Lowes - Carpet Installation Review from Kennesaw, Georgia

I recently had carpet installed by Lowes, never again!!! The company they used as they sub contract out was Keller and the office people are horrible to communicate with. Once I got a date the installer showed up with no help and I had to re schedule after I left work to come home to take out all the electronics that I was not told I had to do, that was the stores fault. Once the installers left the next day I realized that they had not run the carpet under the base board in both corners in the back of the room as well as they had splashed glue on the bottom of my drapes which I know have to replace 4 windows !!!! God knows how much that will cost and I am waiting for a call from Keller who did the install !!!! Never use Lowes ever!!!

This is because the Keller company actually made half as much money as they would have if you had contracted directly with them. Lowe's keeps half of the contracted labor amount for themselves.

Of course the installer is going to rush the job and cut corners as much as possible!

And of course they are going to blame each other for the problems! Good luck.

Lowes review in East Peoria, Illinois: Lowe's E. Peoria, IL Window Installation

2.0
Details
Four months ago I hired Lowes to install windows at my residence. The windows are still unfinished as of today. Four months ago I hired Lowes to install windows at my residence. The windows are still unfinished as of today. The installer came by on the date agreed to and installed the windows but not the metal exterior trim, saying you did not want that done. Of course I wanted it done, that is what I paid for! That was 4 months ago, I keep getting promised that it will be completed in two weeks. Every two weeks there is an "issue" as to why it can't be completed that day. Whn I ask why they can't finish my windows the very next day or day(s) I'm told that the schedule won't allow it and it will be another two weeks. Store manager won't move my date up on their schedule, I called corporate to make a complaint and was assured it would be resolved and I would be contacted in 24 hours. Four days later I called to find out what the status was, and was told the store closed it out (E. Peoria, Illinois) as I "agreed" to their resolution. They never called me, and now I've lost all faith that my windows will be completed as my "agreement" was a complete lie. I'd prefer not to have to sue over this but here I am 4 months later with a project that has been fully paid for there is no sight of it being completed.

Resolved: Lowes review: Horrble Experience

I placed an order online with Lowe's for a store pickup. I was notified that all of my items were available for pickup so I went to the store to grab my items. Once I got there it took 1 hour for the associates to find all of my items, and nothing was organized at all. The associates had no idea what was going on. The customer service that I received while waiting was also ridiculous. I had my 2 year old son with me and they were not doing anything to try to speed the process up. If they say it is ready to be picked up, they need to have it ready to be picked up!

Lowes - Flooring Review from Watseka, Illinois

Went in search of flooring options. The man helping was a ***. We had basic measurement, width by length. Basic square room. Looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said "what do you want? So you measured the room... " was trying to explain what we wanted as far as options etc. Another employee walked up where we were standing to talk to this gentleman and acted at this point as if I were not even there.... Turned, began talking to the other employee, and said " when I'm done here"... And rolled his eyes at this employee, who then began to chuckle.... If I NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS MAN AGAIN, IT WILL BE TOO SOON. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND NOT CARRY A NAME WORTHY OF ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!;

Lowes review in Kent, Ohio: Saving money by selling poor quality fasteners? Oh please!

How much does Lowe's save by selling low quality fasteners? Can it be that much and worth the customer aggravation? I have literally spent tens of thousands of dollars at Lowe's over several decades. I'm generally happy with the quality of services, products, and value I receive. But the quality of fasteners sold at Lowe's is abysmal. I've lost count of the number of times screw heads have snapped off under the slightest pressure. The Hillman slotted SKU490121 #6 x 5/8" wood screws I bought last night is the straw that broke the camel's back. I am once again faced with drilling out the screw remnant, a completely avoidable situation. A screw is not rocket science. Lowe's - Get it right!

Lowes review in Chico, California: Deal of the day.

Just wasted more time than I care to think about. Lowe's deal of the day is no deal. Store says they have stock on hand but they don't. Employee says must be computer error. Called customer service to get the deal, they won't honor it. Every store in the area is sold out of the item. Clearly just a gimmick to get you in the door. As a professional builder with a Lowe's credit card who spends hundreds every week I'm a little shocked. I thought I would be taken care of over a $20 item. No such luck. Home Depot, here I come.

Lowes review in Sunrise, Florida: Kitchen redo

1.3
Details
If you are thinking of having a kitchen remodeled by the Sunrise, FL Lowe's store here are several reasons why you should look elsewhere. We signed a contract 2/12/15. We were promised that the job would take 6 to 8 weeks after issuance of the building permit. Probably faster because we would have returned to our home in Rhode Island and wouldn't interfere with the contractor. The building permit was issued 3/13/15. I was promised that I would be kept informed of the progress of the remodel. Of the seven phone calls made to Amie in installment sales by my wife and I, she never answered a one and never called us with information. Ten and a half weeks after the issuance of the permit I flew to Florida. When I got to my condo I found the sliding glass door wide open and the air conditioning in the full on position running full blast. The kitchen was less than 50% complete. Nobody at the store had an explanation and then said they were having trouble with getting their vetted contractor to return their calls. At that time we wrote to the CEO of Lowe's who assigned our case to a Lorraine in executive customer service. In June we found out that the original contractor had been fired. The new contractor told us he had taken over 7 jobs plus had several of his own so it would take a while to finish. The end of August we received an email from Lorraine telling us that the kitchen would be ready for a walk through on September 8th when I flew to Florida. When I arrived I found the new stove and refrigerator sitting in my living room along with uninstalled molding, and our old dishwasher that was supposed to have been taken away months ago. No cabinet hardware had been installed. The cabinets had been installed lower that they were supposed to be. The bottom cabinet molding on the upper cabinets is lower than the top of the kitchen faucet. We'll have to live with it or it might be Christmas before it was fixed. It is been seven months since we signed the contract. I complained to the store manager. The contractor arrived the next day and installed the stove and refrigerator. When I left for home on 9/11 two men were working in the kitchen and promised to have everything on my punch list accomplished by the end of the day. I hope they do as it would be the first time Lowes has kept a promise. But they didn't, I arrived in November to find the old dishwasher in my living room. I had to sign to reapply for the building permit as Lowes had allowed it to expire. My list of additional screw-ups is too long. They are incompetent and from the store manager to Amie and Craig who made all the false promises should be dismissed, but they are still there so stay away.

Lowes Appliances Department Review from Seattle, Washington

I just walked into a Lowes store for the last time. I went in to look at some appliances and couldn't find the one i wanted. A rep walked by me and i asked if she could point me in the right direction . She told me i have to wait while she clocks in for the day ....i stood there for 3 minutes waiting. When she came back to me she took off ahead of me and then pointed in the direction of the appliance and then she walked off. It was the wrong product so i went back to the register and asked her again and this time she simply pointed and said that way. At this point i get the feeling i should leave Lowes and not purchase anything, but my wife convinved me to keep looking. Eventually we found the right product and then moved on to refrigerators. As we were looking at them a store manager walked up to us and said "im the store manager and i wanted to just say something real quick". I thought he was going to apologize for the way his rep treated us but instead he began lecturing us about our miniature lhasa apso that was sitting in the cart doing nothing. His lecture included us not bringing our dog back. At this point i am thinking this is the worst experience i have ever had in Lowes and we left the store and headed to Home Depot to purchase the appliances we need for the home we are building.

Lowes Kitchen Floor *** Around

Lowes informed me that I should expect a call from the installer between 8-10 a.m. The installer called at 8:10 a.m. As soon as I received the message (8:20 a.m.), I called the installer and he said that I was supposed to be his first job, but since I didn't return his call fast enough (10 minutes), he had been instructed by Lowes to go to his second job first. He said he was on the way to that job and, therefore, could not come to my house until sometime in the afternoon. I called Vicky at the Lowes for Ann Arbor (248-591-4296) to complain and get a resolution, since the installer had not started the work at the location that was supposed to be his second job. She said she would try to find a solution and would call me back. She never called back. I'm still waiting. So far my experience with this company is that they do not know how to respond to customer complaints and their approach to scheduling work is unforgiving in the extreme. They will never say they're sorry and if you express frustration they put you on hold. If you call the national customer service number, (800-445-6437) you are subjected to a barage of ads. Only after you have listened to the ads for 5-10 minutes does the recording say that the number has been changed. Little wonder they have changed their customer service number. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
