Lowes review in Columbus, Georgia: Worst customer service department clerk

Arrived at Lowe's to find one white lady at counter and black man at the opposite counter waiting for the only sales clerk on duty. As I continued to wait patiently in line an employee walk up and assisted the one customer, the black man, whom walked off following the employee. As the clerk continued to assist the lady in front of me, she walked to the opposite counter and began making phone calls meanwhile another black lady was also waiting in line behind me. For five to ten minutes we continue to wait and the clerk is still waiting on the telephone and then begins to assist the white customers walking up to the counter as we continue to wait in line. We then ask why was she assisting customers on one side who are all Caucasian and ignoring the fact that we African Americans had been in line for the last ten minutes waiting for service. The clerk then became rude and justifying why she is helping them while waiting on the telephone. We immediately asked to speak to the manager who then stated she wasn't present so she could not verify what we were saying was true but If it did happen she apologize as the clerk stood there with a smirk on her face as if the situation was funny.....our response look at the camera. I see nothing funny about your employing agency losing money because of the ignorant behavior of its employees.

So, no complaints against the black man, just the white woman who obviously was a racist and a bad person because she happened to be white. GROW UP AND GET A MORAL COMPASS!

The world is not out to get you because you are black. You are your own worse enemy and the only one in your way is yourself.

Define helping those other people. Was it just answering questions?

Definitely pretty difficult to ASSIST somebody while talking on the phone to ASSIST somebody else. This tells me that those others walked up yelled some *** question and rather than listen to those people sit there and bitchhh that employee answered their question and let them walk away.

Clearly there are just a bunch of jackasspeople in your town and min wage employees just trying to do their job.

One word: perspective.

I bought over $3,000 worth of appliances and chuck b. Was super helpful and friendly on the other hand when i went to pay,the guy at customer service Tony the lead checker had a very bad attitude,we said we wanted our rebate through the mail but without asking he put it through email,we asked him to fix it but he refused and said he could not do anything to help us.so we went back to chuck b and he took care of us.later i went back to tony and when i asked for his name, he covered his name tag and gave me a false name,r olled his eyes and walked away. but i already had read his first name. No one should be treated like that his customer service sucks

I mean what is a customer's favorite line when an employee gets an attitude? Who pays whoms wages? Sooo at what point do you have the idea that you as a customer have the right to complain about number of hired help at any retail establishment?

This complaint does not make sense to me with some of the misspelled words. It is not a complete sentence.

What happened to using correct spelling and correct punctuation?

Is this a legitimate complaint or do you just want to rant?

The cashier has NO control over Lowes hiring policies.

Senior management does. So call them and complain to them instead of complaining to the cashier who has NO control over this.

Lowes review in Wake Forest, North Carolina: Ultimate Customer "no service"

A kitchen re do has turned into the "Nightmare in Wake Forest". Home Improvement specialists who lie, just trying to bump services to increase commissions, to managers who just want you to go away. 5 Trips to the Lowes store in Wake Forest in 8 days to try and understand exactly why I'm paying $250.00 to install a sink. or why 100 - 1 x 2 kitchen tile (which has been sitting in my den for more than 2 weeks along with underfloor and grout and other assorted pieces of "stuff" is still there - floor measured out at 140 sq,ft. Or maybe its the contractor who was supposed to contact me today and let me know that the job MIGHT start on the 8th of November as opposed to the 25th of October or the store manger who was supposed to call me yesterday - we got cut off and I called back immediately, asked the operator to give her a message along with my phone number and still haven't heard back (Friday November 4th at 9:01 pm). Nobody at Lowes really gives a "*** " about the customer...they get the full cost of the job up front and then nothing happens. Have kept a full log of texts between myself and Lowes so I can validate my position Wouldn't buy a thumb tack from Lowes if my life depended on it. Don't expect to hear from Lowes management. However, social media including email blasts is a great way to let my friends and business associates know exactly what to expect when dealing with Lowes. And foolish me, thought no company's customer service could possibly be worse than Time Warner...you folks make them look like amateurs!

Did ya'll hear about lowes new business model ? well what little customer service they do have is now getting farmed out to a call center so you can't complain to a store manager .

not only that but they are taking all the local contractor jobs floors , heating and air ,door installs and giving the installs to a company out of state !

that will be great service . on top of that all the deliveries will also be farmed out leaving no one accountable for damages to the product or home .

Lowes review in Manchester Township, New Jersey: Veterans Card

I've recently moved to New Jersey and decided it was time to apply for a veterans card. I've served in the military from 1965 to 1967. I called the veterans office in Ocean County and was told that I should take my dd-214 to the the Ocean County office in the Ocean County Mall. To my surprise when I went to use it at the Lowes in Manchester Twp, the lady at the register said that the card was only good three times a year. Really? On July 20, 2015 the President signed into law the Veterans Identification Card Act. I'm headed to Home Depot this afternoon to see if they will accept the VA card issued through the county. If so, Lowes has lost a long time customer. Thanks Lowes.

And regardless of previous commentors post which is a whole other issue in itself. What gives you the idea that having an identification card magically means every place that you frequent starts handing out freebes?

And another issue what have you been doing for the last 50 years? Feel like they didn't lose much.

On December 12, 2015 I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at the Littleton, NH 03561 Lowe's store for $474.88. They delivered the refrigerator and it worked fine at first. Then the temperature started to fluctuant and then when it defrosted on it's own we had water in the bottom of the refrigerator. Ended up having to put a bath towel in the bottom of the refrigerator and changing it every day. I had the repairman come here about 4 times and he never was able to fix it. He put 2 controls in it plus he replace a tube in back of the freezer. I called the store manager in Littleton, NH and never was able to reach him. I wrote them a letter and someone named Justin called and talked to me. Went to talk to this Justin and he said he would get back to me. He never did call me back. In the mean time I bought another refrigerator. I also got rid of the other one. I won't buy anything more from Lowe's.

Isn't it just amazing that people can't get it through their heads that the retail store doesn't make the products they sell and that it's the manufacturer that is responsible for the warranty. What is this person going to do when they have a problem with the refrigerator they bought somewhere else???

I know that's like blaming their beer for their hangover. Lowe's Stupes....I mean customers sometimes just *** to hear themselves *** and it is easier to call into or even drag their behinds into a Lowe's to whine instead of calling Frigidaire because it is easier......

Pretty dumb and you people must think the retailer makes the items. lol.

I am a former Lowe's employee and I know this all too well. The world revolves around them.

The Lowes in Hattiesburg has some of the worst employees i've ever seen in a lowes.. My wife walked around this store for 35 min with no help at all. She could not find an item, and could not even find someone to help her. I probably will never shop here again; and i'll be sure to pass the word..

Ordered a built in oven on line. Picked up at store and had it installed by electrician. $180. Defective so had to return it. Expressed my problem with paying installation cost and oven was no good and that i would have to pay this again for replacement oven. Told by lowes supervisor to contact manufacture company to complain. Store ordered replacement oven. Called and said it was in. Went to pick up and it wasnt there. Still waiting.

Why didn't you just use the manufacturer warranty and have a service shop come out and fix it? There would have been no-charge, it would have been done faster and you wouldn't be paying for a second installation.

Still waiting a month after dishwasher was ordered. No contact from lowes. Called them and they had no excuse for wait time. Spent thousands on several lowes purchases and installations. Home Depot from now on. Still washing by hand.
