Lowes Deck Building Review

Details
We contracted with Loews in West St Paul who contracted with a Jim Parker to do a deck for us. The cement that was poured to hold the posts were left at least 4 inches above ground… We feel taken advantage of. The deck is the worst i have ever seen and jim parker and Loews should be ashamed. Left my yard a mess and had been sold they would clean up - beware!!!!!

Lowes - Does my refrigerator even exist?

Went to Lowe's on 7/21, told to order the fridge I wanted online since it's a special order (Maytag 18.7 cu. ft. stainless steel, single door, bottom freezer). Ordered online on 7/21, date of arrival estimated 8/16. The week of 8/16 I get a call saying it's now 8/21. Ok. A couple of days later I get a call that it's now 8/28. On 8/27 I call the 1-800# to confirm the date arrival is still 8/28, it was. On 8/28 get a voicemail saying it's scheduled to arrived 9/2 and call to schedule a delivery. Call them (the local store) an hour later to schedule a delivery and the woman says, "yeah, it says 9/3 but I bet it won't be here until the next week, probably 9/11." I talk to her a bit, she's a young gal, obviously doesn't care about my situation (which is fine), and she's a straight talker, which I appreciate it. I believe her when she says "probably 9/11", but for kicks I called the 1-800# again to see what they say. 1-800# person says, delivery is definitely 9/3 if not before. I told her that the store told me possibly 9/11, and she says she does not know where the store got that info from (me: probably past experience?). I'm trying to keep a sense of humor about all of this - maybe my refrigerator is a ghost and doesn't really exist? I wouldn't be surprised if the week of 9/11 Lowe's calls and tells me it's the following week, and etc. and I'm a part of a study seeing how long a customer can be told something is delayed before they finally cancel and order. And I'm already expecting that IF it ever comes it to either be 1. the wrong fridge, or 2. the fridge arriving dented or damaged in some way. If it ever comes, and comes in one piece, I'll be grateful and surprised.

I have decided I am done with this store. After not seeing an available employee to cut wood, I asked one of the cashiers(who was playing on his phone) to help me find someone to cut wood. Instead, he pointed to the area where wood is cut!! I KNOW where the wood is cut..I NEED someone to cut it!! Wow! I also asked where plastic rolls are located. I was told a certain isle....that did not have any plastic. And then the kicker....we bought 3 gallons of paint and were only "allowed" one mixing stick, because "the weekend is coming up and we are short". WOW!! Not my problem you guys are short...I just spent $100 in paint. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, NOBODY TO HELP EVER.

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator with the bottom freezer drawer. The delivery team did not know to secure the fridge with the levers on the wheels. When I showed them that the fridge rolled out toward me they said "put more weight in the freezer". The fridge was making a lot of noise and Lowe's agreed to make an exchange. Only when I talked with the sales person did I learn about the wheel levers. This is a big safety liability. I've written to Lowe's with no response. Why should a customer train the paid professionals how to do their job? When I explained to the second delivery team they treated me with contempt. Do not work with them.

Assure me that all Whirlpool bottom drawer freezers delivered in the Gilbert AZ area have been re examined and properly installed. There could be rolling fridges out there with kids getting in the way.

Lowes in Cabot, Arkansas - Thy can't meet a deadline - the saga continues

Well it's August 26th and nobody showed up on the 24th. I had to call again and they showed up on the 25th but left it unfinished. They didn't have a fence panel and no idea when they could get it. I just called and left a message for an update on when they might be back. I've spent a small fortune doing projects with Lowes. The difference is I bought the materials and did it myself. I've learned my lesson. I'll never leave the installation up to Lowes again. I doubt it will ever be right until I rip part of it out and do it all myself. Please don't let this happen to you.

I purchased all new appliances from Lowes. They installed the fridge. We found out it was leaking. I called Lowes they ignored me then pushed me off to XPO which is now pushing me off to another company. I had to go threw my home owners insurance and now have to pay my deductible my rate will all go up because they subcontract everything. Instead of them handling it since I purchased from lowes and there name not a no name delivery company. My house has so much damage we are in a hotel. My child is disabled and partially blind and is struggling in the new environment. Yet lowes doesn't care. They did offer 20% if I wanted them to remodel my kitchen for the damage they caused. You should supply it for free. Lots more details but to much to write.

I have spoken to a few different people at XPO which have all been nice. Including Ron from New England.

But weeks have gone by and we still don't have a kitchen. We are eating out almost 3 meals a day. We are running out of money. We had to front money to purchase the tile for are new flooring.

Credit cards are maxed out. just feels like we are paying for a mistake that was not ours. It's been over 5 weeks. You can't imagine the stress we are under with a disabled child whom also has a visual impairment to be put out like this.

We choose to go through are home owners because they were the only ones whom seemed to get things moving and done.

But everything is a process and paper work. At this point if we have a kitchen by Christmas I would be shocked

Lowes in Woodbridge, Virginia - Dishwasher Washout

I ordered a dishwasher from Lowes on July 16, 2015. On August 24th I went in to have a professional installer come in and install it. They told me it would up to a week. On the 25th, the water line was still leaking and much worse. I tried to tighten the hose and it burst loose and sprayed water all over me, the kitchen and leaked into the basement. I called Lowes to see if they had someone who could come out that night and they told me it would be a week before someone would come out to handle it and that it wasn't their problem. Now I have a wet kitchen, water leaking into the basement and I have to replace the ceiling in the basement and mop up the water in the kitchen. I have to put out $200.00 for someone to come out to help me and Lowes told me that it would be up to 15 days before they could put the $149.00 back into my account, I would have to go to the store and the money back in cash and go to the bank in order to have the money to cover the amount that I am being charged for the Emergency. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to use Lowes.

Lowes in Tampa, Florida - Poor Installation and poorcustomer service

I spent $1300. for porch blinds. from W.Waters Tampa Location. First the blind store expert mixed up my whole order between loop chains & wands for the same 5 panel install. Paid them on May 27 2015 blinds came for the install a month later. Found out the order was all wrong & the manufacturer Coolaroo sent 3 different colored types of hardware. Ugh! Waited another month. Blinds come in but they send an installer who showed up at night in the dark for the install. I had to give him Sergio T. a flashlight for installation being it was a backyard screen enclosure.He couldnt finish the job that night so I had to wait another 3 full weeks for them to come back.Another problem arose. chain hardware to pull the blinds up and down falling apart. The installer does not fix it. He says call Lowes back. Here I am 3 months later now waiting for W. Waters Tampa Lowes to put in a repair order.Don't know how many more months I have to wait to have working blinds. I'm ready to call the credit card company to dispute the whole order. Lowes I give a poor service rating. I will think about Home Depot next time I have a big service job.
