Lowes - Staff Review from Silver Springs Shores, Florida

Shouldn't Lowe's corporate employees or their stock holders if they are publicly traded be HORRIFIED at the 1.9 stars they received. Just the fact there is a board on "pissed consumer" should alarm them. I challenge Lowe's corporate office to hire some customer service savy employees to travel around to your stores and train your staff. And if they don't comply. ..after verbal and written warnings...GET RID OF THEM !!! THEY ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO YOU!!! There are far too many people who want to work and will do a good job to put up with these LAZY, RUDE EMPLOYEES !!!

We had the same thing happen to us at their Ocala, Florida store while shopping for an entire home remodel. They must do ZERO customer service training.

At this point I would suggest to their corporate office to fire ALL of them and go strictly automated and a true diy store. Drop their prices since their payroll will be so low. THAT really is the only way I see them surviving another 20 years. I have NEVER Iin my life seen an entire group of lazy, laxidasicle people.

They could not have found more non customer service oriented people than if they went to a morgue!

Lowes - Estimate Review from Winter Springs, Florida

Took a brand new mower back to lowes because the carburetor was plugged. Altaquip came back with an estimate for rebuilding the engine for 300 dollars and wanted to charge 73 dollars for the diagnosis. I flipped went back to lowes picked up the mower brought it home cleaned out the clog in the carb and it started first pull. FIRST PULL! Lowes extended warranty and altaquip are scam artists. I talked with the altascam manager because they forgot to put all the bolts back in and had to roll up my pants because it was getting so deep. The problem is the majority of people dont know they are getting taken and just pay the bill. I am probably 1 in 1000 who are mechanicly inclined and knew what was wrong before it went to altaquip. Dont trust Altaquip or Lowes, scam artists through and through.

Had the same experience at their Ocala, Florida store. Rude, lazy employees.

And they hang sales flyers on more expensive items then try to substitute a much cheaper item. We picked out a bathroom vanity that had a sales flyer attached to it but there weren't any of that vanity boxed up so we asked an employee to see if they had any in stock and she said she would check which color do we want and I said the exact one there and pointed at it and added the white one. She said ohhhhh THAT particular vanity isn't on sale..the one that is on sale is one without any drawers. I said well why in the world would you hang a sales flyer on THAT vanity.

Put it on the one that is on sale...Like. ..DUH !!! But then we saw that was a common practice throughout the store. I guess some people will go ahead and pay the higher price because they liked the item they believed was on sale so much that once at the register they won't say no take it back and bring me the less desirable sale item.

It's a VERY low down, dirty practice, is VERY misleading, and is FALSE advertisment.

If it isn't an illegal practice, it certainly should be !

I din't work a Lowes but do work in the industry. I hope your attitude in the store wasn't the "I'm spending a lot of money, so you had better drop what you are doing and help me" attitude.

You have to realize you aren't the only person in the store. Let me give you an example. As a department manager I had a salesperson who was working with a customer ask my new assistant if a product was available. He wasn't sure and they came to me to ask the question.

As I was telling them how to get this product a customer walked by and assumed we were all shooting the breeze and complained to the store manager that we weren't helping them. It may have looked like we were standing around talking but in the 5 minutes it took to explain how to order the item both my assistant and salesperson learned how to order this product and made a $7500.00 sale. Your expectation of the only sales person in a department to push a cart (that you are just as able to push) to the front of the store leaving the department without anyone to assist others is just as rude to other customers. Not only that, you have a cart sitting in the way at the front of the store while you shop.

You may not have seen any other customers but that doesn't mean they weren't there. I will often be working with a customer and have to go to the sales desk and look up product in a catalog or on the computer for a customer while they continue to look at a product.

It looks like I am alone at the desk but I am actually doing research for a customer aisles away. Try a job in retail for awhile and you may not be so quick to judge.

Lowes - Master Forge made of shotty materials!!! WORTHLESS

I purchased a Master Forge four burner gas grill last year from the recommendation of the employee at Lowes at how amazing the grill was. Only one season and our grill grates have cracked open and are all rusted. The inside of the grill is rusted too. My husband had to take it apart and use a wire brush to scrape off all of the rust. Can't imagine its going to last one more season. What a POS! I spend good money on this with the intention of not having to buy another new grill every year. NOT The outside is great all stainless steel and pretty but the important parts on the is inside which is the important *** is made of *** materials and worthless. Shame on you Master Forge and Lowes for recommending it to me!

Lowes in Reynoldsburg, Ohio - More work down the road

I bought 2 gallons from my local Lowes, after taking it back to have them mix it for the proper 5 minutes i finally got started on my deck. I have 3 small dogs and they love to lay on the deck and i feared they would get splinters. So I rolled on the perfect color 2 coats in all and then I did my steps and railings where there seems to be more than my share of splinters. This was done in June 2014.......fast forward to 2015 and what do my wandering eyes see all my steps are peeled almost completely off. And now you just walk on the deck and what happens oh its peeling horribly......Someone will pay. I will be calling my local Lowes and PPG INDUSTRIES. DO NOT BUY.......

I purchased a washer AND dryer from lowes, they called telling me my order was ready to be shipped. The next day the delivery men came with only a washer. After an hour of being on the phone and getting no where I finally had to go to the store only to find out that the dryer I had already paid for was then sold and delivered to someone else! Three days later and MANY MANY frustrating calls from lowes and their delivery company we are finally getting our dryer. I would NEVER EVER purchase an appliance from lowes again. Their customer service has been horrendous and disappointing as we go to lowes frequently.

The cashier should / could have sold it as a pick up later. The cashier did not want to rering you up and get head cashier or manager to refumd rebill you items. Poor custer service.

Management at the Lowes in Pooler

There is a store Manager and four Assistants. Only two Assistants are excellent, the rest are horrible. They preach constantly about engaging the customers. Only two of the four assistants engage. Not even the Store Manager greets. They constantly hire seasonal employees and curtail their employment after 90 days. The turn over rate is huge. The store Manager prides himself with his unethical actions. such a shame because Lowe's is an excellent company with poor Management. Trials and tribulations, constant drama on the front-end. No one addresses the actual issues. People design unique excuses for calling out or not reporting to work. Morale is low in this store. When entering this store the tension feeling is high. The store does not seem inviting.

I'm not sure how yiu can say 'Lowe's is an excellent company but they have poor management." What exactly makes them an excellent company then? Their workers only reflect the lousy management's attitudes and lack of drive.

Computers don't run a corporation. The buildings don't make an excellent corporation. The products they sell don't make an excellent corporation. Is it the "concept" that you think is excellent?

Lowe's is a wretched corporation where customer satisfaction is non existent. I'm surprised their doors are still open.
