Lowes - Warranty Review from Mason, Ohio

Details
Bought an expensive exterior Reliabilt door not even six months ago and the glass shattered from heat. They said reliabilt doesnt cover glass but lowes is willing to replace the glass one time. What do I do when the glass shatters from the heat again after warranty runs out? I told Lowes I wanted to exchange for a door of equal value from a different company because obviously RELIABILT sucks. They said no to the exchange. I think its great lowes is stepping up to the glass part but its only going to happen again a door exchange is all I asked for H with good reason. I am on a fixed income and when stuff like this pops up I have to do without in other aspects of my life.

Cookeville TN Lowes employees and store are terrific .Pompano Beach fl. store and employees stink . Four employees in customer service area ,no one will look at you or say hello, will be right with you . Waiting for another clerk to take care of you Everyone is too busy talking to other employees or talking on cell phones ( sounds like personal calls ) . Employee in hardware sounded annoyed that I asked questions . . I was looking for screen tite product ,clerk didn't know what it was and told me to get a number of the product , finally he came down to the product area and told me they had no more and go to lowes.com WE shop at Lowes a lot , I'm a home handyman . Maybe Pompano doesn't want my business. Home Depot isn't far . James Barteld , Pompano Beach Fl. and Hanging limb Tenn.

Needs a manager available to customers ,get out of the office and walk the floor . Go to Publix and watch the managers work .

Lowes stores in Vancouver WA...

Wonder if Lowes managers or someone in charge of these stores ever wondered why so few people are at their store..but walk over to Home Depot and the lot is full and many in store. I tried to go to Lowes..they do give veteran benefits but thats about it. Original complaint was regarding paint for deck at Lowes on 198th in west Vancouver. Got couple different stories ...on types of paint for deck and in garbage that differed. Finally went to Home depot..Latest was buying Hardie board...no one at Lowes knew how to install and none knew there is a Hardie board saw blade. Went to Home depot ...this was a bout a 500 dollar order.... Yesterday Sept 12 was at Lowes up on 500 heading up to Battleground...stopped to get few hundred in construction materials...at 8:30 am....loaded up and got to counter..accepted my 214 vet card...and called for manager....Actually called a number of times...with no response in 15 min...Although no one in store in that time there were 5 persons lined up behind me. Finally gall asked the employee across from her for help..and he said he was not a manager don't ask him for help I did not realize at time he could have been checking out those others standing there...Finally a sales manager showed up ...after many calls....and use his card to approve my vet benefit....and told others in line to go across to that employee that told off my sales lady...and motioned him to start checking them out. We had quite a discussion later about why was that guy just opening packages and made no effort to help the gal once she had problems waiting for a manager to approve my vet benefit...That guy should be fired....

ditto 100%. I have 25 years experience in home remodeling and have been passed over numerous times.

Always for someone in the "cligue" to get the job over me. Been going on for three years.

The first was the best. A part time loader and myself were going for a lumber position. Now we both started on the same day.

I had my experience in home remodeling. His was in horse training. Who do you think they hired?

Because he "interviewed better" .

That is the excuse they use when not selecting proper choice. Tell the customers that when they need to know how to fix their leaky roof or loose handrail.

Lowes is a joke

Lowes - Entry Door Review from Aurora, Colorado

Aurora colorado. Ordered a front entry door for my home $4400.00! They said it would take 35 days and didnt get it delivered to my home until 12 weeks later! Before i even ordered the door i had one of their installers measure for the door $45.00! When ithe door was delivered and the installers were ready to install it they told me the door was to tall by an inch and a half, and to narrow by 3.75 inches. They said they could not install the door. I called lowes several times to come pickup their door as it as sitting in the rain and sun just where they dropped it off. Finally after over a week they picked it up and said they would call me. That was over 2 weeks ago. So now im trying to get a refund and managers are lying to me. They tell me on the phone that they are having problems with power outages and the registers are all down! Lies! They say they will call me back but never do! I just want my money back so i can go to home depot and get my door! Shame shame on you lowes!! K.e. aurora colorado 9/2/15

Lowes in Ontario, California - Bad Customer Service

I have shopped at this Lowe's for the last time. I will be doing all my purchasing at the Ontario Lowe's where they understand the meanings of work ethics and customer service. I waited 25 minutes for some one to help me in the wall tile department. It took 3 calls from customer service! Then she gave me the wrong tile. The next day, after I had returned the tile & purchased the right ones, I needed to add a few special order pieces. Customer Service called Brian twice with no response & finally Justin showed up & tried to help. But it wasn't his department & he didn't know how to special order. He called Brian twice, saw him walking down the aisle & actually chased him down. Brian immediately said Lowe's couldn't order the tile I wanted, I'd have to call the company & order it directly from them. After 30 minutes there, it took 3 minutes for him to send me on my way. The next day I called the company & was told they don't sell to the public, Lowe's has to order it with a manual Purchase Order & that it's common practice. Fed up, I went to Ontario Lowe's where Terrence was helpful, polite, responsive & efficient. He ordered the tile, called the company to make sure they received the order & called me to confirm when to expect it. The Upland Lowe's management needs a few people like that! Everyone should shop in Ontario until the Upland store learns the meaning of customer service.

Lowes in Sherman, Texas - Don't buy washer and dryer

If you spend a lot of money on a washer and dryer you expect it to work.... Mine worked for a while and I was told the sound I heard was normal.... contacted a repairman later and he said that it was NOT normal. I can't get my money back now because I waited more than 30 days.. It took a while to decide I wasn't doing something wrong and since I work I couldn't get it back in 30 days so I kept it thinking I could get them to do something..Nothing yet. I have written letter to customer care to see what they will do but if it's like the last thing I bought at lowes I will get an email or call telling me they won't do anything. They sell it get it out the door and don't care about the customer. I spend a lot of money at different places and Home Depot does a much better job of customer service. lowes could use a few lessons on taking care of customers from someone. Every so often you need to do what's right even if it cost a couple of bucks on the front end...those people will be happy and come back.

LOWES ROUTE 9 S, MORGANVILLE NJ I just now came back from HOME DEPOT. 1. But before that I first went to LOWES, in Morganville on Rt. 9. There I waited patiently for about 10 minutes for three gentleman at the Lumbar Section to finish a conversation. 2. When I was finally attended to, I handed over a Stud, 2 x 3 - 96" and respectfully asked it to be cut at 49" for easy transportation. 3. When I saw the method of measurement, I asked the gentleman to please make sure the cut to be at exactly 49". 4. The Store Assistant said that he will cut it but cannot guarantee it to be 49' I was surprised and told him in Africa we are Metric but have the ability to cut wood precisely. 5. He then said that is why America is a super power and Africa not. I did not understand his point and did not respond but took the two pieces he handed me. 6. On the bench there was a Measuring Tape and I discovered the cutoff piece to be 49 3/4" 7. I said that now it is not what I wanted and not usable - he said that I am cursing. Which I did not, but thanked him for nothing and walked to the Cashier. 8. I decided to go to Home Depot and told the Lady at the door to please keep the lumber.
