Abysmal customer service and sales service at the Lowe's in Bowie, MD. We ordered a dishwasher through this Lowes store--what ensued following our order was arguably the worst purchasing experience I have ever had. The expected delivery date, some two weeks later, for the dishwasher came and went. So we contacted the sales representative named Roy in the appliances department regarding the order. We were told they had botched the order and received the wrong model--we were told they would reorder the correct model and were assured that they would expedite it. This was a bold faced lie. When trying to follow up on the new delivery date of correct dishwasher I got a song and dance from Roy that he was working to verify the date for us, but never actually indicated when we could expect the delivery. I had to repeatedly call the store to try and get an update on our order--they never bothered to call us back despite assurances they would. Roy suddenly became unavailable to talk--always out or on vacation. I talked to Charles and Martin, also in the appliance department, to try and get some information on our order, but they proved less than helpful in nailing down a date and failed to call me back as promised to confirm a delivery date. They routinely fell back to the fact that since they did not make the sale/order the appliance there was little the could do for me. After reaching a peak level of frustration, I contacted a random manager at this Lowe's location who was able to tell me that I could expect the delivery now at a month and a half after our order date. I was very clear in expressing my frustration with the fumbling of our order and the shell game the appliance associates appeared to to playing with us straightening out their error. The general sense I got from this manager was an apathetic "sucks-to-be-you" type of response. I was shocked by the manager's tone and utter lack of interest in the situation I encountered with his staff. ***-poor all around experience.

I was in lowes granbury tx. Yesterday. I wanted to buy a drill press that was on display. The manager that was on duty wouldn't sale it to me cause she said all the parts may not be there. I own a machine shop and I told her I knew all the part was there. But she wouldn't do it. I felt like she was calling me ***. I but a lot form lowes and have for some time now. The reason I wanted that one was because there wasn't another in the box and I live 80 miles away. This took place on the 2-5-15. About 3:00 PM I don't remember her name but I know lowes will know. I really don't expect anything will be done about it. But I wanted voice my opinion. If nothing I will be going to homedepot form now on.

Lowes Price Match Policy is False Advertising

I found a refrigerator at another Brick & Mortar store for less and they will not match it. I spoke to customer service and they said that they were selling it lower then Lowes cost so they would not be able to match the price (able to verify online). I argued with them that their policy does not say that and that they truly do not have a true price match policy. The other retailer did not have it on sale, it was not on closeout, nothing abnormal. The customer service rep at Lowes agreed with me but said he could not match the price, let alone take another 10% off, because it was below their cost. He actually recommended purchasing it from the other retailer. Long time customer of Lowes and very disappointed, will be looking elsewhere. FALSE ADVERTISING

Lowes in Zelienople, Pennsylvania - Lowe's Billing Policy

Lowes Home Improvement charged me a $25 late fee claiming my payment arrived one day late. I pay all my bills electronically via my bank. I'd arrenged for the Lowes payment to go out on Jan 16 since it was due on Jan 20. The bank confirmed the payment was transmitted Jan 16 at 1PM. They also said recipients receive payments the day they're sent, but may not process them immediately. I then called Lowes and was told the payment was late by one day. I asked how that could happen given the payment went out days earlier. They had no explanation, but deleted the late fee because of my clean record. Had I not complained, I would have paid an unwarranted charge.

Lowes didn't charge you anything. The credit company that issues the card with Lowes name on it charged you a late charge.

Why aren't you complaining about them rather than Lowes? Doesn't seem like you know who you are doing business with.

Payment sent after noon on a Friday. Then Saturday and Sunday don't count.

Monday the 19th was a holiday (MLK).

So really they didn't receive your payment until the 20th and processed it on the 21st, making it late.

Lowes in Kalispell, Montana - Neglect of Some Veterans

I started shopping at Lowes in late 2014 and received the 10% discount for Veterans. Since the beginning of the new year 2015 I have been denied, and have therefore done my shopping at H.D. I was told I needed a new I.D. card (mine expired in 1965). After contacting the VA I was informed I was not eligible for a new card because I don't qualify for health care. Although I told them I don't want or need their health care, that I just want the card for the Lowes requirement,I was still denied. I served active duty from 1959 to 1962 in the Navy Seabees and in the reserves until 1965. What I really don't understand is the corporate wisdom? of not offering a 10% discount to the forgotten veterans of my era, when you must realize we can walk across the road to H.D. and get 10% off on at least some items. I hope this helps all of us. Bob H.

you two below are horibble people. this veteran and every veteran no matter how long they served deserve it if its offered.

most military discounts are for active duty and reserves anyways so yes he deserves that 10%. and 411 almost all places i know of also offer a 10% to first responders

Anybody that is a Vet has already done their time on active duty and shouldn't receive special treatment. The active duty military should have the discount.

That being said, Vets aren't putting lives on the line any longer, if they deserve a discount, then law officers, fire fighters, EMTs, etc.

should get a discount too. After all they put their lives on the line every time they go to work.

The same thing happened to me at Lowe's in Cranberry Township, PA. I, too, was denied by the VA for healthcare so I couldn't get the ID card. Lowe's doesn't have the big picture.

Lowes in Lake Forest, California - Two and a Half Months and $900 Later No Working Microwave

Sounds like the same situation I am in with an above the range microwave. Has been going on for 2 1/2 months. Just rec'd a phone call from Lowes that my 3rd microwave that was to be installed today is also damaged. Same as you, 3rd time I have stayed home. In the meantime I have a damaged microwave installed in my kitchen that I can't receive a refund on. I was so angry when they called me I used the f word over and over. Not like me, but I am so fed up! Will never go to Lowes again.

Horrible horrible in store customer service when came in to pick up on-line order. Received a confirmation email that it was ready to pick-up, when we got there nothing was ready. Had to wait for them to put the order together and waste our time. On top of wasted time, got an attitude from the satff like no one wants to help you!

It might be best that you try to devote time to do your own shopping instead of having someone do it for you. Would you really go into a grocery store and ask for an employee to do your shopping for you? This just sounds a bit like too much of a lazy person.

LOWES store#2652 FERN PARK Florida.. Terrible customer service from the "so-called" manager Paul down. I had to confront 7 employees until I found 1 Employee that acted as if he worked there. Complete lack of professional courtesy, or any courtesy period. Employees acted like their parents had gone on Vacation and left the kids in charge. For what it is worth, I will never go back. I also see why that store was dead at only 7:00pm. From now on we will continue to buy all our company`s supplies at local ACE Hardware and the Home Depot... LOWES store#2652 FERN PARK Florida..

bought an expensive ceramic grill. it was delivered. when we opened it all up, it was damaged inside. Lowes came and got it, but the credited our Lowes charge $592.92 when purchase price was $614.57. the customer service line says to call the credit line, the credit line and the credit line says to call the store, the store says to call the credit line....seriously? $21.60 no one returns calls, or emails. last year we spent more than $10K with lowes as we fixed up the new house. This years Masterbath redo goes to HOME DEPOT!
