Lowes in Cotati, California - Foundation Repair Material

Stick With Home Depot I called about material required for repairing my foundation. The first person I spoke to transferred me to an expert. A girl answered, when I told her I needed to talk to someone specifically about foundation repair I was put on hold, I could hear someone typing in the background, then the elevator music started. This went on for a few minutes until I was disconnected. I called back and spoke to a woman named Kelly, she didn't understand what a foundation was. She told me that someone would have to come out, for a fee of $35 and take a look at it. I'm doing this myself, all I wanted to know was how much the material will cost. I informed her that the answer would be in their inventory fee list list, not under my house. As I type this I am on hold again, with elevator music. How hard can it be to give a price on material? I just spoke to a manager, he said he was trying to find someone with the answer but they were all busy helping other customers, 20 minutes on the phone and no information. I'm sticking with Home Depot, they're the best.

Lowes - Still waiting on a washer/dryer to be delivered - promised noon, it is 7 pm now

This whole thing has been a fiasco. One Lowes store said they had it in stock, then they didn't, so we had to cancel the order because it would be close to a month before delivery. So we moved our order to another Lowes, and checked in store that it was really in stock because the computers are completely wrong about inventory. THEN, this Lowes didn't want to give us the same sale price even though the two stores discussed everything and we were promised the sale price. That finally got sorted out. SO today is delivery day - no call by noon so we called the store. A manager was very curt and said they had no way of knowing when it would arrive but it would be today. We said we were supposed to have it delivered around noon - all the info we were given prior. We were then told the window was noon-4pm. Then it was 5 pm - no call, no delivery. Called the store back and a manager said they'd call the delivery truck and get back to us. Waited an hour - no call. Called the store back and that manager had left for the day without telling anyone else to follow up, so we started the whole process over. Finally a manager got ahold of the truck and we were told we were next on delivery. Asked for a time estimate and we were simply told "no" by the manager and then they hung up. It is now 7 pm. No idea if this is going to show up today. I will not be making purchases at Lowes anymore.

Lowes in Jacksonville, Florida - Forced to unfairly pay more for tile instalation

I purchased tile from Lowe's for the family room , dining room and hall way. I paid to have a Lowe's employee come out measure and look around. I was given a price for everything, the tile, grout, thin set, self leveling material, quarter rounds to go on the base boards, and transition pieces. I was very through to make sure $ 4172.49 covered everything. They showed up at my house at 9 AM as scheduled, I was out of town at a meeting so my 24 year old son met them. He was told the floor was not level enough. He called me on my cell phone and I spoke to the installer that assured me someone from Lowe's would contact me in 30 minutes and they left. Of course I never received a call. When I returned home I called Lowe's after 3 tries to speak to a human being and being transferred to extensions that did not answer or hung up on I demanded a manager. I spoke to a person who at least claimed to be a manager but obviously was not very experienced and he transferred me to installation which said they knew nothing about it and would call me back. When they called me back they said I would have to pay $800. to have my floor leveled. To say the least I was extremely upset. We agreed on a price that I paid to have the work done and now that want more money. I told them fine we would level out the 2 spots they were referring to and to come back tomorrow. I was then informed if we leveled it and the installer did not think it was done properly they still would not install my floor. The manager finally cut the price to $400.00 which of course they demanded up front before they even show up. Keep in mind I spent an hour at work dealing with this mess and I have nothing but bare floors, all of my family room furniture and dining room furniture is shoved in every hole possible even outside under an awning, There is no where to eat dinner, no where to sit and this is already Wednesday. So basically if I don't pay them more money I am stuck. I have spent a small fortune at Lowe's over the years but after this I will drive right past them to Home Depot. I am anxiously awaiting what will happen tomorrow when they show up here. I will be here and I will watch everything they do.
