Lowes in Orlando, Florida - Poor Customer Service

For 45 minutes I couldn't get anyone to help me find a light bulb, then this nasty attitude young women comes from paints and says that the light specialist was at lunch and asked me for the brand of the light, I didn't know the brand but she kept looking for about 2 minutes, and then she said she needed to know the brand, so she then turns around and starts walking away saying "well I guess I can't help I don't work in this department " I was completely in shock to know that this women will act this way, not to mentioned that there is never an individual at this store willing to help and if there are they NEVER ask customers if they need any help, CS at this store is the worst I had ever seen.

Rather than spending 45 minutes looking for someone to help you find a light bulb why didn't you spend your time looking at the light bulbs they had in stock? I doubt it would have taken you 45 minutes to walk up and down the row of stock light bulbs and determine if the bulb you were looking for was on the shelf. You might be surprised what you can do on your own if you try rather than expecting someone else to do everything for you.

Lowes in Bluffton, South Carolina - Lowe's Sells Returned Merchandise as New

I have shopped at Lowe's rather than other hardware stores for many years. My satisfaction with Lowe's has diminished over the last few years for many reasons, but today they lost a good customer. In the middle of a project today my staple gun died. I went online to see if Lowe's had a specific electric stapler in stock at the closest Lowe's (Bluffton, SC), and they did. So I drove 10 miles to the store and bought the stapler. When I got home and started to open the package, I noticed the blister pack had been opened before and resealed with clear packing tape. It was obviously a return that had been repackaged and returned to the new stock. When I opened the package and plugged the gun into a receptacle, It did not work. It also had no instructions or warranty information. So I had to drive another 10 miles (each way) to get a replacement. This obviously was not a large purchase, but it speaks volumes about the way Lowe's conducts their business. People who return merchandise do it for a reason, usually because it is defective. Lowe's knows that, yet they try to resell returned goods as new. So even though this was only a $30 item, how do I know that big ticket items that are returned are not handled the same way? We are planning on buying all new appliances this winter. You can be sure I won't be buying them at Lowe's.

You have obviously never worked a day in a retail store. People are continually returning items they bought too many of, didn't end up needing or received as a gift.

Return desk people ask if there was a problem with an item and if so it is handled as a defective product, if not it will go back on the shelf.

Stores just don't have time to open every return and test it before putting it back on the shelf. It's not any different at Sears, Home Depot or any other big box store.

Lowes in Worcester, Massachusetts - Can't get any call backs

I bought a consultation for a person to come to my home and evaluate what size screen door and type would be best in my home. Have had no call backs to set up. I have called several times and spoke with several people. Mike the manager has been of no help whatsoever. Truly very disappointed in this place. I will not ever use Lowes again. I will call HD and give them my business. This should be a simple task and yet they are giving me the run around. I believe Mike is now just avoiding the calls. He stated he would call back but has made no attempts to fix the situation / problem.

Ordered a dishwasher from Lowes in Long Beach, California. I should have known. Only after they received my card information, was when Justin informed me that this was a special order to be delivered from the manufacturer (GE). This took two weeks for delivery, then another week for an installation appointment. Eddie, the supposed installer, shows up only to try to hustle me into having another electrical outlet installed. Said he could not install the new dishwasher . I then decided to return everything for a complete refund. We get to the store then have to wait for almost an hour because the cashier kept pulling up the wrong invoice numbers. She had no clue as to what she was doing. The manager, Doug, was of very little help. It was an awful experience from start to finish.

Lowes in Lilburn, Georgia - Raggedy washing machines

Went to lowes in Lilburn, ga and ordered a matag washing machine- on the spin and rinse cycle it shook real bad. Shaking so bad it shook the whole laundry room. Made lowes aware of this on the same day it was delivered and delivery guy came back out to see if it was leveled which he said it was. I was not going to put up with it shaking violently and went back to lowes to complain that something must be faulty with the machine. The sales person that sold me the washing machine the stated that I needed to get a repair person out to fix the machine. I told the sales person that that was not going to happen because I paid close to $600 and I was not going to get a brand new washing machine fixed. I then ordered a whirlpool washing machine. The delivery people came to pick up the machine one evening when they delivered the whirlpool. Same issue was going on with the whirlpool shaking violently on spin cycle. I went back to lowes the next day to get the matag credited back to my account and to advise the sales person that I was having the same problem with the whirlpool washing machine. The sales rep advised me that they could have someone to come out on Tuesday to check the level on the whirlpool. Well Monday came and I never did get a call that evening as to when someone could come on Tuesday so I figured since lowes did not care I will just have them to pick it up so I could get my money back for the washing machine, hoses and the extended warrant which I purchased. This past Saturday the sales rep advised they will be at my house after 2:00pm and then when I got the call from the delivery people they said between 11:00-1:00pm. Since I had something important to do I told lowes to schedule me for Sunday. Never got a call from the delivery people on Saturday evening for the pickup. Lowes cancelled Saturday pickup but never rescheduled for Sunday. Then called lowes back and they stated they will be able to put me on the list for Sunday after 2:00pm. Well kept on calling lowes and it was almost 8:00pm to be told I was taken off the list.!Hope they get it straighted out. Now speaking with supervisor David to get this matter resolved.

You don't say whether you bought a top loader or a front loader. Either way the delivery people more than likely aren't trained enough to know there are shipping bolts in front loaders that need to be removed before the machine is used and in the case of a top loader there are shipping blocks in the base of the machine that need to be removed. If these are not removes the drum is tied to the machine causing it to shake.

Lowes in Arlington, Massachusetts - Lowe's Home DYI Store Dedham Mass 02026

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator A week and a half age from this location. It was delivered on 9-11-16. One in a half hour later than the time It was expected between 2-4:00. The new refrigerator has a dent in the front of the door which myself, and the delivery person saw right away. If you buy Appliance's from this store or any other Lowe's store. Make sure you look it over closely. Very disappointed, and angry, that they would let a product go to a customer this way. Not to mention the 1 and a Half hour of how late the delivery was.

I've shopped this store for years, in the past 8 months the Vincennes,Indiana store has gone straight to ***. People are being bullied by the store manager & by his assistants. Longtime employees are being pushed out. The 'older' employees are having hours drastically cut. People being fired after they have had a health issue. Not to mention the management staff stalks the employees thru social media. Then there's that fact that this store is built on a TOXIC land. About 13 women have had miscarriages or still born babies. I hope there will be a massive lawsuit started against Lowe's & especially against this store manager Martin Wagner is his name. I will continue to complain till something is done about this. You should be ashamed.

We bought carpeting from lowes with their installation. The carpeting had a one year warranty with it. The carpet got to the point where it looked like it was worn. Lowes came and took pictures and called the manufacturer . They suggested cleaning it professionally, which we did and it never helped. I went back to lowes and they promised to contact manufacturer. I still haven't heard anything and I've been back numerous times and the person that's taking care of it is never there and they'll have him call me. So now I do all my shopping at Menards and Home Depot.

Lowes in Marshall, Michigan - Lowe's Installation Services Stinks

I don't have enough time nor do you to read all that transpired with our attempt to have Lowe's install a privacy fence. It boils down to this: signed contract on 7/12/16 and as of 9/9/16, still not fence. Three installers were contracted and failed to deliver. Numerous calls to our project manager, Angela, went unanswered. Calls to Dawn who sold the service went unanswered. 2 visits to the store to get some action was fruitless as they state they aren't over installation services, that is in Grand Rapids. Called Installation Services in Grand Rapids, and while they were apologetic, nothing changed. As of today, we went to the store, again, and told them to pick up the materials that are sitting in my driveway and we want a refund, as our credit card was billed when the contract was signed (July) and paid to avoid interest charges before we received the goods or the installation. Be warned when dealing with installation services.

Does not surprise me. I work part time for Lowes and the company could careless. Management is a joke and all they care about is making their budget to get their bonus checks.

Stay away and use word of mouth to find a reputable installer.
