Lowes - Installation Review from Columbine, Colorado

During a remodel my contractor purchased a Jacuzzi tankless water heater. The unit was installed and we tested it for a few minutes at a tine prior to moving into the home and actally using hot water on a routine basis. The unit costantly shut itself off. Various codes would show on unit but it really wasnt convenient to crawl up in the attic to reset it each time it quit. We were then told to switch off the breaker to ut for a few minutes and it woul reset itself. We had a total of 45 SECONDS of water Saturday. When I called Lowes I was given the run around. Ni satusfaction. And no hot water. I had a Rinnai unit for 10 years and was never without water. Im convinced this Jacuzzi is JUNK an Lowes could care less regarding customer service! Joe Spradlin

Details
The degree of damage to the products that I have purchased cannot be accidental. I suspect employees are actually damaging merchandise on purpose. I have spent thousands of dollars per year at Lowes. You have to check everything before you leave the store because you will find damage. The worst is when you wait weeks for a *** special order to come in, and when you go to pick it up it is smashed, bent, scratched, etc. The damage is often completely evident without opening the package, yet they still call you to come pick it up. This happens over, and over, and over, again. What the *** is the matter with that place?

I had some installers from Lowes to install flooring. When they came to install it, they said I needed to have some work done in some areas of the kitchen and they would do it on the side but Lowes could not know about it because they could be fired.

They are ***-artist. They tore my house apart.

Didn't complete anything,but did scam a lot of money out of me. They need to be behind bars!!

Newer buy from them. I have an extented insurance and still have to live without property working fridge for two months. Give my money back or replace you can't fix, you scams. Will start a claim at better business baur tomorrow hope they can solve this.

Mishawaka Indiana Store, 4:00pm 8/23/15 Plumbing Dept. asked a Lowe's Employee if he worked in this dept., his response ''yes, are you the one who keeps hitting the help button''? No I am not however can you help me once you have satisfied the previous customers request. ''What is it you want''? I would like to order a non-stock Moen Faucet for our Garden style Bathtub. He takes us to the computer terminal and shows us how we can find the item on line and order it. When I asked if we could have him do it or I use that computer, his response was no! ''You can go home and use your computer''! If this is where Lowe's is going with ''Customer Service'', I'm done with them!

Lowes - Flooring Department Review from Bloomington, Indiana

If you have plenty of time and I mean are able to push back your moving day by weeks then you may have no problem Lowes. In order to get someone to work on your job you talk to your sales rep at Lowe's who puts in a work order to Keller Flooring Contractors who then contacts someone local to do the job. So...when you have a problem like we did, not enough carpet was delivered. You have to call Lowes who then calls Keller flooring contractors who then contacts the people doing the work. A week later they send someone out to measure the areas not finish and the whole process starts over again. That was our carpet experience...as for the tile... Keller Flooring Contractors would not send enough laborers to get our floors done in a timely manner. A job that was supposed to take five days ended up taking 2 1/2 weeks. The quality of work was there but they definitely needed more help on our job to finish it up. Not to mention the countless days/hours spent when the laborers had to go back to Lowe's to pick up more material because the wrong amount was sent. Terrible experience never using Lowes again for flooring.

Lowes review in Comstock Park, Michigan: Over charged for work not needed.

Lowes quoted us one price for an installed water heater, but when their sub-contractor came out, they put in things that were not needed for an additional $150+. I asked them not to put in, but they claimed it was needed. I told them that I had already talked to the building inspector who said it was not needed but because I could not remember the inspector's name down at Alpine Township Hall, they just kept putting in the un-needed materials, charged me for it, and also over charged for the hours. I should have kicked them out of my house and not allowed them to finish the job. Lowes would not even hear my complaint to them about their sub-contractor. The building inspector came out and again told me that these sub-contractors are putting in these extra materials and charging customers for them whether they are needed or not. The offending Lowes store is the one on Plainfield Ave, Grand Rapids, Mi.

Lowes review in Beverly Hills, California: Dishwasher extended warranty

Just worthless, lowes cant even schedule a service call right so the vendors never show up to repair. Scheduled a repair and told Lowes to schedule me for the last appointment of the day but when I call the vendor to verify they said Lowes scheduled me for first thing in the morning. Dishwasher has broke 5 times in 18 months and qualifies for their warranty buy back but al I get is "I am Sorry" and no answers. I asked for a shipping address so I can send them the broken dishwasher since I cant use it and they hung up on me. If you need to get some sort of answer use Facebook and public shame them on Social Media, had a call from a supervisor within the hour and got some answers but still not all to every question I had. NEVER AGIAIN go buy from Home Depot.

I went to lowes in mccandless township on McKnight road aprox 2 weeks ago and here is my experience.. check out I present my veterans administration card to the cashier to receive what has always been a 10 % discount. instead this time I get told sorry sir you only quality for the discount on holidays. (being rated at 30 percent disabled by the va this did not sit well). I looked around saw the number for customer service and with out even a argument for the check out lady agreed to pay full price for my items. I took everything out to the car and called the customer service number briefly told them what had happened and they directed me to go back inside to the customer service department in the store to receive the discount. I entered the store and was greeted by a young lady that said she had received a call about my situation and was more then willing to help she just needed a managers override. she called for the manager and all of a sudden I was in the middle of world war 3.. here she came the exactly lady that had denied me the discount at check out.. her eyes where shooting right through me in what appeared to be disgust. she ordered the employee to check my veteran id again demanding I don't qualify for a discount being that she had already checked it. I inhaled deeply and tried to explain how I had called customer service described my id to them and got verification that I indeed do qualify for the discount. she only talked over me louder now. at this point in time several employees are gathered around and a spectacle is being made . the manager (ie original check out lady) demands im not a disabled vet. she says whats wrong with you anyhow you don't look disabled to me. again politely I begin to explain that not all disabilities are visible only to be talked over as she slammed her manager over ride information into the computer and then she stormed off leaving me standing there infront of what was now 3 or 4 other employees.. I looked up at the check out lady and laughed a little smiled at her and simply said wow your boss is a real nice lady isn't she. she smiled back and began to apologize for what had just happened of course it not being her fault I asked her to stop thanked her for her help and went on my way home. but wait it doesn't stop there. I told my wife and she was obviously upset calling the store and corporate writing emails and taking to face book to tell the story of a home improvement store that treats there vets horribly. her family owning a small family business themselves she did not put the name of lowes out there in any way shape or form but let people know that something happened. I too called to file a complaint and was told someone would get back to me in a few days..well 2 weeks later and no response no apology and for that no business from my extended family who now shops at home depot and I encourage everyone now to do the same

The policy on Veteran discounts needs to be clearer. Technically the discount is only for holidays, but many stores will automatically give it if shown ID. The issue with this is that when someone goes to a store where this is ok, then goes to a store where it isn't it causes conflict.
