Lowes review in Brownsburg, Indiana: Credit PROMO

Same thing happened to me. I had been in several times picking carpet, blinds pad....asking questions got measurements. Then denied on spot have to wait on denial letter which I have not received. I am not happy with their customer service knowledge of how credit works. Asked about measurements not being close to what another company had given me. I am concerned about time frame of installation...after paying for my carpet. Did not like the way the front desk has no knowledge of financing and nobody there to answer questions. Lowes review in Columbus, Ohio: Customer service and on time delivery is bad

1.0
Details
I have ordered a counter top and flooring, the counter top was suppose to be 2 weeks it is passed 3 weeks now,{ to be in on the 26th now} was ordered on the 7th. the flooring was to be here on the 20th but no truck today. so in the meantime I have workers waiting and I am without . I go to Lowes often and each time I have to wait and wait for some one to help. there has been time where the employee has turned and went the opposite direction to keep from helping. I even called the store on my cell while waiting in the flooring dept.that took forever to. I also work with the public and if I was to treat my customers like Lowes has treated me I wouldn"t have a job. This Bellefontaine store needs to retrain their employees ,

Lowes Selling Used As "new" and $800 (Dented) tool boxes
I Bought a new tool box for Aviation maintenance class and a new Bostich 6 gallon Air compressor After arriving at the shop and un-crating my new tool box it was found to be heavily damaged. Store Managers response...."Sucks to Be You" Upon opening the Air compressor it was found to have been Used. This is the 5th time I have purchased what appears to be a factory sealed item and gotten it home to find that the item was used. I am sure Lowes is headed the same place as sears. The shelves are always empty, there is very little staffing and the people who do work there don't know much, or care.

Lowes review in Mobile, Alabama: Siding

A Lowes consultant came to my home in February, I Purchased a lemon home. It needed a lot of work, more than I thought, so I trusted Lowes to do most of the work. I am a single mother doing the best I can. I was given a price and right then and there I signed the contract. Now mind you this is February. March and April came and went no work, I called Lowes in May and I was told that the siding we agreed upon was no longer in stock and they have something similar. Well my daughter is getting married in August so like every mother I wanted her to take pictures as she leaves home. So I agreed to it. June and July came no Lowes, I called and spoke to the unfriendly manager, he asked me what did I want him to do about it. I was told that the people who are going to install will contact me. Finally in August I was contacted and told that it has been raining and there was nothing they could do. Finally the contractors came and the day my daughter got married they were outside my home hanging the siding. So therefore no wedding pictures in front of her home. A big company like Lowes really disappointed me, not only did it take 6 months to put siding on my home, when I look back at my daughters wedding pictures they begin from the church, this is a memory my daughter will never get back.

Lowes review in Round Rock, Texas: PVC Pipe

2.3
Details
Needed a piece of PVC pipe longer than the per-cut stuff but had an issue in fitting it in my car. i asked customer service if they could assist me by cutting the pipe in half for me. They informed me that they did not have any tools for cutting the pipe in half. OMG. I was standing in the middle of one of the largest tool stores in Round Rock. I said, if I cant cut it, i cant buy it. no way to get it home. The store rep agreed. I needed the PVC so i took it to the mold and trim area and cut the pipe in half with the saw they said they didn't have. That was several months ago. Today had a lovely experience trying to return something. You can see where this is going so I will end it here.

Sooo the person at the front of the store was correct that they themselves did not have anything to cut your pipe with? ...OK just making sure. Lazy people in this world will forever continue to surprise me.

Lowes review in Waxahachie, Texas: Angry but i mean the p word

4.2
Details
today I went to the place I always go for building and repair products first off I needed a key copied. As expected no one was at the counter another customer arrived looking for Doorknobs. Security came by and noticed we were not being waited on and attempted to get help for us via the intercom - no one responded, so finally he attempted to help them himself-I waited and still no one came. I also needed a water filter- no one there.. I went to the office to find the store manager who told me all the personell had been sent to aid the hurricane victims in Louiseana, like I was *** enough to believe that. Lowes is no longer my store of choice. I spent an average of 200.00 a month in this store. I can turn left instead of right and spend my money at Home Depot. Jerry Proffitt Waxahachie TX

You're bragging about spending 2400 dollars a year anywhere? You really make sure you keep their lights on huh? Maybe instead of standing at a counter expecting someone to just magically appear try finding someone to assist you instead.

Lowes review in Kennesaw, Georgia: 2nd bad service situation with Lowe' s Delivery

About this time last year, I had an awful experience with Lowe's and with their delivery company. My refrigerator was supposed to be delivered between 12 - 4 and they got there at 9:00 pm. They took my refrigerator out and set up my new one, which had a huge ding in the stainless steel. When I pointed it out to them they said it was not a problem, they would replace the door later. When finished with the installation, they did not go over much with me on what to expect with the ice maker, water, etc, they just wanted out of my home. After 4 hours, no ice, after 8 hours no ice. Spoke with my Lowe's store who said they would send me another refrigerator, which they did and everything ended up ok - after several days, no ice and water during the Thanksgiving weekend! But the Marietta Lowe's did step up to the plate and got everything taken care of after a week!! Enter situation # 2 with Lowe's. I sold a home with a new refrigerator from Lowe's in it (oh, no). The new refrigerator did not work. The delivery people did NOT EVEN SHOW UP for the first repair call, so we scheduled a 2nd one but they earliest they had was almost a week later. They were 2 hours late on the 2nd one, said it was a Freon leak which they could not fix, changed their mind and said they had to order a part which would take 2 weeks to get in. We contacted the manager of the CONYER's LOWE's, who was having a new refrigerator delivered on Sunday, September 18.They were calling on the night of the 17th to tell us when it would be delivered - NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!! At 3:00 on the 18th, when we had not heard from Lowe's STILL, we found out they sold the one slated for our delivery and it would now be the 22nd before they could get us another one. Really, Lowe's? How horrible! There is a young Buyer in a home without a refrigerator at all and you expect him to wait 2 weeks to be able to have food and drinks in his house? Please SPREAD THE WORD that this company does not use reputable delivery people, they do not care about your inconvenience and you are not valuable to them in anyway except on the initial purchase! Once you have paid, you are DEAD TO THEM!!

Lowes - Kyle, TX

2.5
Details
On June 10,2016 we placed an over $3,000 order with Lowes for carpet for our new home. On June 17, 2016 we also placed an order for some new hardwood floors. Cost of the hardwood floors over $12,000. Prior to these purchases we had also bought from Lowes a new stainless steel refrigerator and chest freezer. All together we spent over $20,000 in 2 months. Our carpet was ordered and when we were contacted about the installation, we were told they were going to wait until our hardwood floor was installed. The carpet was for our upstairs and we had to argue with the store that it made no sense to delay. Our carpet was finally installed at the end of June. We had some damage to an upstairs wall that was not brought to our attention and we had to contact the store. At first we were told that the installers were not liable for any damage and there would be no repairs. After several days, we were contacted by the installation team who sent someone over to repair their damage. Our hardwood floor was finally delivered to the store and then delivered to our house. It was unboxed and placed in our eat in kitchen. It sat there for 10 days. On the first day of installation, it was determined that the wrong flooring was sent, but that Lowes would eat the cost of having the flooring glued down rather than what we ordered was a click product. We decided right away that we wanted what we had originally ordered. Lowes then had the original flooring salesperson contact us to tell us this was a better installation and that Lowes was being generous in their offer to eat the extra cost. We stuck to our guns and insisted on the original product. Lowes then would not order the correct product until, at their convenience, they picked up the incorrect product. They picked up the product and ordered the correct flooring. The new flooring came in and again had to sit in our kitchen for 10 days. The catch on the installation was that we were put back in the rotation for waiting for the floor to be installed. At this point we were ready to pull out of the whole deal. We stuck with the incredibly frustrating process and our new floors were completed on August 29,2016. In all of this, we never felt like anyone at Lowes apologized to us and we never felt like we were treated fairly. Early next year we are planning on a kitchen makeover and Lowes will never get my future business. I work for a customer-focused company and I know we would not be in business if we treated our customers the way Lowes treated us.

Lowes review in Orlando, Florida: Poor Customer Service

For 45 minutes I couldn't get anyone to help me find a light bulb, then this nasty attitude young women comes from paints and says that the light specialist was at lunch and asked me for the brand of the light, I didn't know the brand but she kept looking for about 2 minutes, and then she said she needed to know the brand, so she then turns around and starts walking away saying "well I guess I can't help I don't work in this department " I was completely in shock to know that this women will act this way, not to mentioned that there is never an individual at this store willing to help and if there are they NEVER ask customers if they need any help, CS at this store is the worst I had ever seen.

Rather than spending 45 minutes looking for someone to help you find a light bulb why didn't you spend your time looking at the light bulbs they had in stock? I doubt it would have taken you 45 minutes to walk up and down the row of stock light bulbs and determine if the bulb you were looking for was on the shelf. You might be surprised what you can do on your own if you try rather than expecting someone else to do everything for you.

Lowes review in Bluffton, South Carolina: Lowe's Sells Returned Merchandise as New

2.0
Details
I have shopped at Lowe's rather than other hardware stores for many years. My satisfaction with Lowe's has diminished over the last few years for many reasons, but today they lost a good customer. In the middle of a project today my staple gun died. I went online to see if Lowe's had a specific electric stapler in stock at the closest Lowe's (Bluffton, SC), and they did. So I drove 10 miles to the store and bought the stapler. When I got home and started to open the package, I noticed the blister pack had been opened before and resealed with clear packing tape. It was obviously a return that had been repackaged and returned to the new stock. When I opened the package and plugged the gun into a receptacle, It did not work. It also had no instructions or warranty information. So I had to drive another 10 miles (each way) to get a replacement. This obviously was not a large purchase, but it speaks volumes about the way Lowe's conducts their business. People who return merchandise do it for a reason, usually because it is defective. Lowe's knows that, yet they try to resell returned goods as new. So even though this was only a $30 item, how do I know that big ticket items that are returned are not handled the same way? We are planning on buying all new appliances this winter. You can be sure I won't be buying them at Lowe's.

You have obviously never worked a day in a retail store. People are continually returning items they bought too many of, didn't end up needing or received as a gift.

Return desk people ask if there was a problem with an item and if so it is handled as a defective product, if not it will go back on the shelf.

Stores just don't have time to open every return and test it before putting it back on the shelf. It's not any different at Sears, Home Depot or any other big box store.
