Lowes - Reliabilt Doors Review from Conway, South Carolina

Made a complaint to Lowes in regards to the Reliabilt door I purchased and it wasnt even six months old & the glass broke. Lowes sent someone to my house to check it out and said the glass itself was defective and they would replace it. (Mind you the door company wouldnt replace it but Lowes stepped up and said they would) Welllllll I waited and waited and didnt get my glass. I got on here and complained about it and Lowes called me. Well the NIGHT they chose to call I had burried my Dad that afternoon of course I was out of my mind and told them I was going to file a law suit against RELIABILT DOORS because this door is a piece of ***. They said RELIABILT DOORS warranty doesnt cover the glass. Nice huh? Soooo instantly the customer service rep says well I cant talk to you anymore since you said law suit. OK once again I burried my Dad that day and was crazy out of my mind & honestly can't tell you everything I said because I was so mad & upset. So Lowes DIDNT replace my glass & here I am heading into winter with a door that doesnt have the needed glass. I bought this door spent 1,200 dollars on it to stop the winter air from coming in and to keep my house warmer.I have NO money to buy the needed glass because I'm still paying for my Dads funeral expenses. I'm telling you I ordered all new Pella windows for my home from Lowes bought siding, lumber, kitchen stove, fridge, microwave, paint, tools, you name it Ive bought it from them and cant tell you how many THOUSANDS of dollars Ive spent there. YES I screamed about a law suit and it was meant to be about the door company I was insane mad and vulnerable at the time of this "customer service" call and this is what Lowes did for me. MY DOOR ISNT FIXED. The worst part is I LOVE the employees at my local Lowes they're outstanding why can't corporate be the same? Im stuck with a beautiful $1,200 door and the outside glass is GONE. This my friends is what you get when dealing with Lowes. I will put this on other sites, youtube, facebook, twitter ALL FORMS OF SOCIAL MEDIA so it goes viral and everyone can see whats happened to me with this door. I'm so mad over this and sad at the same time because I love the local store. I had thought at one time they gave me the wrong lumber for my enclosed patio and I hadnt figured it out till it was built (I'm a 49 yr old woman who has no clue about this stuff) and Lowes sent out two employees and they explained every detail about this lumber to me and went off my receipt I was WRONG. But they took the time to make sure it wasn't their fault. I can admit when Im wrong, why can't Lowes do the right thing and take care of this glass issue? Better yet why would they deal with a company who makes defective doors? This glass SHATTERED due to no fault of mine. I can't say it enough, my local Lowes has OUTSTANDING employees but corporate needs to take another look at this issue and do the RIGHT THING.

I have to say after writing this complaint that Lowes stepped up, called me the next day, and my glass was replaced a week later. THANK YOU Lowes!

I wrote this review and I have to say Lowes called the next morning at 9:00 AM and due to scheduling they said it would take a week. After a week the installer was here and my door is now fixed.

THANK YOU Lowes. Way to shine!

We purchased high quality fencing material and install from Lowes in Anderson, SC and have had the worst experience we've ever had. It was a 3 day install and that was Memorial Day...it is now October 21st and the fence is barely standing. We have tried corresponding with them for months and they keep giving us "we're working on a resolution" with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING being done. The fence was not installed correctly, some of the materials were incorrect or faulty and they left the work area looking like a trash dump with full concrete bags laying around that later got rained on and hardened.

Very Rude staff at lake park,florida Lowes

I was buying some fencing their a button to press when you need help. I was waiting for about an hour no one show up. I had to go look for someone to help me, they had no knowledge of what they were saying. I order the fencing for about $800 I pay them in advance they told me they had them in stock. 3 days later I came to pick them up no one had pull them out I had to wait for more than an hour. Finally Bonnie she is very rude show up with my things. That when she be telling me that there are missing stuff from my order. While I was talking to her she just walk away now I'm standing in the middle of the store no one here to help me.i had to ask for the manager Carrie she was rude also and didn't not even apologized for her misbehavior employer Bonnie. I had a very bad experience at Lowes very rude staff .no one is here to help you when have a question or need something.

Lowes extended waranty

Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator from Lowes 12/2012. Upper icemaker has needed repair 6 times in less than 3 years. Repairman says he repairs 15 a week. Warranty people say that it has to have 3 repairs in one year and not repaired twice in 1 month. Manufacturer warranty time period does not count. If you buy an extended warranty on an appliance from Lowes, BUYER BEWARE. It's not the 3rd time in a year but the 4th and not any 2 less than a month. If you buy a Samsung refrigerator, well I don't think an extended warranty is going resolve the problems anyway; especially from Lowes.

Lowes review in College Station, Texas: Service? What service?

The Lowe's in Bryan, TX is a joke. They sent me home with the wrong brand special order item. It took 2 hours to straighten things out, but that was just the grand finale. I have shopped there for years, but won't any more. Plumbing fittings are a jumbled mess - any box is guaranteed to have some different parts in it. Aisles are so crowded with "displays" that you can't move a 4' wide load down them. Lumber is more expensive than HD. I have NEVER had a male employee offer to help me load or strap down a load. The ladies who work there are very nice and helpful, however.

Liability purposes state that lowes employees are actually

not allowed to help load any material that would require you to tie

off or strap down... That would include strapping the material / product as well.

Things like 2x4's, plywood that raises over the cab walls... ect.

If the load were to somehow settle and come loose during the move, Lowes would be somewhat responsible... and before anyone gets all up in arms.

Its the way it is, because it happened and someone sued. The way the world works...

Now this being said, my store, we help people load all the time, but we do not tie off or strap anything, I'm sorry you have such bad service, We can make sure that is addressed.

To touch on the lumber prices being lower at HD, I'm not going to give you some long winded excuse as to why we have a better product, simple fact is they get there wood from Mexico, we get ours from Canada. That usually accounts for the 5-7% hike in price.

Lowes review in Natick, Massachusetts: Lack of service

I went to the Lowe's in Natick. I paid $35 to have someone come out the house to measure for backsplash and another $35 to have someone come out to measure for appliances. Each time I was told - you will be called in 2 days. Well it has been over 2 weeks and 2 trips to the store to find out why I wasn't called and to get service. All I got was an obnoxious customer service rep named "Joseph" who gave me the run around about speaking to the manager. So I got my money back, but wasted 2 weeks dealing with an unresponsive company that knows little about customer service.

The $35 detail as they call it is a joke.When I purchased my over the range microwave they wanted me to pay $35 just to come out and tell me that it would cost $135 to install the microwave and a bunch more to put in an electrical outlet above the stove, which they wont do but will refer me to an electrician then I can pay them to install the microwave. NO THANKS!

I hired my own electrician to install the outlet and the microwave for less than lowes initial charge.

NEVER HIRE LOWES FOR ANY MEASURING OR INSTALLATION SERVICE, YOU WILL REGRET IT

I work for Lowe's in NC and this is very common with the $35 detail. It is quite a successful little revenue maker for Lowe's Home Improvement because so many customers pay it and then do not get the work/installation done.

Every week I get a call from a customer that says they have not been contacted. We have a division, department , whatever you want to call it that is supposed to "handle" installation services. The last time I called it they told me to call the installer. Customer service associates like me who want to help you the customer get stuck handling it.

Yesterday I handed one to an assistant store manager who called the customer back and asked them to call the installer. Even after multiple, dozens, of calls from customers like yourself that have not been contacted by the same installer, Lowe's continues to use that installer.

Lowes Return Policy Review from Roswell, Georgia

Tried to make a return at Lowe's on Duke Drive in Alpharetta. My Lowe's rewards card/myLowes card wasn't on me so I offered my North Carolina drivers license to complete the transaction. The clerk wasn't familiar with out of state IDs apparently, and was unable to figure out how to enter the #. Same with her supervisor! For reference, there were 2 additional 0's in front of the number compared to the GA drivers license number. Couldn't tell her that!

Lowes review in Four Oaks, North Carolina: Could not get service

I was in the Smithfield store 10/15/15 for the third time that day trying to redo my bathroom. I went back in the store around 5 pm and was waiting in the flooring department to get a price quote. I waited for around ten minute while the guy was on the phone. He did not acknowledge me at all. I could tell he was not with a customer on the phone. I went to the front office to speak with the manager they page him and he did not come either. I pass home depot everyday on the way home I just start stopping there.

Lowes - Maytag Maxima Front Load Washing Machine Review from Lincoln, Illinois

I've had two bad incidents happen to me in the last week. The first problem was with a guy that was working the indoor lumber yard. I asked him if he could cut a few trim boards so I could haul them in my truck. He got all kinds of disrespectful, talking very rudely, saying he wasn't going to do that. I became enraged by the way this employee talked to me. I left Lowes and went to Menards and asked the same question. They took the boards outside and cut them for me. The second issue is I spent $3000.00 on a new Maytag Maxima washer and dryer set with pedestals. The machines came in a week earlier than the pedestals so I had to wait almost 3 weeks for everything to arrive at the store, all the while the warranty being in effect for 3 weeks and I don't have the machines in my house. i get a phone call today (10-14-15) and I am told the dryer is damaged and it would be re-ordered. It arrived at the Burlington store a week ago. You would think this dryer would have been inspected immediately upon its arrival to the store. ...guess not!

During the past eight years that I have lived in this community, I rarely if ever shop at Lowe's Home Improvement because of the poor customer service I receive. However, like many others in this area, I use it in pinch if I have a general purpose D.I.Y. home need that doesn't require actual knowledge from an associate or a special order. The recent incident which I'm about to relate really is the nadir of the sum total of my experiences at Lowe's. Last Sunday night I stopped in to purchase several gallons of paint and had no less than four sales associates pass me by and ignore me when I tried to get their attention. After finally getting one associate's attention I was made to wait an additional ten minutes before I was able to get someone from the department to help me. She was an older lady, about sixty, and she was actually knowledgeable, if rude and abrupt. As I was about to leave she made several intrusive, inappropriate and cruel comments about my severe acne condition. If this arrogant sales associate had been a Gen X-er, youth and relative inexperience might have been invoked as a (pathetic and flimsy) excuse - but she was of a much older generation (a Baby Boomer) that SHOULD have known better and, in fact, DOES know better. I am a very patient man, but this is the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Congratulations Lowe's, you have finally alienated me. I will NEVER shop at any of you locations ever again.

You don't say exactly what the lady said. Apparently, your acne or skin condition was in full display and, like the dopey people who wear rings in their nose, men wearing ear rings, etc.

it is rather hard to miss. Some people feel the need to comment on what they see---I always ask the guy with ear rings if he knows something is growing on his ears for example. However, you seem far too sensitive about your skin condition.

It is what it is, however. Get over it.
