Lowes - Washer And Dryer Review from Winter Park, Florida

Lowes in the villages is a racist store. First of all the villages have a small percentage of black residents. Iam from ocala florida. I went to the villages lowes because they had a washer and dryer that was not offered at any of the three lowes in ocala. I found out that they offered 10% off your total if you were a veteran. I gave them my military id card and my dd form 214 form but they would not accept it. They did not accept it because they say it did not look like the ones that they had on file. The ones that they had on file showed a white persons face mine showed my face which is black. i dont care about the 10% DISCOUNT but dont DISCRIMINATE. Ive serve my country protecting black and white. I feel bad. I will never step foot in that lowes again.

Lowes in Nanuet, New York - The worst customer service ever seen

I bought a snow thrower a year ago. It was a refurbished one and never mentioned to me. Its chute wasn't built in the right way. Took it to the store three times for repair. Imagine how hard to carry that machine to the store each time. Now three months have passed since the third time repair started by the store. No reply yet. Also they cancelled my Loews credit card without my knowledge or information. I called several times for the current status but they put me on hold for 32 minutes and hang up on me. I never go to Loews anymore.

Lowes - Window Installation Review from Barberton, Ohio

Lowes contaminated our home with lead dust during a window installation in October of 2014. This was a result of their failure to adhere to the EPA's regulations for RRP. When we asked them about what procedures should have been followed we were first told that Michigan did not have regulations that needed to be followed (false) and were then told that the installer was trained to be able to visually detect the presence of hazardous materials and he did not note any concerns (the lead dust samples showed contamination in the entire home at levels 5 times the safe limit). During the course of what they call a "settlement" they actively attempted to minimize their responsibility by fabricating material facts and attempting to obtain estimates for lead abatement by companies who had never seen the home. We were offered a srttlement amount much lower than the documented damages and told that they may be persuaded to increase the amount if we had our attorney contact them and explain what argument they intended to use in court. The kicker is that they never finished the project, still owe us windows, and never refunded any of the $35,000 that we paid them. As of the date of this note we have a home that we have not been able to occupy since October of 2014 and hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages.

Lowes in Covina, California - Lack of training3

Online says they install attic ladders, but says you need to go to store. Store says they don't; but when told the online service says they do they say then they do. It takes 7 employees to figure out how to do an install order. 30 minutes later we get to the cashier who says they didn't do it right and failed to push it through to finish it. 10 minutes later he comes back and shows us the paperwork. The names are misspelled and more importantly the address is wrong. He apologizes and says he will have to start over from the beginning, because he can't just fix the misspellings. Unbelievable that no one there knew what they were doing including the managers.

Lowes - Just a Front

Customer service boasted by this box store and for the most part it's just a front. How can a large store like Lowe's provide the customer service it boast if they staff a store that requires 220 employees with half that. They staff with part-timers mostly. Most of the employees don't know anything about the products Lowe's sells, some do, but most don't, they just tell the customer the same thing they can read from the product labeling. For Delivery, well, customers need to understand that some Store Managers don't know anything about delivery, they open up the board on a high volume store and over work the drivers they have and then gripe about the Overtime. They advertise Next Day Delivery, but the high volume stores do not have the resources or manpower to keep up with it. Only a fool will open a delivery board to full status and not have the resources or personnel to provide the service they advertise. So don't take your frustrations on the Department manager of Delivery, he or she is doing what they can to get the deliveries out especially since the CDL drivers can only drive 12 hours a day, by DOT regulations. The Dept. Mgrs are overloaded with work that ASM's should be doing plus answering phones from people who think the world revolves around them, like they are the only ones Lowe's delivers to. So next time you have a delivery scheduled, be patient and be home, sometimes they won't come back if you're not home when they call and come to your place.
