Lowes in Portland, Oregon - Fumbled special order arrival, install, scheduling, vendor communication.

What a clown circus working with Lowe's has turned out to be: Order arrived several weeks after it was promised. When finally delivered, it was missing a part, which ate up another two weeks. A promised "next day" call to schedule am install did not happen for a week. The actual install happened two weeks later, but was not successful. The installer broke a part and massacred part of our house doing the install. One part had to be re-manufactured. We had to order a replacement for the broken part and another part that was broken because of the broken part. Lowe's promised to do a reinstall the day after the remanufactured part was delivered. No one from Lowe's notified us of the delivery date, so we got a call from the delivery person when we were away from home and had to drop everything and race home to receive it. Then Lowe's promised next-day install could not be accommodated by the installer, who wanted to come instead, a week later. When we put our foot down, the installer determined that he could come the same day after all. We raced home to prepare for his arrival. However, he called a few hours later, saying "the head gasket in my truck blew," and then, could not be sure if he could make the original date for one week out. We are at our wit's end. This whole debacle has been playing out for almost six months. We will never darken the door at Lowe's again and wish we could have our $2,300 back.

Lowes - Flawed Carpet Product and Installation

I decided to buy carpet for one of my bedrooms from Lowe's and my experience has been terrible. The installation was sub-par and they installers put down flawed carpet. When I called to complain about my experience, the customer service said that I would have to wait 30 days for the carpet to "settle" then they would review my claim. I am still in limbo trying to get my money back for the flawed carpet. The customer service people YELLED at me on the phone saying I needed to be patient and that they could not send someone out for 30 days. I should have used a local carpet company instead of a national retailer with subpar service. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again for any product after my poor experience. Be careful every buying carpet from this company!

Lowes - Nothing time and time again

You should shop Lowes if you want special order after special order to be screwed up each and every time. Within a one month period I ordered the following and got NOTHING - CERTAINLY NOT SERVICE!!! Deck Stain - well... that did appear about one month after I ordered and paid for it. They kept calling me and telling me it was in, I would then go to the store 1/2 hour away and was told it was not in. They had really weird lame excuses for this one. I paid almost $200.00 for this stain and they charged when I ordered not when it shipped. Requested estimate for a kitchen better than a month after they came out and took estimates, etc. The whole kitchen would have been approximately $30,000.00, which was fine. When I did FINALLY receive the estimate I had already moved on. LOL Tile Samples - six weeks later no tile samples Flooring - well this whole thing was a joke from beginning to end - purchased elsewhere Shower add-on Again bought and paid for in order to order. Called about two weeks later and was told it was backordered. That is something you tell the customer when they order or at the very least call the customer and notify them, but oh no, I would never had known if I didn't call asking where it was. I own income properties and cannot fix things when Lowe's finally get's it act together. They have sunken to all new Lowe's especially in NH and Maine, maybe elsewhere but I don't know that. I did speak to their corporate escalation team, useless and clueless. I now order EVERYTHING online with great success from everywhere excluding Lowe's and HD. Amazon is a great replacement for these "I could care less" retailers. Lowe's may have inconvenienced me but they cost themselves well over $30,000.00. Their loss my gain.
