I was at lowes with my mother we went to get wood and we need someone to cut it so i walked down the aisle to customer service i said excuse me is this customer service and the man said with a rude tone I CAN'T CUT YOUR WOOD. I said oh do you have anyone who can. He said rudly I JUST SAID I CANNOT CUT YOUR WOOD I DON'T HAVE A TOOL. When i walked back my mother said but the saw is right here. And then we walked out and now we are going to home Depot. That is why i perfer home Depot

Lowes - Window Installation Review from Merrimack, New Hampshire

Our Lowe's experience.. We bought our first house, a foreclosure, 3 years ago. As you can imagine we have spent a lot of money at Lowe's stores since we have done all of our home improvements thus far on our own. This summer we decided that our hard earned savings should go towards new windows for our home. We had a few different companies come through and give us estimates. We ultimately decided to go with Lowe's. The Lowe's window salesman was very nice and promptly responded to any questions we had.. That was until we signed on the dotted line and the install went bad. Lowe's contracts out their installers and according to Lowe's the installers for our project were "their best guys". Well that is sad or comical because after the instal was "done" only 8 windows were in because two of them were ordered to be the wrong size. This meant they had to put the old ones back in which was done poorly to the point that nothing was tightly sealed from the outdoors and they screwed the windows shut so for 3 weeks we were unable to open those Windows. Besides that the 8 Windows that were installed also had problems. We splurged on new exterior trim but for some reason the installers decided to not use a bunch of the materials that were in our basement so the exterior had new white trim but all of the old green strapping around the Windows. The trim was not sealed to the house leaving large gaps. Not to mention the million nails left all over my yard and patio. Per contract my husband was there all day, had to use a vacation day. He brought up all these concerns to installers but they had excuses such as not having the right materials... HELLO THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU JUST CONTINUE THE JOB AND HAVE IT BE ***! As frustrating as installation day was it is how Lowe's handled the situation which was worse. We didn't hear from them for days upon days even when they say they will call you by the end of the day they don't. Finally, after my husband called the store manager and higher ups they sent the owner of the installation business and a couple guys out to fix the trim and install the last 2 Windows. They also told us in terms of getting some money back for our inconvenience and wasted second vacation day they "would make us whole". We did not go in to this project expecting money back but considering all we went through and how much money was spent we feel it's the least they can do. However, since second installation we have been told a refund is not going to happen so again we called higher ups who said they would be in touch that night and that was over a week ago. Had Lowe's actually cared about our inconveniences and handled them in a professional and timely manner I would not be writing this review. But they didn't and now we will be sure to never shop at Lowe's again which is unfortunate for them because we still have many projects to go. I will also be sure to share our fiasco with all friends, family and now millions of others!

Lowes in Bend, Oregon - Pergo is pure ***

Had 15,000 in pergo max installed throughout the house, it's start to rise and get distorted after 4 years. Would never use again. Lowe's does not standby it's products or installation. I complained and they had a flooring inspector (that I'm sure works for them)come out and inspect the floor and said it looked just fine and if it's edges starts to rise from water being on it. There was no water on it, this stuff is total ***. I so angry I didn't call the local carpet vinyl store down the street, will never trust Lowe's for anything again.

Lowes - Door Installation Review from Jenison, Michigan

If you are ever considering shopping at Lowe's (specifically, the Lowe's of Grandville) , DON'T do it! Save yourself the hassle! My husband and I ordered a door in July and now we won't be getting it until October 27th because Lowe's doesn't understand customer service or: *How to contract competent installers (installer refuses to call us until 8pm or later after repeated requests to contact during NORMAL business hours). Or even how to contract their own brand of entry door manufacturers for that matter (purchased a custom Reliabilt door only to have it come in so warped it would not seal against the frame). We had to wait 2 weeks for an additional frame, only to have it sit at the store because the installer could not be reached So, beyond frustrsted with this place. The only reason we have an install date is because I had to call the installer and nag them myself, even though they have a whole department for that. We have an incident open, but we keep getting bounced around from one department to a CPO, then back again. So far, no resolution. It is very evident that not ONE person involved in our order cares to resolve this matter.

While I was shopping for windows in the Lowes store Southington Ct , if any of my own employees spoke to another employee like this girl did they would be fired! I will drive to Plainville from now on rather than witness this rude behavior among employees, maybe because she holds a title of department manager she thinks it's okay? well it's not okay with me, but who am I to tell lowes how to manage their employees. I simply will not shop this store any longer! Jo just lost you a customer! It will be worth the 10 minute longer drive to go to the Plainville.

Lowes in Ambridge, Pennsylvania - Service after the sales.....

I too as mentioned by a previous review, could have lived in Lowes. Unfortunately, after I had new windows, central air and carpeting installed in my mother's home, we had an issue with the carpeting. The front door needed to be custom built. When installing the door, the kick plate ended with being an inch from the carpeting, leaving a gap. I was more than willing to pay for the repair, however, after contacting them several times (each time calling I needed to retell the issue in spite of being told it would be recorded on their computer.) I have come to the conclusion that once Lowes receives your money, you are on your own after that. In addition, I once recommended to my local Lowes to install a computer kiosk where a customer could type what they were looking for and where it was in the store. The associate told me I could check the web site to determine if what I wanted was in stock. I asked if the site listed where it was in the store. They replied, "Well, no."

Lowes Bathroom Remodeling Review

We had them to come in and remodel our bathroom. Thay said it could be fixed in 7 weeks. Now two and a half months later the bathroom is still not complete and with a backed up septic line. The bathroom is an 8×6.

I submitted a purchase yesterday online for Maytag washer. The online form said I would receive a reply back the next day. My wife called the next morning to find a status of my request. The delivery manager told my wife that it was not on the manifest, but reluctantly placed it on the truck. He was spoke to my wife with complete disregard for trying to please her. An hour later he called me stating that the washer had a dent in the front and another dent in the back, asking if I would take it in that condition. How could anyone with proper customer interaction ask them if they would take damaged goods. I asked him to direct me to the customer care office and he said he doesn't know the number and they will tell me the same thing. I will never shop at the Lowe's located in Charles County Maryland.

It's obvious they only had one in stock. Some people would take the dented one if they really needed one rather than waiting for a new one to arrive.

It seems like he did the proper thing to me. He had 3 choices. One was to do what he did and call and ask if you would take a machine that was dented, he could have just put it on the truck and let you find out when it arrived or he could have decided you wouldn't want it, not send it and not call you.

Most people would want the call you got. Are you one of those people that don't understand that the don't build the washers in the back of the store?

WE BOUGHT CARPET FROM LOWE'S THEY ADVERTISE 10% DISCOUNT FOR MILITARY .WE DIDNOT GET IT. THEY SAID BECAUSE IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER. I WOULD LIKE TO GET OUR DISCOUNT ON $1831.34 MATERIALS-LABOR $486.57. WE HAVE BOUGHT CARPET 2-3 TIMES OVER THE YEARS'THE CARPET I ORDERED ON OCT, 3 2016 WAS FROM CANADA. I WASN'T TOLD IT WAS FROM CANADA,I WOULD HAVE ORDERED CARPET WHERE I COULD GET IT QUICKER. I TRIED TO TRACK MY ORDER DOWN AND CAN'T FIND OUT WHAT DATE IT IS COMING. Customer 5 episodes of very poor service in the last 60 days.The benefits of these issues? Continued lost time and money. Whether it's a one-day sale, that caused alot of confusion with management as well as my wife, to 13 gallons of paint mixed wrong ( Sheen) or waiting 45 minutes for help with several sets of deadbolts and locks, only to have them keyed alike, then going to install them and noticing that some of the hardware wasn't put back in the packages. I called the store and they had all the parts. I then returned to the store to retrieve the parts and nobody could find them. After talking to 3 associates they finally found the parts, inside the desk in the Hardware Dept. Oh yeah! and lets not forget this day. I went in and asked for Brick Mold (Primed) in the lumber department and was told they didn't know what it was, no we don't have any, and what is brickmold? Once again 3 Associates! The service at your store in Lubbock Texas is pathetic. We easily spend 10 to $15,000 a year at your store with our LAR account. And there's never a wait, when it comes to us paying our bill on time. My wife and I are at the end of our rope. I will say the situations were always taken care of after much leg work, phone calls and let's include the return trips to the store. It's my opinion that Lowe's owes us for lost time taking care of these situations. Renovations are hard enough without dealing with this!!!
