday They Didn't Have

So in need of a few appliances for a customer of mine. I helped her pick out a nice LG Range, however the delivery or pick up date was Jan 3rd. It was November 28th. She definitely wanted it atleast before Christmas. So we went with a similar one that was much more expensive, because the date for delivery or pick up was the 8th of Dec. Well the 9th rolls around and I get a call from her saying "where the heck is my stove"? So I contact lowes and am told they will check and call me back. This happened several times over several days. Finally I get a hold of someone who talks me I can expect it Jan 3rd. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? If you go online right now it says way before then. Well every time you check now it gets pushed back further and further. I have now been told January 18th. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They took my money, gave me an ever changing date of delivery, and do not truly have a clue of when or if I will ever get it.

Must be the same stove I ordered (I ordered full appliance set) Ordered in store on Black Friday, was given delivery date of December 9th. December 9th comes and they deliver my refrigerator and dishwasher, but said stove and microwave were delayed.

They'll be delivered December 19th. I take the day off work on the 19th to be there for delivery. Mid morning when I still haven't heard from them I call and they say it's been delayed again (why no call to let me know?!). They say it will be here December 26th (nice...after Christmas when I have family coming over and have a mismatched kitchen now).

Then they call December 24 (first time we've received a call) and say it's delayed another day and will be here the 27th. I say are you sure? My husband has to take the day off work to be there for delivery. Yes we're sure, it will be there the 27th.

I ask what time frame? The delivery crew will call you that morning to give you 2hour window. OK Today is the 27th, no call. Call them and it's been delayed again and nobody bothered to call and let us know.

Don't know when it will be there. Can't trust any date they give because this is the 4th time it's been delayed and 3rd time they've delayed it without letting us know. I don't blame Lowes for manufacturer delays, but I do blame them for poor management and customers service.

Manager says once we have the appliances in our home they will work out a compensation package. Will believe it when I see it....

I bought a GAS RANGE STOVE at Lowe's in Stockbridge GA 3505 MT. Zion RD, August 12 2016. In October I called the service department because the TOP of the range started to melt and the burner were skinning in, it took about 3 week for them to replace the top range. Thanksgiving Day we where cooking dinner and the oven BLOW IN it was so, loud, the next day I called the service center stated to them what happen. Manger from whirlpool stated not to use the stove it seen like a safety issues with the range. They told me to contact Lowe's about another range I told them I didn't want the same range back in my home so they said they will give me my money back for the range. I have been without a stove for21 days having to buy food out or go to my mother home to cook Lowe's has given me the worst nightmare ever I have experience with a major company, the manager at this need more training BRUCE, GEWNLY, NAPOLEON and the worst one ASHLEY talk over you so you can't say anything in respond. They have had the money from Whirlpool for the range and no one called. December 5 2016. I call back to this store so many time until am sick and tired, trying to get my money back or a stove they didn't have was told by ASHLEY if she order one in the price range I would not get it until after new years stated that it takes 18 day so am to go with out a range for the Holidays. I have spoke with Lowe's consumers department stated they would call the store to have them to return my money for the range, got a call from BRUCE stated that they need to pick up the range and I stated that they need to return my money at the same time he stated he only was told to make arrangement to have the range picked up them ASHLEY stated that I could not get my money back until they get the range and once they check it in I can come to the store and get my money never heard of a store doing something like this to a customer my life have been turned upside down all because of a defective range that was sold to me. I work hard for the things I buy for my home, A BIG COMPANY like Lowe's just take your money for there benefit, and the employee at this never will go back if looking for an appliance I will make sure I let other know to stay away from this store.

Yeah I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner once too and apparently mice had gotten under the top burners and were nesting with cotton and bits from the fields. I lit up the burners to cook and then when I turned them off they BLEW out all this nasty stuff. I hate when that happens.

Lowes in Redding, California - Lowe's Installation Sucks!!!

Purchased materials for a fence and contracted through Lowe's for installation. HUGE MISTAKE!!!! Estimator came out ON 10/11/2016 and was very professional. Installer called a week or so later to schedule. Was supposed to be here on 12/5 between 10am and noon - so of course we schedule our day around him and finally after calling Lowe's at 4pm to find out where he is, the guy shows up at 5pm - when it is dark! Said he's late due to a water leak on a job he is on - Ever heard of calling the customer to let them know???? Says he can't start until he knows where PGE and water lines are located and blames that on the estimator. He calls PGE and when PGE came out to mark the location of lines, they said they called him twice and when they asked for him by name, he said no one here by that name and hung up. Who is this guy hiding from??? Yes, they did have the correct number. We have made no less than 10 calls to Lowe's over the past 10 days about this guy. Apparently he will only talk to one person in the Installed Sales department and won't answer his phone or hangs up on anyone else. He called yesterday at 4:45 to get the address (he was already out there once and has the plans with the address on it!!). My husband told him not to bother showing up. So disgusted with Lowe's at this point. They did refund us 10% or $110 of the cost of materials, but installation charges are another $2,000. Now it is 10 days past our original installation date. We have no fence and told Lowe's to pick up the materials. It would be nice if these big box stores got some references and background on these guys they contract with. I will NEVER do business with Lowe's again!!!

Lowes in Glen Allen, Virginia - *** Delivery and Poor Management

I ordered a freezer, fridge and cabinets. About $7K. Delivery company calls at 9:45 PM I was in bed at 9!!!! Window was 10:30-12:30. 1PM, the guys show. Fridge is put in place. Dented!!! I was told a manager from the delivery company and a manager from Lowes would call within an hour. Thirty minutes later, I get an automated call asking if I was happy, if not, press 2 and leave a message and a manger will call back within an hour. No one ever called. Finally I call Lowes and speak to three or four 'managers' Each one was clueless. Then the delivery company calls me and asks about my complaint of a damaged floor. *** Two days later, a new manager from Lowes calls, tells me they have no replacements on the East coast and did not know if there were any in the port in California. I check and see it is a disc. model now. I cancel the order and ask for them to take back the fridge. The freezer (a high end under counter one) was coming this week. I told them I wanted a early AM deliver and not to call confirming it so late at night. I get a call tonight, telling me the delivery will be tomorrow between 6 and 8....wait for it....PM!!!! WTF! All through this the various managers were telling me they did not do the delivery that they contract it and try to palm off the problem on the vendor. I did not hire the vendor, they did! I bought from Lowes, and was having Lowes deliver it. Very, very poor. I used to like Lowes, they often treated me very fairly but this fiasco is inexcusable. Looks to me like some bean counter is saving a penny only to lose a dollar. The demise of Lowe is on the horizon. Look at the number of complaints. Despicable.

After finally getting Lowes to take back the fridge, I had to call and ask them to credit my account. I continued to get 'delivery calls' from their vendor for the next three days about a non-existent 'scheduled delivery'.

I never heard back from Lowes nor have they made any effort to recompense me for my nightmare. They just do not care.

Lowes in Madison, Mississippi - 3 Months with a Broken Washer. Lowe's Doesn't Help.

Do not expect any customer support. We are going on 3 months without a functioning washing machine. Thanks Lowes! We purchased a brand new LG washer in June that stopped working in September. It took 2 weeks for an outsourced repairman to come out but the parts are not available in the US. The have to be ordered from China. It has now been 3 months and the parts still have not been ordered from China. Lowe's will not stand behind the products they sell and exchange the washer but pawn off all responsibility to LG. Do yourself a favor, if you need anything more complicated than a bag of fertilizer, buy it from a locally owned business that will stand behind and service the products they sell.

Where do you get the idea that it is the responsibility of the store to stand behind the product? Take a look at the warranty documentation that came with the washer.

It clearly states that LG is responsible for the warranty. Your complaint should be with LG.

I would expect the parts have been ordered but if they aren't in stock they will have to be manufactured in Korea, shipped on a boat to their US warehouse and then to your repair shop and this process can take months. That's a risk you take when you buy products made in another country.

Lowes - Poulan Chainsaw Review

Zebulon Road store. Macon, Georgia. Roslyn Ross, store manager. I have shopped at this store (and other lowes locations in Georgia and Florida) since it first opened having lived in the area since 1972. I can honestly say that in recent years this store has gone down hill. Having met the store manager I think I understand why. I made the mistake of purchasing not one but two populan chain saws here for use on my small farm which I have owned since 1978. One was a 50cc with a 20" cut. Never worked well but it usually ran long enough to do what little was needed. Should have returned it sooner but I didn't. Tried to use it at thanksgiving and it would not run. Tried to return it today without success. Lowes would not honor the two year warranty. I did not have my reciept. Of course that didn't help and no one was interested in making an effort to locate a sales record. In any event I was not seeking a refund but I wanted to exchange for one that ran. As the one I had had never done. Enter store manager Ross. I was informed by her that any problems would be between me and populan. Lowes she said had no obligation to correct the problem and that a replacement was NOT an option. So lowes thinks that selling an inferior product is acceptable as a business process? According to store manager Ross it is! She basically told me I was wasting her time and I could take it up with populan. At that point I told her what I thought of her and lowes. She then told me to leave, which I refused to do and told her she could call for assistance and have me escorted out if she liked. She didn't. I have spent several hours seeking information from lowes customer service and corporate site. But as you might guess no one has responded. An unhappy and former lowes customer.

Once the store's return period has expired, product defects are between the purchaser and the manufacturer. Lowe's can't help you and you should have know this prior to purchase. suck it up and contact Poulan.

Look at your warranty. It says Poulan will REPAIR it, not REPLACE it.

Why do you think the store is responsible for the warranty? They can't send it back to Poulan. Take it to the service center authorized by Poulan and have it fixed.

Don't know where your are going to shop that you think they would take the saws back. Other stores would have you take them in for service as well.

Worst experience ever! Waited a week for delivery of washer/dryer, they didn't come. Called the store and was put on hold forever. Told it would be another week for delivery. Meanwhile, family has been without clean clothes for a week and now another week. No resolution offered. Their excuse for not informing us was that their phone system has a glitch. Will NEVER shop there again.

The total lack of any care from the manager on duty 12/10 pm was appalling. Does the entire company share those principles? He seemed happy that he was not able to help facilitate our rather large rug purchase and more than glad we had to leave empty handed. Bad customer service led to bad expierience.

Lowes - DONT PURCHASE A BUNDLE WARRANTY

purchased a bundle warranty plan for a Samsung washer and Samsung dryer FROM LOWES STORE. Unfortunately, a year later, the particular Samsung washer purchased was recalled and so, I went back to Lowes to purchase another washer however, the bundle warranty could not be transferred to the new washer as the warranty purchased covered the two appliances at the time. Lowes offered $25 gift certificate for the inconvenience,which was a rip off since it was NOT even half of the amount for the bundle warranty plan. MORALE OF THIS STORY? DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND IF YOU DO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, MAKE SURE ITS NOT A BUNDLE FROM LOWES STORE. RIP OFF !

This is untrue.... they can transfer the remainder of the warranty from the first washer to the new washer...

How do I know this. Because back in November 2016 when I first learned of the recall, I went back to the Lowes store where I purchased it in Danville and after several days of them "doing research regarding the recall" they allowed me to choose a different washer. So I picked out a different Samsung and the swap was complete... I was told that my extended warranty was transferred over but to hold on to my original receipts showing where I had paid for it originally.

I am sure glad I did...

Fast forward a few months when I realized that yes, they gave me a new washer to replace the original recalled one (that was less than a year old).... THEY REPLACED MY RECALLED WASHER WITH A 2ND RECALLED WASHER!!!

I was not a happy camper the first time I went through this, a second time was ridiculous. Now on the store level they claimed that there was a 2nd wave of recalls and it wasn't their fault I got a 2nd recalled washer....

Now I am not saying that they are not telling the truth, but I cannot find any record anywhere of a secondary recall that added more models to the recall after the replacement washer was delivered.

OK so I get to the store after waiting for them to pick up the 2nd recalled washer in order to get a full refund, well they were happy to refund the price of the washer, but the cash register locked them out and would not allow them to refund the cost of the extended warranty and it instructed them to call the warranty department. Which they did. After a very lengthy hold time the clerk was told that they had to validate my warranty (what does this mean? I had the receipt) and in about 5 days someone would be calling me to confirm my information and then they would send me a check.

I feel as though they have got to hold on to my money all this time. I should have been issued a refund on the spot.

Finally today I got an email that rather than refunding 100% of the $109 I spent, they are only sending me a check for $84.32. I had a 5 year warranty and both of the machines would have been covered by the manufacturer during the first year.

I had one for approximately 10 months and they other for about 2. No claims had been made during that time... I am getting ready to call them here in a bit. I have wasted so much time on this.

I am so glad I bought my newest washer at Menards (during their 11% rebate sale) and from now on, I will never buy another extended warranty at point of purchase again.

I am going to try http://www.allsixwarranty.com/. They will cover all six of your major appliances for $19.95 monthly.

First I have to say I don't usually buy at lowes, I spend $130000 to $160000 every year in supplies and I usually use Home Depot. I just move my business to a differebt area and decided to give it a try. I went to Lowes in Princeton, Nj. Walked in, almost empty, I was like:good for me. Expent almost 30 minutes cutting a mirror with an old guy, slow but polite, I have no problem, grabbed a couple tools, when I go to checkout only one lady is working and she cant handle the two registers in self checkout. Screams at customers, super slow. My turn, scanned my stuff and called her for help since the credit card reader is asking for my pin, I said I have no pin, she tryes to help me and she forces the card so hard that she breaks the card. I keep saying I dont have a pin, i usually hit cancel or a yellow button or the number sign. Shes is like, you need a pin. Manager comes and she says I cant buy there with that card, it is my visa bussiness card that I use every day at various locations. Never use a pin, lady goes angry and started smashing the glass on the machine to get ger id. She screams at customers waiting. She says loud, this is some ***. Customer leaves without taking items, same here, leaving the precut mirror and the tools. Ask the manager is she can try something, I mean, I use the card in at least 10 transactions a day, for the last 9 years, she says she cant. Im done with lowes the same say I started. Bad store, not nice people, they need to stay at home.
