Paid Lowes $11, 000 for cracked granite countertops and blinds that will not stay open and a backsplash that was never installed. Their rep stated the countertop had been repaired before it was installed. Cannot get them to return my calls.

Do not ever get a credit card from lowes in fact dont ever shop here ever, go to home depot instead there straight forward with everything, when you open a new credit card you will get the card before you get the first statement but they wont tell you that untill you lock yourself out of your own account oh yea you can only activate your card online you cant do it over the phone

I totally agree. Lowe's is, in a word, awful.

I bought back splash recently in Springfield mass, the sales guy said I should buy a few extra just in case. If I don't use them just bring them back. Upon bringing back the 2 tiles I didn't use, the return desk tells me I can only return a minimum of 5 tiles. I called customer complaints and they contact the Springfield MA store and inform them they have to except the return.

Again I return to the store and this time the Manager says no, he will not except the return. Again I call customer complaint a once again and again they inform me go to the store and there will be a refund waiting for me. Once again I go back to the store, and after waiting 25 minutes, a cashier comes to me and gives me an envelope. When I get to my car I open the envelope, it contains $6.00.

I guess they think me an ***. Last time I checked the math, 2 tiles at $13.98 per tile is $27.96. At this point I am too fed up the go back into the store again.

I will go into the store one last time in the near future. That will be so I can drop off pieces of the Lowe's credit card after I pay it off and cut it up.

Lowes in Providence, Rhode Island - Great experience in North Smithfield in the plants department

To Whom it may concern in the Lowe's plants department: I had such a wonderful woman who taught me so much about the flowers and care for plants. The woman has a degree in keeping plants and her name is Suzanne. She helped me so much with plants that came from Texas. I lost all my Gaura plants and she told me to use pine mulch as this was not good advice from another manager in Attleboro Massachusets. The woman ,Suzanne was so thoughtful and plenty of knowledge as to how to grow the plant and care for it. She is the best asset for this position off Route 146 in North Smithfield, Rhode Island! Lowes in Somerset, Pennsylvania - Not Happy with no military discount

I am disappointed in Lowes for taking the discounts from all Veterans away. We shop there often and today we went there and found out it only goes to men in for 20 years,still active or disabled. WE looked through treated plywood and it was terrible so we went to a more expensive type thinking with the discount it wouldn't matter only to find out we didn't get the discount. WE come from families who all have served their country and I am sure they will be disappointed as well. WE will go to another building supply company from now on. Not that you will miss our business but if the word gets out, which I am sure it will, others may do the same. Bob Sipe, Somerset,Pa.

Why do veterans feel entitled? You are the same people who criticize people receiving government help. I'm glad Lowe's doesn't give vets a discount.

the discount policy is very straightforward. they dont have to give one. most retailers don't.

the fact they do at all is nice and you should be honored they are taking care of your active duty counterparts.

I walked into the garden center @ Lowe's this a.m. June 7,2015 and it was like walking into a morgue...What an unfriendly bunch... From the cashier, to the people stocking plants,the workers have little or no knowledge whatsoever of items being sold,as to ground covering,seasonal planting, what plants are better to purchase to grow and thrive here in Florida,i.e. sun or shade...In addition to being clueless--no smiles,no hello, no may I help you..It was like a customer is a bother.... Just think,Lowe's how many items in your garden center could be purchased if only the workers had the knowledge of a garden center or plant nursery...Plus, how far a smile or greeting goes with customers....How being helpful is a great asset--not a liability... My wife and I just paid lowes 10000 dollars to have siding and gutters installed well the contractor said when they would start so my wife stayed home from work well they never showed two days in a row. Called and called. Well finally get them there and they ran out of special order siding. They ordered it it came in 2 weeks later and I contacted the contractor and he promised a certain day so my wife stayed home again and she waited and waited no show again. The siding has been *** I could have done this bad for free. Needless to say I think lowes needs to redo this. They put nails through the wiring for my doorbell and my flood lights. I've got caulk smeared all over my grey siding. Bits pitiful still trying to resolve this.

You could have contacted your state's Business and Professional Regulations to check the contractor's history. This will tell you how many complaints, or out-of-compliance issues this contractor may have had lodged about him. Few people realize that checking a contractor on your state's website for BPR will give you a picture of how well, or badly, this contractor has done.

Okay so them not calling you and leaving you hang several times is very unprofessional. On the other hands Lowe's installations are based on %100 satisfaction Guaranteed , so if the workmanship was not to your liking they usually accomadate to a reasonable extent.

I'd threaten to sue get twenty grand from a judge for bad work you don't use nails on the sideing they just allowed water ice whatever behind that siding. I can't believe that corner area my girlfriends five year old could have done a better job I know I will never hire them they sub contract iddiots with no school in the trade. And on top of that if your not right there under him watching they cut corners literly should sue call lawyer get them scared they will redo all the work over

DO NOT GO TO LOWES FOR ANYTHING!! BAD PRODUCTS! BAD SERVICE!!

I had the misfortune of choosing Lowes to do my fence and gates. Because I wanted to keep everything in one place, I also placed a very large order for blinds. It all went bad as soon as the money was paid. The blinds were all wrong. They came and measured, charged us $75 for the pleasure of messing up all measurements. Next the blinds were not being delivered. We had to keep calling. They finally arrived and were all wrong!! They also outsourced the fence and gates to some company called Challenger. Almost 2 months later and no one was coming to put in the fence. Again we kept calling and calling. Lowes made it clear they did not care. The company finally came to put in the fence. Very cheap materials even though we paid $20,000 for this job. The fence is crooked and looks terrible. The gates are cheap looking and they are uneven. There are missing bolts for the gates and now gates won't stay open. The entire experience was horrible. As soon as they took the money all customer service vanished. We had just bought the house and now wasted tens of thousands of dollars on these people. Learn from out misfortune and stay away.

Lowes has the WORST service I have ever encountered!!!!!!

Details
Purchase a Grill online a week ago, they call me to setup appointment for delivery and install. On the day of delivery they call to say they cannot install it. So I asked WHY is this the first I am hearing this, it has been a week passed and no call stating this. The person stated he will call his manager and get back... 7 hours later no call and no grill. I call the store and they act as through I didn't order anything. This is their 3 strike I am not spending any more $$$ in at Lowes.

They ended up putting it together in the store and delivering but I must add they put it together with that clear protective tap on it so I had to take it apart to remove the tape AND when they delivered it the female was alone so her and I had to get this thing in my backyard. So I guess what I am saying I could have picked up the grill, put it together, and got it placed in my house myself and avoided the headache.

My husband and I went to lowes to purchase a riding lawn mower. So we decided to open a lowes credit card under my husbands name. The young lady named Sarah was the absolute rudest person I have ever encountered! We entered all our information in and it came up with a piece of paper for her to call somebody. so she called somebody and she was extremely rude to them. So rude that they hung up on her! So we had to put our information in again. Once we did that it came up declined. She yelled, yes literally yelled it's declined! Everybody looked at us. We were so embarrassed. My husband has perfect credit there would be no way he would get denied. It was just her being so rude and not wanting to help. Even after all this my husband says okay well thank you anyways have a good day. Her reply was ya right. This girl should NOT work for lowes!! We shop at lowes for everything. This was just the worst experience ever. I hope she gets fired.

Stick With Home Depot I called about material required for repairing my foundation. The first person I spoke to transferred me to an expert. A girl answered, when I told her I needed to talk to someone specifically about foundation repair I was put on hold, I could hear someone typing in the background, then the elevator music started. This went on for a few minutes until I was disconnected. I called back and spoke to a woman named Kelly, she didn't understand what a foundation was. She told me that someone would have to come out, for a fee of $35 and take a look at it. I'm doing this myself, all I wanted to know was how much the material will cost. I informed her that the answer would be in their inventory fee list list, not under my house. As I type this I am on hold again, with elevator music. How hard can it be to give a price on material? I just spoke to a manager, he said he was trying to find someone with the answer but they were all busy helping other customers, 20 minutes on the phone and no information. I'm sticking with Home Depot, they're the best.
