Lowes Return Policy Review from Brampton, Ontario

1.8
Details
ordered a custom air return Lowes told me they would call when they receive the product. call the store they told me it wasn't there and then they would call me when it came. I finally went into the store to see if it arrived it was sitting in the store 14 days when the looked up my order. when they finally found it the box has been opened which means someone looked at it and still didn't call me. I complained about it to the service department no one could care less I've spent a lot of money over the past year at Lowes and will not be returning because of the poor quality of service there.

Lowes Countertop Install Review from Denver, Colorado

2.9
Details
My husband and I remodeled our kitchen. We had Lowe's install our granite countertops and undermount sink. We were pleased with it at the time, but a year and a half later the sink fell down. They had only used epoxy to adhere it. I called Lowe's and they said it was out of warentee . They suggested I call a local company to fix it. When I called them the owner said he could just devote half of his business just to fixing Lowe's installs. He said the proper way to install an undermount sink is to brace it to the cabinets so it doesn't fall. Lowe's does not stand behind their installs. You are better off having a local company install so you have a better warrantie.

Lowes Staff Review from Quakertown, Pennsylvania

The customer service staff was terrible. She was very rude to me as a customer and felt I was disrespected as a paying customer. When I ask her questions about the product she kept giving me attitude and was not willing to explain it to me. She said a few things under her breath which I could hear of saying they are so annoying and they are taking forever. I was very passed off of the service she provided. Cathy change your attitude, please!

Lowes is keeping my children from having health insurance

I am a former employee that has been gone from the Lowes since 2012. Lowes health is still showing up on my kids insurance as there primary insurance. I have over $2000 in health care bills for my 2 children that should be covered by our insurance, but will not be paid because Lowes health care is still showed as primary. I have contacted the store, HR manager, area Hr, called home office and still after a 3 year battle still no response. This is the Russellville AR Lowes store. I am always told that I will receive a response and I never do.

Is there any way for you to contact the insurance provider directly instead of having to go through Lowe's? If the insurance was from, say, Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Humana maybe there is a number on the paperwork you could try. Also think about contacting your state's insurance commissioner.

Lowes in Dickson City, Pennsylvania - Website says next day delivery? Never!!!

I called the local store because my fridge died. The website says next day delivery. The sales associate said yeah, not sure why thats on there. More like 3 or 4 days. False advertising. we have had numerous other problems with them too. Tried to get counters and were grossly over measured. Brought it to their attention and the response was oh yeah I put something in twice...sorry! Then after seven weeks we were told they were going to be installed on Saturday. On Friday they said the material came in damamged. I totally cancelled the order. Went with a local comapany and had granite counters in 2 weeks. Also went with a local store and got a fridge in 2 days! Never step foot in a lowes again!

quit complaining and things go well. but negative surroundings bring you bad karma.

I bet you were not nice about the situation so of course you got the worst karma. I wouldn't deal with you either.

There are always two sdie to a story. You need to call if you order on line that your fridge was not working in order for them to move it to next day delivery.

Lowes in La Habra, California - Horrendous customer service.

1.0
Details
Assistant store manager Jessica is the reason I don't like going to Lowes. She is a shining example of horrible customer service. Ironically, the people working for her were decent. Slow to help customers...but decent on the whole. Here's my latest Lowe's horror story: My wife and I had saved for years to build our dream kitchen. I ordered a $600 window at Lowe's, among a few other items, because they had a sale going. It arrived in 2 weeks as promised, and I called to schedule a pickup. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes for them to find my window (not terrible, but not the "immediate pickup" I was promised on the phone). Well come to find out the window was damaged. I pointed that out to Assistant Manager Jessica along with telling her that my install was planned for 2 days from now and her response was, "Well you shouldn't have scheduled an install so close to pickup of the window." Excuse me? Was I supposed to anticipate that Lowe's was going to screw up and damage my window or something? She offered to replace the window or give us 10% off. When I said I wasn't happy with the 10% off idea she told me, "I wasn't done talking yet" in the most condescending tone I have ever heard used toward an adult, and shook her head like she was talking to a 5 year old child. She pointed out that I already got 10% off the window when I purchased it. Of course I got 10% off when I purchased it! It was on sale! That's why I bought it at Lowe's in the first place! Believe me, if it were on sale anywhere else I would have gone there instead. I demanded a replacement window, which they agreed to. Then I continued to wait another 43 minutes for them to find the door I already scheduled a pickup for. They had this door in stock as a regular item and it took them 43 minutes to get it to the front of the store! When I told Assistant Manager Jessica that I was *** pissed" with their delays, poor customer service, damaged window, and her condescending attitude she told me that she didn't appreciate my language and walked away. I never raised my voice and used a single expletive to describe my current demeanor (seriously, check the tape) after taking delivery of a broken window, waiting over an hour for them to give me an in-stock door I already paid for, and tolerating her attitude and that's how she's going to end it? I thought I should have been thanked for keeping such calm attitude. Apparently not. Thanks Lowe's for delivering quality customer service once again.

Lowes in Elm City, North Carolina - Avoid them their service is TERRIBLE

When Lowes in Kill Devil Hills, NC first opened they were great but boy have times changed. I have been a loyal customer making many purchases each month but this broken washer (less than 60 days old) is the last straw. Cannot get service the thing just needs replaced, bad transmission and drum this is not a WARRANTY issue! Not to mention you want me to wait 2 WEEKS to get your drunk repair tech out to look at it to tell you want the MAYTAGS warranty rep has already told you. I will never do business here again 3 days of trying to get help is enough

Lowes in Beaufort, North Carolina - Kobalt Lifetime hassle free warranty

Magnets fell out of my kobalt torpedo level while installing a tv wall mount. The employee in the tool department said it was no loner stocked but they could just swap it for another brand but the manager had to do it. Well I was told by the manager it was no loner carried and they could not find the item number in there system or on the tool so the manager went on ebay and found the level and made the statement he could always count on ebay and gave me 6.98 I am not sure if that was ebay price or the lowest price the level ever sold for but the cheapest level I could find in the store was 20. I was very nice to them I guess I should have dressed better... Lesson learned buy craftsmen or buy kobalt from ebay....

After two years I tried to replace my not running Kobalt lawnmower that has 5 five years Not so Hassle free Warranty. Finally, after a while of them checking to see if they could swap it for another one and not finding my receipt and could not find it under my credit card transaction in their system (I had my Receipt and credit card) It took a while and I had other appointments so I had to leave and go back later they said they would swap it.

But after all the trouble and time it took or Hassle, I decided to just return as it says you can in the warranty. After a while of checking they told me I can’t return it on a weekend because they could not get authorization from? Kobalt lawnmower manufacturer I think.

Driving around today running errands with a lawn mower rolling around and hoping when I go to my next stop nobody takes it.

Just more Hassle.

Hemet CA. store.

Lowes - Great hookup job on my oven
Not only has our oven taken 3 months to get to my house....(with the microwave still not here yet) lowes sent some Neanderthal over to my house and this is how he left the wiring....not only is it a fire hazard but being the owner of an electrical company I am extremely upset and amazed at the fact that someone could do this work and think it was acceptable....stop hiring non-licensed people to do your *** and this won't happen...if one of my employees did this I would can their ***...not only does lowes have horrible customer service in the store but it's even worse outside of it

Holy *** that is *** crazy! I'm a Flooring installer for Home Depot and have a few other accounts and with these accounts I have to have liability insurance for up to 2 million and workman's comp along with at least 3 yrs min exp criminal back ground check and references for installations going back to 3 yrs before I can even be a badged installer.

As do all sub contracting installers of any skilled trade. I know that in other fields such as in your case electrical. That the technician must have at least 2 yrs of completed schooling, 3 yrs on the job exp, and the same in insurance as I do.

So with that being said if it was the delivery guy delivering the oven that did that to your electrical, then sir you may have grounds for a lawsuit.

It is totally against policy for any delivery guys to make any kind of changes to a homeowners property. Meaning if it don't fit, or doesn't have the correct hook up or outlet for installation then they must stop immediately and let customer or home owner know immediately.

I know Home Depot has strict policies against that sort of thing. The same reason we have to carry our "own" insurance, have back ground checks, etc before we can even be badged as their installer and given work orders to enter any of their customers homes.

You say that you are an owner of an electric company, I notice that you did not say you were a contractor, so it does not mean that you are a licensed Master or journeyman electrician. If you did own your own contracting business, you would know all for the codes associated as you are liable for all that your Master does as he falls under your business umbrella.

So, you should have been paying attention and called the Master of the company providing service for your install. The employee that provided your service may not even be certified, you should know that. He only needs to work under the direction of a licensed Master as per code, who does not have to be at the work site. Though most jurisdictions require the worker to be at least journeyman qualified.

So, your failure is to not monitor the situation and allow him to leave without reviewing his work. I agree with the earlier comment below. As an owner, it would have been no cost for you to have even your master to come over and install it the correct way. This job is quite easy, a quick review of the codes and you could have installed it yourself.

Even with all of this said, Lowe's needs to be given reviews of the contractors that they hire. I do not work for Lowe's, but have used their contractors in the past.

They always are welcoming of contractor reviews and are willing to work with the customers, at least from what I found out. You should have contacted your local Lowe's first and tried to get the problem corrected.

If you own an electrical company like you say you do, why would you or one of your employees wired the outlet for the range? Seems odd that you would hire Lowes to do it.
