Learned our lesson

Lowes is less than half a mile from our home, but we have learned our lesson.Go To Home Depot. For the second time on a big ticket item, Lowes fell short. The North Augusta store doesn't seem to have anyone in any department who knows anything. Go to Home Depot, and the have knowlegable people ready to help in any way they can. We won't waste our time going to Lowes. We will travel the extra miles to go to Home Depot.

Faucet Stolen off Porch

I rarely buy anything from Lowes, but I purchased a $700 Moen Faucet which was supposedly put on my porch by Fed Ex, but never seen by us. Now, Lowes wants me to sign a $50 Appeasement Agreement, I am a 20 year cardholder. I am not joking, no one at Lowes could care less.

That's strange.....why would FedEx leave something that valuable on your front porch without making someone sign for it? They should at least have called and found out when you would be home so that they you could be home when they would deliver it.

Or you could have told them to leave it with a neighbor until you got home.

That's why the United States Postal Service leaves slips in your mailbox saying that you have to go pick up your package at the post office. They don't want to leave anything that could be stolen.

I don't know that ordering a $700 item and having it delivered to your porch is a good idea. You would have been better off picking it up at the store.

Hopping mad!

Not happy with Lowe installers for rug in bedroom.. they cancelled the installation 2 times and finally came 3rd appt.. Installers sort of uncivilized, no time to talk and apologize for two appts change for the installation. I had taken the days for that purpose to be home.. In fact installers avoided talk at all.. even greeting. One came to door and other stayed out in driveway, I came out .. He did not greet me like normal person. They did a sort of a rush job with the carpet, just apology for canceling two days installment, would have been appropriate, as well as introducing themselves... Lowe does not use civilized appropriate workers as far as I can see.

The people doing the actually installation of your carpet may have no idea that your installation had been delayed. They just go out to the jobs the scheduler has them set up for when they show up to work in the morning. Many of the installers aren't fluent in English and wouldn't feel comfortable striking up a conversation with you.

Lowes - Tile order all screwed up
Went with my mom to purchase tile for my house. My mom made the purchase for me and we specified that the tile would need to be delivered to my address. The staff told us they didn't have enough tile at the store to complete my order so they said they would call me when the order was ready to be delivered. I told them I had no problem waiting for the order.. We paid for our order and waited several days for them to call. About a week after that, they attempted to deliver 5 pallets of mixed dye lot tiles to my house" not even the correct order." Well i had no idea that my order was ready to deliver because I never received a call, nor did my mother. Nobody answered the door at my house since we had not expected a delivery yet. The driver decided to take the order to my mothers home instead. My mom, at that time, had assumed that they had scheduled the delivery with me ahead of time and that maybe I had made a mistake of not answering the door or not being home for the drop off. So she told them to just leave the 5 pallettes of tile outside on her carport because she didn't know what else to do. Later that day i got home and found out what happened so I called lowes to inform them that this delivery had never been scheduled ahead of time. I requested that they "schedule" a re delivery to the correct house with the correct order, so that I can be aware of the delivery and prepare for it. They assured me that they would redeliver the pallette the next day anytime from 8am to 12pm. The next day, i waited at home for the delivery, nobody showed up so i called lowes again. I spoke with a different staff member this time and she told me that the driver had no idea that he was supposed to redeliver the tile that day. He said that my mother already accepted the tile. So I explained everything again to this new staff member. I explained that the delivery was never scheduled with me or my mother, we had no idea the order was even ready. I explained that the order was wrong as well and that the dye lot numbers did not match. There were several different types of boxes with different dye lot numbers on them all mixed within these pallettes. I should have had all of the same exact dye lot numbers on all of the boxes. We spent over 2,000 on this order of tile and specified a certain dye lot # for the entire order because we wanted the tile to match through the whole house. The original sales lady told us to order all of the same dye lots so that we don't end up with mismatched tiles and that is what we did. Anyway, the new staff member explained that the driver was possibly confused. She told me that she rescheduled the delivery of the correct order for another day.. So now I am expecting the delivery and I am at least aware that it is supposed to be delivered on a certain day. Hopefully they deliver the correct order this time but I am not confident that they will. Im not sure they will even show up at all.. I hope Im not stuck with 5 huge pallettes of mismatched tiles. I will probably ask for a refund if nobody shows up to deliver on the specified day or if they deliver the wrong order again. At that point I will probably just buy my tile from a different company.

Update: today a staff from Lowes called and informed me that they had decided to refund my money. Then, she said that I could just pay for my order over the phone and that she would just pull my order from other stores and have them delivered.

This makes no sense to me at all. I had not asked for a refund although I had been damn tempted to. Why would they refund my money and then call me to ask me to pay for my order all over again? This sounded so shady and now I have a really bad feeling about this situation.

I only need three pallettes of tiles with matching dye lots, this shouldn't be this difficult to accomplish. Anyway, I told the staff that I would have to confirm that a refund had been sent and credited back onto my debit card before arranging to pay for the order all over again. I explained that I did not want to be charged twice for the same order. Well, I called my bank and the customer service rep with my bank informed me that a refund had not been credited to my account and that there was no refund pending from Lowes.

So, I called Lowes and asked to speak with the same staff member that had called me earlier to inform me about "the refund." apparently that staff was on a lunch break so I will have to try again later. I am so tired of dealing with this. Why cant they just get the order right, pull the correct 3 pallettes with matching dye lots, schedule the delivery with me, drop off the correct order to the correct house and also it would help out a lot if they sent a sober delivery driver.

The last delivery driver reeked of alcohol and sounded confused. To be continued

Update: Today they attempted to deliver another order of mismatched pallettes of tile with different dye lots. Whoever pulls the orders at the warehouse seems to just pull random pallettes with different dye lot numbers..

I just looked at the pallettes before the delivery driver even bothered to get them off the truck. I spoke with the staff at the store again and she told me that she would personally pull my order. The delivery driver offered to pull my order himself as well. At least i don't have huge pallettes of "random" tile sitting outside my moms carport anymore lol.

The delivery driver picked them up. Will try one more time and see what happens :/

I am not pleased with how my return at Lowe’s went today I am a general contractor and after working on irrigation assignment for past six months I had accumulated a lot of plumming pipes this cashier at the return desk did three separated transactions of gift cards to do the rest of my returns she asked for reciepts which I did not have as i paid cash for all my items. Question is why is cash not good anymore why are we limited on returns when we spend our hard earned purchasing it yes we are told to bring ur reciets upon return but with employees we tend to not have it available on returns paid cash that sucks

Get a MyLowes account. It will keep a record of your purchases so the cashier can just scan your card when you return stuff and you won't have to worry about keeping track of all those receipts.

What kind of contractor doesn’t keep thier receipts for at least tax purposes?

They still give you a receipt when you pay with cash. The only people that don't get a receipt are those that took the merchandise without paying for it.

It isn't uncommon for stores to place restrictions on n returns without receipts.

If you are a contractor you should have your receipts in a file for accounting purposes. Bring them in and make your return much easier.

Video of water running into my house after lowes installers did the windows install. over 2 months in now and still no repairs and house getting wetter with each rain. https://youtu.be/kBGkQlZUELE Initially LOWES said installers did nothing wrong and my house was already leaking before the install. They did a thermo reading report to justify this. So we opened one of the inside walls that they claimed was wet to prove that it wasnt. Next they sent a claims adjuster out who verified wall was not wet and that the thermo reports are useless. next we wait a month for claims@***s to get involved even though I know the adjuster had the report in within 5 days. This entire time house is leaking with every rain & getting more damaged. Now claims@***s has it but of course haven't heard from them yet. it has been a nightmare. Cannot get a straight answer as to why a microwave oven cannot be installed within a month from ordering. One day we are told it has arrived, the next day, it has not arrived. Now, WE are supposed to check with a different Dept. at Lowes and prod them to action. The sales person has washed his hands of the problem.

The salesman has no control over their deliveries and installation. They are handled by a separate department.

Why wouldn't you want to deal directly with the people responsible for delivery and installation?

It doesn't make sense to have a person in the middle taking your call, then calling the installation, people, calling you back and if there were questions for you starting the whole cycle all over again. Communications would be much better if you talked to the installation department yourself and that is why the salesman has stepped out of the circle.

1. Signed Customer Contract 4/13/17 for bathroom renovation. Work was begun at the end of June, 2017, In July the contractor, Kevin with KAM Construction did not show up for nineteen days. Work was not completed until the end of July. 2. The first week in August 2017, I contacted Lisa Dockray at Lowe's to advise that the finish was cracking on the vanity. I constantly tried to contact the store several times because no one was responding to my complaint. I received replacement parts in February, 2018. 3. Contacted store in the summer of 2018 to let them know that everything was doing the same thing. This went on again for several months. 4. Complaint was referred to Jamie Williams & she was sending someone to replace 1 drawer instead of what I told her. This went on with her for a couple of months when I contacted her supervisor , Elio Rivera, in January 2019. He referred me back to Ms. Williams who sent out someone to take pictures. By this time I also had a double drawer with a problem keeping the drawer closed and the finish on the marble top came off in two places. 5. Ms. Williams contacted me and first told me that it was all water damage. that I caused. Each time I discussed this problem with her she tried to make it my fault and never gave me the impression that she was trying to help me. She finally called back a few days ago and said she contacted the manufacturer who told her that the warranty expired because I purchased the items when I signed the contract in April 2017. 6. I called about the original problems within a little over a week after it was installed. Their way of HELPING me was by DELAY, DELAY and MORE DELAY. They left me with a very defective product and out of well over $10,000 for a messy renovation.

Delivered new oven, driver broke front 2 legs installing we did not see it until after he got our signature. lowes said too bad

bought new frigidaire oven,2-19 driver delivered it and was having trouble handling it by himself. Sure enough after getting our sinature he left. That evening when got home noticed it was not level, got down and looked underneath it and 2 legs were broken. called Matt at claremore, Okla. store, he promised to get someone out here to inspect it the next day, no show. Went to lowes store next day no one able to help with it had reciept. Went home disputed it on cc, lowes finally showed up today 4-1 and said to call frigidaire, they could not help us, they did not have parts. I cannot imagine if i ran my business like this. What can we do here lowes inv 98881.

The people from Lowe’s were pleasant to deal with BUT The contractor they sent out to repair our refrigerator were anything but. It took almost 2 weeks and 4 visits to finally get it fixed. They ordered the wrong compressor twice, and the dispatcher was very rude. I’m not a satisfied customer.

I bought a dishwasher on Tuesday 3/12 and set up for installation service that they assured would be more than a few days. I waited until Friday and called since I had heard nothing and they said they would have the installer call to set a date bun no call so I called 3 times today 3/18 and finally got call but the install date is 3/25, about 2 weeks after I bought it. I WAS PLANNING TO UPDATE A NUMBER OF MY APPLIANCES BUT WHEN I DO IT WILL NOT BE THROUGH LOWES….
