Lowes Foods

Moved here three years ago from neighboring county.Thanks to bad economy food prices have gotten ridiculous. Lowes Foods in Mountain View south of Hickory NC is the worst. They must have done some kind of research and found a lot of high income retirees in the area. They draw you in with sales and except for those items you can not afford anything. Everything is almost double price. A 3.00 item in any other store costs at least 5.50 and in some cases more. The prices are unaffordable and you would think the government would regulate such none sense. The only people you ever see are parked in the parking lot?. Must be in neighboring stores. Maybe this will right itself.

Your installer does not apply to all...so don't harp on the who do not use Lowes installers, you got a lemon...your installer doesn't install for all 1,000+ Lowes stores

Two appliances bought at Lowes, cant be fixed for less then 1500.00

New refrigerator, less than 10 years old, compressor went cost $800.00 JennAir gas range, computer went cost so far $700.00 I had my mothers refrigerator for 20 years, redid my kitchen and bought all new appliances, took out the 4 year warranty, warranty is out, now all appliances are a piece of ***, all the repair men said do NOT buy at LOWES My husband is disabled we are retired and on a limited income. Lowes in Dayton, Ohio - *** customer service

I purchased a ceiling fan and a light to have installed in my kitchen. We bought them on Monday. The installed sales dept. called that day and said our installer would call by Wed. When I had no call on Wed., I tried to call into the dept. but was put on hold for 15 minutes without anyone ever answering the phone in the dept. Then Thursday morning I called the store again. A very nice young man said I should have gotten a call already and he would take care of it. Eight hours and no call later, I called again. This time the woman on the phone gave every excuse out there, first blaming the contractor and then blaming her co-worker in the office. At 9:42 p.m., I got a call from the contractor. He cannot install them until next Thursday--10 days after purchase. I should have just hired an electrician on my own, but I thought by setting it up at Lowe's I was saving myself some hassle. Clearly that is not the case!

Lowes does not stand by their service and replacement policy

November 2010 I bought a frigidaire refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The top and the bottom both have icemakers. Model # LGUB2642LFO. In the first year the icemakers broke. Yes, both of them. The electrical board had to be replaced. Next year the same thing happened. The electrical board was replaced again. Then the icemakers stopped again. The water tube was replaced, the lining around the door was replaced and some other parts, that took three seperate calls to Lowes within a few weeks time before it was fixed which counted as 1 service call according to Lowes because it was the same problem I called on each time and one month had not passed between calls. Within a few months the ice makers stopped again. The service man came out and made some adjustments and said this model is known for this particular problem. But since there were no parts replaced it did not count as a service call. It now stopped working again. I called lowes again. We are now 2 years down the road. I requested a replacement. By some act of God the icemakers just started up again on it's own. In the mean time I called Lowes to see where we are on my replacement. I told them it just started again on it's own and they said that since I haven't had three completed repairs requiring parts, ( it only counts as one repair if you call with the same problem within 30 days) I do not qualify for a replacement. The supervisor agreed that even he would be unhappy with a refrigerator as unreliable as mine!
