Lowes in Pekin, Illinois - Delivery driver

My lowe's delivery driver was getting ready to install my 3rd frig from lowe's, lowe's had to repair my copper water line the last time i got a refrigerator delivered, this driver see's the repair , says it's mold and pulls it off as i'm telling him, that is not mold it's a repair lowe's did, water started spraying, and he told me the, that the mold had stopped the leak, I explained to him, that was a repair by lowes, a plug and mold will not hold a copper water pipe from leaking, their were no leaks anywhere before he pulled the plug repair out, The dept manager, said my fix by lowe's the last time was not meant to last a life time, This really made me upset, I will never buy another lowes appliance ever

The Lowe's driver obviously has no experience with copper plumbing.

When copper oxidizes, it first turns dark brown (like a copper penny), and then if left undisturbed into a somewhat moldy-looking green.

This is normal. If you notice the pipe starting to deteriorate around areas that have a lot of green, this may indicate a leak in the pipe that is introducing more water into the area, speeding oxidation.

Just keep an eye on it to ensure it isn't deteriorating.

Usually, the layer of oxidation forms a good protection of the copper behind it against further oxidation, and in this way that green stuff is beneficial.

In other words, the guy broke it! You don't say, but I assume you or he fixed it.

Same thing with me. I have my sales tax exemption certificate. My tax id and the rep still said this is not what they need. For same documentation I presented and Home Depot, Walmart and SAMs club they gave me the tax exemption status immediately without any problem.

Samsung Washer And Dryer Review

First and last time I order a product online. At check out it says someone will contact me to set up a delivery time. Instead, Randy called with an attitude telling me "So do you not want the washer and dryer anymore? We have stuff to do" and continued being a complete *** through the whole 8am call making me feel like spending my money at Lowes was an inconvenience for him!

Recent Purchase at Billings Montana Lowes

After today, if there were any way to give negative stars to the Billings, Montana Lowe's store-- I would!! On June 30, I contacted the Appliance Department at Lowe's about purchasing a GE Washer and Drier set that were on sale. I spoke with a customer representative, who seemed to be quite knowledgeable. I decided to purchase both items for the sale price of $359 each; which was a total of $718. I then informed the customer representative that I would not be able to pick up the items until after the July 4th weekend in which he reassured me that there were several of these washer and driers in stock and he would mark one each as sold for me and be ready for pickup on July 12 when I told him I would be in. Please realize that I have to travel 120 miles one way to pick these items up. This afternoon (July 12), I arrived at the Billings Lowe's store for my pickup. I immediately went to the customer service desk to inform them that I was available for the pickup. They took my receipt and asked me to wait at the pickup doors, which I did. I waited for over 20 minutes until one of the cashiers asked me if I needed any help. I explained my circumstance and she immediately placed a call to Customer Service. I then waited another 15 minutes for one of the pickup workers to ask me if I needed any help. I again explained my circumstance. He then placed a call to the Appliance Department with NO answer. He then called an Assistant Manager to come and talk to me. The Assistant Manager reviewed my situation and informed me that the Appliance Department representative was given the order to retrieve my washer and drier, but could not be reached in the store. He then informed me that he would get the items himself. The assistant manager returned about 5 minutes later to inform me that the GE Washing Machine was there, but the Drier was not in stock and was en-route via truck. I asked about why my June 30 purchase had not been marked as SOLD, and he said that apparently the Appliance customer representative FAILED TO DO HIS JOB. I was then given the assurance that once the drier arrived (4-7 days later), Lowe's would be willing to deliver both items to my home 120 miles away. HOWEVER, the delivery scheduler was unwilling to release a truck sooner than July 23 because of other deliveries IN TOWN. Needless to say, the best assurance I could get in regards to all of this is that I MIGHT get my items by July 23, but that was only contingent on the truck arriving in 4-7 days and IF the drier was even on the truck, AND then getting Lowe's to even deliver the items in a timely manner. Not much reassurance there!! So I was stuck in Billings with no items that I had previously PAID for and little reassurance that I would ever get my items in a timely manner. I then decided to go across the street to the Home Depot. I explained to them what happened and this was their solution: They sold me a GE Washer and Drier set that was one step up from the Lowe's set that I bought but never received. They matched the Lowe's price. And they gave me a set of hoses and a plug-in for the drier. So I left Billings with a new GE Washer and Drier set, but from a different store that was willing and HONEST about selling me these two items. I have never had an issue with Lowe's in the past, but this one here has left a terrible bitter taste in my mouth. I can only hope that since Lowe's lost a $718 sale today that the person who FAILED TO DO THEIR JOB no longer has one. That is about the only reassurance I can possibly take away from this experience. The one bright spot in all this was the willingness of the Assistant Manager to try and make things right. I have no qualms with him, and I would like to Thank him for his efforts. But, I also want to thank Home Depot for stepping up and making things right!!

Realistically, the Home Depot probably gave your product that was already sold to someone else that wasn't marked.

I have worked in both HD and Lowes in the appliance departments, and yes the event you explained happens far to often.

The biggest issue, without trying to sound like an excuse, is the actual appliance companies only let up keep so many in stock at a time, at any given point there may only be one or two of what ever appliance you are looking at.

Sometimes this number includes the display.

The appliance trucks from our vendors are shipped by weight as well, not inventory need. A battle I fought for 3 years. What ever gets the truck to the specified Pound limit, that all they send.

I'm glad you got what you needed, being so far from home, and yes poor communication across the board. but please just know, there is more alike at HD and Lowes then differences

Lowes - Review in Supermarkets and Malls category from Tucker, Georgia

1.9
Details
My husband and I purchased a new fridge, oven, and dishwasher in May. Our fridge, when delivered had a bunch of dents and dings in the front right door. I immediately called and was told by a appliance manager he was ordering us a new door and should be there in a few weeks. We never heard from him. Being that it's July now we called- Conyers Georgia and spoke to Daniel in appliances who was nice on the phone but unfortunately gave us the run around- my husband ended up having to go up to the store after not getting anything accomplished over the phone- he was told a door would be delivered in a few days that they had new fridges in the back. When we got our door after it was installed 15min after the delivery men left our door alarm to our fridge started going off...we made a lot calls that day... Nobody wanted to come back out- I made a appointment with the warranty we got on the fridge to come back out 3days away- another for the next day to "look into it"-lets just say it took my husband having to tell lowes that he was going to bring the entire fridge to lowes and drop it at the front door and cause a scene to get someone back out- and they didn't show back up until after dark 930pm this was after he had to make a second phone call and was also disconnected. After the alarm had been fixed my husband stated to the guy that fixed the issue the door is now not on our fridge properly it's actually slightly off and not flush- the man that was sent out agreed we were sent a messed up door and we were told our door was actually the display door off the sales floor!!!!!!! NOT A NEW DOOR. We spent a lot of money at lowes not just buying our appliances but other things as well.... After this is said and done it is the last time we will ever purchase from lowes. I work with customers on a daily basis and this would never happen at my job

Lowes - Forced Air 50 Gallon Electric Water Heater Purchased in 2012

1.0
Details
I purchased this POS in 2012 and have had service calls on it 4 times. Every year, like clockwork, the unit goes into a an error cycle of attempting to run 3 times, stops and tries to restart, then shuts down and goes into error mode. Eventually, it will try and reset itself, and does the same thing. We lose hot water, I call for replacement parts from the number on the tank and pay for a service tech to replace them. Then it works for a year and we start the cycle over. I'm never buying ANY appliances from Lowes again. I'll go with contractor recommendations or the local heating and cooling company that does the repairs. *** unit sold by Lowes. Shame on them.

Lowes - Review in Supermarkets and Malls category from Nevada, Missouri

Lowes - Review in Supermarkets and Malls category from Nevada, Missouri
Went to lowes this morning to buy a dishwasher at 48th and North Oak Trwy, I stood in the back waiting for somebody, went to the front to ask for help and a woman by the name of Caree stated another person was back there very rudely, and that they had 2 of these dishwashers, I then proceeded to the plumbing section where I heard Caree telling this other employee that this guy said nobody was back here, my business has bought numerous appliances from lowes before without incident, but the rude actions of this employee has sent me to buy products from the Home Depot from now on out.

Lowes in New Carrollton, Maryland - Customer Service-NOT

Went to the Lowes in New Carrollton Md today to purchase some odds and ends. Decided to purchase a rocking chair that was located outside the store. Upon going to the cash register and inquiring how to make the purchase- she explained needed number of off price outside. Went back to retrieve and pay for items. Waited 25 minutes for assistance to unlock chair. When assistance came- my husband informed her we had been waiting and were quite frustrated. She REFUSED to unlock chair and walked back into store. When I went into get my money back- I was told to get at back of line. Will NEVER EVER shop here again!
