Lowes - Review about Water Heater from El Cajon, California

Bought hot water heater and told it would be installed on wed. But the plumber never called. After related calls to Loews they finally set up appt. Thurs. but then decided they needed two people and charge more but need Loews to OK contract change. After repeated calls to Loews and promises of call backs with information, still no results.... And no water.

Bad Service Review

Every time I go there they only have one register open. Today there were at least 17 customers in the one open lane so I left. I will never ever return to a lowes store.

Lowes in Frederick, Maryland - Still waiting for the call to schedule delivery tomorrow. It's now 10pm

Ordered a dishwasher more than 2 weeks ago. Scheduled delivery for tomorrow but they don't give you the time. They say they will call ahead of time and give you a window of time. No call. I call the store and they say they will call before 9pm. Why so late? But who cares why so late because they still haven't called. At 9pm I call the store and they say call another number. It's the number for the company they outsource delivery too. On hold for 20 minutes and I give up. I call Lowe's customer service and am on hold for 20 minutes and I give up. I tweet a nastygram to Lowes and am told to go to a website and register and fill out a form. Seriously? Meanwhile my email to their CEO gets a reply. But she's only going to be at work for another 20 minutes. 20 minutes later and no call. Am I getting a dishwasher tomorrow or not? Am I bound to my house all day only to find out there is no dishwasher coming? What about my plumber who needs to install the dishwasher. Now I've messed with his day and schedule. Not sure if he is even working for the rest of the week.

Lowes - Warranty Review

I made a purchase on Friday 8.29.14 for a washer, dryer and a microwave per sale man it would be available for del on Monday 9.1.14 the dryer was not in Stock I let the sales man know I prefer Thursday 9.4.14 he said no problem everything was set up microwave would take 14 days because it's a bisque color and it would be a special other I said fine no problem I was willing to wait on the microwave today at 1:11 to be exact I get a call the washer is not available only the dryer. Which I could not understand since the washer was in Stock Friday just not dryer so that means the washer I paid for with my other item was sold to someone else . The gentleman said oh did they tell you the washer is not available I said they who I made this purchase with your company who is they he didn't answer and said he could not explained what happen nor he even said I'm sorry for the error nothing. I spoke to customer service in the store which they are no help because they cared zero about the situation, I came into the store cancel my order and I paid 1455.for three items but lowes was trying to give me back 1332. Instead I said to the cashier the amount is incorrect look at the receipt cashier and another cashier were speaking loudly two each other about person life and how she going home in 1 hr 20 minutes while my cancelation is being processed incorrectly. At this rate I'm irritated I explained she did not credit me for the warranty. She had to do another transaction to credit the difference and during this whole ordeal no one even apologies for the error it amazed me not even customer service which is what they are there for to service which in this case it was a waste of time. So as a customer I took my money paid 100.00 more to another retailer's because it's not the money it was the principal behind it. If someone would had acknowledge the error and said sorry. I would of been a happy customer but the lack of courtesy it's disappointing and alarming if they treated me this was imagine how many other customers and the out come is same.

Lowes - Delivery Service Review

Lowes has the worst customer service EVER. 2.5 years ago we purchased a new matching samsung front load washer and dryer. Purchased the 4 year extended protection plan for the just in case something happens. Well my Samsung washer is now broke so I called to have lowes send out someone to repair the washer. The nice polite guy comes in runs some diagnostic program on it and found out was was wrong. He worked up his cost for the repairs well it came to over 300.00 and lowes service co says well the cost is greater then 300.00 so the washer isn't worth the repair. Lowe's then says we will issue you a credit for the cost of the washer plus tax. The problem I have with this is the washer was purchased during a black Friday sale so we didn't pay full price for the set. So now because both lowes and samsung will not cover their product I now have to come out of pocket more than 400.00 to get a new washer not only that but I have to wait 10 business days for the credit and then another freaking 14 days for the washer to be delivered to the store then we can schedule delivery. WTF kind of customer service is by either company. We purchased samsung because we have never had issues with them before on their other products that we have purchased and we have spent thousands at lowes on home repair things and appliances. I'm not looking to get something for free but when something only last 2.5 years I would THINK they would want to make things right. Screw lowes and samsung I will not shop there nor will I buy another samsung product.

If you had taken time to read the service contact you purchased you would have seen that the limit of their liability is the PURCHASE price of the machine. They are holding up their end of the agreement.

As a consumer it is YOUR responsibility to understand what you are purchasing. Don't complain about the retailer because YOU didn't take the time to read your service contract.

Frustrating for sure. Unfortunately products can break, even though you expect them to last a lot longer.

In the retailer's defence, they are providing you with a credit towards a new unit. Without an extended warranty, you'd be handling the entire cost yourself.

Bought 440 square feet of vinyl planks for floors, only to find half way through the job 3 boxes were defective! They were different colors and would NOT stick.Went back with photos and asked what we should do, by their recommendations we glued the planks with a separate purchase of a glue they recommended! After a job that should have taken just hours, it took a week of replacing or repairing.We were also told to bring back the defective planks, so we did! Now...not only did this take much longer than it should have, now we have mismatched planks....The flooring manager after I showed him photos and what we had to go through just to finish this job, had the nerve to say that I WAS BEING DISHONEST on how many planks were defective! 3 boxes, all of which were bad got returned in pieces parts, because that's what it took to remove and replace them! They sell inferior product and then have the nerve to call ME dishonest! 2nd run in with dishonesty at lowes! The first time an appliance employees sold my daughter a water heater and overflow tank, the overflow tank couldn't be used so that got returned, only to be told it had already been returned and the amount was put on a Lowes gift card!. Long story short, turns out that appliance employee did it by showing in their system that it was returned and he collected a gift card! Shame on Lowes dirty practices!

Lowes - Review

We bought a $350 troybuilt lawnmower in 09/2013 with 2 year man warranty. Stopped working less than 1 year from purchase date. My husband takes excellent care of his equipment and was only used for small residential city yard during summer months. Now, Lowe's cannot find evidence of purchase though I have my credit card purchase information incl name, date of purchase, and cc #. Ridiculous waste of money. Last time I EVER purchase ANYTHING from Lowe's.

It is not the responsibility of a retailer to keep track of your receipts. If you purchase an item with a warranty simply staple the receipt in the front of the instruction book that has the warranty in it.

Of course too many consumers throw the instruction book away without even looking at it and wonder why their products don't work properly. Consumers need to quit blaming retailers for their own lack of responsible behavior.

This is an issue dealing, not with Lowes, but the warranty coverage. Because it's not incumbent on the retailer to provide proof of purchase, I don't think it's anything they should receive a negative review about.

Lowes - Review from Columbus, Georgia

I purchased a refridgerator that was "in stock" with my debit card on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Not only did I not get the next day delivery as advertised (it wasn't delivered until Tuesday), but it was an old beat up floor model. We called and were offered a replacement of a different model, but due to nothing in stock it'll take 2 weeks for a fridge. Now im stuck using coolers until I get my refund which will take 2 or 3 days. This is horrible and no compensation for their errors. Horrible.

Online Pricing Review

I had ordered something online at lowes.com and when I got to the store to pick it up, it was not what I had ordered and they said their was an error with the pricing online. I called the hotline and was treated very badly. I then spoke with the supervisor or lowes and he was even more rude!!! Said that lowes.com and th he actual store are different. Lowes will NOT have my business anymore!

Horrible Treatment Review

Just went in to Lowe's in Salisbury Nc was treated horrible all because I ask if I cloud plug in a fan on display. I didn't ask him to do it for me but only ask if he didn't mind if unplugged one already plugged in. Well it pissed him off he huff puff and rolled his eye and practically pushed me out of the way.
