Lowes review in Jacksonville, Florida: Forced to unfairly pay more for tile instalation

I purchased tile from Lowe's for the family room , dining room and hall way. I paid to have a Lowe's employee come out measure and look around. I was given a price for everything, the tile, grout, thin set, self leveling material, quarter rounds to go on the base boards, and transition pieces. I was very through to make sure $ 4172.49 covered everything. They showed up at my house at 9 AM as scheduled, I was out of town at a meeting so my 24 year old son met them. He was told the floor was not level enough. He called me on my cell phone and I spoke to the installer that assured me someone from Lowe's would contact me in 30 minutes and they left. Of course I never received a call. When I returned home I called Lowe's after 3 tries to speak to a human being and being transferred to extensions that did not answer or hung up on I demanded a manager. I spoke to a person who at least claimed to be a manager but obviously was not very experienced and he transferred me to installation which said they knew nothing about it and would call me back. When they called me back they said I would have to pay $800. to have my floor leveled. To say the least I was extremely upset. We agreed on a price that I paid to have the work done and now that want more money. I told them fine we would level out the 2 spots they were referring to and to come back tomorrow. I was then informed if we leveled it and the installer did not think it was done properly they still would not install my floor. The manager finally cut the price to $400.00 which of course they demanded up front before they even show up. Keep in mind I spent an hour at work dealing with this mess and I have nothing but bare floors, all of my family room furniture and dining room furniture is shoved in every hole possible even outside under an awning, There is no where to eat dinner, no where to sit and this is already Wednesday. So basically if I don't pay them more money I am stuck. I have spent a small fortune at Lowe's over the years but after this I will drive right past them to Home Depot. I am anxiously awaiting what will happen tomorrow when they show up here. I will be here and I will watch everything they do.

Lowes review in Orlando, Florida: Damaged my 2009 Suburban's Bumper

I was backing into a parking spot at Lowe's in Sanford Florida store #1657 and a large chunk of concrete left laying on the curb punctured my bumper. I notified the store manager who came out and inspected the damage. Jim the manager stated since it happened in the parking lot they were not responsible. I asked him to do a report and he said he would. A week later still nothing from Jim. I feel they created a hazard in their parking lot and should pay for my $900.00 bumper replacement. I have called Lowe's customer service and they said they will check into it. I will update this e-mail when and if they respond.

call your insurance company. unless the concrete was in motion when it hit you, its your responsibility to avoid it.

your insurance might cover it.

technically lowes could go after you for damages, not the other way around. they wont, but you sure wont get anything from them.

thats how the law is written.

Will not shop Lowes again: too many times needed items are out of stock or misplaced on shelves. Prices missing creating problems at the cash registers. The biggest issue that removed Lowes from my DIY store is that they would not recognize my veteran status. Granted, I had forgotten my ID card , but at 70yrs old, my Veteran cap and my original "dog tag", I can't believe the store manager would not approve the discount-a mere 10%. I don't fault the cashier who seemed fearful of making the decision. I ask for the manager. I wrote the corporate office and got the same response. Had I gotten an apology from corporate and an explanation of policy I'd consider shopping again. But my letter did not support trust on my claim as a vet nor did I get any apology! No more lowes for me, my family or anyone who I share my experience.

Lowes not honoring extended warranty

We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer set from Lowe's with the extended warranty. Just after the Manufacturers warranty expired the washer started quitting mid cycle and displaying an error message. Lowe's has sent a repair person to replace the same part 4 times. Yesterday, after after the fourth replacement the unit did the same thing while the repairman was there. He said he "could not fix it". The warranty contract states that the LEMON policy will replace a unit after the forth attempt to fix it. While on the phone to the Warranty department, they started claiming that we had to wait 30 days after the last repair before they would consider a replacement but that they can deem to continue to try to fix it every 30 days. Not at all what is written in my contract. When I read them my contract verbatim, they claim that they have "their own policies". A supervisor then told me that if I continued to complain they would cancel the warranty and I would have to fight for a refund of that money and not get any repairs done. Asked for a copy of the language that says anything about the 30 days wait or their right to cancel our contract, she refused to speak with me after that. I asked for a contact in their legal department and she told me to look up the CEO and to write him. I believe Lowe's is running a scam operation, trying to weasel out of honoring their contract and training their call centers to increase profits by not honoring their contract. I will not be discouraged and intend to spend thousands if necessary to sue and drive business away from them. Integrity and honor are the true qualities to a business and it's people - Lowe's has neither! If you work for Lowe's, I'm, sorry for you but you are only as strong as your weakest link. The call center people should be ashamed of their participation in this scam. I suggest you not purchase Lowe's Extended Warranties for any product.

Lowes - Disabled Customer Assistance Review from Spring Hill, Florida

I am disabled and came into Lowe's. No riding carts. I went to customer service and asked for help. Their answer ,all carts are out. I was in customer service job for42years. I would have offered to get the next one available for me.Or send someone out to the parking lot to find one. I left the store without my shopping done.

I was shopping for a gas range/oven that had a self-cleaning feature. I was told by the sales person at Lowes that the Whirlpool Aqua clean self-cleaning oven was new technology and cleaned as well as a conventional self-cleaning oven only faster. This simply is not true. There are spots left after each self clean and to use anything other than what is recommended by the manufacturer voids the warranty. Not that the warranty is worth the paper it is written on. After dealing with Whirlpool, I found that Lowes was even less helpful. They did not even work with me to find a time a service person could come out to look at the oven.

Went to Lowes in Roxboro NC for carpet spoke with a very nice guy who set everything up for me and had the contractor out to measure the 3 days later. Was called 2 days after measurement and quoted $974 for install and everything had them repeat the amount to me twice to be sure. They told me I needed to come in to sign the contract for install and pay the amount quoted. When I first came to the store I was told the person over flooring was out for lunch and I would have to wait 45 minutes for them to return. Manger talked to me like I was completely incompetent and that I was wasting his time. So finally the person came back from lunch and began going over the contract with me then was told they had messed up on the quote and now the price was $2100. How can you mess up a quote that bad? So I told them that was to much being that I was quoted 2 days earlier for $974. So of course the manger got involved and said the best they could do was a 10% discount. Last time they will ever see me. I have purchased almost $40,000 worth of goods from them in the past 2 years through my business. I can promise they will never receive another dime from me.

there was a special going on through the Lowe's website for a hitachi drill combo kit that was priced at $159 for $55.95. I checked in my area so see if there was any available and to my surprise it was in stock. I purchased the combo, I received the confirmation number, and the purchased was charged to my debit card. A few minutes later I get a call from my local Lowe's. I was on the phone with the store manager and she was explaining to me that the item was in stock but it was missing the battery and charger. I asked he if she could order the missing parts and I would pick them up some other time. She refused and told me that it was not possible. I told her I was on my way to the store. After arriving I get greeted with a very sarcastic manager. after showing her all my paper work and explaining to her that the purchase has gone through on my debit card she goes on to tell me that the order has been cancelled and that all she could to is give me a 10% discount on another combo kit which was priced at $179. I ask to talk to cor prate, and after talking to the "Carlos" the corporate suit he goes on to tell me that there is nothing he can do and that the final decision is with the general manager. In the end I ended up getting charged and with no product.

Never order online and pick up at the store. I did last year and not only did they not have it in stock at the store like the website said it did, I was charged for the item and never got my money back even after complaining.
