Lowes - Purchased a Hitachi drill/impact drill combo
there was a special going on through the Lowe's website for a hitachi drill combo kit that was priced at $159 for $55.95. I checked in my area so see if there was any available and to my surprise it was in stock. I purchased the combo, I received the confirmation number, and the purchased was charged to my debit card. A few minutes later I get a call from my local Lowe's. I was on the phone with the store manager and she was explaining to me that the item was in stock but it was missing the battery and charger. I asked he if she could order the missing parts and I would pick them up some other time. She refused and told me that it was not possible. I told her I was on my way to the store. After arriving I get greeted with a very sarcastic manager. after showing her all my paper work and explaining to her that the purchase has gone through on my debit card she goes on to tell me that the order has been cancelled and that all she could to is give me a 10% discount on another combo kit which was priced at $179. I ask to talk to cor prate, and after talking to the "Carlos" the corporate suit he goes on to tell me that there is nothing he can do and that the final decision is with the general manager. In the end I ended up getting charged and with no product.

Never order online and pick up at the store. I did last year and not only did they not have it in stock at the store like the website said it did, I was charged for the item and never got my money back even after complaining.

Lowes in Big Flats, New York - So called Managers are less than antiquate

Worked at Lowes for a few years, average pay, terrible benefits, managers didn't have a clue, we actually asked 4 managers the same question and all had a different answer... Schedule you to work a closing shift then have you open the next day, not too smart on safety. Would over schedule deliveries and expect the drivers to work overtime. Will not allow you to use your vacation time when you want and will not allow you to be off more than 9 consecutive days in a row. Give you sick time but if you use more than 5 days in a rolling year they write you up. Managers at our store were sexting hourly employees and when turned in for it the HR manager looked the other way. Glad I am out of there, will never return, good luck and good riddance.

I have to agree with the part of asking questions. Everyone of them will give you a different answer so know who is over you at the time so you do it their way.

Went to lowes in 05/09/2015 to apply for lowes card in lexing sc. The woman that waited on my wife and I was nice till I was turned down..she handed my driverlicens back and said (NOPE YOU DONT QUALIFY ) turned around and left...I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ANOTHER LOWES! YALL ARE RUDE!

Do not by a appliance and plug it in and try to use it if you do and something wrong you can't return it so you will be out of a appliance that you need and purchased for as long as a rep from company can come by to see what and verify that you can return it what a ridiculous warranty never heard that before I have purchase a lot of appliance in my day and never had that type of service ever

Lowes in Austin, Texas - Replacement windows issuesat the State Ave store ! UNPLEASANT!!!

I'm was interested in replacing 39 windows for my residence. I had a very pleasant Lowes Rep. Come to my residence to give me a quote. The quote was $34,000. I also had two other bids. From other Reps. One of which was $12,000 less than Lowe's bid. I received 2 phone Calls from the Lowe's Rep. Stating that she never "pulls this card", which was her "BIRTHDAY CARD" trying to entice me to accept her Lowe's bid. I felt like ***!!! Then she called me back 5 hours later to ask if I had made my decision? I informed her that my Project Manager had confirmed the deal with the Pella Rep., which was $12,000 less than her bid. She informed me that she had performed "A lot of work" to provide me with the quote.(less than few hours day). I abruptly informed her how long it takes me to earn $34,000 to replace windows in my home. I can honestly say....my experience was unpleasant...! I was made to feel like *** because I did my research and found the better deal... "Strong Arming"is never a pleasant experience, and to state that it's your birthday...and I'm expected to pay $12,000 more to a complete stranger is ABSOLUTELY LUCRIDIOUS!!!

Lowes in Seattle, Washington - Unfairly treated

I know this is repeating several other's claims, but I had to file a discrimination claim against my store "manager". You know what? Nothing ever was addressed on it! What a surprise from this company. The "manager" eventually found something to fire me for, though. I got back into the remodeling business, and Lowe's is never on my shopping list. In fact, my friends, neighbors and family do not shop Lowe's. I say we hit them in the wallet, folks. If we can get together and spread the word about this company, maybe someday they will change their policies toward employees. And, yes, they hire folks with no idea of what hardware is and how it works.

i was looking to replace my kitchen ceiling fan. It needed to be 44 inches. The clerk, mid 50's kakai shorts and the ever present red vest was sent to answer my questions. The third time he looked down on me and corrected me with "54 inch" and I informed him I heard him the first two times and thought he might have listened to me that I needed 44 inch fan point to point. He then laughed and said I had it all wrong, as I was explaining to him I measured and looked at the stock on line. He asked if I really knew how to use a computer. At that point I informed him I was not interested in his attitude and that I would be shopping at Home Depot ( where I got GREAT informative help). He then said asked of he had offended me and if so he hadn't realized it. I found that hard to believe and left. On my way out I asked to talk to the store manager and was told he was unavailable but would call me.....still waiting. I left wondering if I was back in the sixties

Lowes in Summerville, South Carolina - Microwave repair

We purchased a over range microwave from Lowes along with a extended warranty. Withing 2 months it failed. Contacted lowes. Made arrangements for a service technician to arrive following day. Never showed never called. Called lowes they contacted a different service tech to come following day. Never showed finally called to tell me he did not need to look at it. He knew what the problem was and would order the part but due to the Holiday weekend did not expect part till Tuesday so would arrive Wednesday to install. No show no call. Contacted Lowes Thursday. Advised me that they were not sure what the problem was but call back on Monday and they should know something. So have owned the unit for 2 months and well past 2 weeks non operational. Lots of "I understand" and "I can see why you are frustrated" from the on line service number but still no functioning unit and they wont send a replacement. Asked about a refund. No since owned over 30 days. In the last 2 years we have purchased over 4K dollars worth of appliances in just the Kitchen alone and are in the process of replacing the dishwasher (last of the upgrades) but rest assured we will NOT be purchasing from Lowes.

Lowes in Durham, North Carolina - Don't order online

I ordered 30 bags of mulch online. Then received an email saying my order was ready for pick-up. When I got to the store I was told that they had sold out of the mulch days before. Aren't they suppose to get your order together before sending you an email saying it's ready for pick-up? The manager didn't even seem to care that I had driven 30 miles just to find out my order wasn't there. I asked why would it let me order online if they didn't have anymore and the cashier tried to tell me that it will let you order them and put it on back order. I replied by telling her that the local Lowes would not let me order because they didn't have them so that was not true. I will not be shopping at Lowes anymore. From now on I will be shopping at Home Depot. Lowes in Durham NC @ William Penn Plaza
