Lowes in Four Oaks, North Carolina - Could not get service

I was in the Smithfield store 10/15/15 for the third time that day trying to redo my bathroom. I went back in the store around 5 pm and was waiting in the flooring department to get a price quote. I waited for around ten minute while the guy was on the phone. He did not acknowledge me at all. I could tell he was not with a customer on the phone. I went to the front office to speak with the manager they page him and he did not come either. I pass home depot everyday on the way home I just start stopping there.

I've had two bad incidents happen to me in the last week. The first problem was with a guy that was working the indoor lumber yard. I asked him if he could cut a few trim boards so I could haul them in my truck. He got all kinds of disrespectful, talking very rudely, saying he wasn't going to do that. I became enraged by the way this employee talked to me. I left Lowes and went to Menards and asked the same question. They took the boards outside and cut them for me. The second issue is I spent $3000.00 on a new Maytag Maxima washer and dryer set with pedestals. The machines came in a week earlier than the pedestals so I had to wait almost 3 weeks for everything to arrive at the store, all the while the warranty being in effect for 3 weeks and I don't have the machines in my house. i get a phone call today (10-14-15) and I am told the dryer is damaged and it would be re-ordered. It arrived at the Burlington store a week ago. You would think this dryer would have been inspected immediately upon its arrival to the store. ...guess not!

Lowes in Mcminnville, Oregon - Rude and Uncouth Customer Service in the Paint Department

During the past eight years that I have lived in this community, I rarely if ever shop at Lowe's Home Improvement because of the poor customer service I receive. However, like many others in this area, I use it in pinch if I have a general purpose D.I.Y. home need that doesn't require actual knowledge from an associate or a special order. The recent incident which I'm about to relate really is the nadir of the sum total of my experiences at Lowe's. Last Sunday night I stopped in to purchase several gallons of paint and had no less than four sales associates pass me by and ignore me when I tried to get their attention. After finally getting one associate's attention I was made to wait an additional ten minutes before I was able to get someone from the department to help me. She was an older lady, about sixty, and she was actually knowledgeable, if rude and abrupt. As I was about to leave she made several intrusive, inappropriate and cruel comments about my severe acne condition. If this arrogant sales associate had been a Gen X-er, youth and relative inexperience might have been invoked as a (pathetic and flimsy) excuse - but she was of a much older generation (a Baby Boomer) that SHOULD have known better and, in fact, DOES know better. I am a very patient man, but this is the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Congratulations Lowe's, you have finally alienated me. I will NEVER shop at any of you locations ever again.

You don't say exactly what the lady said. Apparently, your acne or skin condition was in full display and, like the dopey people who wear rings in their nose, men wearing ear rings, etc.

it is rather hard to miss. Some people feel the need to comment on what they see---I always ask the guy with ear rings if he knows something is growing on his ears for example. However, you seem far too sensitive about your skin condition.

It is what it is, however. Get over it.

Lowes in Denver, Colorado - Purchase and Install

I attempted to purchase a garbage disposal and installation. Sign said to tell the cashier that I wanted install. Stood at the understaffed check out area for about 15 minutes to get to the register. Slow because nothing was marked (in lumber area) with a sticker so they had to keep going to check a price. Once finally there I was charged for the disposal and paid, but was then told I had to go to plumbing to order the install. After standing there for a bit the lady finally got to me, asked a bunch of questions, filled out some things on the screen and got up and walked away. After about 10 minutes someone asked if they could help. I told them the story and they went looking for the other lady. She was found up front at customer service waiting for me to magically show up. I trudged up there with dog and disposal in hand signed the paper work, and then walk back to the opposite corner of the store where I was parked and where I originally paid for the disposal. That afternoon the installers called and said they would call to set an appointment. They did call back 2 days later and set an appointment for 10 days out. They later called back (about 3 days) and changed the time. The appointed day came and they did now show at the appointed time, but rather claimed that WE had the time wrong. The time they wanted to come at a time when we had clearly told them we would not be here. They said they would have to reschedule for two weeks out. Finally a call to the store got them to agree to be here the next morning. The individual was very displeased that I bothered him and offered no apology. Aurora, CO.

Lowes in Grandview, Missouri - Rude Manager

Manager "Irene" refused to help and only pointed her finger at the direction of a product that was not even available. When asked about a discount for a torn bag she simply refused and said "we don't do that" and when told that was the only bag and could get a discount when a lowe's employee said "yes we can give discounts, however it needs to be an override by manager" the manager said " I already talked to you and NO DISCOUNTS! Very rudely ... She needs to be fired if she does not know how to treat customers!!!! Other wise Lowes can just start seeing its customers decline and go elsewhere!

WRONG CARPET INSTALLED BY LOWES

Installed wrong carpet! We ordered and paid for SOS Soul Mate carpet with pet protection. This is a thick dense carpet. We asked for it to be the color of a low end thin carpet SOS Kindred Spirit. They delivered and installed the Kindred Spirit carpet. My wife told them it was Wrong when it was on the truck. Lowes was called and they kept stating the carpet has to BLOOM. I rushed home and its NEVER GOING TO BLOOM because its the wrong carpet! I took the both the sales carpet samples I still have into Lowes along with a piece of the installed carpet. Everyone in lowes flooring agreed we got the wrong carpet. Except for the RUDE Lowes manager that would not even look at all the samples I brought in. The manger called the installer owner that was NOT even at our house and he BLAMED my wife. To add she just got out of the hospital. Worse yet my 21 year old son notice money he had on his wall shelf in a box is missing today. He went into Lowes today and they told him they will get him the installers phone # or he can file a police report! WHAT!!!!! WE DID NOT PICK THE INSTALLERS LOWES DID!!!!!!!!!!

This is by far the worst store I have ever shopped at. I recently built a home and spent over $20,000 at my local Lowe's store. Over the course of the build I had to go to Lowe's dozens of times. What I encountered was employees and managers with complete disregard for the customer. Most employees are not aware of the products the store sells or how the products are to be used. It's crazy to go into the tool section and ask for a T 25 star bit and just get a blank look from the person working there. Also aggravating to enter the store to buy $2500 worth of plywood only to find out it's $300 cheaper at another Lowe's down the street. Then the manager tells me he can be competitors prices but he can't match the price of other Lowe's stores. WTF? Another day we went into to order $3000+ worth of Onyx shower walls and vanity tops in the woman working in that department could not give us any information on the Onyx products that were on display. She actually told us we might go somewhere else to buy the Onyx products. So we ended up going to a different supply house and actually ordered $5000 worth of Onyx products. Again WTF? We came in to buy our insulation that was priced at $13 per bag and we needed 100 bags. This seemed high so we checked another Lowe's store about 50 miles away and it was priced $8 per bag. After seeing that we just went to Home Depot. I can't really stomach shopping at Lowe's anymore.

Poor service received from Lowes in Norton VA during a remodeling project this year on our house concerning supplies, Pella windows, and reliabilt doors. We started the project in may and now it is Oct.and we are still waiting on doors and windows to be fixed since they were damaged when they arrived from company. Lowes has no competition in this area and they don't care how the customer is treated and they will tell you anything to get you off their back. Poor company poor service.

We need to install laminate for our house. We made an appointment for measurements with the measure guy. He did not show up. When I called him, he said he forgot. Alright, so he came about a week later. So a week was delayed from getting quote from Lowes. The measure guy said we would get the quote from Lowes the other day, at least in no more than two days. We did not get any calls in the following two days. So I called. They replied "I'm with the customer, I'll call you back." Now, it's been a week since the measurements was done, we never got their call back. In the meantime, I called everyday because every time I called I was promised to get a call back soon but never got any. Two weeks passed, I can't believe our constructed was delayed so much and we got nothing from Lowes. Their customer service is awful! They are so low in efficiency. And when an explanation is needed they simply end your talk with a pretext. The Lowes that we're dealing with is in Bedford Heights OH. Never got any good experience in there. I'll never choose to shop there if I have other options.

Lowes - Review in Installers category from Houston, Texas

For months I have taken my dog on a leash to lowes. Last week I saw a sign that lowes no longer welcomes my dog starting on October 1 2015. She is very well behaved and causes no problems. This is the lowes in tomball texas on FM 2920. Lowes no longer gets my business. My dog is ALWAYS welcome at Home Depot!!
