The main Lowe's website states"If a competitor is offering a percent off discount,we'll match the final net price the competitor is offering" that's a complete lie, the local store refuses to honor that when you call the customer care line they agree with you and when you explain what the local store said they talk to their supervisor and the supervisor say's no we wont accept their percentage off. The *** on the phone says we'll beat their price by 10% on one appliance and since you're buying 3 appliances you'll get a 100.00 gift card. They're complete idiots. The other store's discount is an additional 15% off the lowest price which in my case was 502.00 dollars yup taking 100.00 off one appliance and getting a 100.00 gift card is almost equal to the 502.00 dollar savings.

It's obvious there is something missing to your story. If the competitor is truly offering a much better deal why didn't you just buy it there?

Sounds like you want Lowes to give 15% off their price which is more than likely lower than the competitors price. You need to look at the bottom line price, not the amount of the discount you get. Some stores mark their products up more so they can give you a bigger discount. Look at Kohls...they may advertise a product with a 50% off sale price, let you apply a 30% discount coupon to that and give you $15 in Kohl's cash for every $50.

you spend. I paid $26 for product today and saved $83.

I just look at this as not being overcharged by $83. So get over the amount of the discount and buy the appliances from the store that gives you the best bottom line purchase price, not the biggest discount.

Lowes - Garage Door And Storm Door Review

My wife and I went into Mt. Pocono Lowes to order a storm door and garage door. From the first moment I knew this was a mistake when the sales person charged us for a higher priced door and printed an invoice for a cheaper door. After we thought we corrected that issue, it took three weeks of calling Lowes to get an installation date and we got the run around. Then the installer installed the wrong door and ran out of trim. Again Lowes gave us the run around and would not admit to an error in ordering the wrong door. Even the installer said his paperwork from Lowes was different from our paid receipt. This whole ordeal was not worth dealing with incompetence even at the upper management level. We will not even but a screw from Lowes. The agrivation was too much anxiety and no one would take responsibility. Buyer beware!!

Lowes - Continued delay in receiving product

I ordered 3 interior doors(489779611) on 10/29/16 at the Strongsville Ohio store. I was told the doors would be delivered on 10/17/16. I set my contractor up to pick them up on the 17th. I spoke to a contact at the store late in the morning and was told that the delivery truck did not show up. I than spoke to the store manager and was that the doors would be in on Monday 10/21 for sure. I line up my contractor to pick up than. On 10/21 around noon I called the store as was told that the truck was not in yet but would be there shortly.(contractor still waiting). I got a call in the the afternoon from a sale assoc, telling me the doors would not be in now until 10/28. Someone was lying to me! No excuse for this type of service. I am being charged for the contractors time spent trying pick up doors plus the fact that I have my family here for Thanksgiving with small children and no doors for bath room,pantry and basement door which is a safety issue. I was told that the store would give me 15% off. Unacceptable for the aggravation and contractor cost I have faced . I have spent a lot of money at Lowe's over the years but no more! Lowes doesn't manufacturer the doors and have no control over backorders or shipping delays. NEVER NEVER EVER schedule a contractor until you know the materials he needs are in fact available and ready for installation.

If you are going to wait till the last minute before having house guests to do a home improvement project make sure you use stock product rather than products you have to order. No matter what you do in life delays can happen and this includes home improvement stores.

I can't believe you are an adult and haven't had to wait in a doctors office because they are running late, gone to a restaurant and had a meal take longer than expected, has a UPS package come a day or 2 late. Thing happen and you only have yourself to blame for scheduling contractors to pick up materials before you were notified they were available.

I have recently purchased a home in St. Louis MO. I used Lowe's for interior doors. They hired a contractor SIMS. This contractor sent 3 people. SIMS damaged 6 out of 7 doors, damaged my door frames, put the door frames on backwards, and ruined several of my walls. They put floor borders on one of my doors and used a 2 x 4 on the other side and caulked it in. They were rude and unskilled. When complaining to Lowe's I had to physical meet with all the managers as they did not offer to come to the home until I said Regional Manager's name please. They came to the house within 24 hours of SIMS being there. They took pictures and refund the install. Another company is installing my exterior doors, I can only pray it turns out right. They refunded the install and said they would have the exterior guy to look at what he can do to fix it. In the mean time my baseboards do not any longer line up with the door molding, my walls are damaged, big gashes in the walls. The exterior guy will install the exterior but doesn't know if he can help with the interior, but he will look at it to see. In the meantime what was a nice home now looks like it has been in a construction accident. I paid a lot of money for these doors. I think the contractors they use at Lowes they do not go out and find qualified ones or ones that have an A+ rating with BBB or Mo Attorney General. They have to fix the issues. Next, I hired Lowes at the same time to install a water heater and HVAC system. The Trio Plumbing installed the water heater; sit down for this one. Will the plumber installed the water heater and did not attach the flute with screws but with TAPE. Then he crimped the gas line and used needle nose to open it back up and taped that. Used old bolts instead of new ones because the bolts were stripped and he used a compound to seal it. There was gas leaking when turned on. Will said since the HVAC people was still working he could not turn it on. When the inspectors came, there were two, they said FAILED. Contacted Trio Plumbing and the manager is rude, loud, interrupts you and when raising my voice to get over his, he says I am hanging up I don't need to take this. But never hung up continued to make excuses. We actually taped the conversation and have the consumer reporting for the state to review it. This company may not be qualified or licensed as both inspectors state this is some really poor quality work. Will didn't turn on the gas and made that excuse, but the real reason is Will crimped the gas line and it smelled. The HVAC company fixed Trio's errors and purposeful intent. The HVAC company used was a success. I would highly be cautious of using Lowes for any consumer.

Lowes in Dublin, California - Bad service

We ordered automatic roll down blinds for 2 windows the same size, when delivered one was an inch to long, it was cut down and re shipped to be installed, no mounting hardware or remote was brought, it was reordered, brought out today still not right size a 1/2 inch to long, this has been going on since September 2nd, we cannot get any results from Lowes in Dublin Ca.they say the it's installers problem, but these are the installers that Lowes use. We have spoken to several store managers there but still no satisfaction, does anyone have any suggestions how to get service.

I PURCHASED A ELECTRIC TREE TRIMMER I ORDERED AND PAID FOR IT AT THE TIME I ORDERED IT AT THE STORE IN CHANDLER , AZ' THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE IN THE STORE IN 5 DAYS. AFTER 5 DAYS I WENT TO THE STORE TO PICK IT UP. THEY SAID IOT HAD NOT CAME IN. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE IN IN 2 WEEKS. I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN 3 WEEKS LATER. THEY THEN TOLD ME THE ITEM HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND I WAS GIVEN A REFUND. WHY WOULD THEY HAD EVEN TAKEN MY ORDER IF THE ITEM HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND MADE ME WAIT 5 WEEKS AND THEN TOLD ME. I WILL NEVER DO BUISNESS WITH THEM AGAIN.

I went to Lowes and purchased a garage door opener , with installation. First of all the CSR tried to charge me a extra 150.00 , so I fixed that for him. That is right helped him correct amount. I let that go . I have been waiting over a week for the call for install . Never heard anything . I called them and found out I was never placed on the installation list...what kind of *** is this...I will never get them for a install again. I have other people waiting to see how my job turns out because they want to do the same. well of course I will have to tell them to find another company maybe Home Depot.

Rather than going to a big box store go to a local garage door shop. They will be doing the installation, not farming it out to someone else like the big box stores do.

Bought a new 250 dollar air purifier when I got it home the filters where used dirty and the charcoal filter was missing This unit was obviously previously sold and restocked as new Brought it back was told they had one in stock would I like to replace it. How am I ever going to trust Lowe's again. Went down the stret bought one from Home Depot you'll never see me in your used shop again

Lowes in Indianapolis, Indiana - 6 months and Still no floor

Ongoing for 6 months, ordered a floor which came in but was 50 or so square feet short, wood was poorly milled and then installed poorly, it was cracked and not square. Installer came and was unaware (even though I paid for this service) that he had to rip out carpet and some old flooring. They had to order more wood which took a week and then again a few days until the installer could come out. They investigated the flooring and install 3 times. During which the flooring started to cup. We had new wood ordered and was ordered short as per the original order not the updated sizing. That has been here for a few weeks to acclimate, installer came and ripped out the recently replaced flooring and then left at 1pm so they could dump the wood and did not come back until the next day. They started the install after I explained my dislike for their lack of gaps around the perimeter for expansion and the install itself. I asked if they could cut out and re do a section after which they started packing up and left without finishing the job. they left piles of wood and loos pieces all over the flooring. I am now tripping over this wood everywhere i step. I also have a small child who I am afraid will be injured or cut by the random wood piles. Not only am I unhappy but this is not safe.
