Lowes Maytag Refrigerator Extended Warranty Worthless

We purchased an Extended Warranty for Maytag Refrigerator in 2012. Fridge is now (2015) leaking into bottom of freezer compartment, sheets of ice forming. We called on August 6th, 2015 and Lowes said they could not send anyone until September 3rd - when we are scheduled to be on vacation. Almost ONE MONTH lag time from call to appointment. We are afraid to leave the refrigerator on while we are gone because it may leak onto floor and cause damage - we will be out of town for about 3 weeks. We called again on August 18th - Lowe's is still unable to send anyone sooner than Sept. 3rd. We are not covered to hire another company to fix the fridge. Why would anyone buy this obviously useless Extended Warranty? Why would anyone shop at Lowe's with this kind of service?

Lowes in Laredo, Texas - EXTENDED WARRANTY MY ***

Lowe's has by far the worst customer service. I've been dealing with their service advantage call center regarding a GE non-working washer that is still under manufacturer warranty and my issue has not been resolved. Every time I call, which I called more than 5 or 6 times, and I talk to a different service representative for more than 30 minutes each time, a different "possible" solution is offered/mentioned and nothing has come out of it. And the following time I call there's no record of what the last customer service rep told me. Meanwhile almost 3 weeks have passed and I am still stuck with an appliance that doesn't work. Last week I was at my breaking point and asked to the manufacturers number so I could call myself (I'm doing their job!) GE followed up less than 24 hours later and told me they had no record of lowes contacting them to fix my washer so I missed the chance to have it replaced because technically the claim was filed only one day before they called me, when in reality I've been dealing with lowes for 3 weeks. Their apathy towards solving the customer's issues is disgusting.

Lowes in Augusta, Georgia - Water heater installetion!

We was purchased water heater with installation. Customer service in store was very well. Person who helping for purchasing was very well. Installer absolutely difference story. He was delivered water heater and delay for 30 min. After observation utility space he was told me that he not able to installed water heater, because of different with diameter in exhausting pvc pipe does not match and we have to found different water heater with exhausting pvc pipe with diameter 2 inch and recommended founded different dealer or installer. I was found local plumber who provided equipment and installation with out any problem. He was very surprised on explanation first plumber and told me that any water heater with exhausting fan came with adapter for different diameter pvc pipes, but it was cost me little more. So be very careful what you wish for from Lawe's installer!

I came to store and was told to order item online. Went home, made the order in a week got an email and voice mail confirmation for pick-up. Lowes - Installation Review from Lebanon, Ohio

My dishwasher broke. Went to purchase new dishwasher at lowes on 8/ 9. Purchased and paid for installation to be installed on 8/12. No one showed up to install. A follow up call was made to lowes and the need was to wait and wait for follow up. We were told they could not install until sat. 8/15. A call was made to lowes at 1pm and i was told they should be here today. No one showed up but we received a call later in the day that the dishwasher could not be installed today. Unbelievable customer service. An absolute joke. I will be going back to lowes for a refund and purchase another dishwasher at another store.

just curious about the call 23 May 2008 I didn't answer the phone. They called and didn't leave a message. I found out it was a land line from North Carolina. Then, I googled the number and people are saying it was Lowes. I just had work done in my home but that was weeks ago and how can someone in NC possibly help me IF there were a problem 2,000 miles and weeks later? I just don't get that. Not even a message. Stacey gave the worst Customer Service in the universe. Most often you'll find helpful workers, Stacey at the Lowe's on BayShore in San Francisco could use an ATTITUDE adjustment! Could someone speak to her? Could she wear a shirt that asks us to have patience with her, she's having a very very very very BAD DAY! We mean soon! This should reach her and she correct her atitude. When will we see a difference with her? Today or tomorrow would be good! Dave and Mike who have never wanted to get in her line while shopping at your store. Have a good day.
