I LIKE LOWES ---- UNTIL LATELY. YOUR MANAGER AT THESTORE LOCATED IN BRADENTON,FL ON 14TH ST HAS MADE IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO NAVAGATE THR0UGHOUT THE STORE WITH MERCHANDISE AND CUSTOMER ORDERS FILLED IN THE ISLEWAYS THAT SHOULD BE FOR CUSTOMERS SHOPPING TO MANUVER THE SHOPPING CARTS, CARTS FOR DISABLED, ETC;. THE ISLEWAYS THROUGHOUT THE STORE IS A DISASTER.NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO NAVAGATE THE ISLES TO OBTAIN OUR PURCHASES. BY CHRISTMAS TIME THE WHOLE STORE MIGHT BE FOR MERCHANDISE ONLY, NO ROOM FOR CUSTOMERS. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM NOW AND IT DIDN'T USED TO BE THAT WAY. POOR MANAGER? So I went to Lowe's yesterday myself a 50 year old retired woman and my 7 year old granddaughter period after walking up and down the same aisle for 15 minutes looking for a piece of plywood actually 6 pieces of plywood... 3 pass me in the aisle trying to look busy ... will not look my way so I find the counter in the construction aisle... Another man standing there sideways he refuses to acknowledge my presence so I walk out I will never return to Lowe's I have to drive 20 miles further to Home Depot but that's where I will shut from now on. You seen the commercial of the couple trying to find help to buy a washing machine in a store similar to Lowe's or Home Depot and their hollering hello hello and the echo is coming back at them that's exactly how I felt yesterday while I was walking out of the store past six or eight other employees chatting with each other on their phones nobody acknowledged my presence in the entire store I had a tape measure in my hand that I return to the aisle that I got it from in the proper location.

Lowe's is a self service home improvement store. Always has been. If you actually wanted an employee to help you, you should have shopped at the local lumber yards and hardware stores when they were begging for your business 30 years ago.

Lowes review in Hurst, Texas: Absolute Nightmare

This review is also for the Lowe’s on 770 Grapevine Hwy Hurst, TX 76054 and Lowes.com. This place is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Ordered an over the range microwave and install. Magically the day it is due to the store it is back ordered until the middle of Nov. With this business you will get a flurry of calls asking questions or confirming things that require a callback. When you call in to the store you get looped into a call tree that has absolutely no option to reach appliances, installation, or the person who just called. So you get stuck with the operator who proceeds to put you on hold for 30 minutes. The lovely thing about this is after 30 minutes it either hangs up or sends you to a busy signal. By this point the "installer" came to basically take a picture of my current microwave with his cell and say it was ok for me to have another one after spending $35 (nonrefundable). As he was walking out the door he tells me "make sure you text and stay on top of my boss so this gets done". Um what? shouldn't that be your job? So since I had paid for this already I decided I would change to a microwave that would be available sooner. The "helpful" web agents directed me to the corporate line. Apparently the workers there do not know anything about home improvement products because my representative had this annoyed, rude attitude the whole time. The representative then had to call the store to get permission to place the order! 30 minutes later I was finally done with the seemingly simple task of switching out one product for another. Apparently this created a whole bunch of questions because that afternoon I got a message from the corporate representative instructing me to call the store back with the answers. So I call back in to the store and this spurs another round of the hold game. Once I got kicked off again I called back into the store and demanded to speak to a manager- I was SO OVER IT! His response was to defend everything and basically blame me since there was a communication gap between online and the store. He told me he would refund it and hung up. As I was turning around to head to the store he calls back to tell me he cancelled and continues with the Lowe's defense. At this point I was getting really mad since the blame was being put on me the customer! I asked him to please put in feedback since the process was ineffective. His response blew me away "Welp I can put it in CTI I guess but no one will read it". At this point I simply got off of the phone for my sanity. I was super relieved thinking this was all over until today- I got a call confirming my microwave delivery and my install!!! So I call back and of course the person who called me has magically disappeared so I had to call back into a manager. He told me he would cancel it and proceeded to HANG UP ON ME! I asked for a confirmation and he mumbled something and HUNG UP! Worst experience with any business ever. I will never ever shop here again and make sure that my friends and family are aware of this.

Lowes of Greeneville, Tn John electrical department

This incident occured at the Lowes in Greeneville, Tn on 10/6/16 at about 6:30 p.m. I was buying receptacles which came out of two boxes marked .59/each. When they rang up at 1.07, I stopped the cashier and said there was an error. At that point she called John from electrical. We walked over together to the boxes marked .59, and I showed him where I took them from. He immediately became defensive and insisted that they came from the box marked 1.19. He did not look at the sku numbers or do anything else to back up his assertions. At this point I told him to get me a manager. He told me "you get the manager." After he left the scene, I checked the sku numbers with several of the other recepticles in the .59 box and they matched. The ones from the 1.19 box did not match. After being treated with blatant disrespect, I had to do his job also. This treatment by an employee is a disgrace to me as a customer and to Lowes as a corporation who purports to provide customer service.

Lowes - Maytag Washing Machine Review from Benson, North Carolina

My washing machine was putting holes in my clothes or so i suspected,many time the ,machine had a buch of problems,but i went on you tube and was able to fix some problems,not my clothes being destroyed,2 day ago i decided to wash all my items in heavy Load, my most precious items,my prayer blanket and a lot of important items ,i wear every day,the washing machine was loaded and i left the laundry room, in the morning i tried to open the door i tried all the obvious things like check the breaker,outlets,it was definitely tne washer, my clothes are still in the dryer,because, apparently my warranty i purchased they cant find with my phone number,really,how convenient im so discusted,sincerely

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator 2014 with a 3 year extended warranty over the Labor Day weekend while we were away the compressor went out came home after 3 days had to through away everything. It took 18 days to have it repaired. I paid $65.00 for the service man to come out which I shouldn't have because of my extended warranty. It's been s nightmare trying to get a reimbursement. It started Sepember 12thand I'm still waiting. I faxed over the paper work they asked for and they said they can not check faces only emails. Went to Lowes Santa Clarita Golden Valley had the manager fax and emailed now they say the are behind and it will be another15 days to either get s check or a dinail letter will never buy a major appliance from Lowes!!!

I usually like shopping at Lowes. I have their credit card and I've bought many things there for my new house. But, I tried to buy a window from the Royal Oaks store in Houston last Saturday, and their customer service was horrible. I, and another man, stood in the Window and Doors dept for at least 10 minutes. NO ONE worked there. There were employees wandering the isles but apparently none of them could, or would, help us in Windows and Doors. Even after we pushed the button to for Help, and could hear announcements asking for help in that Dept, no one showed up. The man finally walked off. I repeatedly tried calling the front desk, to ask that they send someone back there, but NO ONE would answer the phone. Finally, a rude employee showed up. He said that he was on his lunch break, but had to stop to help me. He was obviously mad about having to help me. He didn't even work in windows so wasn't much help. I ended up leaving without ordering anything. I tried to order the window over the phone today, but was told to call the store---the same store that would not answer the phone last Sat. I was told that without an item number, that the person over the phone could not order the window. But, I don't have an item number, because it is a special order size and is not shown online---and the person in the store was no help. It should NOT be this hard to buy a window. I will go to another store with better customer service.

went to lowes tx city today sunday to purchase fertilizer,went to pay for it and tried to use my veteran discount only to be told (very rudely) by two employees at the garden center check out that i could not use my discount because i am not on file,b.s. i been shopping at lowes for 15 years or more always used my veteran i.d.

card for a discount,now lowes want us veterans to go thru a 3rd party to check our credentials and the 3rd party would research my info.,who wants the company to research my dd214? i darn sure do not,my info is my business not some other company,as of today i will never shop another lowes

My thoughts exactly. Customer service is totally lacking.

They never have enough garden center help and I have to load the 40 lb. backs of top soil myself. I'm a 63 year old woman and I don't believe I should have to load all the heavy bags myself.

Did you ever stop to think the person in the window department may have been at lunch? Yes, thats a fact in big box stores, they often only have 1 person working in a department and yes they are entitled to a lunch break.

Do you really want someone in another department that has no training in window to special order a window for you? Your chances of getting the correct window wouldn't be very high.

"Anonymous", the person(s) who was supposed to be working in the window dept was NOT at lunch. There was no one working in that department at all when I was there.

That is the point. Lowes had NO ONE, who was trained to work that department, actually working in that department when I was there. Are customers supposed to just expect no service in various departments just because it is a "big box" store? No.

If Lowes wants customers to buy their products, it is up to them to make sure that the departments, which need hands on customer service personnel, actually have those people working there when the store is open to customers.

Since they didn't, I hired an installer who bought my window at another store. Lowes lost sales because they didn't bother to have a least 1 trained person working in that department.

And when I replace other windows, I will not go through that hassle again. I will again hire an installer who will purchase my window somewhere else.

I expect the manager of Lowe's to manage his/her employees and insure that there are enough employees to actually help customers. Otherwise having windows in their stores is absolutely worthless.

The manager should have made sure that there was someone available to help customers in that department when another employee was on lunch break. I should not have to know the lunch break schedule of Lowe's employees before I try to shop there.I did go somewhere else. I purchased from a company that came to my house to measure the windows, then they installed what I ordered.

I didn't not have to concern myself with their lunch hours. Lowes lost many thousands of dollars in my business simply because their store manager did not manage employees' time.

Just went to the Voorhees NJ store to pay my bill. service desk had 2 women working and one just sat on the phone doing nothing. I waited 12 minutes and walked out. the people behind me did the same. Get yourself a new manager to run the store. This wasnt the first time. Btw- not one manned checkout open-only the the help yourself at the end. Millions of dollars in store costs and not 1 person to take your money. Explain to me how that works in business?????????? bad business bad business bad business bad business bad business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How to run a business into the ground. time to go to the Home Depot!

I have to say that I have never had trouble with Lowes until about a month ago when i went to return left over items from a project at my house, the Lady in returns couldn't find the upc code to return it so she contacted the manager in building materials and he came over and told me that i had altered the product and was trying to return it, I explained that when i bought them from the salem store they had trouble finding the upc, so he walked away and came back and said his computer doesn't show anything, then said to me that i had altered the concrete block and was trying to steal from the store, at which point he said it so loud that the people in line were talking about it, the assistant manager came over and returned it at this time. and i asked him to call the salem store to verify that they sell this item and he just said there is no need to. Me and my family drove to the salem store and spoke with the assistant manager and told him what had happened and he called the other store to tell them that infact they did sell that item, he kept apologizing for what had happened. That following Monday i called and spoke with the store manager, which seemed to be helpful until a few hours later when my phone beeped and linkedin notified me that this *** manager had looked me up? why does this manager need to look me up on social media to resolve an issue, then an hour later he tried to add me on face book. Next time you think about shopping at lowes think about if you have trouble you will be accused of stealing and the creeps will try and look you up online. This is very scary what are there motives? The worse part is on average i spend 10,000 a year with this company. but never again will they see a dollar of my money!!!!

Lowes offered and then Charged me $99 for special offer install on blinds, that was $45 to measure and $54 to install up to 9 blinds. When I went to actually place the order, they added $450 to install price stating that 'other charges apply' but couldn't say what extra charges. They started to say that one of the blinds was greater than 60" but it wasn't, then they said well the window is greater than 60". But couldn't justify the extra $450, the quote for the windows jumped when I tried to order. First 9 window blinds were $1,093, then on ordering, the first 3 sudden,y came to $750..... I walked out.

I am going through a blinds installation right now in Lynnwood WA Lowes. It's honestly been a nightmare.

They're using North End Remodel from Marysville.

One word: RUN.

This is supposed to be a quick process but we ordered in July 2017. It's mid Sept, got blinds in August, no installer and Lowes doesn't care.

Run!
