Lowes in Round Rock, Texas - Lowe"s Hospitality

I believe that u have to go into the store instead of just calling..I had gone in Sunday and they came out Monday..I guess a plumber is a plumber and they can charge as they want. But as far as Lowe's goes I found them very professional. I was lucky to talk to the plumber pro in the plumbing department. I found everyone in the store to be very nice. Although I was just a few hundred more than I anticipated, which at the time was upsetting but, after I calmed down I realize that they came out in a day and Lowe's is not responsible for the extras that the plumber can and will charge....I believe for any appliance u have to go to the store to order not online. I like Lowe's.

Lowes - Manager Review from Radford, Virginia

Refrigerator not delivered as scheduled. I purchased new frig 12/01 on line thru store #437 in Lynchburg, Va. I live in Radford, Va and have rental home in Bedford County -75 mile drive. Requested delivery on 12/06 @ rental home in Bedford County. Was told delivery would be 10:30am - 12:30pm. On 12/06 I drove to Bedford home and waited. At @ 12:45pm I called asking about delivery. Was told they were running ~2 hrs behind. I called again @3:45 no delivery. I was told they left message with driver. Never received a call. At 4:30 I called again. Was told they left message. Never received a call. At 5:30 I called again. They connected me with a manager. He said would check and get back. He did call me back at 5:45pm and said they had over booked deliveries for the day and would not be delivering a frig to me on 12/06. I am furious. I told the manager I expect some compensation for my wasted day. I was also planning to attend a funeral on 12/06 but did not waiting on this delivery. We will see what happens. Customer satisfaction = Pitiful. I am expecting a big credit reduction on this refrigerator. Barry Nichols 1-540-480-0646

Lowes in Burlington, Ontario - Waiting 15 weeks for a washer & gas dryer with no solution

2.4
Details
Does Lowe's care? Store manager and department manager hide in the back while employees are left to shrug their shoulders and say wow that's really bad service but we can't think of offering a solution. So seven weeks (October 19th 2014)ago my wife paid in full for a new LG washer and gas dryer. She was promised a shipment was on its way and to expect delivery is 10 days. We have dropped by the store and called a few times.... "it's on its way" we are told..ok well it's been seven weeks now and no apology no new information no discount! Wow this can't be right lowe's is supposed to be a trustworthy company. Or is it? News flash.. Today we are told ..your order may or may not be at the Brantford Ontario store Jan 28th 2015... (15 weeks total ..maybe) take it or leave but don't complain because not even the store manager will make the time needed to say "sorry for the massive inconvenience" Question: Is Lowe's paying for all our dry cleaning or giving us free appliances? I'll happily pay extra for an apology if anyone is listening.

It is not Lowes or the employees fault. Yes they should have kept you up to date on everything, but it is not the stores fault for not getting things shipped from the warehouse, or vendors when they are supposed to.

I don't work for Lowes but know a bit about LG appliances. Lowes sold you the appliances expecting normal delivery from LG's warehouse.

My guess is that LG didn't have what you ordered in their warehouse. Unfortunately LG isn't very good at communicating that they don't have the product to deliver. I will also guess you ordered something other than white. When their warehouse is out they have to order it.

It is then scheduled for production which can take a month or two. Keep in mind they are made in Korea. Then 3 weeks on a boat before they hit the warehouse in Texas.

Then another week to 10 days to the store. Unfortunately all Lowes can tell you is what little they get from LG.

I think you missed the point, " hay we need to swap brands or refund you " just don't leave us hanging on for something that isn't going to happen.

At no point in the posting was anything said about requesting a change in product or refund, just looking for status on your order. You're getting the information as Lowes gets it. Not much more they can do.

You right, if its the managers job to provide information and suggest solutions to potential problems.

A change or refund would have gone a long way to avoiding the whole issue.

But it was never suggested.

If a company promised 10 days and then can't deliver, the customer will be understanding if they are informed. But left in the dark for months and treated like a problem to be avoided by management is a non starter.

A VERY Disatisfied Lowes customer

We use to shop at our Lowes store here in Bloomington, Illinois but after a recent incident that we found humiliating and embarrassing we get our home supplies at Home Depot, Farm and Fleet, Walmart or Menards but avoid going to Lowes. Here is the email I sent to Lowes headquarters about this incident: Dear Lowes: My wife and I have shopped at your store for well over 14 years now. We live in the neighborhood of Lowes Store in Bloomington, Illinois. It is convenient for us and we use our Lowes credit card quite regularly. We got our floor throughout our house at Lowes and had them install it. Our bathroom was remodeled and our Jacuzzi, wall cabinets and flooring came from Lowes. Our back porch was rebuilt and Lowes is where we got our wood and supplies. We have always been pleased with your service and products. But recently we upgraded our kitchen cabinets by repainting and getting new hinges, knobs and handles. When we went and bought our fixtures at your Lowes store in Bloomington we went through the self check out and before we got to the exit door a store clerk confronted us saying, she wanted to "search" out bag. There was no peeps or buzzers that went off, we were just a few feet from where we checked out. I said OK and set our bag down. She pulled out three items rubbing them up against this pad and when there was no beeps she said we could go. I told her that I would be talking to the store manager about this treatment because we felt it was very inappropriate behavior towards us. She was not searching anyone else and my wife and I are not thieves and have never been arrested in our lives. I called and talked to the store manager about this incident after we got to the restaurant to have our dinner. The manager said he would get with his Supervisor and they would talk with that clerk. We have not heard back from the manager. Since this incident occurred about three weeks ago we are finding ourselves going elsewhere for our supplies because we are embarrassed to go back into your store and be looked at as thieves. Sincerely Yours Charles Nicholson

Another ignorant consumer making assumptions about being stopped by a front end team member. If your that worked up over what you perceived to have happened shopping at Menards is that last place you want to shop at.

They will detain you for hours and make you sign for a 100 dollar fine and agree to never come back to the store or you will be arrested for trespassing. They do this to people all the time who did nothing wrong. I can assure you if Lowes really thought you were stealing they would have done something very similar. What the people said below sounds very probable to what had really been going on.

I only worked at Menards so I can only speak for them and I wasn't a front end team member.

However, I'd like you to go over o the Menards / Walmart complaint section and you will see many complaints of people unjustifiably being detained and fined. Better yet do a search on youtube for Menards security and you will see footage of a person who did nothing wrong being held against his will by Menards employees.

It could have been that the cashier just wanted to make sure that everything was deactivated before you went through the door and set the alarms off. The self check machines are known for not deactivating things correctly.

She rubbed those items against the pad to turn off the security device. Otherwise an alarm would have gone off when you left the store. It's too bad she didn't explain to you.

Lowes in Tellico Plains, Tennessee - Happy Holiday??!!

1.0
Details
Months ago I planned to order Levalor Blinds from Lowes, picked up the book looked at materials, no call from a request made. Was told they didn't have my number. NOT true. I have them in my contacts with them calling me on my cell. After them explaining to me they called the wrong number I went ahead and let them send out someone to measure my windows. I was delighted to see them delivered within 10 day, week before Thanksgiving. Installer didn't contact me until after...no real problem, just was happy he was here and they were going up. NO they weren't...!!! Order was WRONG! Ordered top down opening, remembered having the conversation with the sales girl about loving the fact they opened that way. Upon the installer taking them down and calling Lowes, I told him I needed the reorder immediately in fear of not being installed my Xmas. This was on the 2nd of Dec. Was told someone would call me from Lowes. It's the 4th and I finally called them finding out that my new order wasn't called in. Reason, picking up blinds first. I didn't care if my CC was charged 2X at this point just needed the order to be put through. Was told today that the girl who handles orders wasn't in until tomorrow and no one else could help me. I decided after thinking about it to call the manager. He told me he was sending someone to pick up the blinds today. Once again more important to pick up old blinds before ordering my new ones not caring about time and the Xmas Holiday. Finally after a girl called me to reorder only to tell me they would take 14-21 day to arrive with no guarantee of installation. I cancelled. Called the manager back only to hear him tell me "I bent over backwards to helo you" WRONG!~ bending over backwards would have been communicating with the customer 2 days ago and pushing the order through immediately since this was a in house mistake. I will never again use Lowes. I've been a customer for 40 years and they no longer care about customer satisfaction!

Lowes in Oxford, North Carolina - Generator Paid in full

I ordered a 16KW generator for my parents and was told it would be "like 3 to 5 days" for it to come in. I used my Lowes card t get the 5% and now the bill is due today and still no generator. All anyone can tell me is it is "processing". What does that even mean? Retail or corporate, no one can tell me anything except if you don't want to pay the bill until it comes in you will have to cancel the order completely. It's so frustrating to have to deal with such incompetency on a regular basis at this store. So i guess i go pay my bill like a good little sheep and hope i get a generator so my aging parents can have heat in the winter.

The "processing" is what shows up on the computer when whoever checks the status off your order. After it is paid for the order goes to the vendor.

It has little to do with Lowes after that point....

Everyone blames them, but they can not control how fast it is shipped to them. Especially if the item is on back order from the company, like most of the generators are now.

DuraFlame heater with extended warranty from LOWES not honored

Bought Heater & Extended Warranty on 1/29/14 for $114 and change. Cashier told me the heater would be covered for a year for replacement if anything happened to it. It ran great for 2-1/2 months or so. Put it away for summer. Got it out end of Sept. It ran ok for a day and then started not working sporadically. Would come on sometimes and not others or just quit working at anytime. this went on for about two weeks before I unplugged it due to fear of fire etc. I returned it to Lowes on 12/3/14 for replacement. they told me the Extended warranty was a Manufacturer warranty so they could do nothing. The service desk puts me on with Lowes customer Service - they take all my info - then call the Manf. then come back to me and tell me there is nothing they can do but it is covered by the Manufacturer and they will connect me to the Rep. at the Manf. So I get put on hold - 1-2 min. later automated voice asks me which Dept. I want etc. The Lowes C.S. person had not connected me but rather just dialed the Manf. Customer Service number and left me hanging. So after a 10-15 min. wait at on hold while using the Lowes CS phone the Manf. Rep comes on and I have to start all over again - all my info - what was wrong etc. They give me a number and tell me a tech. rep will call me within 48 hours to help me get it running. ???? No replacement - just MAJOR hassles- I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES AGAIN. Both the Cashier that sold me the EXT. War. and the Customer Service person lied- out right lied to me.

You meed to understand how these warranties work. They are an extended warranty that starts AFTER the manufacturer warranty ends.Your heater is still under the manufacturer warranty which apparently calls for service. Once the manufacturer warranty ends the replacement warranty kicks in.

Lowes in Norcross, Georgia - Rude customer service

Large Appliance saleswoman demanded her space after telling another customer she wouldn't help them without an item code because she had other customers demanding her time. When I became angry about a $2/ft refrigerator water line add-on, rather than trying to appease me, the customer, she whined saying it wasn't her fault and she wasn't being rude. Mind, no one ever mentioned the word rude to her but she arrived at that conclusion on her own then denied it. She also informed us, after the purchase, delivery would not be the following day, as posted on every appliance but, within a few days following receipt of the refrigerator in the store, which would be three weeks or more. This occurred at the Beaver Ruin store in Atlanta and was for a supposedly in-stock item. I told each Lowe employee I would write this review. None cared.

Why do you feel you shouldn't pay for the water line? They have to pay the cost of materials and time to hook it up.

Customers like you that think retail employees need to bow to them and grant your every wish really ruin a day for a sales person. They are only following company policies. They don't own the store and have the authority to give things away. Quit being a PITA and you will be treated a lot better.

As far as next day delivery you will find it's rather hard to deliver something they don't have in stock. Stores do on occasion run out. Then you have to wait for more to come in. Once they are in delivery can be scheduled.

Sorry, she can't go in the back room and build you one.

Too bad everyone can't work a week in a retail store as part of their high school education. Bet people would understand it's not as simple as you seem to think.

Lowes - Mechanic Tool Set Review from Mountain View, California

I was shopping for a complete 300 piece mechanics toolset, I was torn between Lowes toolset & Harbor Freight. I think Cobalt tools are better than Harbor Freight tools, the deciding factor was that Harbor Freight will replace any broken tool for life no questions asked. When I asked the salesman at Lowes what their policy was he said they would replace it if they had the tool, wrong answer. They lost a $250 purchase

I'm glad to know that Harbor Freight intend to keep every tool they ever sell as a stock item until the end of the world, after all they are known for their high quality tools that are made in tiny sweat shops in Taiwan. I hope you can go back in a few years and get a new tool when the ***, oops sorry awesome tool, you bought breaks. If they do not have the item, however, I hope you write a review telling people about it.
