ordered a fridge and a gas range. told lowes i needed it to be there 1-5. XPO calls and tells me 7-9. problem is..its a new house. I dont live here yet, I don't live in the city yet.. And I already took off work (losing $$ of course ) so that I could receive the delivery .. they would not budge on the 7 to 9. fine. what happens? i get a call saying that I wont be getting it at all tonight. but I can get them friday (hunh?() they say that even though its before 9pm the driver passed the time DOT allows truckers to be on the road or something. Why in the *** would they create a window so late or allow the route to be so unorganized . yea thats my story. i dont know whether or not to blame Lowes... btw XPO has about negative 5 stars on Yelp. why would Lowes keep on using them? oh.. nobody cares. . I Let them reschedule me for Saturday morning - but after reading other reviews, im disgusted and I dont believe them. may jusy cancel the order.checking out sears now

Lowes in North Kingstown, Rhode Island - Extended warranty on riding lawnmower

I purchased a Husqvarna riding lawnmower from Lowes along with a 4 year extended warranty. All is good with this transaction so long as you don't need to use the warranty. I called Lowes today because I am having a problem with the product. I was told that they would contact the warranty company, it seems that Lowes farms out their extended warranty contracts. The warranty company called me and I was told that they would have to try to find someone to do the service and arrange for a pick up. The turn around time was 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. I assume that they expect me to cut my lawn with a pair of hand shears. I AM NO LONGER A LOWES CUSTOMER for anything. The extended warranty is worthless

Extended warranties are for dumb dumbs. Do they ever explain what it actually covers or how it works?

No because they don't know! First red flag! Most extended warranties do not start until after the manufactures warranty ends. Second red flag!

My former company used to call them 100% profit. It's just a waste of money PERIOD

I am still waiting for my riding mower 4th week and the company that picked it up went on vacation! ( a lawn mower repair company that goes on vacation in the middle of the summer).

I told them give me back my mower and the $400. I put out for the warranty .they told me they would get me back the mower unrepaired if I wanted . They would give me $11.

dollars back of the $400. I am a Contractor who will never be buying any thing else from them.

Lowe's didn't manufacture the lawn mower so why would you expect them to warranty it? Even the extended warranty is from a company under contract with the manufacturer not Lowe's. I can't understand how people are still falling for the extended warranty scam after all these years.

Lowes - Possible New Customer

I have not bided on any yet and I'm wondering if I want to. I read the complaint pages. I have bided before on another site, but I didn't have to have an account just to bid to keep the money on reserve, when the bidding stopped it just stopped. Too complicated. If I decide to become a member I will. For now I think I will just look at what is showing on your website. My husband and I are looking for a 50" screen to put in our living room just in time for Super Bowl Sunday. That's all.

Lowes - Delivery Service Review from Plainfield, Illinois

I purchased a refrigerator (to be referred to as "item" here-forth) from the Bolingbrook store in IL and have encountered so many issues that I am surprised Lowes is still in business! The following are all of the problems I had to endure: 1. I purchased the item on Aug 1st and was told by the sales person that it would be delivered within 7-10 days and I didn't have it in my possession until this morning, Aug 17th, 17 days later. 2. I had been very specific, since I was told by Lowes that my item would be delivered on Aug 16th (day prior to actual delivery), that I would not be available on the morning of the 16th but rather in the evening and they stated that they would communicate that to the delivery company. Despite that fact, the delivery company attempted to deliver in the morning. I had to call Steve the store manager multiple times to sort this out on the 16th however he was unable to persuade the delivery company to deliver on the promised date. I was however, credited $50 and promised the first delivery the next day (Aug 17th) for the inconvenience, which I do appreciate. 3. The following day the item arrived first thing in the morning as promised and the delivery guys were very polite. However once they left I had noticed that one of the fridge doors were installed in a manner where one of the doors was taller than the other. I called the Lowes Store once again and spoke to a store manager, Samanthia, to see if she could have somebody come take a look at fixing the doors. When I asked for the GM's number she told me that I should wait until she tries to solve the issue before escalating,which I was naive enough to accept. I should have known better. Well the manager never called me back and now I found out that the ice maker was leaking. So I called the next day, Aug 18th, and got a hold of another store manager named John. It was very apparent that none of the managers talk to each other, keep logs of daily store event, or do any type of shift hand off. John had to call me back so he can figure out what was going on, since he was so confused and uninformed. He finally called me back and stated that he would have a brand new fridge delivered the next day and take another $50 off. At this point, I had to take Monday off and now I'd have to take Wednesday off and spending all this time off was costing me a lot of money. I was furious at this point and told John that he would have to do better. So he finally agreed to credit another $198 (odd number) and I agreed. At the end of the day l, they are fixing the issue but this is definitely the worst service I have ever received! I have purchased refrigerators before and it was not anywhere near as difficult as my experience with Lowes. I wasted my work Paid Time Off and hours of my life on the phone between Lowes and XPO delivery; hours I can't get back and shouldn't have spent. On top of that I even contacted Corporate and they never bother to contact me back regarding this.... John, the last manager, is the only on who did his job and he's the assistant manager on top of that...this probably means that he should be promoted and replace one of the other managers that attempted to assist me. I am military veteran of eight faithful years of service to my country and do not appreciate being treated this way.

Lowes Installers Can't Meet a Deadline

Jacksonville, AR - Bought an expensive safety fence for a pool. The most important issue for me was to have it completed by August 15th (which was weeks away). We signed and I paid. They show up but didn't have all the materials. I'm told they'll be back on Monday or Tuesday (the 17th or the 18). Nobody came. I called and now they say they'll be back to finish on the 24th. Really, you're only missing 2 posts and it takes weeks for Lowes to get them. I'm putting tarps over cement because its supposed to rain and they left it in my driveway. I don't know what really happened but I won't let them do it to me again. Larry W

Lowes Maytag Refrigerator Extended Warranty Worthless

We purchased an Extended Warranty for Maytag Refrigerator in 2012. Fridge is now (2015) leaking into bottom of freezer compartment, sheets of ice forming. We called on August 6th, 2015 and Lowes said they could not send anyone until September 3rd - when we are scheduled to be on vacation. Almost ONE MONTH lag time from call to appointment. We are afraid to leave the refrigerator on while we are gone because it may leak onto floor and cause damage - we will be out of town for about 3 weeks. We called again on August 18th - Lowe's is still unable to send anyone sooner than Sept. 3rd. We are not covered to hire another company to fix the fridge. Why would anyone buy this obviously useless Extended Warranty? Why would anyone shop at Lowe's with this kind of service?

bought carpet from Lowe's was bad they replaced it with the same kind that was also bad, so did an upgrade now that carpet has ridges 2" high which is either bad carpet or really bad installation and they will not stand behind it this time, will NEVER buy anything for them again carpet King stands behind their installation for LIFE. now for the experience they want at least 100 words, never buy from Lowe's, NEVER BUY FROM LOWES, NEVER BUY FROM LOWES ,NEVER BUY FROM LOWE'S DON'T waste your money buy from someone that will do the installation right and stand behind the installation

Worked at Lowes in Hampton Virginia. Many racists people at this store. I was treated very due to race. And the management knows all this is going on and does nothing if anything they engage int he racism from the delivery *** Manager Fred to another manager named Glen. I advise African Americans DO NO T WORK HERE. You will be degraded and treated highly unfair. Feel free to ask any African American there in private and I'm sure they will spill their guts. very racist. Unfair. And they will to anything to get rid of people who stand up for themselves

Lowes in Laredo, Texas - EXTENDED WARRANTY MY ***

Lowe's has by far the worst customer service. I've been dealing with their service advantage call center regarding a GE non-working washer that is still under manufacturer warranty and my issue has not been resolved. Every time I call, which I called more than 5 or 6 times, and I talk to a different service representative for more than 30 minutes each time, a different "possible" solution is offered/mentioned and nothing has come out of it. And the following time I call there's no record of what the last customer service rep told me. Meanwhile almost 3 weeks have passed and I am still stuck with an appliance that doesn't work. Last week I was at my breaking point and asked to the manufacturers number so I could call myself (I'm doing their job!) GE followed up less than 24 hours later and told me they had no record of lowes contacting them to fix my washer so I missed the chance to have it replaced because technically the claim was filed only one day before they called me, when in reality I've been dealing with lowes for 3 weeks. Their apathy towards solving the customer's issues is disgusting.

Lowes in Augusta, Georgia - Water heater installetion!

We was purchased water heater with installation. Customer service in store was very well. Person who helping for purchasing was very well. Installer absolutely difference story. He was delivered water heater and delay for 30 min. After observation utility space he was told me that he not able to installed water heater, because of different with diameter in exhausting pvc pipe does not match and we have to found different water heater with exhausting pvc pipe with diameter 2 inch and recommended founded different dealer or installer. I was found local plumber who provided equipment and installation with out any problem. He was very surprised on explanation first plumber and told me that any water heater with exhausting fan came with adapter for different diameter pvc pipes, but it was cost me little more. So be very careful what you wish for from Lawe's installer!
