Lowes review in Stony Brook, New York: Install for storm door nightmare.

Stony brook Store. They do not call you back, they are not interested in the issue, it's a joke. I have spoken to managers, corporate office. No difference, they hire contractors who sub work out and when you have an issue they tell you, it's not covered to fix it correct but to give a temporary fix they will do. Makes no sense. I am closing my card not shopping there again. So glad I had them install the storm doors I bought not to have any drama. Now I have a storm door that ripped the door frame to my exterior door. Their repair would be to put longer screws into the broken frame. Had the door been secured properly this would not have happened however when the installer is a sub from the sub contractor and is being paid $75.- for the day they are in a rush to leave and really don't care if it's installed correct. One would thing a large corporation would have a screening process on who they hire. Apparently, anyone can be a contractor for Lowes.

Lowes review in Hingham, Massachusetts: Credit/debit card declined for no reason

I tried to use a credit card with plenty of funds available the other day and it was declined Three times--the same thing also happened with my debit card a couple yrs. ago. They could provide No reason for the decline and did not apologize when I went back after I called my credit card co. (and bank) and told them there were indeed sufficient funds available). This co. sucks and I won't be shopping there again. It seems they care little about good business practices and losing customers. Too bad as I like there store but will go to Home Depot (closer to me anyway) instead. I have seen many bad reviews about them (and people who worked there) online.

Lowe's rebate Visa (from Bosch Dishwasher purchase) card was declined at the local restaurant though the card has a plenty of funds. How embarrassing it was!!!!

A dozen of my extended family members got to see all of it.

I have NEVER experienced such with other debit card before... not to mention I have an excellent credit record.

Yes, because we decided that your card, one of 600,000 that get slid a day, is the one we wanted to decline for no reason!

Have you ever worked Retail? EVER?!

When a card is declined we are legally obligated to say nothing, for fear of embarrassing the customer.

All we can do is hand you a phone and dial a 1800 to call for the card.

This is a business, why would we willingly and knowingly keep you from spending your money!

Lowes review: Lowe's Newmarket Nightmare

Where do I begin with the Lowe’s Newmarket location… When going in to purchase a new barbecue we found that finding staff was a hassle, we waited for almost 15 minutes for someone to help us but no one responded to the call button. Getting a bit annoyed I set out to customer service to find help, after asking one of the employees if I could get some assistance in the seasonal/ barbecue section their only response was “I’m customer service, I can’t help you with that”. I’m sorry but where in the job description of customer service does it state that you can’t help a customer. After that remark I spoke to the HR manager and the manger was just as rude as the other woman. Finally after the poor customer service we received help… after 15+ minutes. I can understand that it would take the staff a bit longer to help every customer seeing as it was quite busy that day but for the staff to be so rude and unprofessional is ridiculous. Fast forward 4 days we came into pick up our lovely barbecue which we were told wold be ready by the 12th of May and to our surprise the barbecue has yet to be built or be found. The staff was given over 4 days to put it together and it was no where to be found. After waiting for 30+ minutes while they try to hunt down our non existent barbecue we were told that it wasn't anywhere in the store. At this we became extremely annoyed with the fact that we weren’t contacted prior to our arrival to advise that the barbecue wouldn’t be ready on time. When making out purchase Lowe’s took down all of our contact information including cell numbers, home phone, and email address. While speaking to the manger tensions got high and some cussing occurred. A bystander then appeared and started causing issues between the manager and us. The manager stood there and let the conversation become more heated with the bystander and when I advised him it was none of his concern he advised me he was making it his concern. The manager continued to say nothing. The manger stood behind the man the entire time not trying to defuse the situation or step in to say the man had no place in the issue. In the end I asked for a full refund for the barbecue and tomorrow I will be returning to the store to return the additional $500.00 worth of products I purchased. Overall I’m completely dissatisfied with the service we received at the Newmarket Lowe’s and I don’t plan on returning to that Lowe’s in the future.

Lowes review in Blaine, Minnesota: Delivery misinformation

I ordered a shower trench drain on-line, for delivery to the Blaine, MN store. I checked my order on line and the Lowe's page said "READY FOR PICK UP" . I went to the store, 16 miles round trip, only to find that the product had not been received. A Lowe's employee called the shipper and got the UPS tracking number, checked it, and found that the item was still in transit. Why can Lowe's provide tracking numbers on line, like Amazon does? It would have saved me a lot of time, and gas. I emailed Lowe's about this but did not receive a response.

Lowes - Tile Review from Tulsa, Oklahoma

Over the past two days I have been to 4 different lowes for a bathroom remodel.I now offically hate lowes. I was never asked if I needed help and only came into contact with the rudest of employees. I called prior to heading to a location to see if the tile we had chosen was in stock and the girl on the phone was flippant, unhelpful and rude. Next I called another location and the man on the phone was condescending and incompetent. Then we asked three lowes employees standing around to help to cut a board down and they said the saw was down. Considering my experience so far I called to verify after we left and it was not down. Then we returned a 10 dollar item because we had no need for it and needed a different part. We had to wait while 3 employees finished talking to then not be greeted and treated rudely. The "customer service" rep said, "really?" Scanned the receipt and said "your 10 bucks is back on your card" and walked off. My husband even tried to joke with the guy and he just ignored him.I have 2 degrees and one is in marketing, glad it will cost them more to get new customers after anyone who enters never returns!

We ordered bamboo flooring that was supposed to be in on 5/7/15. We were told on 5/9/15 that the order "was on the truck for delivery to the store". That wasn't true. Called on 5/10/15 asking if order arrived. Said it was on the truck that came in through the night. No. That wasn't true either. Husband went to store and they said it was actually on the UPS truck that would be in by 2 p.m. today. Again, not true. So we have a gutted bathroom that can't be completed and contractors on hold, no one that can tell us where our order is, and company coming Sunday with no usable guest bath. They were certainly quick to take our money. Totally and completely unacceptable.

Looking for a plant that was in your flyer on Saturday. Couldn't find it. Asked if anyone worked in the Garden Dept....finally a young girl came and yawned and told me she couldn't help as she didn't have a flyer! I went into the store and a supervisor came. Meanwhile this same girl who couldn't help me sneezed and the supervisor "Blessed you Sue"! He couldn't help me either! Had his phone and have no idea what he was doing on it.. I Found the Plant my self as 2 employees didn't have a clue what they were looking for. I Showed them where they were! Got to the cashier and she knew I was upset... and proceeded to ask me if I was having a bad day! Store3059 Teminal 14 05/09/15 13:23:13. To buy 2 plants took me 3/4 of an hour because your staff does not know their job. Excuse from the Supervisor was " Just started this dept and new people!!! I was so angry that I didn't get his name as I thought ..... you got supervisor...don't know how! I don't think I will ever go back and shop at Lowe's as your people don't care about customers. I tried to enter your survey but you want information and I typed it in and wouldn't except my so I came to this part of your complaint on line.

Dang, this kind of thing makes you angry? Dealing with under-trained staff at a big-box, home-improvement store?

Next time, if you can't take the appropriate time to look for the sales stock yourself without asking multiple employees about it first, turn around and walk out the door. Save your sanity. Stop taking your temper tantrums out on other people.

The staff at this particular Lowe's may be under-trained but they'll get better at their jobs as they continue learning.

You, on the other hand, will continue reacting like a child when you don't get your own way. You should be ashamed of yourself.

are you serious? I have gone to many lowes stores and have dealt with alot of employees who dont have knowledge or seem to busy playing around, chewing gum like a cow or they are just dumb.

Sorry but if I did this at my job I would be fired. Maybe they need to hire people who care about their jobs because of employees like this I will not shop at Lowes anymore. I guess I will be shoping at Home Depot.

I think maybe you have never had issues at these stores. So maybe you shouldnt knock someone down who has had issues!

Are YOU serious? These are entry-level positions routinely offered to people with absolutely no experience in the industry, and they are offered minimum wage for it.

You expect caring? Go to your local plant nursery where you'll be greeted with a more knowledgeable and helpful staff. Thing is, though, you'll pay more. That's the trade-off.

I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying what is. We've allowed Big Business to take over and crummy service and indifference is our reward.

And yes, I have received bad service in the past. Know what I do?

I let my pocketbook do the talking and I leave without spending a dime.

I certainly don't react in a way that causes the cashiers to ask if I'm having a bad day. Sheesh.

Drop 3k in 15min. then lowes forgets u as ur walking out.

We Bought a washer and dryer at lowes in rockford Illinois.No problem buying it for three thousand dollars in 15 min.After 9 Rockford store calls asking for a manager in 3 weeks still have no washer and not ever been able to talk to a manager.3 grand in less than 15min. and they basically say f u.We used to shop there and drop 10k annually a year easy.You could not drag me in there just out of principle now.just got dropped off and now doesn't work.Called store and got assistant manager and he said he couldn't help.

My son bought this kerosene heater from lowes he returned it because wick broke off the store he returned it to new castle pa didn't have anymore so they sent him to lowes board and Ohio store he got another one same problem took it to new castle pa store with receipt they said it was already returned what dumb *** so *** and rude called complaint dept told my son he can get his money back nope wouldn't give him back his money complaint dept again said the store would give him back money again they wouldn't now gas isn't cheap to keep running to this *** rude service desk now waiting for store manager to call I a so pissed this new castle pa lowes need to revamp managers and service desk people replace them with people who take care of customers and maybe lowes would have a better reputation that goes for all Lowe stores
