Lowes review in Oregon: Samsung Refrigerator and Lowe's Service Advantage Protection Plan

We purchased a refrigerator that was on sale. A couple months after the manufacturer's warranty passed, an issue came up and we knew to contact Lowe's Service Advantage as we had purchased the extended warranty. We asked for a service call to determine what was wrong with the refrigerator. We called on a Friday evening and by the following Monday afternoon, Lowe's Service Advantage wrote-off the refrigerator. We were told that in the whole of this state there are no certified Samsung technicians and that it could only be a certified Samsung technician who could service this appliance. We couldn't believe Lowe's would sell products knowing full well that those products could never be serviced, but there it was. Lowe's Service Advantage sent out a gift card for the amount we paid and cancelled the warranty. Done. Just like that. No questions. We purchased the refrigerator when it was on sale. Now, in order to replace it, we would have to come up with almost $1,600 for a like item. Not to mention the addition money it would cost to warranty a new refrigerator. A couple months after initially contacting Lowe's Service Advantage about this item, we were advised by Samsung that Lowe's had made an error in their advice that there were no certified technicians. They provided the names of two different companies who could have come out. I contacted Lowe's again with this information and essentially were given the old "sorry for the inconvenience" speech and told that they cannot undo what has been done. So now we have been left with this huge stainless steel closet valued at some $3200 because someone at Lowe's was too quick or too lazy to provide the service we paid for. I have made attempts to contact the Lowe's corporate office for assistance but no one returns the e-mails. As soon as I start to tell someone on the phone about the problem, they interrupt and go into the "sorry can't help you" mode. SUCH a disappointment.

I had my Father's Day ad that advertised a 5 piece dining set that I went to the store to purchase. When i arrived to make my purchase the manager told me that the ad was a misprint. So I didn't get to make my purchase.

They are not interested in customer service, I have only been asked twice out of 20 or more visits for the my Lowe's card to scan my purchases. Cannot take the program seriously when the employee ringing the purchase doesn't.

Hey helpless victim... if you walk through the store, you will find signage directing you to everything you need.

You can't read? Not Lowes fault. You can't find help? Try Google.

Ask Google your question, you get answer. What kind of a man cries because he can't get help from a retail associate. How pathetic.

we just moved into our beautiful home this past Sunday. We had the washer/dryer delivery the same day. At the end of the evening - I decided to test out our new washer. Put a load in and proceeded to go and shower. Ten min later, I come out to find the laundry room flooding with water. Scrambled to soak up as much water as possible and after 45 minutes of getting the water out - I start hearing water downstairs above my kitchen. Yep! Leaked through to the kitchen ceiling! Cause? Installer forgot to install the drainage pipe - drained all the water into my laundry room. Never ever will use lowes. Ruined my first evening at my new house and will forever recommend to stay away from lowes installers.

Lowes review in Oaks, Pennsylvania: Don't believe their timely manner, same day install guarentee for a hot water heater

Called Lowes on Saturday at noon due to hot water heater going out and flooding the downstairs. Picked out new heater and they said they would install Monday or Tuesday, but would call on Monday. Monday comes, no word. Called to find out, got transferred from department to department, no one was picking up-kept going back to customer service. Noone knows what is going on and everyone seems to have an attitude. Finally got ahold of someone in plumbing, they had no clue what was going on but said they would find out and call back. No call. Come Tuesday at noon, still no call. We called them, they asked "when do you want it installed?" We said now. They go to call installer and call back saying he is booked all week, they can maybe get him out Thursday. We cancelled the order. 2 words: Home Depot.

Cashiers can't leave their registers. Why not pick up a cart when walking in to the store, if they are around the parking lot.

Rather than standing around for 45 minutes I would have looked elsewhere in the store and even walked out to the parking lot to grab one. I've been in busy stores and have encountered the need to get my own cart. Better than standing around looking helpless and waisting my time.

Lowes review in Rockwall, Texas: No customer support.. Can't get anyone to answer phones

Left Home Depot for the same thing Lowes is starting to be like. Can't get any help when you are there pass it off to someone else instead of trying to help. Tried for 15 minutes June 15,2015 at 8:10pm to get operator to pick up and never could. Tried other departments to pick up and couldn't. What nobody at work. So make me upset. Meet only one lady one time who went really out of her way to help that's it. Please stop making excuses for why it's happening just fix it. Very time I say something I'm so sorry. Tired of hearing that. Taking my business somewhere else

I work in retail somewhere other than Lowes. Latter in the evening when customer traffic is slower there are also fewer employees.

If you are out on the sales floor helping a customer your priority is helping the customer that took their time to come into the store to make a purchase, not running across the department to answer a phone. Sure they could add more employees to answer the phone but they have to be paid and most customers don't want to pay the higher prices that would result from a higher level of customer service.

The worst service in my whole life I'm still waiting for the installer to install my door Was removed by his assistant it is 400 promised to be here at 9 I changed my mind I don't remodel my kitchen with these people It was a complete frustration since begginer and still going on No door so ever The technician installer who knows Maybe he is coming Tido g a donkey The assistant taking a nap in his van and without doors Worse service in town Thanks God I didn't sign contract to remodel my kitchen I'll tell my neighbors who are waiting for my experience with lowes in Hialeah to change their doors Very frustrated

Nightmare started in October of 2014 and now June 2015 and waiting for 2 doors to be reinstalled which was totally unacceptable according to them..Did not measure door jam first time!!! But shoved them in anyway..Gaps all in doors and hubby had to put paper this winter to prevent cold air from coming in !

Installers are dumbest Ive ever seen..Imagine a big company like Lowes Home Improvement hiring such impotent people!!

They have been out twice with wrong door, not enough doors, can't they read an invoice?? Today, they called and truck broke down...nightmare continues!!!

Lowes & Samsung get $, tell customer "get lost"

Purchased Samsung NX58h5600SS (CR recommended highly) from Lowe's November 2014. Not heavy users of oven, but we followed instructions closely and as per manual tried self-cleaning function in January 2015. This caused a streak inside oven door window and cracks / discoloration on bottom interior oven panel. Manufacturer-authorized technician replaced panel, took door apart, cleaned window. Self-clean in April 2015 resulted in >multiple< dark brown streaks inside door window, making it difficult to observe items being baked. Technician said Samsung considered defect "cosmetic", wouldn't authorize door replacement. Contacted Lowe's, they expressed supreme indifference, offered no help, gave us no contact information for Samsung, then rudely blew us off.

your problem isn't with lowes, its samsung or the warranty provider if you bought one.

if you didn't buy one, thats your problem and entirely on you after 30 days. not the reseller.

Lowes - Manager Review from East Lansing, Michigan

I buy kobalt tape measure's for their hassle free life time guarantee. Problem is that the store never has any in stock when I go to turn in broken one to get a new one. Today they had 20 empty hooks where the different kinds of kobalt tapes went. There was only 4 16' tapes and they were out every other kind of kolbalt tapes. Talked to store manager, he responded that I was lying about the store being out of the kobalt tapes. We walked to the empty racks and he said he will have to order more and if I want my hassle free guarantee for me to drive hour away to the closest Lowe's. I have used kobalt tapes for years, as I am a carpenter, and will never use a Lowe's store ever again because of this unprofessional service and the undervaluing of me the customer. All I wanted was for them to stand by their guarantee. The manager should have given me any 25' tape measure I wanted that they had in stock until they could exchange the kobalt.
