Had to wait a week for delivery for an item they had on hand and then they messed up the delivery and tried to reschedule. They provide horrible customer service and there is always an issue with this company! So frusterating.

Lowes in Westbrook, Connecticut - Nightmare with installation of kitchen cabinets and counter top

I purchased kitchen cabinets from a vendor of lowes Masco LLC paid $4500 for it when the cabinets arrived the finesh was very bad quality of wood is horrible when I called lowes they told to deal with the vendor ,I called the vendor thei rep came and agreed about the finish and told me the best thing to do is replace the doors still waiting for it.second issue was counter top the company Krafmaid has some rude customer service people they messed up on my installation date I got a date of almost a month after my cabinets were installed that pushes my backsplash installation and the painting I spoke to the Director of complaints at lowes mr Raymond he basically told me to keep the date or lose the appointment .

Lowes in Brooklyn, New York - Extremely poor delivery service

I ordered patio doors online and was told to call for delivery set up. Tried to call delivery dept at the Hamilton Ave, Brooklyn NY store. No answer....then eventually was hung up on. Called the central customer service number to complain, they couldn't get through either. The woman had to take my number and say she will set it up and call me back with a time. She eventually did for next day delivery 6:30-8:30 pm window. However the doors never came. I had my contractor and his guys waiting for the delivery. I called and complained and the supervisor on duty was rude. He said "did I want him to tell me the truth or tell me what I want to hear". He wanted to tell me that there's no way that I would get it delivered the next day. I asked if he could leave a note for the morning manager and he was clearly not interested. No "I will try to see what we can do" nor "call in the morning and speak to .." He was horrible. I ended up scheduling for first delivery Monday morning. I still don't have it and it's Tuesday...haven't received a phone call about not delivering yesterday.

Lowes in Springdale, Arkansas - Communication Issues

Ive dealt with Lowes on several occasions & have learned to call back and be persistent if you want action. I remember our first encounter was for a fence quote. Lowes was very on top of saying I'd hear back from the guy who installs fences for them. They don't do the dirty work. I wasn't told it was a independent fence guy, after repeatedly calling five weeks later the fence finally shows (only to quote us) & gives a ridiculous quote that didn't come close to matching Lowes. Needless to say we did it ourselves. I've always been a 3 strikes kind of person. They're on their last strike. I've learned not to approach a teenager, they're working for the pay check. They don't know the answers to much of anything. They'll be the ones who don't go out of their way to greet you. They're scared to death to learn or help. I've only got a few people I've managed to remember to ask because they've been there for awhile and should've learned their store by now. If you're a woman in the lumber dept, you'll be sure no man that works there will ask you if you need help. If you're giving your information to a employee like address, phone number, time & date. Be sure to know it doesn't get passed onto the right person. They should have accurate note paper and give the customer a copy so we know it's being handle & should we need anything, we have the stores number, extension & contact. Loads of communication issues that can be easily fixed if they had the right person to FIX IT. The irony!

Lowes in Poway, California - LAR Account

Most of the cashiers don't know how to transact this account. Yesterday I was at the checkout while I walked the cashier through how to do it. it took about 20 minutes. Today was different and worse. The very pleasant young lady called someone. It wasn't working, so she did as instructed over and over and over until it didn't work. No one would come help her. The solution was to have me ring up at customer service. They might want to change the name to customer disservice. She was not very good and not very pleasant. I like the people and I like the store. The training stinks.

Lowes in Owensboro, Kentucky - Took 2 tile boxes from an install job

I took back two boxes that were not used on a lowes install job. I took the bill that had the tile charge on the statement. I waited for over an hour with a guy named Jon at lowes Owensboro service. After waiting and not saying a word he said that he wasn't sure how the charge got recorded. I have spent and paid more than $10,000 in the last 3 months for home improvements. I was treated bad and will never buy from lowes again. Really incompetent return. I ended up leaving the tile without getting a return that I was untitled to. The tile was in the total price and was ordered buy contractor. So lowes told me how much tile was needed. That is the worst service I have ever had at a retail store.

If you arent the contractor, then you arent entitled to anything. They can't refund a bill that hasnt been paid, especially if you aren't the company who bought it.

Your contractor and only your contractor can return it. Common sense.

We purchased a Whirlpool washer and Dryer on May 26th 2015 and were told that earliest delivery will be June 10th. I kept my day free for the delivery and took time off from work. One day before the scheduled delivery I got a call that they cannot delivery it on June 10th. I was extremely angry and told them to cancel the order. They suddenly they said they will deliver it. It was delivered on June 10th. After that dryer never worked. I contact Lowes again, they told me to call customer service and customer service told me to call the store where I purchased. After wasting few days they told me that someone will come to check it and he came on June 19th just to say that machine has a fault. I called lowes again and they again kept bouncing me and finally agreed to replace it sine we were within 30days of purchase. But they scheduled it for July 3rd. !!!!Holiday weekend Can you imagine we have been without a dryer for more than a month. They should have at least given us a loaner machine or expedited. We are now stuck with them and not sure if it will work and for how long we have to stay without a dryer. Also, the people at lowes both in the department and customer service have not at all been helpful. Never doing business with them again.

I live in WI and shop at my nearest Lowes in Rockford, IL. I have bought appliances from them and had their delivery service which is next day or 2nd day.

They apparently use a private company for the Rockford store and the people are super polite, carry the appliances up the stairs, carry the old out (including the cardboard if you don't want it) and have on 3 different occasions called that they were running AHEAD of schedule and could they come an hour or so earlier. I'm sad that you've have bad experiences with Lowes but mine have been totally satisfactory.

I tell all my friends about their great products, great people, as well as, their support people.

Lowes in Lewistown, Pennsylvania - Ripped me off

I bought a small outdoor table, unassembled and in the box plus two chairs. Loaded them up and went home. Looked at the receipt to deduct amount from check book and noticed a ten dollar assembly fee. WTF? It took me two minutes to put together. NO ONE at the store mentioned assembly. The cashier didn't mention it. How many people have been charged for assembly and have not noticed??? The charge was automatically put on my bill. I am thinking about calling our attorney generals office tomorrow. Would like to no how many other folks that this has happened to or if it is just my local store in Lewistown PA doing it.

All of your plants have spider mites. I work for a pest control company and they are very quick spreading nasty bugs. I've brought home ants twice about 6 months apart and they turned out to have spider mites, it spread to every single one of my plants and killed off some that I've had for years and years. Lowes in Oregon - Samsung Refrigerator and Lowe's Service Advantage Protection Plan

We purchased a refrigerator that was on sale. A couple months after the manufacturer's warranty passed, an issue came up and we knew to contact Lowe's Service Advantage as we had purchased the extended warranty. We asked for a service call to determine what was wrong with the refrigerator. We called on a Friday evening and by the following Monday afternoon, Lowe's Service Advantage wrote-off the refrigerator. We were told that in the whole of this state there are no certified Samsung technicians and that it could only be a certified Samsung technician who could service this appliance. We couldn't believe Lowe's would sell products knowing full well that those products could never be serviced, but there it was. Lowe's Service Advantage sent out a gift card for the amount we paid and cancelled the warranty. Done. Just like that. No questions. We purchased the refrigerator when it was on sale. Now, in order to replace it, we would have to come up with almost $1,600 for a like item. Not to mention the addition money it would cost to warranty a new refrigerator. A couple months after initially contacting Lowe's Service Advantage about this item, we were advised by Samsung that Lowe's had made an error in their advice that there were no certified technicians. They provided the names of two different companies who could have come out. I contacted Lowe's again with this information and essentially were given the old "sorry for the inconvenience" speech and told that they cannot undo what has been done. So now we have been left with this huge stainless steel closet valued at some $3200 because someone at Lowe's was too quick or too lazy to provide the service we paid for. I have made attempts to contact the Lowe's corporate office for assistance but no one returns the e-mails. As soon as I start to tell someone on the phone about the problem, they interrupt and go into the "sorry can't help you" mode. SUCH a disappointment.
