Lowes in Castle Rock, Colorado - Horrible Service

The Lowes in Castle Rock Colorado should be a case study in poor customer service. We went in on a quiet weeknight and purchased a dishwasher. We purchased installation service. We were told we would receive a call the next day from a schedular to set up installation. Two days later we get a call saying we will get a cal from the installer on when they would come. Three days later, we call Lowes to say no one has called to actually schedule. The next day we get a call. My husband answered. The person on the line says "yeah, I got a text saying to call this number." Really? REALLY? No, hello I'm calling about your install? No name offered? Well, we establish why he called and he tells us he will call back later or the next morning to, and this is a quote "when I can come by". I now feel like they think they are doing a favor not providing a service we paid for. And of course he didn't call until two days later - a Sunday. He says he will be by Monday between three and five. At quarter till five he called and said he was running at least 1/2 behind. My husband declined his services. He then called Lowes and was issued a refund. But does the fun stop? Of course not. I get an email of the refund receipt and low and behold, they didn't issue a full refund. They skipped right over an entire item. Now why the person performing the task couldn't take a moment to notice the totals were different is beyond me. Other than attention to detail and basic math skills seem to be as poor as the customer service. So I call on a Tuesday late morning. The gal answering listens to my problem and says she will call me back in 20 minutes because she has 3 customers. Why? Why did you answer the phone? No, they never called back. I call back on my drive home. The exchange is going so badly I actually arrive at the store to expedite a refund. As I walked to the customer service desk, the man working there...walked away. He stood for several minutes talking to 2 other co-workers. So I called the store. When the phone rang he trotted over to the desk bi hung up and reminded him we just spoke on the phone. He took 5 minutes but I got the refund. It wasn't a lot, but absolutely would Lowes get one penny from me. Not now: not ever.

Lowes Excessive Interest

We contracted through Lowe's to have our roof replaced on our home recently. It costs over around $7,000.00. It was no interest for 18 months. We also had new gutters installed as well as 2 new garage doors and storm door. In addition we spent over 3,000.00 on wood flooring that we installed ourself. I understood the new roof was separate from the other purchases. My wife was paying on time every month and then all of a sudden we get a bill with 3,000.00 added interest to our account because it was not paid within the 18 month period. Needless to say, I was extremely upset about this and immediately called their customer service department. They said they would give me 30 days to pay the balance off to defray the added interest charges. Of course we could not afford that. So now we are paying additional interest on the 3,000.00 interest they added to our account. How is that legal? I am going to use any means legally available to protest this excessive - *** it's criminal to do this in my opinion. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have information concerning who to talk to about this. We went with Lowe's instead of local contractor because we thought they would stand behind their work, however I WILL NEVER purchase from them again and I intend to fight this anyway I can. This is nonsense.

I can pretty much guarantee that you agreed to pay in excess of 20% interest when you applied for the account, you just have to read the agreement you signed. As far as the no interest promotions go they pretty well spell out that you will pay interest from the date of purchase if you don't pay the charges in full before the end of the no-interest period.

You also need to understand you are not dealing with Lowes for your credit account. The credit is handles by a separate company that you have contracted with for financing.

paperwork not the problem- its how they add additional purchases to a contracted purchase- roof replace, instead of keeping separate. Then dropping the 4000.00 in interest on ALL purchases instead of keeping separate.

When we got the bill we called to work a solution and given 30 days to pay all off was their answer. We would have paid for roof upfront if we had that kind of money laying around. However like most we did not so we are now paying interest added to our bill for the interest added to our bill by their shadowy billing methods.

We would like to pay this off and can now, but I have a problem with paying 4,000.00 applied interest after the fact. They should not be allowed to add additional charges to a zero interest purchase that was around 7,000.00 by itself.

Of course I did. That is not the problem- the problem is shady billing methods- we made a large single purchase- roof replacement- costing upwards of 7,000.00.

We went with Lowes because we knew they stand behind contractors. We took the 18 months zero interest and then went to them for other purchases thinking these charges would be kept separate from the roof purchase, however they added these to the roof contract purchase- we thought they be kept separate like other we have bought from. We were hit with a bill that added almost 4,000.00 in interest without advance that coming up. We called to discuss a solution and only one offered was pay entire balance due within 30 days- then they waive.

We did not have that kind of money laying around so we had no other option but keep paying a now much inflated bill- due to the added interest or default.

So we are paying still however we now able to pay off entirely but I want adjustment on my bill concerning the interest before doing so. I have reached out to them again but so far nothing.

Hi Keith,

There is a place when you are logged onto your Lowes acct. giving you the option to select how your monthly pmts are applied.

Such as apply to all promotional balances first then the rest on any other balance on the card. I found this out the hard way about halfway through paying on an 18 month interest free purchase myself. Not sure if it will help or not but I contacted Lowes letting them know I didn't know about this option on line and asked for a review of my account and told them I specifically split my payment up to pay the correct amount each month to pay off the purchase in 18 months but according to my statement this wasn't happening. They reviewed my statement and pmt history and went back 7 months and applied the pmts correctly which got me back on track with having the purchase paid off in time to avoid interest.

But now I am fighting with them over their ridiculously high APR. I have paid all of my stuff on time and when I asked for a review to lower my APR I was met with A LOT of resistance! Not happy!

Lowes Blinds Installation Review

After spending $15,000 I have insulated blinds that are falling down, a crack in top of the line granite and a stove that is not level. Nothing was done on time. A total waste of my money. Customer service is non existent.

Sat I ordered a Bosch dishwasher from Lowe's with a promised delivery date of 11/28. I was told the install team would call today--11/14. When they didn't, I called them and was told they could not call until the dishwasher was delivered--on or after 11/28. Since it will probably take a week to set up, this means no dishwasher until 12/? I was told twice in the process that delivery would be 11/28--so I was lied to twice. Lousy customer service. Don't read the rest, am adding it only because this foolish site requires at least 100 words. words. words. words

I bought three window units from Lowe's and only use two of them one of them is still in its original box and plastic Lowes would not take it back if it was over 30 days old even with a receipt I could not get a store credit either I am just SOL I still have the receipt too

You leave out a few details. Were these windows bought from stock, or were they custom ordered for you?

My guess is that these were not stock windows. Stores don't have space to try and sell windows that are ordered to fit YOUR home.

Put it on Craigs list and sell it yourself. Next time don't order windows you don't need.

Lowes - Customer service is extremely poor

Found Spectracide Stump Remover on Lowes online...Showed store had 6 containers....Called store to confirm in stock before driving down to store....I advised person I spoke to on phone that online showed 6 in stock. but I wanted to confirm product was on shelf. After 3 phone calls and being on hold for 25 minutes, I was told it was in stock and on shelf....When I arrived at store they had none. Made a complaint with store manager, who also could not find product. Received call from seasonal manager day later that they found it in overstock. Employee on phone obviously didn't bother to check shelf. Day late, purchased it from different, more reliable online retailer.

Spent 16k on floors. Kitchen floor tile began cracking a little over a year after install in multiple straight lines across the entire floor. They gave me the run around for the last 1.5 years and ultimate home services never return my calls. Completely frustrating as I paid 4 k for that floor and they aren't willing to fix their poor craftsmanship. No pride in their work. They are so big they don't care about the individual.

On 10/23/2016 after the great flood in Louisiana, my wife and I special ordered a Jacuzzi tub, drain kit, heater, tub and the surround. On 10-31-2016 we received an automated message that our items had arrived at the store. On 11-1-2016 I called the store to verify our items had arrived. After 20 minutes on the phone they came back and told us they had indeed arrived. On 11-6-2016 I told my plumber to be at my house by 10 am and I would have the items there. My wife and I proceeded to the Lowe's to pick up our items. The customer service girl left to go find them. One hour later she came back with the heater for the Jacuzzi tub and stated she could not find the other items. I politely asked her to find a manager and have him search with her as I received the automated call and called the following day and they verified they had arrived. She did so and again about an hour later came back and told me all there was is the heater. She stated the manager was on his way to speak with me. He finally came 45 minutes later !! He stated he helped her look but would go back and to give him 10 minutes as he may have an idea where the items are. 50 minutes later he comes and tells us they do not have them but he thinks maybe they are in one of the three trailers they received the Monday before and would call me that afternoon when they unloaded them. Well he never called. I waited till 11-8-2016 with no call. I called the corporate office to get some help. After an hour on the phone with a lady telling her what happened and being on hold most of it she came back to tell me she has verified all of my items except for the drain kit was in. Well guess what back to Lowe's we went that evening. OH guess what else?? They could not find any items for us but the heater they found the first time. 11-9-2016 my wife receives a call from the lowe's we bought the items at to tell her everything had arrived. She said are you positive it is everything and not just the heater? He stated let me check. He verified that it all was there. Back to lowe's again we went just to be told they have no idea who from there called but they didn't have all of our items. I called Lowe's corporate again on 11-9-2016 to find someone whom matters. I was told the "Marketing Mgr" would contact me by end of business 11-10-2016. Well here it is 11-10-2016 no it's not the end of business but it's almost 4pm and I am furious. They deserve this horrible review. I hope anyone in Louisiana that see's this takes all their Fema money and or Flood Insurance money and goes to Home Depot ! They deserve to lose Millions of dollars if this is how they wish to treat us.

Lowes, Springhill, FL US 19. Brenda the check out at register 10, was so rude!! First when asked if her register was open, she pointed us to use register 9. I did, but my girlfriend had a separate order, so she asked if she was working? She said rudely... "Well if you are paying separately"! Seriously, why would she asked, if she wasn't ? Then the fan my friend was buying, Brenda argued about the price, that we thought it was. It was on a end cap shelf with apparently some other higher priced fans. (My friends picked a higher priced fam to buy, not knowing it was). Just one price hung in the middle of that shelf. (Which the store should NOT do in the first place). She said, "Well I can see the fan, from here, I know how much"! Sarcasm!! She was just full of meanness!
